Psalm 139:13-14 “For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb.I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.”
‘“Babies in the womb” was the phrase used by one science article in place of the more usual, coldly inhuman fetuses. I approve of the phrase – because even the word fetus actually means “little one”.
The reason why we, as creationists are opposed to abortion and want to see it abolished is because it is the destruction of a human – a little human – made in the image of God. The psalmist says that God knit us together in our mother’s womb. These, and other biblical arguments pointing out the humanity of the unborn baby, show that the ending of the life of an unborn baby can only be described for what it is – the murder of a human being.
There are, therefore, many scientific indicators which also underscore these biblical foundations. It has been known for many years that unborn babies react to light. It had been thought that this simply meant that their incompletely formed eyes simply had light receptors, indicating “light on” or “light off”. A new study shows that the photo-receptors in second trimester babies are actually linked in much more subtle ways to other systems, such as the parts of the brain concerned with moods and emotions. In fact, babies can respond to the amount of light – not just the fact that light is present or not.
I have personally sought to speak to several Australian Federal Parliamentarians about the abortion issue with no success. However, a Queensland senator says “I am asking my parliamentary colleagues, and in fact, our entire community to consider the painful question: ‘what happens to a child born alive during a late term abortion?’ The uncomfortable truth is that the child is left to die.” – George Christensen
Most Australians are unaware that hundreds of documented cases exist of babies being born alive after botched abortions and then left to die.
Federal and state guidelines say no treatment is required. Just let them die.
Courageous and compassionate state parliamentarians Nick Goiran of Western Australia and Dr Mark Robinson of Queensland, both Liberals, have been shining light on this practice for years.
Sadly, their parliamentary colleagues and the media avert their eyes.
Regardless of which side of the abortion debate one is on, only those with the hardest of hearts don’t find the practice heart-wrenching and tragic.
I believe that if most Australians knew the truth about abortion and the harm it inflicts on mothers, they would demand reform.
It is a practice fiercely protected by our cultural and media elites; and by men, whose convenience is the primary beneficiary. Alternative views on abortion are mostly suppressed in the public discourse.
Liberal National Party member for Dawson, George Christensen, read of this while preparing to speak at the Brisbane launch of the book last July.
He promised that night he would push for law reform and this week he delivered, releasing the Human Rights (Children Born Alive Protection) Bill 2021. You can read the bill here.
He also released research from the Parliamentary Library which independently validates the figures Gioran and Robinson have been quoting for years as well as providing new statistics from Victoria.
In WA, 27 babies had been born alive and left to die between 1999 and 2016.
In the 10 years to 2015, 204 Queensland babies died this way while 33 in Victorian perished after botched abortions between 2012 and 2016.
Christensen’s bill requires medical practitioners to treat a baby surviving abortion the same way they would any other patient. Who would oppose this?
Currently the federal government’s advice to a doctor or nurse encountering a baby born alive after abortion is to “not offer treatment”.
I wonder if Scott Morrison is aware of this.
Christensen appeals to provisions in the United Nations International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
Both support the right to life. Both have been signed by Australia. But when it comes to the human rights of our most vulnerable citizens, we have chosen to look away.
In a media release issued yesterday and ignored by the mainstream media, Christensen says:
“I am asking my parliamentary colleagues, and in fact, our entire community to consider the painful question: ‘what happens to a child born alive during a late term abortion?’
“The uncomfortable truth is that the child is left to die.
“As one state agency (South Australia) so brutally puts it: ‘the baby … is wrapped in a blanket and the mother is given the opportunity to hold the baby as it dies’.
“This issue has been on my heart and mind for a long time.
“Now that I have more information on the number of children we are talking about, though those figures understate the problem, I must act.”
Christensen’s bill points out that Australia is in breach of both the Convention on the Rights of the Child, and the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights.
“I have provided the Human Rights (Children Born Alive Protection) Act 2021 bill to the Prime Minister and other key ministers, seeking their support on adopting this bill, or allowing a conscience vote on it,” Christensen said.
“The bill makes it an offence not to provide life-saving treatment punishable with penalties of higher than $400,000 for health practitioners and higher for corporations.
“It also could see health practitioners who breach the law deregistered in Australia.
As many jobs have been lost and businesses closed due to the CCP Virus the murder of the unborn continues unabated. ‘In summary, in Australia in general and in NSW in particular, pro-abortion services have taken advantage of the coronavirus – expanding their services online and via phone and continuing most of their abortion procedures unabated. The abortion industry is alive and well in Australia.‘
‘In conclusion, the worldwide abortion industry is alive and well – unlike the babies’ lives they callously and routinely destroy. Pro-abortion advocates have mobilised effectively and swiftly to take advantage of the coronavirus pandemic. They are exploiting this time of global crisis to weaken restrictions on abortions.‘https://righttolifensw.org.au/impact-of-coronavirus-on-abortion/
The Communist/Marxist/Socialist Left are out to destroy the family and nation. If President Trump’s team are not allowed due process of law then Biden/Harris will invade the WH and the war begins. Now, sleepy Joe is not nominating conservative freedom baby lovers into his CCP leaning machine. For example, ‘Joe Biden will nominate Attorney General Xavier Becerra (D-Calif.) as secretary for the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), the department notorious for railroading religious freedom via the Obamacare contraception mandate. Becerra has attacked religious freedom and free speech with zeal at the beck and call of radical Left activists in Planned Parenthood and other groups.
Becerra has abused his power as attorney general in pursuit of silencing pro-life activists and organizations.
In 2014, David Daleiden and the Center for Medical Progress (CMP) released a slew of undercover sting videos showing Planned Parenthood staff admitting to selling aborted baby body parts for profit, with one even joking about buying a Lamborghini with the profits. Planned Parenthood hired the firm Fusion GPS, now notorious for assembling the Trump-Russia dossier, to obscure the facts and suggest the videos were deceptively edited.
What is it with politicians? Abortion, euthanasia, Marxism, climate change etc. In my own opinion there should be no debate that abortion is the murdering of another human being. Yet, our politicians here in Australia, when it comes to murder of the unborn all they can do is pass laws that those who are pro-life may not stand within 150 metres of the murder clinic. These political hypocrites are more concerned with Koalas than babies! If any Australian politician, especially a NSW state politician, happens to find this article please take the time to read and consider what it has to say.
Job 10:10-11 “Hast thou not poured me out as milk, and curdled me like cheese? Thou hast clothed me with skin and flesh, and hast fenced me with bones and sinews.”
‘January 22, 1973 marks the disastrous turn in American law that granted women the so‑called right to kill their unborn babies. The Bible makes it abundantly clear that the unborn child is a human being who is known and loved by God as He knits it together in the womb. Science knows that even when it is a single fertilized cell, the unborn child is uniquely human. Now science is learning the truth of what the Bible has told us all along about the individual human nature of the unborn child.
Research is confirming that even before birth children in the womb are learning about the world. The child in the womb does much more than simply hear sounds, including its mother’s voice. The child also becomes familiar with odors in the outside environment.
To test what newborns were thinking, scientists very cleverly hooked up a pacifier to a tape recorder. They then rewarded a particular sucking pattern with various sounds such as mother’s voice. They found that the infants would concentrate on a pattern that would produce their mother’s voice. In another test, women’s voices, and even their father’s voices, were not favored over mother’s heartbeat – a familiar sound in the womb.
Sadly, here in Australia killing the unborn doesn’t get a mention when it comes to voting in state or Federal elections. This 2020 election in the USA has surely shown that ‘Politics is a dirty business. Mudslinging is common. It’s hard to figure out what’s true and what’s not. But one issue, another dirty business, is something that Christians in particular should know the truth about: abortion. And you know who should be pulling together to stump for a candidate who stands against the killing of our most vulnerable human beings? Our faith leaders. But instead, all we see are some of our most well-known faith leaders causing confusion and dissention.
In a recent article by John Piper, he stated that “boastfulness” is a bigger problem than abortion: “I think it is baffling and presumptuous to assume that pro-abortion policies kill more people than a culture-saturating, pro-self pride. When a leader models self-absorbed, self-exalting boastfulness, he models the most deadly behavior in the world.”
No one likes a braggart, but I’ve never seen boastfulness rip a baby limb from limb. Yet I have seen an abortion suction tube do just that. And I have seen a 13-week-old innocent baby fight for his life against that abortion instrument, only to die trying.
What a ridiculous comment from someone seen as a faith leader. And what a ridiculous justification to vote for a party that stands for the expansion of elective abortion through 40 weeks for any and every reason. Pathetic.
Pride doesn’t kill babies. Boastfulness doesn’t tear them apart in their mothers’ wombs. Arrogance doesn’t cause a baby to flee for their lives as sharp instruments seek to rip them limb from limb while they are still alive. No. Abortion does that and abortion alone.
We can’t legislate pride or boastfulness or arrogance. But we can legislate abortion. In fact, we can make it illegal. And that is what is on the line. Life is on the line. The innocent lives of precious babies are on the line. Not pride. Not arrogance.
Grow up. You aren’t voting for prom king. This isn’t a popularity contest.
Additionally, Phil Vischer, the creator of the “Veggie Tales”, released a video implying that a vote for pro-life policies was a wasted vote. I don’t consider Mr. Vischer a “faith leader” by any means, but I did find it quite ironic that the creator of a children’s series doesn’t find a pro-life vote worthwhile. Afterall, don’t you need children around to keep your Veggie Tales empire going? Anyway, not only was the video quite condescending to those of us who dedicate our lives to protecting the unborn, it was full of falsehoods. The video stated that the reason anyone votes pro-life is to overturn Roe v. Wade. That is a false assumption. Roe is one of many, many reasons pro-life voters vote for candidates who are don’t support abortion. The president has much power when it comes to pro-life issues.
Democrats keep touting the false line that under democratic presidencies, abortions are less because of democratic policies. This has zero to do with democratic policies and everything to do with state legislatures. During Obama’s presidency, the state of Texas passed a record-breaking number of pro-life legislation, decreasing abortion numbers across the state by 30 percent. Texas wasn’t the only one. Many states replicated these pro-life legislative efforts during his eight years in office, significantly decreasing abortion rates across the country.
Do you think politics doesn’t have a place in our religious communities? I’d wholeheartedly disagree. Unfortunately, we live in a society where sin has crept in and clouded societal judgement, just like it has throughout history, during the Holocaust and slavery. And abortion. I wish we didn’t have to legislate that killing unborn babies is wrong. I wish our society looked at growing children in the womb as Christ sees them: perfect creations with infinite dignity and worth endowed by our Creator.
Biden and Harris have already promised to work to overturn every state legislative victory that has helped to decrease the amount of abortions. That means no more ultrasound legislation, no more 20-week bans, no more bans of state funding for abortion facilities, no more waiting periods, no more parental consent for abortion, and no more care for infants born alive after failed abortions. No, this is not just about Roe. It’s about so much more.
This is why politics must be a driving force within our faith communities. Not only that, but God calls us to concern ourselves with government. Romans and 1 Peter talk specifically about our role in governmental affairs as Christians.
When people ask me about how I vote, I am not ashamed to tell them that I am a proud single issue voter. I vote on abortion. How someone cares for the most vulnerable among us tells me everything I need to know about every other issue. To me, there is nothing else as important as abortion. Nothing is as destructive. Nothing is as deadly. Nothing impacts us more. It impacts our economy, our social security, the morality of our society, our birth rate, and our overall humanity. If we are willing to violently kill the most innocent and vulnerable among us, why wouldn’t we be willing to abuse and harm others? If we are willing to dehumanize the most marginalized in our society, what makes us think that dehumanization wouldn’t spread to other marginalized groups? The elderly, ethnic minorities, the immigrant, the homeless? What we do to the least of these, we will do to all.
So please stop, Faith Leaders. Stop muddying the waters in order to justify voting for a candidate that supports killing children in the womb. Nothing else is more important. Nothing is more destructive than abortion. Nothing is killing more innocent human beings. Nothing is more dehumanization. And dare I say, I can’t imagine anything that must hurt the heart of Our Father more than the sacrifice of His creation in the womb. Stop using God to justify your immoral vote.’https://www.theclarionsound.com/the-church/abby-johnson-excuse-me-john-piper-but-pride-doesnt-kill-babies/
Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
When a brother can rise up and kill his own brother and show NO remorse at all, then I guess, the following shouldn’t surprise us!
‘Babies in Ireland may be surviving late-term abortions and being abandoned to die under the nation’s new abortion law, according to a new study.
Published in the journal BJOG: An International Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, the study provides a horrific glimpse at how unborn babies are being legally aborted in Ireland.
“In Ireland, several babies have already been born alive after abortion and left to die, admits a new study,” David Quinn, director of The Iona Institute, wrote Tuesday on Twitter. “This will cause absolutely no controversy, no heart-rending national debate, no questioning of what we have wrought.”
Ireland voted to repeal its Eighth Amendment, which granted unborn babies a right to life, in 2018. By the end of 2019, 6,666 unborn babies had been legally aborted in the country. The law allows abortions for any reason up to 12 weeks and without restriction in cases of fatal fetal anomalies.
The study included interviews with 10 Irish doctors who do late-term abortions on unborn babies diagnosed with fatal anomalies. Several described their work as “brutal” and “killing” with one admitting to “stabbing the baby in the heart.” They also expressed concerns about babies surviving abortions and uncertainty about who is supposed to care for the babies when they do.’https://www.lifenews.com/2020/11/19/in-ireland-babies-are-being-born-alive-after-abortion-and-left-to-die/
The biggest killer of human life worldwide is not the China virus but legalized murder known as abortion!
250,000. That’s the number of Americans who have died from the coronavirus despite the best efforts of President Donald Trump, frontline medical workers and Americans doing what they can to protect themselves and others.
It’s a heartbreaking number — no one ever wants to see someone die from a disease, virus or medical condition. And scientists, doctors, nurses and other people in the medical field have worked furiously to find a vaccine and develop treatments to help patients recover and recover more quickly.
But it’s also a number that deserves some perspective.
As people have sacrificed worldwide — losing businesses and jobs, closing schools and churches, distancing, wearing masks etc. — the abortion industry hasn’t taken a break anywhere around the world and especially not in the United States. Even while frontline medical workers were desperate for more PPEs, abortions clinics remained open and hogged those previous resources throughout the crisis, putting both mothers’ and unborn babies’ lives at risk while actual medical facilities closed to protect their patients.
As a result, abortion remains the leading cause of death in both the United States and worldwide.
While 250,000 Americans have died from the coronavirus and 1,358,413 have died worldwide, those tragic numbers pale in comparison to the number of babies killed in abortions. The number of unborn babies who died in the U.S. and internationally from abortions far surpasses both.
Based on Worldometer abortion statistics, there were an average of around 3.5 million abortions per month in the world so far in 2020. That means that approximately 37,709,161 unborn babies were aborted this year. At a clip of 125,000 abortions on babies every day, that means the same number of babies have been killed in abortions in just 11 days as the number of people worldwide who have died in total from the coronavirus. No death is better or worse than another and every human being has the exact same right to life, but the comparison is staggering.
In the United States, there are over an estimated 2,465 babies who die in abortions daily, according to estimates from the Alan Guttmacher Institute. That means, as of today, 796,438 babies have been killed in abortions — more than three times the number of Americans who have died from the coronavirus. But there is not the same nationwide attention on their deaths as their is COVID.
These abortions did not destroy “pregnancies” or blobs of tissue or clumps of cells. They destroyed unique, living human beings – unborn babies with their own separate DNA and almost certainly a beating heart. This is basic biology, and abortionists themselves admit that abortions kill human beings.
This guy at the top in the Vatican is definitely out of step with what the Roman organization once held as far as sanctity of life. One example of this is that ‘Pope Francis reportedly congratulated former vice president Joe Biden Thursday, the Biden transition team claimed, even though Biden hasn’t officially won the disputed election and supports unlimited abortions.
Here’s more:
Biden spoke with the Holy Father and thanked him for “extending blessings and congratulations,” according to Axios. Biden also praised the pope for “promoting peace, reconciliation, and the common bonds of humanity around the world,” the publication reported.
“The president-elect expressed his desire to work together on the basis of a shared belief in the dignity and equality of all humankind on issues,” Biden’s transition team said in a statement, Axios reported.
The publication noted that these issues include “caring for the marginalized and the poor, addressing the crisis of climate change, and welcoming and integrating immigrants and refugees into our communities.”
