Have you ever wondered why helmets have to be removed in banks, airports etc. but an Islamic head (Niqab) or full face body covering (Burka) on a Muslim woman does not?  Well, the political party One Nation is confronting this issue in the Australian state of New South Wales (NSW).

On the One Nation web site we read that ‘The question of Islamic full-face coverings has been ignored by the major parties in NSW, which are frozen and fearful of the PC-outage industry. Pauline Hanson’s One Nation, however, believes in speaking frankly about this vital social and security concern.

For many Australians, an important question of social integration concerns the wearing of the burqa and other head coverings by Islamic women. At its core, this is a sexist practice, decreed by male relatives to stop other men from viewing the bare flesh of ‘their women’.

One would normally expect the Left of politics to object to sexism of this kind. But in the confused world of identity politics, it’s a case of identities colliding – putting Islamic right ahead of female rights.

So what should be done? As a matter of personal freedom, adults should be able to wear what they want in the privacy of their own home and community. As the UK politician Boris Johnson has said, if Islamic women want to walk around looking like black post-boxes that’s their business, as long as it does not harm the rest of society.

An obvious public issue is the question of security screening. If a full view of a person’s face/head is required for security purposes at airports, banks etc, Islamic full-face coverings must also be removed. This includes the burqa (full body/face covering with mesh around the eyes) and niqab (face veil leaving the eyes clear).

An important One Nation objective is to reunite our fractured society. One of the principles of Western civilisation is the ability to speak to each other, face-to-face, building social trust and cooperation.

In Australia, this means speaking English and being able to look at each other’s face. This is a standard social practice in our country. We cannot build a stronger society, with people crossing racial and religious boundaries in getting to know each other, if we cannot talk to our fellow citizens face-to-face.

It also helps in the work of government if staff in hospitals, schools, motor registries, courts, police stations etc can see the faces of the people they are dealing with. Accordingly, One Nation policy is to require the removal of Islamic full-face coverings in all NSW Government buildings. It seems  today’s Christianity follows the culture wherever it may lead. Now it seems Kingdom Diversity is the thing! This Kingdom Diversity was new to me so it required a little research which didn’t take long. It seems the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) is one of many homes for this Kingdom Diversity. For instance, the SBC president J. D. Greer has said ‘ Churches are a reflection of the coming unity, not its complete fulfillment. However, even before Greer’s statement the schools associated with the SBC were promoting this Kingdom Diversity. Take for instance Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary has ‘…launched it’s Kingdom Diversity Initiative in 2013 with the goal of seeking and equipping students from every corner of the kingdom to serve in every context of the kingdom. SEBTS has seen significant growth in the last five years, both numerically and culturally, through intentional efforts like the Kingdom Diversity Scholarship, the Kingdom Diversity Missions Initiative, student events and faculty trainings. Are these young Cedarville U  along with other SBC Christians so bigoted they must have these programmes in their schools and seminaries to break down their Christian racist attitudes? Oh, by the way, Cedarville U also has a Civil Rights Bus Tour!

Perhaps Cedarville and all these other virtue signaling Christians should read Acts 17:26 And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth each and every day! Then, perhaps their heart and life will reflect true Christianity without any bias in spite of one’s skin color!

This article is a carry over from yesterday’s article on Cedarville University, Anthony Moore and Thomas White. As a short background to Cedarville U, Cedarville University was for many years Cedarville College and an approved school of the General Association of Regular Baptist Churches (GARBC) https://www.garbc.org/.

Interestingly, time either makes men and organizations either stronger or weaker. When the GARBC abandoned the approval system it wasn’t long until Cedarville was accepted as a school of the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC). Now, becoming an approved school of the SBC doesn’t mean this issue with Anthony Moore is a direct result of that but read the following article and make your own judgement.

‘I’ve had an unusually high amount of people who wish to stay anonymous feeding me information on the Anthony Moore/Thomas White/Cedarville University scandal. I tip my hat to all of you for the excellent work you have done.  Shortly after publishing this article, I received some additional evidence that Dr. Thomas White, President of Cedarville University, has not been truthful in the statement he published on April 24, 2020.

Here are some items mentioned by Thomas White in his statement:

“To the best of our ability, we attempted to establish that in the beginning of this plan, Anthony would be a staff member performing administrative responsibilities and doing whatever was needed to allow for more time between his sinful action and meaningful ministry.

That letter included the following statements:

• He would begin as staff, and not faculty, to build a track record of continued faithfulness before engaging with our students.

Going into the second year, I checked with his pastor and Dr. Lee to see if they had any concerns, since those two had worked most closely with Anthony. Neither expressed concerns. We proceeded with our stated plan for year two. At this point, it was 18 months from when I first learned of this incident before Anthony served as a professor in a classroom.

On October 3, 2018, our Trustees interviewed Anthony, just as they would any other potential faculty member at Cedarville University. On October 4, 2018, Trustees voted to approve granting Anthony a faculty title and allowing him to teach in our School of Biblical and Theological Studies.”

The documentation below seems to prove that White is a prevaricator. But perhaps he can offer a plausible explanation.

Less than 2 months after Moore was hired by Thomas White it appears he was on a Biblical Apologetics panel. It would sure seem that Dean Jason Lee – a good friend of Moore, has him on the panel as a Bible professor.

On April 24, 2020, I published a guest post by Lee Enochs. Mr. Enochs is an intelligent man who provided me with some crucial information in the case of Anthony Moore. However, it needs to be noted that Mr. Enochs was not my only source of information for this story.

In Mr. Enochs post he stated:

“I also have no personal animosity towards Dr. Thomas White who I count as a long time brother and friend. I take him at his word that he did not know the full extent of Anthony Moore’s surveillance activities before he hired Dr. Moore at Cedarville University in 2018.”

Additionally, Mr Enochs stated:

“I spoke to Dr. White yesterday and he told me he did not know the full extent of Dr. Moore’s unwarranted surveillance of another individual when Moore was a pastor at the Village Church in Fort Worth.”

I don’t fault Mr. Enochs for taking his friend, Thomas White, at his word; he has known White for a long time and known him to be honest. But I would submit that at times when we are emotionally involved in a situation it’s hard to objectively analyze what is shared by a close friend. Below are three points for consideration:

• A different source who has proven reliable told me that, “All Cedarville staff from bottom up, all who needed to know, were fully aware of what happened.” Additionally, my source said  TVC advised Cedarville staff that hiring Moore could potentially be putting others at risk.
• Thomas White’s statement must be evaluated in light of the fact that he is fighting to keep his job.
• Thomas White, in his statement of April 24, 2020 stated: “On April 22, 2020, I learned that I did not have all the information about the original incident. Instead of at most two videos, I heard there were at least five videos. Instead of this being over a short period of time, I heard that these were taken over a period of at least five months.” Whether White knew of two videos or five videos is irrelevant. In closing there seems to be within Christianity grace shown and a job waiting for member of the good ole boy’s club who has sinned. However, no such grace or job is waiting for the person not a member.

This type of Christianity has infected way too many organized Christian organizations from schools, mission organizations, church conventions and fellowships. Nevertheless someday true born-again believers ‘…must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad’ 2 Corinthians 5:10.

Cedarville University, Cedarville, OH ‘…has terminated a theology professor in light of new information that has emerged about his past related to sexual abuse.

Cedarville University fired Anthony Moore last week on sexual misconduct grounds, a move which comes approximately three years after the Baptist liberal arts college in western Ohio learned that Moore had secretly filmed a male youth pastor showering at Moore’s home on several occasions, according to independent investigative journalist Julie Roys.

The firing, however, came about when the university found out about Moore’s previous abuse while a pastor at The Village Church in Fort Worth, Texas.

Cedarville University President Thomas White told Roys that Moore had been hired in 2017 on a probationary basis and joined the university faculty concurrent with a five-year “restoration” plan. Yet upon discovery that the filming took place over the course of several months and was not limited to a shorter period of struggle, Moore was let go.

“My understanding of what happened was it was not a habitual issue,” White told Roys. “It was a struggle that arose from previous abuse and curiosity and then it was repented for.”

The Cedarville University president reportedly spoke with the victim last week and confirmed that it had taken place over many months.

Moore had been fired in 2017 from The Village Church in Fort Worth for what Lead Pastor Matt Chandler referred to as a “sin issue” and “grievous immoral actions against another adult member that disqualify him as an elder and staff member.”

Roys obtained a report that the youth pastor who was filmed had filed a complaint with the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office in October 2018, alleging that Moore had videotaped his youth pastor multiple times. But the youth pastor never pressed charges.

The youth pastor discovered he was being secretly filmed in January 2017 when he found a phone belonging to Moore wrapped in a towel with the lens sticking out sitting in a window well above the shower in Moore’s home. The youth pastor searched the phone and discovered four other similar videos which he then forwarded to his own phone.

Moore reportedly confessed to the filming in 2015, but according to the pastor who was filmed it was part of a larger pattern of relational abuse and toxic co-dependency.

“The way manipulators work in uncertainty and confusion just develops a deep fog,” the youth pastor told Roys in an interview, explaining why he is now speaking out.

“And it’s not until you’re removed from the fog that you can see.”

White apologized in a Monday video statement for bringing Moore to the school.

“I’m sorry that I brought Anthony Moore to Cedarville University. I did not know all the information at first. When we learned the new information, we took the action needed. Dr. Moore violated our agreement. There are no other plans for restoration like this on campus,” he said.

“Even though no incidents were reported by students, I’m recommending to the board of trustees that we hire an outside, independent agency to confirm that nothing inappropriate occurred on our campus, with that report to go directly back to the board of trustees.”

White also promised that during the summer he and other key leaders would go through victim prevention awareness and advocacy training.

How in the world did this even get to this place? A man who secretly films another man in the shower many times over is accepted as a professor of theology? Something doesn’t smell right in all this!

May one discern another person’s character by the language they use? This includes actors as well! My question is; who would pay to watch and hear people on television use coarse, rude, crude, anti-Christ, anti-God, despicable, low life, gutter talk?

Fortunately, FX isn’t available here in Australia; yet. Hopefully, the debauchery shown in the USA will stay there as FX has a programme called ‘Breeders’. Now, the ‘Urban Dictionary defines the term “breeders” as when people think “the sun rises and sets for their child/ren… and are in general very selfish and greedy.” The site also suggests “breeders” is a derisive term used to describe heterosexual couples who “use their parenthood status or their children as an excuse to get their way.” The definition might also wish to include inappropriate, as the titular unmarried parents, Paul (Martin Freeman) and Ally (Daisy Haggard), of FX’s latest crude, lewd, and offensive show Breeders curse, constantly.

“F…” is a word which comes out of Paul and Ally’s mouths quite often. It’s uttered 65 times in the show’s twofer premiere episodes. There’s also “prick” heard three times and the c-word three times, quite often in the presence of their children, Luke (George Wakeman) and Ava (Jayda Eyles). This type of show and the language used shows the true character of the Walt Disney company and the actors. Sadly, the writers of this trash get paid for such garbage?

It is said a person is what they eat. Well, if that is true of the physical food we consume what kind of person (and society) will come from consuming  this visual and audible refuse?

If you are fifty or above it is probably safe to say most people you have known have  accepted the biological fact they are either male or female. Well, not so today.

Australian ‘Federal Health Minister Greg Hunt has capitulated to the demands of transgender activists and refused to call an inquiry into experimental gender treatments on children.

“It is important we have a nationally consistent standard of care that is evidence-based and with appropriate safeguards to protect the interests of the patient,” a spokesman for Mr Hunt told The Sunday Age.

Without evidence, the spokesman went on to claim that “in recognition of the risks of further harm to young people, the government does not intend to establish a national inquiry on this matter.”

The reality is that a national inquiry will not do harm to young people confused about their gender.  The real harm that is taking place is the risky gender medical treatments on children which have life-changing consequences.

In recent years there has been an explosion in the number of teenagers being treated for gender dysphoria.

Research has found that most children who are confused about their gender accept their bodies at later stages of development.

There is also a growing movement of former “transgender” individuals who are “reverting” to living as their biological gender, known as “detransitioners”.

Highlighting the experimental nature of gender treatments on children, The Sunday Age reported Mr Hunt’s spokesman as saying that the government is considering funding research on the long-term outcomes for young people with gender dysphoria.

The protein spikes form the “crown”, and are what enables the virus to attach to, and then enter the cells in an animal or human body. The creature successfully invaded is known as the host.’

So, ‘Why did God make viruses?

The original function of viruses is rather a mystery, but let’s look at viruses from a Biblical worldview, i.e. an original very good creation. On this basis we can be sure that viruses were not originally created to kill people or animals since there was no death, disease or violence in people or animals. People and animals ate plants, and there was no struggle to survive. Therefore, no-one could have contracted any virus disease through eating animals, or having a violent encounter with an animal.

Many viruses we have found do not make people or other living things ill. We carry them around on our internal body surfaces, along with myriads of other microbes (bacteria, etc).  This indicates they must have a function, or have had a function in the past that didn’t involve making people ill. Even the current coronavirus has been found in people who are not ill, as revealed when mass testing has been carried out.  Therefore, it is possible the coronavirus virus has already existed harmlessly in animals or even people but no-one knew about it.

This leads us to an important point – unless viruses are causing problems we don’t hear about them because researchers are not even looking for them.  When things are working quietly in the background, or sitting passively not giving anyone any grief, no news media is going to report it as no-one would consider it to be news, and scientists are not motivated to study them.  The current lack of knowledge about any original good functions of viruses is due to lack of interest in research, and lack of grant money for research.  You don’t find out things you are not looking for, and if you believe that viruses evolved to reproduce themselves and spread by making people sick, you concentrate on that aspect of their existence. The same situation existed to give bacteria a bad name in the 1800’s but 150 years later we know that most of them are not only useful, but really helpful. We predict, based on the goodness of Christ’s original creation, the same will happen to viruses, as they are elevated to perhaps useful micro-messengers needed by all cells and environments. This is where Biblical biology can form a useful basis for scientific research.

Now back to the next step of Biblical history.  Following Adam’s sin the creation degenerated into a mix of good and bad, which means we can be equally sure that degenerative processes in living things also happened to viruses, as well as in people’s behaviour, and these are the root cause of any bad interaction between viruses and people that results in disease.

One result of having ‘tolerant’ people who can carry the virus without being harmed is that they can pass it on to vulnerable people who do become ill, which brings us to another degeneration – our human immune system. One function of the immune system is to keep the microbes we live with in their place. In the beginning this process worked efficiently, so any viruses in the wrong place would be eliminated. Since then, our immune systems, like all other body functions have degenerated.

The other thing that has degenerated, and therefore caused disease, is human behaviour. Simple hygienic practices such as washing, cleaning clothes and household surfaces, safe preparation and storage of food, etc. will keep a lot of disease-causing microbes at bay. The really big revolutions in improving the health of overall populations are the provision of good infrastructure, such as clean water supplies, effective sewerage, drainage and rubbish removal/recycling, and avoiding overcrowding and pollution. The reasons these are not provided in many places are human ignorance, oppression, wars and greed.

Therefore, let us not blame God for the current outbreak of disease, when it is much more accurate to blame people’s unclean habits. Even though He has allowed it to happen, and in a sovereign way He will use it to His glory in the same way He has allowed other “natural disasters” happen in the world ever since man rebelled against his Creator, back in the Garden of Eden. One purpose being to allow man time and opportunity to realise we are not God, and we do need a Saviour. God did not lose control of the world after man sinned, and He hasn’t lost control now.
