Would the media lie to us? ‘During the Texas blackout corporate media outlets couldn’t publish their fictional stories fast enough. “Wind and solar were not the problem!” declared the New York Times, USA Today, ABC News, the Associated Press, NPR, and countless others. The media outlets that shamelessly shill for a renewable energy nirvana can always be counted on to misinform.
The media proclaimed that wind and solar weren’t the problem because these unreliable sources aren’t expected to produce much power during winter months in the first place. That’s a small truth wrapped in a big fat lie. From February 8 to the 16th electricity output from wind was down 93 percent. On the two most critical days of the freeze, the 15th and 16th, wind power was almost non-existent. However, it is true this pitiful performance was not a major factor in the outages. That bit of truth created a window for deception.
According to our corporate media, the blackouts were caused by failures in natural gas, coal, and nuclear generation. Again, a tiny truth wrapped in a whopper of a lie. Yes, there were frozen pipes and a number of other glitches. However, the frozen pipe problem was largely caused by Ercot, the company that runs the grid. As Ercot cut power to protect the grid from damage, it cut off electricity to natural gas production and processing units. With no power to pressurize the pipes, they froze. This was a management failure, not a problem with natural gas-fired power. In spite of Ercot’s mismanagement of the system, natural gas delivered 450 percent more power from the 8th to the 16th. Yes, 450 percent more. And, this happened even as natural gas providers were delivering a record amount of gas to residents for home heating.
I could go on and on about grid mismanagement before and during the crisis. For example, Ercot allowed some coal and natural gas generators to go offline for maintenance even as weather forecasters were warning about the historic dimension of the big freeze. But talking about these issues distracts us from the giant problems that have been building up in Texas for more than 15 years.
What wind and solar advocates in the mainstream press ignore (or probably don’t even know) is that the electric grid demands a high level of consistency. It operates within a narrow margin at 60 hertz. If power is even .5 percent above or below 60 Hz the grid begins to fail. Wind and solar are wildly erratic. The large swings in power output test grid operators ability to maintain this small operating space. Dealing with the inconsistent nature of wind and solar is a manageable problem when they provide a small percentage of the power supply. But Texas has increased its wind generation from 2.9 percent in 2007 to 25 percent today. Solar went from next to nothing to 2.38 percent. That’s an enormous amount of unreliability for a grid that demands precision.
The only way to manage this problem is to maintain a large reserve margin of power that can be called upon at a moment’s notice. When electricity from wind and solar drop quickly as they regularly do, reserve power from natural gas fills the gap. A healthy reserve margin is 15 percent. But with wind claiming such a large percentage of generation in Texas, a larger margin (i.e. 25 percent) would be prudent. The reserve margin in Texas is only about 7.5 percent.
Setting mismanagement aside, this is the key problem with the Texas grid. There’s too much erratic wind and solar and not nearly enough reliable baseload power from coal, nuclear, and natural gas. The reserve margin should be at least doubled and probably tripled to accommodate unreliable wind and solar that are already part of the system. Understanding this reality takes some research and deeper thinking, but our corporate media are either not interested or are incapable of learning about the technical aspects of how the electrical grid functions.
True journalism is hard to find these days. What could be more important to the function of our modern world than electricity? And yet, corporate media are more interested in telling small truths wrapped in giant lies. The consequences be damned.’ https://papundits.wordpress.com/2021/03/14/media-blacks-out-truth-in-texas/
While appearing on Charlie Kirk’s podcast, Lindell revealed his plans to start a new social media website, who told Kirk, “We’re launching this big platform so all the voices of our country can come back and start telling it like it is again.”
“You will not need YouTube,” said Lindell. “You won’t need these places. So it will be where everything can be told, because we’ve got to get our voices back.” Lindell added that the website will be pro-free speech, adding, “People will be able to talk and not walk on eggshells.”
Lindell seems to have hinted that the website will incorporate both live and recorded video, text posts, and other features commonly associated with Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube, the big three social media sites that, until recently, have dominated the market without real competition.
“Every single influencer person on the planet can come there. You’re going to have a platform to speak out,” said the MyPillow CEO, then adding, “It’s not just like a little Twitter platform.”’https://nationalfile.com/mypillow-guy-mike-lindell-is-starting-his-own-social-media-site/

I must not be controversial enough as I haven’t really been cancelled that much! Anyway, I do try! Well, considering being cancelled ‘In the early days of cancel culture (c. 2016-2018) it was wise to oppose it, but few did. Now we’re well past the point of no return. The tide is coming in, and only a fool would dare to oppose it.
During the early days, “build your own” was a meme, but there were a few who did it. Like proverbial little Noahs building arks while people laughed. Now you’ve got a messaging service in Telegram and a social network in Gab that don’t rely on advertising, trafficking in metadata, or the whims multinational corporations. Gab founder Andrew Torba is a vocal and unapologetic Christian. Who would have thought a few years ago that we’d have a viable social media platform used by tens of millions where Christianity can exist uncensored? Only cancel culture made that possible.
If anyone should be able to convince you that cancel culture is good, it should be Chris Trotter. He mourned the cancellation of Sean Plunket, because he fears that inevitably a gap in the market will be filled by a “Fox News” type of organisation. One not beholden to the advertising dollars of progressive corporate agendas.
If that’s the case, I want Peter Williams and Mike Hosking cancelled tomorrow, and anyone else not 100% in line with progressive orthodoxy. Cancel them all. Cancel everyone. Cancel them now.
Even today’s cancellation of a famous actress was a plus, because anyone not 110% evil needs to be out of Hollywood, yesterday. #CancelDisneyPlus? Why have you been sending money to the enemy? Stop it. Cancel it, all of it.
Got banned from Facebook or Twitter? Great. Welcome to Telegram and Gab. Or right here on Right Minds (or The BFD if you’re reading there). Why do I write on my own website? Here I can say what I want without having my content beholden so those who hate me and everything I stand for.
Of course, there is a problem that corporations can ban you from life. An “unpersoning” where your bank account no longer works. Where a host of apps block you from participating in parts of modern convenience. Your business can get cancelled because you refused to bake the cake. Still, those people survive because they have family, friends, church, and community who rally around them. They learn and adapt. Only the ones who stand alone don’t get back up.
Banking problems can be solved by cryptocurrency. Entertainment problems can be solved by new endeavours. Deplatforming can be solved by moving to our own platforms. It requires some sacrifice at first, but once you start to leave, it won’t be long before you’ll be glad you did. The detox is the hardest.
Build your own… country? A parallel society isn’t out of the question. Anything is possible.
Yeah, they might eventually throw you into camps and gulags, but for now they’re sticking to digitally cancelling you for pointing out their endgame. Even then, a system of death camps and gulags must eventually collapse, so is the way of the world.
For now, as the waves of cancel culture rise, don’t sink. Get on the ark and let the old world drown in its own degeneracy.’https://www.rightminds.nz/articles/cancel-culture-is-a-necessary-good
Who’s right and who’s wrong? Is there a time one should ‘dox’ another person publically? Well, ‘Phil Johnson, the director of John MacArthur’s broadcast ministry, Grace to You, doxed me yesterday in a document he posted online. When confronted, Johnson defended what he did.
To dox someone is to publish private or identifying information about that person, especially as a form of punishment or revenge. Doxing is illegal in California and punishable up to one year in jail or a fine of $1,000.
In my case, Johnson published my home address. This was in response to an article I posted this week about the salaries, secrecy, and lifestyle of Johnson’s boss, John MacArthur. My article also noted that Grace to You (GTY) paid Johnson a $230K+ salary and a sizeable loan, which was fully forgiven.
Johnson included my address in a letter he posted online and then linked to in a tweet. After I confronted Johnson publicly for what he had done, he blurred the address in the online letter, which still includes my city and zip code. Johnson did not comment about what he had done, but instead defended publishing my address in a tweet.’ For the Tweets and more go to https://julieroys.com/director-of-john-macarthurs-broadcast-ministry-doxes-julie-roys-defends-it/?mc_cid=493c535f0f&mc_eid=b13d34ad49
Ann Corcoran makes the point of moving to those social media sights that still allow the conservative free speech. Here are her thoughts.
‘As I am sure you are all painfully aware, conservative voices are being silenced. BIG Tech and BIG government have colluded to make it very hard for us to communicate and disseminate news. I expect it to get even harder!
And, if you are like me— OLD!—it is a challenge to break long held habits and learn new tricks.
But, before I get to that, let me mention again that right now you can follow at least three (but there are many more) websites/blogs to fill you in on breaking news throughout the day. Gateway Pundit, Conservative Tree House, and Just the News.
(Sorry if I am missing some of your favorites.)
You don’t need me to repeat what they are reporting.
For immigration news I check the news aggregator Borderhawk News that is linked in my sidebar.
So what am I doing to distance myself from BIG TECH that is working with the Socialists to change America?
First, I am dumping Google from my life. It will take time. But, know that in a few days, I will no longer be using gmail that is linked in my sidebar at both of my blogs.
And, I have gone to Brave for all of my browsing needs. Be prepared for some additional work as you may have to make changes to passwords and get notices from say your credit card company wondering if someone other than you is accessing your account.
You can read about Brave here at The Federalist:
You will then most likely look to Duck Duck Go for your searches.
The Federalist also published a useful piece about the right-wing witch hunt which I will get to in a minute, but which contains this bit of information on changes you should be making.
Modify Your Online Presence. One of the most important steps you can take is to modify your online presence by jumping out of Google, Facebook, and iChat and into technologies that are less intrusive. Here are a few to use:
These are all examples of ways that you can search and communicate on the internet without having intrusive data collectors follow you around the whole time!
I don’t know Element and am staying on Facebook as long as I am able to reach the thousands I am reaching now with my Refugee Resettlement facebook page. Or, LOL! Until they dump me. I will eventually move to MeWe.
As I reported Twitter has blocked me from reaching my account there and I refuse to give Google any more information. Why stay at Twitter as they work to diminish your reach. I am on Gab (@Refugeewatcher), but not super active and don’t have many followers yet.
Now to that Federalist article yesterday, the one with the tips above by Dan Carpenter (hat tip: Scott). Readers may remember I discussed prepping last summer, see here reposted in December.
Who knew there were so many Americans of all stripes who don’t think it is a joke to be ready to take care of themselves and their loved ones.
And, God forbid, we don’t want the government coming for our toilet paper trove as Biden forbids the destruction of trees ….’https://fraudscrookscriminals.com/2021/01/28/making-the-moves-time-to-get-your-communication-house-in-order/
I believe Word Press is doing whatever to keep traffic from coming to Whatyareckon. Please tell your friends and enemies to visit and especially the friends to even follow. The Left are everywhere and if they can stop the truth from being told they stop the truth from being heard. Thanks.
Proverbs 14:34 Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people says this but who in Washington D.C cares?
Sleepy Basement Joe and his ‘…administration has already made some changes to the White House’s online contact method. The form gives users the possibility to list their preferred pronouns, with possible responses including “she/her,” “he/him,” “they/them,” “other,” and “prefer not to share.” The website also offers extended options of user prefixes, with “Mx.,” “other (please specify),” and “none” listed alongside the more conventional “Mr.,” “Ms.,” “Mrs.,” and “Dr.”
The alteration was praised by the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation, which said that the move symbolizes a step toward inclusivity.
“On Day One, the Biden administration has taken immediate steps to include trans, nonbinary, and gender nonconforming people in the conversation,” said GLAAD President and CEO Sarah Kate Ellis.’https://www.blabber.buzz/blab/pop/1023706-white-house-turns-progressive-with-the-flick-of-a-switch-now-all-of-the-genders-represented?utm_source=c-alrt&utm_medium=c-alrt-email&utm_term=c-alrt-Yahoo&utm_content=1Gfc7nxc8DgkoxAovhbZkA2PhnVZg
Why do we wonder why America and the West are going through these tumultuous times when stupid sinful decisions like this are made at the top that will impact society for generations to come? These people will certainly have a lot to answer for at the Great White Throne!
How far will these political sociopaths be able to go before the next election? Of course does it really matter how far they go against conservatives and conservative Christians if they are allowed to cheat again as they did in 2020? Well, the old CIA and FBI are as rat infested as any organization can be. Not many if any true red blooded American would want their name associated with either group today. Now, this article is about the BIG RAT ‘Disgraced former CIA Director John Brennan is promising a Big Brother crackdown against Trump supporters throughout society following the successful installation of the Biden regime by the deep state.
Brennan made the psychopathic, authoritarian declaration during an appearance on MSNBC.
“This is the most relaxed I’ve been in the course of the many inaugurations I’ve watched,” Brennan said, reveling in the fact that he got away with all of his crimes without repercussions.
“I know looking forward that the members of the Biden team who have been nominated or have been appointed are now moving in laser-like fashion to try to uncover as much as they can about what looks very similar to insurgency movements that we have seen overseas,” he said.
Brennan is laying the groundwork to treat President Trump’s supporters like ISIS militants, which Democrat officials have been openly pining for many years to accomplish. He named “religious extremists, authoritarians, fascists, bigots, racists, nativists, and even libertarians” as the type of groups that will be targeted, profiled and ultimately deprived of their 1st Amendment rights during the Biden administration.
“I really do think that the law enforcement, Homeland Security, intelligence, and even defense officials are doing everything possible to root out what seems to be a very, very serious and insidious threat to our democracy and our republic,” he said.’https://thepatriotwatchdog.com/just-in-biden-white-house-will-use-homeland-security-to-crush-trump-insurgency/
