‘Picnic season is behind us here in Michigan. The leaves are off the trees, and the snow has already started to fly.
But just for a moment, think back to the joys of a summer cookout—hot dogs and hamburgers on the grill and a table set with various side dishes, like potato chips, pasta salad, and maybe some fresh watermelon.
To top the grilled meats, you’ll always have ketchup and mustard.
Now imagine that one of the guests is a college student—one who only likes mustard.
This fictional student is adamantly opposed to ketchup! And not for reasonable reasons such as health or allergy concerns…no, he labels anyone who likes ketchup as a “mustard hater” who’s oppressing others by using ketchup. But this is just the beginning…like the BBQ grill, his cause catches fire.
He finds others to join his opposition to ketchup. Not long after, you can no longer find ketchup on certain store shelves, in college cafeterias, or at some company picnics. And he’s even secured apologies from ketchup manufacturers for their history of transgressions against mustard.
Anyone who still likes ketchup or tries to defend their right to choose how to top their burger or fries is excluded and silenced. You might say that…

‘Twitter saw a rash of racist and antisemitic tweets following Elon Musk’s takeover of the social media platform on Thursday – although Musk is not Jewish.
After closing the deal at $44 billion, the business magnate immediately fired CEO Parag Agrawal and other top executives.
“Twitter will be forming a content moderation council with widely diverse viewpoints. No major content decisions or account reinstatement will happen before that council convenes,” Musk tweeted on Friday.
While the self-described “free speech absolutist” is expected to take a more easygoing approach to content moderation – Musk announced the deal Thursday by saying, ‘the bird has been freed,’ referring to Twitter’s logo – he told advertisers in a letter Thursday morning that the platform cannot become a “free-for-all hellscape,” The Hill reported.
Nevertheless, it appears antisemites have taken the news as indicating exactly that, as can be seen with a noticeable increase in antisemitism and racism.
“Elon now controls twitter. Unleash the racial slurs,” one user wrote, according to The Washington Post.
One single-word tweet, showing a single racial slur in all capital letters, was retweeted more than 700 times and liked more than 5,000 times, the Post reported, adding that it was tweeted Thursday night and remained online more than 16 hours later.
‘One national news story flying under the radar of most mainstream media outlets is the murder of an investigative journalist in Las Vegas.
Jeff German, the journalist, had unearthed startling revelations about Clark County Public Administrator Robert “Rob” Telles. Telles is a Democrat. The revelations are many, and likely a major reason Telles lost his bid for re-election in a Democrat primary.
German was found stabbed seven times, prosecutors said, outside of his home. DNA from German’s hands matched the DNA of Telles.
Executive Editor of the Review-Journal said the arrest of Telles is “an enormous relief and an outrage.”
“We are relieved Robert Telles is in custody and outraged that a colleague appears to have been killed for reporting on an elected official. Journalists can’t do the important work our communities require if they are afraid a presentation of facts could lead to violent retribution. We thank Las Vegas police for their urgency and hard work and for immediately recognizing the terrible significance of Jeff’s killing,” Cook reportedly said.
Astonishingly, a tone-deaf Las Vegas journalist actually attempted to place at least part of the blame for the violent act at the feet of — you guessed it — President Donald J. Trump.

‘According to sources, Chattanooga Moms for Social Justice in partnership with the Hamilton County Democratic Party advertised an event called Cookout the Vote which raised concerns that the organizations may be violating a 2020 Tennessee code that prohibits bribing voters.
The event was scheduled for the evening of Thursday, July 28th, at Brainerd Recreational Center in Chattanooga, TN. The original post that was later deleted (but archived here) contained an image with the following text:

Citizens of Hamilton County who saw the post on social media wondered if it was legal to feed voters as a reward for voting and have reported it to the FBI. Lauren Topping, attorney for the Bureau of Ethics and Campaign Finance, was also contacted and confirmed that it was a criminal matter and that it needed to be reported to the local District Attorney.
Our sources confirm that an email was also sent to Secretary of State Tre Hargett’s office and he responded with the statues and advised concerned citizens to contact the FBI and the DA.
Chattanooga Moms for Social Justice, depending on their non-profit designation status, may engage in political campaigns (provided that such activities are not the organization’s primary activity) or be banned from it completely. However, regardless of their non-profit status, they are still banned from bribing voters. Violating this prohibition may result in revocation of their tax-exempt status.
The Tennessee Conservative is awaiting confirmation of their non-profit designation status and will update as the information becomes available.
The group has several social media posts supporting Jill Black for school board in district 11 who is running as a Democrat.
A look at their Facebook page clearly shows their bias.
‘America First Legal (AFL) on Wednesday released shocking documents obtained from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) revealing concrete evidence of collusion between the CDC and social media companies to censor free speech and promote Biden administration propaganda.
‘A Colorado mother was cut off at her local school board meeting after trying to read out a sexually explicit passage from a book she said was available to children in the school district.
The mother, identifying herself as D. Barnes, spoke at a March 16 school board meeting for Adams 12 Five Star Schools, which serves Denver’s northeastern outskirts. She told board members that she was “very concerned” about the material that children have access to through their schooling.
“I do not favor book banning,” she said to the audience, many of whom had spoken before her either in support or opposition to the district’s policy regarding “gender non-conforming” and transgender students. “But I do want to tell you that pornography does not belong in our schools.”
Barnes specifically took issue with two books: “Gender Queer,” a graphic novel by Maia Kobabe, and “Lawn Boy,” a young adult novel by Jonathan Evison. She said that young children have access to these titles “via online resources that Adams 12 made possible.”
“Alison Bechdel writes ‘Fun Home’ about discovering masturbation soon after her first period,” Barnes began reading from “Gender Queer.”
“I discovered around the same age followed by the further realization that my ability to become aroused was governed by a strict law of diminishing returns, an elaborate fantasy based on Plato’s Symposium. The more I had to interact with my genitals, the less likely I was to reach a point of satisfaction. The best fantasy was one that did not require any physical touch at all.”
She then continued to read a section detailing the use of a new sex toy and various associated quotes.
It was at this point that the board decided Barnes was “out of order” and demanded she stop reading. “This is your first warning,” a board member said.
“This is a book that is accessible in Adams 12,” the mother protested as that board member asked her to refrain from reading further. “This is what you allow in our schools. This is what you allow for our kids to have access to. This is pornography and this is grooming for pedophilia.”
Another board member suggested restoring Barnes’s time so long as she agreed to keep the content “appropriate for K-12.” The apparent irony prompted several attendees in the audience to speak out in frustration.
“But it’s in the library. You made it appropriate,” a man yelled.
Barnes moved on to describe her feelings when she discovered “Lawn Boy” was available to high school students in the district.
“I was livid, I was angry, I was hurt that this was accessible to our children,” she said, arguing that the book should be treated the same way as “Playboy” or “Penthouse,” which don’t deserve a place in schools in the first place, she added.
The video of the four-hour meeting has been on the Adams 12’s YouTube since March, but has recently gone viral on social media after a two-minute clip of the exchange was shared by popular Twitter account LibsofTikTok.
In a statement regarding Barnes’s comments, Adams 12 said the district has just one copy of “Lawn Boy.”
