‘Sources tell us that Tennessee school teachers are being trained to use the preferred pronouns of students and that they must keep that knowledge hidden from parents in some cases.
Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 states that βNo person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.β
For 50 years the definition of sex meant biological sex. But the Biden Administration is proposing changes to Title IX that would make the definition of sex include sexual orientation and gender identity.
These changes will:
β Allow biological males to participate in girls-only sports and school activities.
β Make bathrooms, locker rooms, and overnight field trip housing available based solely on βgender identity,β not on someoneβs biological sex.
β Apply sexual harassment rules to students and teachers who βmisgenderβ another student or teacher. This means that if someone refers to someone by their biological sex (instead of their gender identity) or doesnβt use the personβs βpreferred pronouns,β they will be punished for sexual harassment.
β Encourage schools to hide a studentβs gender transition from their parents.
These proposed Title IX rules threaten free speech rights. By rewriting federal regulations, the Biden Education Department will punish teachers and students for exercising their right to free speech on campus.
Using the βwrongβ pronoun to refer to another student could land a child or teacher in hot water, facing a possible Title IX investigation and punishment. Sources confirm to us that at least one student in a Tennessee school last year has been on the receiving end of school discipline for not using a studentβs preferred pronouns.
The Defense of Freedom Institute has aΒ portalΒ where concerned parents and citizens can write to the Federal Department of Education about the proposed changes to Title IX.
Metro Nashville Public Schools (MNPS) has a policy that states it is a violation of personal rights for any student, teacher, administrator or other school district employee to violate the personal rights of others which includes βintimidation, harassment/hazing, physical force or threat of physical force against all personsβ¦ motivated either in whole or in part by hostility to their real or perceived race, ethnic background, religious belief, gender (including gender identity), age, disability or sexual orientationβ¦β
The Metro Nashville Board of Education passed a resolution last spring βaffirming the physical, mental, emotional support of all students, staff, parents and stakeholders regardless of gender identity, gender expression or sexual orientation.β
MNPS also teaches about gender identity in their Lifetime Wellness Course which includes Sexual Health Education.
‘According to sources, Chattanooga Moms for Social Justice in partnership with the Hamilton County Democratic Party advertised an event called Cookout the Vote which raised concerns that the organizations may be violating aΒ 2020 Tennessee codeΒ that prohibits bribing voters.Β
The event was scheduled for the evening of Thursday, July 28th, at Brainerd Recreational Center in Chattanooga, TN. The original post that was later deleted (but archived here) contained an image with the following text:
Early Vote and Get Dinner On Us!
Join the Chattanooga Moms for Social Justice and the Hamilton County Democratic Party to COOKOUT THE VOTE!
Bring your βI votedβ sticker (or just tell us you voted β weβll believe you!) and get a free hot dog and chips!
Citizens of Hamilton County who saw the post on social media wondered if it was legal to feed voters as a reward for voting and have reported it to the FBI. Lauren Topping, attorney for the Bureau of Ethics and Campaign Finance, was also contacted and confirmed that it was a criminal matter and that it needed to be reported to the local District Attorney.
Our sources confirm that an email was also sent to Secretary of State Tre Hargettβs office and he responded with the statues and advised concerned citizens to contact the FBI and the DA.
Chattanooga Moms for Social Justice, depending on their non-profit designation status, may engage in political campaigns (provided that such activities are not the organizationβs primary activity) or be banned from it completely. However, regardless of their non-profit status, they are still banned from bribing voters. Violating this prohibition may result in revocation of their tax-exempt status.
The Tennessee Conservative is awaiting confirmation of their non-profit designation status and will update as the information becomes available.
The group has several social media posts supporting Jill Black for school board in district 11 who is running as a Democrat.
A look at their Facebook page clearly shows their bias.
