In the Book of Daniel ‘King Darius was persuaded by his lieutenants that it would be a good idea to sign a decree saying that for thirty days no one could “petition” any power or anybody other than the King himself! If anybody was found who disobeyed the decree, he was to be thrown into a den of lions!
Of course, the king didn’t know everything, neither could he do everything for everyone. So the decree was not only an attempt to make himself feared, but it was to make something that was not true appear to be true in the minds of submitted subjects – a pretense for the purpose of power. In effect, it was a decree of “pseudo-science” (literally “false-knowledge”, to translate the Greek and Latin combination-word).
Daniel, who had earned the favored position as highest official for years, was caught in a trap set by the many jealous officials around him. His life was at stake! But he did not adjust his normal practice. He continued to pray to God on his knees three times a day with his “windows open” toward Jerusalem while he and his people were exiled in the pagan city of Babylon. He could be seen.
You know what happened. He was thrown into the lions’ den. And God miraculously delivered him!
Today we seem to be in the midst of an incredible proliferation of pseudo-sciences – of “decrees” that are grounded in false-knowledge. Much like the decree of King Darius in Babylon, the state power seeks our submission to their authority under a pretense.
For example, with the COVID-19 pandemic largely behind us, we have the benefit of hindsight. In hindsight, many of those countries and states which had heavy lockdowns and closures, masking and social distancing requirements, and vaccine enforcements by various authorities and health departments fared no better than those countries and states which did not.
Certain countries in Africa and Asia, for example, which did not have the health care apparatus and organization of America or Western Europe, did much better than their “advanced” counterparts. They had the freedom to rely on inexpensive malaria tablets (Hydroxychloroquine), anti-parasite tablets (Ivermectin), and free Vitamin D via rural life in the sunshine.
Yet, the dispensing and even discussion of such alternatives was crushed by the “richer” and “better educated” “authorities”! And as it became undeniable that the highly touted and mandated vaccines neither prevented the disease nor its transmission, the CDC simply changed the definition of a “vaccine”. In September 2021, a vaccine went from something that “produces immunity to a disease” to something that “stimulates the body’s immune response”. But vaccine mandates continued with vehemence in many jurisdictions. This in spite of the fact that the recorded “vaccine adverse events” have been enormous for the COVID “vaccines”, larger than any vaccine in history, and continuing to increase! You might think something is going on.
And “Climate Change” hysteria, as discussed last month – also with its share of heavy censoring of discussion and debate – is another “crisis” being pushed. But making energy less available, dis-empowering free societies versus the Communist and Islamic world, and promoting policies which result in food shortages also plays into greater control by the globalist elites and authorities. Could there be a similar goal?
For many years, evolution itself has been decreed by state authorities as fact, stopping all debate and alternative viewpoints in official circles – even though there is so much wrong with the theory. It just doesn’t work! But it supports Godlessness, Humanism and Communism!
Such ideas drive a humanist, globalist, One-World agenda. Eventually, the Bible says in a plain-sense reading that there will be a global kingdom united under a figure called the Anti-Christ.
“Progressive” enthusiasts also stir up and manipulate bitterness toward an “oppressor class” – the same bitterness which drove Karl Marx. This is the pursuit of incremental Marxist dictatorships – a creeping, godless vision which wants government control – even thought control – along with the abolition of absolute morality founded on religion. The Marxist “dialectic struggle” promotes the “antithesis” to the Christian “thesis” in round after round after round. This is a subversive push against Western and American Democracy – founded on the basis of biblical influence and historically the enemy of Communism.
But think about it. The antithesis to creation is evolution. The antithesis to “the rule of law” is “defund the police”. The antithesis to “equality under God” is the idea that people’s mindset is controlled by their skin color (Critical Race Theory). It’s just plain old racism. The antithesis to “male and female created He them” (Genesis 1:27) is gender confusion and transgenderism. The antithesis to the sanctity of human life is abortion up to the moment of birth. We could go on. Each of these “antitheses” to biblical truth have their own support in some sort of “pseudo-science” (false-knowledge) theorizing.
Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn lived through these sorts of things in the Soviet Union. He wrote in his now classic book, The Gulag Archipelago: “There exists a collection of ready-made phrases, of labels, a selection of ready-made lies. …every word, if it does not have to be a direct lie, is nonetheless obliged not to contradict the general, common lie.”
But Solzhenitsyn had the solution. Not only was he a Christian and so could live in ultimate hope of the beauty and glory of God! But he wrote that we have the power, each one of us, to “Live Not by Lies”, as his famous essay was titled. In it he described how to break the hold of the tyrants. Each one of us can choose to one degree or another, like Daniel, not to participate in the lie. We can choose in the prompting of the Spirit not to use the phrases and labels of the lie, the desired behavior of the lie, or whatever agreeing accommodation of the lie.
And here’s more good news, from Isaiah: “When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him. And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression…” (Isaiah 59:19b-20a). It is an undeniable truth as time passes that we are getting closer to the “last of the last days”, to the Second Coming of Christ! ‘I have written here previously of several attempts to enact “nature rights” kinds of laws, specifically targeting water, in the State of Florida. The threat became so real — with Orange County passing a “rights of water” ordinance — that a law was enacted at the state level prohibiting granting rights to nature.
That didn’t stop a “lake” in Orange County from suing. But the case was just tossed based on state preemption. The same thing happened in Ohio when a local election (with a 9 percent voter turnout) granted rights to Lake Erie.
Good. That’s how it is done.
Let’s Not Be Sanguine
But this victory should not make us sanguine. “Nature rights” and “animal rights” activists will keep trying. And there is no denying they are making incremental inroads. Six rivers and two glaciers have “rights.” More than 30 U.S. cities have granted rights to nature. So have several Latin American countries’ statutes and/or constitutions, and so ruled a court in India. An Argentine court granted “nonhuman personhood” to an orangutan. The New York Court of Appeals denied personhood to elephants, but only by a 7–2 margin. When that was tried on chimps in the same court just a few years before, it didn’t even get a hearing. Step by step, inch by inch.
The time is now for all U.S. states and the federal government to enact laws that restrict “rights” to the human realm and deny direct legal standing to any animal or aspect of the natural world in any court of law. As the Florida lawsuit’s outcome shows, such laws could stop these subversive movements cold.
That would not stop debate about environmentalism and animal welfare. Nor should it. ‘After a decade of denial and delay, Australia deserves a better future – one with cheaper power, more jobs, and less emissions,’ said Energy Minister Chris Bowen, in his last media release prior to gaining government.
Mr Bowen advocated replacing coal generators with wind and solar, with their shares of electricity supply to increase from 30 per cent to 82 per cent by 2030. To facilitate this, he proposed spending $80 billion on transmission, thereby quadrupling its present costs.
He also ridiculed a Morrison government that ‘does not believe renewables are the cheapest form of energy, or that the world’s climate emergency is Australia’s jobs opportunity’.
Following the May election – the ALP, along with Greens and Teals – received all their Christmas presents at once with an energy supply shortage where a third of the coal generators were out of action, bringing an eight-fold increase in wholesale prices.
After two weeks in office, the new government is now silent on its ludicrous claim that its replacement of coal with high-cost wind/solar generation will save households $275 a year.
The June 8 meeting of energy ministers endorsed the transmission part of the ALP plan only to see this undermined the very next day with the announcement of delays in a crucial element – the conversion of the Snowy Hydro system into a renewables-supportive pumped hydro facility.
Panicked by the tenfold increase in electricity prices, the energy ministers announced measures to patch up the wounds in the market caused by the very political controls they were amplifying. These included giving regulators powers to trade gas, with no consideration of the effects of this on other suppliers’ actions.
Energy ministers also announced replacing the existing ‘energy only’ market with a UK-style ‘capacity market’. Such a system ostensibly offers more funding to controllable supplies like those from coal, gas, and hydro. But it is less effective and more expensive than having decisions on supply reliability made by retailers who need to balance contracts between many different sources. Western Australia operates with a ‘capacity market’ and it has added costs without improving availability.
The recent bankruptcy of half of the UK’s energy retailers demonstrates that a capacity market does not give greater security.
Fundamental harm has been done to the energy system as a result of politicians meddling in commercial matters. The creation of the National Electricity Market and privatisations two decades ago has brought to Australia the world’s most efficient, lowest-cost electricity supply.
There are two reasons why it has since gone pear-shaped.
First, governments have subsidised wind and solar, making coal and gas generators unprofitable and forcing their closure. Governments made it clear that coal generators, which supply 60-70 per cent of our electricity, have a very limited social license to operate. They inhibited access to new coal supplies, accepted activists’ attacks on coal, and closed their eyes to policies of banks that refused loans and of insurance companies that refused cover.
Secondly, governments have foreclosed exploration and development of abundantly available gas in South Australia, Victoria, and New South Wales. Astonishingly, in face of consequent shortages, the Victorian energy minister, Lily D’Ambrosio, advocated diverting Queensland gas to Victoria. In response to criticism of this policy, Premier Daniel Andrews suggested it was only possible for Victoria to supply gas if we ‘frack up the joint’ which he claims (contrary to all the evidence) will harm our prime agricultural land. The state Liberal Party shares the same policy to the great detriment of the people the politicians supposedly represent.
The industry has been treated as the playground of politicians. They have compounded their own errors in subsidising renewables that undermine the whole system by funding the will-o’-the-wisp (which is hydrogen power) and by appointing activists to bloated regulatory agencies and to their own departments.
Creating the damage is easier than repairing it.
The subsidies to wind and solar will continue to poison efficient supply for many years to come. But as a start, governments must abandon all subsidies, free up regulatory restraints, and disengage from controls over retailers and generators. Efficient electricity supply, like that of groceries, telephony, and cars, requires market – not government – control. As has been demonstrated, the latter brings especially perverse outcomes when it seeks to specify particular technologies.
Rectifying the damage also requires restoring the social licence to build new coal power stations and nuclear power. This involves correcting an environment whereby financiers have joined regulators and activists in preventing new investment.
Government leadership is required to undo this damage, including by upholding laws that prevent trespass, abandoning requirements on firms to conform to concocted environmental pressures, and making all businesses aware that discrimination against energy suppliers is alien to government policy.
This will not be easy.
Ministerial statements demonstrate an ignorance in blaming the cause of the current crisis on gas and coal. Both Labor and Coalition politicians have, for the most part, listened to activists and subsidy-seekers and drunk the kool-ade that wind/solar is not only necessary to save humanity but is also cheaper. The recession was guaranteed and triggered when company bosses were pressured by tiny groups of lobbyists to plan their businesses around ESG nonsenses.
ESG, in case you’ve been asleep for a while, stands for ‘environmental, social and governance’ regulations. Today companies are pretty well forced to put these issues way above finding employment for staff, satisfying customers and making a profit for shareholders.
Then the covid fraud really moved things along nicely for the billionaire conspirators.
In 2020 alone, the world’s workers lost $3.7 trillion in earnings with the self-employed and small business owners suffering most and public employees suffering very little if at all.
The elderly were also particularly badly damaged, in every respect, by the covid fraud – the biggest fraud in history. And, let us not forget, there are still people around who are so terrified by the thought of what they regard as the ‘plague’ that they have not left their homes for two years.
Then they manipulated a war scenario: a real ‘Wag the Dog’ war.
And the recession began in earnest.
The economic crash was carefully designed to wreck the economy while sustaining an ever enlarging State bureaucracy.
House prices have for decades been allowed to soar for this moment. There will now be mass bankruptcies – entirely according to plan. Inflation is heading into double figures around the Western world. We are all Argentina and Venezuela now.
Half-witted, retarded greens and climate change nutters, who have ventured further into the world of pseudoscience than I would have thought possible, believe that the coming recession will save us all. The idiots whose hobby is gluing themselves to motorways think that our use of fossil fuels and fertilisers means that seven billion people are going to have to crowd together on the top of Mount Everest to survive. They are now welcoming the recession because it will mean less travel, less heating and less hot food – especially for the world’s poor.
And so they’re taking opportunity of a war to lead us into net zero and global genocide.
The mad climate change nutters probably think they are caring people but they are cruel and ruthless and they don’t give a damn about anything other than their distorted, selfish ambitions. They are happy to let the end justify the means as long as the end means victory and power they will put up with a few hundred million Africans starving to death.
The startling fact is that left wing commentators excitedly supported and promoted the covid fraud and were delighted that millions of people in Africa descended into starvation territory.
The lefty liberals are thrilled by the genocide in Africa because they have been tricked into supporting the billionaire conspirators.
The mad lefties thought the covid world would take them straight towards a global government run by communists. They were wrong, of course. They’d been tricked. The world was heading straight for the New World Order planned by the Rothschilds, the Bilderbergers, the World Economic Forum and a bunch of miscellaneous psychopaths.
(The only countries in the world which didn’t descend into chaos were Tanzania and Sweden. Tanzania did not impose any covid-19 restrictions in 2020 and had no more deaths than usual. Sweden introduced very few restrictions, had lower mortality rates than anywhere else and was the first to recover from the consequences of the fraud. The mainstream media skilfully avoided mentioning these simple but inconvenient truths.)
Before the Russian invasion of Ukraine took place it was already possible to see the Great Reset beginning to develop – with money and power being concentrated in fewer and fewer hands, with State authority increasing and with cronyism and State inefficiency and theft of public money by politicians and civil servants rising dramatically.
Now things are getting worse by the second. Prices will soar. Jobs will disappear. The long-awaited housing crash will come.
And we are heading for the biggest recession anyone under 100 years of age can possibly remember.
Most people have no idea how awful the future is going to be.
