‘Some young children had serious fevers after receiving a medium-sized dose of Pfizer’s mRNA Covid vaccine, a Pfizer clinical trial found.
Fevers in kids 2-5 who received 10 micrograms of mRNA were both more common and more severe than those in other children tested with the vaccine, the company found. The side effect occurred after both the first and second vaccine dose.
The company revealed the problems to investors and analysts in mid-December as it disclosed its struggles to produce a Covid vaccine for younger children.
Pfizer ultimately did not move forward with a 10-microgram two-dose regimen for children aged 2 to 5. Instead it is testing a much smaller dose – 3 micrograms – which it had originally intended for kids under 2. That dose did not cause the same problems in early trials.
Pfizer’s larger clinical trial in children under 5 is ongoing. Regulators have not yet authorized Covid vaccines – at any dose – for kids that age.
But they have okayed the vaccine for children from 5 to 12 – at the same 10-microgram level that caused fevers in the clinical trial of younger kids.
The vaccine dosing is not adjusted by weight. All five-year-olds receive the full 10-microgram dose, even if they are no bigger than a typical three or four-year-old.
Pfizer has not published any safety or efficacy data for its vaccine in children under 5 in a peer-reviewed journal, but it did provide a glimpse of the results to investors and analysts on Dec. 17. The data are contained in a single slide in the 79-page presentation.

But Pfizer’s hopes for its 3-microgram dose in younger children also appear to be fading.
In the standard two-dose regimen, that dose has proven so ineffective in children 2-5 that the company has now modified its clinical trial to add a third 3 microgram dose.
In adolescents and adults, the Pfizer vaccine dose contains 30 micrograms of mRNA in each shot – three times the dose for kids 5-12 and 10 times the amount that Pfizer is now testing on younger kids. (One million micrograms equal one gram, so the vaccine contains only a tiny amount of material, but it is incredibly biologically potent.)
The company’s struggles with dosing kids under five are part of a bigger issue around vaccinating children.
Pfizer is walking a tightrope as it tries to convince reluctant parents to vaccinate their kids for an illness that is barely a cold for most healthy children.
Despite relentless advertising campaigns and scare stories about children being hospitalized for Covid (stories that frequently reveal about halfway down that the kids were hospitalized for other problems and had incidental Covid diagnoses), only about 1 in 5 American kids 5-12 has received a Covid vaccine.

When the government tells pastors what they can and cannot preach there is no stopping what the government will do! Thankfully, ‘Pastor and theologian John MacArthur of Grace Community Church in Los Angeles is calling on pastors to preach about the “biblical view of sexual morality” on Jan. 16 in opposition to a Canadian law banning therapy for unwanted sexual attractions and gender confusion — what is often derisively referred to as conversion therapy — set to take effect next month.
MacArthur, known for his syndicated broadcast program “Grace to You,” published an open letter on the Grace Community Church website Tuesday calling on “ministers of the Gospel” to join him on the third Sunday of the new year in preaching about “a biblical view of sexual morality.”
MacArthur stated that he received a letter from Pastor James Coates of GraceLife Church in Edmonton, Alberta, a graduate of the MacArthur-led The Master’s Seminary who made headlines when he was imprisoned for hosting in-person services in defiance of government lockdown orders.
Coates alleged that Bill C-4, which passed by the Canadian House and Senate earlier this month, “directly comes against parents and counselors who would seek to offer biblical counsel with respect to sexual immorality and gender.”
The law amends the criminal code to make illegal so-called conversion therapy, removing a child from Canada to undergo conversion therapy, advertising or promoting conversion therapy and receiving a material benefit for providing conversion therapy.
Specifically, the law slated to go into effect on Jan. 8 describes the belief that “heterosexuality, cisgender gender identity, and gender expression that conforms to the sex assigned to a person at birth are to be preferred over other sexual orientations, gender identities and gender expressions” as a “myth.”
Critics describe conversion therapy as counseling or efforts to change a person’s sexual orientation or gender identity through religious-based counseling or more controversial treatments like electric shock therapy.
However, some counselors and Christian ministries have warned that their counseling for people experiencing unwanted same-sex attraction is misunderstood and that “conversion therapy” is a politically charged term designed to mislead the public about the work they do.
Critics of such bills contend that the propagation of the narrative of conversion therapy being similar to electric shock therapy has become a “straw man” to promote “one-sided and biased counseling methods,” considering those types of treatments are already considered in the medical world to be “barbaric and unethical.”
C-4’s opponents claim that the language is too broad and could essentially ban religious leaders from preaching the teachings on sexual ethics and marriage found in the Bible or counseling a person with unwanted attractions or saying that homosexuality is sinful.
Andrew DeBartolo, the teaching elder at Encounter Church in Kingston, Ontario, told MacArthur in a letter that “the belief in God’s design for marriage and sexuality will now be seen as a myth” beginning on Jan. 8.
“Since this law takes effect on January 8, 2022, faithful Canadian pastors are going to preach on the issue, calling for a biblical understanding of sexual sin, the eternal judgment that falls on the unrepentant and gospel-rejecting sinners, and the grace of God in the gospel which offers forgiveness to those who repent and believe in Christ,” MacArthur wrote. “In 1 Corinthians 6:9–11, Paul clearly articulates why we must speak the truth.”
“Our calling as gospel ministers is to preach the truth, confront sin, and call all men to repentance and obedience to the gospel—the good news that achieves soul conversion and saves sinners from eternal wrath,” he added.
Several states in the U.S. have passed bans on conversion therapy, including MacArthur’s home state of California. MacArthur claims the California government “sought to prohibit any correction of an unbiblical view of sexual identity.”
A Christian therapist filed a lawsuit earlier this year in Washington state, alleging that the state’s 2018 ban on conversion therapy was a political attempt to silence dissent and “impose its own new orthodoxy concerning sexual morality.” However, his claim was rejected by a federal judge in September.
In 2019, a federal judge dismissed an ex-gay psychotherapists lawsuit against Maryland’s ban on mental health professionals providing conversion therapy.
As the United Kingdom Parliament has renewed efforts to pass a conversion therapy ban, concern was raised by the Evangelical Alliance that clergy might potentially face criminal prosecution. Plants have a similar problem. The rapidly changing incidence of sunlight on their leaves could, conceivably, cause problems within the plant. However, researchers have discovered that plants have mechanisms to cope with these variations, and one such mechanism could answer the old question: “Why are plants green?”
Plants produce high energy carbohydrate molecules from water vapor and carbon dioxide by the well-known process of photosynthesis. This endothermic reaction requires the input of energy in the form of light, and the reaction is catalyzed by the green dye chlorophyll. What many of us have not considered is why chlorophyll is green.
White light is a mixture of all three primary colors – red, green and blue – which have increasing frequency and, hence, increasing energy, in that order. The remarkable thing about plants, therefore, is that they are absorbing light energy only at either end of the visible spectrum while rejecting – and reflecting – the middle of the spectrum, which is green. ‘Only approved journalism, thank you! That appears to be Twitter’s logic behind suspending Just the News founder John Solomon for 12 hours. Solomon bashed the censorship as “outrageous and unfair.”
Just the News released a report Dec. 28 noting that Solomon was suspended from the leftist Big Tech platform “for sharing an article about the legal distinctions between Pfizer’s fully approved and emergency use authorization (EUA) COVID-19 vaccines.” The distinction “could affect the legality of vaccine mandates.” Twitter slapped the article Solomon attempted to share with a “Warning: this link may be unsafe” label and propagandized that it “could lead to real-world harm.”
Perhaps Twitter likes vaccine mandates? “An immunologist who reviewed the article told Just the News he saw nothing wrong with it factually,” according to the report. Twitter had reportedly “limited” Solomon’s account temporarily for 12 hours because his tweet supposedly violated “its policy on ‘spreading misleading and potentially harmful information’ related to COVID.”
Activity on Solomon’s account suggests that it had been restored. “It’s Twitter’s second known suspension of a JTN staffer’s account for comments about vaccines, which it lifted after the CDC confirmed the tweet was accurate,” according to Just the News. The link to the article Solomon tried to share, however, still has the warning label.
Here was the context behind the article that Twitter apparently didn’t like:
The report noted that Pfizer and several experts have claimed that the fully approved Comirnaty vaccine has the same ingredients and manufacturing process as the EUA vaccine, known as Pfizer-BioNTech. But it also cited the FDA’s acknowledgment that the two are ’legally distinct’ owing to more stringent requirements for the Comirnaty vaccine, whose biologics license application (BLA) was approved.
The report cited two medical experts who knocked Twitter for censoring Solomon: Stanford School of Medicine professor Jay Bhattacharya and Harvard Medical School epidemiologist Martin Kulldorff. “There is nothing in the story that is not well reported or misleading,” said Bhattacharya. “‘Twitter’s censorship of COVID information has contributed greatly to the collapse in trust in public health.’”
Kulldorff added, “It is scary to live in such censorship, which also lea[d]s to self censorship.”
Solomon also slammed Twitter for the censorship:
‘It is outrageous and unfair that a story that is completely accurate and points out an important legal distinction between the two versions of vaccines gets blocked and my account suspended.’

Is Twitter and these other social media outlets publishers or not?
“I am calling for a global code of conduct that promotes integrity in public information,” writes UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres.
This sounds noble since everyone wants integrity. However, in such a fractured world, you have to ask, whose “integrity” are we going to use as the standard?
Guterres further explains:
“The war on science must end. All policy and budget decisions should be backed by science and expertise.”
Is he talking about the “science” that gave us the theory of evolution, which gave us humanism, which gave us atheism, which led to the elimination of the Bible from our school systems?
Is he talking about the “experts” who tell us that atheistic socialism can be made to work even though it has a zero historical batting average? Or the “experts” who tell us that homosexuals are born that way? Or the “experts” that tell us that the Bible is just a book of old legends?
Everybody agrees that the world is broken. But they have tossed aside the operation manual and are scrambling around looking for “science” to repair it. Well did the apostle Paul warn us about “science falsely so called” in 1 Timothy 6:20-21: “O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called: which some professing have erred concerning the faith.”
We also have our share of “profane and vain babblings” that are most difficult to avoid these days. But those “babblings” are lies of Satan created to bring on the darkness of the last days that is prophesied in scripture. And the UN Big Brother wants to shut down every opportunity to get the truth out against those lies.
Jesus said that a darkness will come when no man can work, but we have enjoyed a few hundred years of broad daylight for the gospel. Nevertheless, the warning still stands as an urgent reminder to redouble our efforts to fulfill the Great Commission and go and preach the gospel while we still can.
