‘A Church of England general synod member, who has receivedΒ death threatsΒ for speaking against Queer Theory and LGBT pride events, has now been βrebukedβ by the Archbishops of Canterbury and York for challenging βsame-sex blessingsβ.
Sam Margrave, a lay member of general synod, has received a formal letter from Justin Welby, the Archbishop of Canterbury, and the Archbishop of York, Stephen Cottrell, telling him to apologise for his twitter activity βover the last few weeks.β
The letter makes no mention of Mr Margrave receiving relentless online abuse, often from clergy, and being forced to install CCTV at his home over fears for his safety for communicating the CofEβs own teaching on human sexuality.
In recent weeks, the Archbishop of Canterbury reportedly asked LGBT activist, Jayne Ozanne, for a list of names of people who allegedly βpreach messages that harm LGBT peopleβ so he could βdeal withβ the issue.
Following commitments in his manifesto that saw Mr Margrave receive the most votes in his diocese for election to synod, Mr Margrave has repeatedly challenged the influence of Queer Theory and the sexualisation of children within the church.
Last week it was revealed, however, that the Diocese of Coventry, led by the Bishop of Coventry, Christopher Cocksworth, had capitulated to pressure from LGBT campaigners and resorted to reporting Mr Margraveβs Twitter activity to the police for alleged βhate crimeβ.
Today, the Church of Englandβs general synod begins against a fierce backdrop of division over proposed changes to the churchβs doctrine on marriage and the proposed introduction of βsame-sex blessingsβ.
Last year when Mr Margrave attended general synod, he had to have protection and a panic alarm set on his phone due to the level of threat to his safety.
Responding to the letter from the Archbishops, Mr Margrave has refused to apologise. He said: βThe Archbishops of Canterbury and York make no reference in their letter to the constant abuse and death threats I have received for speaking biblical truth and for standing for the Church of Englandβs own teaching on human sexuality. Due to the level of threats I have received, I have had to install CCTV at my house and a panic alarm on my phone.
βI am being thrown under the bus, excluded, and treated like a leper in the name of inclusivity. The Archbishops of Canterbury and York are holding tight to their copy of Marx while leaving the Bible on a bookshelf.
βI will not apologise for speaking the truth. I do not believe I have done anything wrong. I have been honest, transparent and faithful.
βThis letter is a thinly veiled and bullying threat for me to be silent or be removed from synod. I feel incredibly let down as serious accusations have been made without providing any evidence. This is a clear example of overreach from the very top of the Church of Englandβs hierarchy.
βAny conservative orthodox Christian beliefs are being pushed out of the Church of England. If it is me now, who will it be next? I am taking this stand because I do not want anyone else to be treated as I have.
βI believe the CofE has been politically infiltrated by Stonewall and others. The promotion of Queer Theory, the acceptance of Pride flags, and now reporting any vocal opposition to the police, bares all the hallmarks of Stonewall and a repressive regime that wants to silence biblical truth at any cost.
βI donβt hate anyone, this is not about hate, it has always been about truth and bringing positive change to the CofE.

‘Andy Stanley, a pastor widely discredited by orthodox, Bible-believing Christians as a false teacher, has ignited a raging controversy with his latest remarks on homosexuality and faith. Stanleyβs βseeker-sensitiveβ approach prioritizes attracting non-believers to church over upholding traditional doctrine, diluting the essence of Christianity to appease a wider audience. This has drawn fierce criticism from those who see Stanleyβs views as a deviation from the true teachings of Christianity.
In a recent sermon, Stanley proclaimed that homosexuals who βloved Jesusβ despite Godβs rejection of them have more faith than most Christians and that Christians should learn from them. This asinine assertion, along with Stanleyβs disregard for traditional teachings and the authority of the Bible, is a blatant display of his apostasy.
Stanleyβs views and approach to ministry have rightfully faced heavy criticism as he is merely promoting his personal aberrant beliefs as gospel. Meanwhile, some homosexuals have praised Stanley for his innovative views on biblical interpretation, theology, and the role of the church, perceiving his approach as more βinclusive.β
However, beneath the surface of the controversy lies a more sinister issue at Stanleyβs North Point Church. Not only does Stanley take a lenient, unscriptural approach to sin, but it has recently come to light that he employs an openly lesbian individual who leads the churchβs LGBTQ ministry. But now, it has come to light that Stanley has been openly promoting open and active homosexual lifestyles within his church and he has been doing so through some very sinister people. Andy Stanley is repeatedly hosting an openly practicing homosexual who is openly living with his homosexual partner. His name is Brian Nietzel.
Brian Nietzel, according to his own biography found on his website, is living in Atlanta with his βpartner Dan.β A look at photos on Nietzelβs Facebook page confirmed that he is still openly and actively in a homosexual relationship.


These homosexuals, as you can see from the image above, were βmarriedβ in 2021 with the wedding being performed by Amy Hayes, a former staff member for Charles Stanleyβs In Touch Ministries.
Brian is the founder of Renovusβwhich weβve written about in several previous articlesβa ministry dedicated to advancing queer theology and homosexual affirmation within the Church. According toΒ Brianβs website, he says he has known two things all of his life: βJesus is my hero,β and βAnd Iβm gay.β Brian says that for much of his life faith and sexuality were divided, but that βthrough a season of new conversations with God, I came out knowing my peace as a gay Christian man.β
