The China virus is exactly what communism needed to destroy the freedoms in the West. That is definitely seen in this video from Canada.
‘Did the CBC sic the cops on a small business?
Moments after the CBC left Café Wisk in Calgary, Alberta, the police and a health inspector came to ticket the owner.
Jordan Castrillon, a veteran and the owner of Wisk, had put up signs saying that all café customers would be treated equally, whether they wore a mask or not. Coincidentally, or perhaps not so much, after the state broadcaster was done sneering at the owner, state law enforcement filled their place.
A ticket was issued to Castrillon for not wearing a mask in his bakery, despite him being legally exempt from doing so, and being completely alone at the time of the alleged offence.
Now, this is hard to believe or is it? ‘A Montreal police officer pulled over a woman heading to work at 4 a.m. Tuesday, demanding to search her lunch bag as he questioned why she was out before the provincial curfew lifted.
“I got my letter out of my glove compartment and he asked for my ID, I gave him that,” Sarah Vresk told CBC. “He then asked me what was in my bag.”
At that point, Vresk asked why it mattered he see her lunch bag when she showed him proof from her employer, a snow-removal contractor, that she needed to be out during curfew.
The officer threatened her with a ticket, saying the letter is just a piece of paper, and accused her of delaying detainment by being uncooperative and refusing to show him the bag.
Vresk finally acquiesced and the officer returned to his car to check her credentials while his partner continued the questioning. After the whole ordeal, Vresk drove away without a ticket.
A criminal defence lawyer in Montreal said a police intervention should end as soon as a person proves they need to be out during curfew. “It’s none of his business what’s in the bag,” Jeffrey Boro said.
Guns are not the problem; the heart is the problem! Matthew 15:19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies
‘Colorado Republican Congresswoman-elect Lauren Boebert plans to carry a gun with her while she works in the nation’s capital, citing Washington, D.C.’s violent crime danger.
A restaurant owner and staunch defender of the Second Amendment, Boebert plans to protect herself by providing her own security.
Even in a year with widespread pandemic-related shutdowns in the city, homicides have risen roughly 20% over 2019, and the violent crime rate is 158% higher than the national average, Boebert said in an interview on “Just the News AM.”
“I don’t go to work in an armored vehicle, I don’t have a police escort,” Boebert told show host Carrie Sheffield. “I am my security … I need a way to protect myself. We are grateful for our law enforcement officers, but I can’t count on them to be there every second of the day.”
Boebert says she has gone through the required concealed carry courses for D.C., has gone out shooting and is now awaiting the arrival of her permit, which she hopes to receive before she is sworn in on Jan. 3.
After the death of George Floyd, the riots and the call for defunding the police what sane person would desire to walk the beat in Minneapolis?! So it isn’t any real surprise that ‘Amid a sharp rise of violent crime incidents in the city of Minneapolis, council members held a meeting on Tuesday after Police Chief Medaria Arradondo plead for assistance from outside police forces to help with their shortage in staff.
“Resources are hemorrhaging. Our city is bleeding at this moment. I’m trying to do all I can to stop that bleeding,” Minneapolis Chief Arradondo said, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reported.
Minneapolis residents also urged city leaders to find a strategy to reduce violent crime incidents in the city as the statistics are showing the highest numbers in at least 15 years, with 74 people dead and about 500 wounded by gunfire in 2020.
The staff shortage in the force comes after dozens of officers have left the department. Officials voted to cut the department’s budget by $1 million earlier this year and also threatened to dismantle the entire force and replace it.
Minneapolis had 874 police officers before the city cut its budget. That number is now down to 834, with 121 on leave, police spokesman John Elder said, according to the Star Tribune.
“We’re barely able to cover the shifts that we have,” City Council Member Linea Palmisano said.
Following the police custody death of George Floyd in late May, city leaders pushed to defund and reform the force, but now the city’s violent crime reports are soaring. Besides gun violence, carjackings, aggravated assault, and other high-profile crimes all increased compared to last year’s figures.
In 2019, Minneapolis reported 48 homicides, that number has already increased to 74 so far this year, statistics not seen in over a decade, and it is continuing to rise.
Arradondo asked the city council to bring in between 20 and 40 Metro Transit Police and personnel from the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office, the Star Tribune reported.
The police chief requested a total of $500,000 in additional funds to enforce the department. His request was passed on Tuesday by the council with just a narrow margin.
Target must have not learned much from the Minneapolis riots. Rather than being sensible Target has gone completely WOKE! The looters that completely destroyed the South Minneapolis Target store ‘…is reopening, Bloomberg reported — but with a focus on serving the needs of black customers.
What are the details?
The interior of the store was overhauled, the outlet said, with the pharmacy moved to the front of the store so elderly customers can easily get their prescriptions and the grocery stocked with spices requested by the local community while the lighting for the crosswalk from the nearby rail station was upgraded, and the entrance was made more inviting with a new mural and plants.
Bloomberg noted that Target is a retailer long associated with white suburban shoppers — and executives said the overhaul is part of an effort to improve its image with black customers. Indeed, the outlet said the Minneapolis store drew shoppers from areas twice as black as a typical Target, according to cellphone data tracked by SafeGraph.
“By being based in Minneapolis — by being based in the eye of the storm of George Floyd — they had a huge responsibility to produce a pretty elaborate plan,” Anthony Thompson, a professor of clinical law and a founding faculty director of the Center on Race, Inequality and the Law at New York University, told Bloomberg of Target’s decision to raze and reconstruct the store.
More from the outlet:
It’s not exactly clear why this specific store was targeted; protesters originally headed there for milk to relieve the pain from being tear gassed. But in rebuilding, Target realized the surrounding neighborhood had never been asked point-blank whether the store that’s been there since 1976 was serving it well. It wasn’t.
The litany of complaints was long. And even though a remodel in 2018 fixed earlier perceptions the store was dirty, poorly stocked and a bit of an afterthought, some White residents in the Longfellow neighborhood would still drive to a different Target instead, derogatorily referring to the location — and its customers — as “Tar-ghetto.”
So the roughly $80 billion corporation did something it hadn’t before: met with Black residents, employees and community organizers (over Zoom; it’s 2020 after all) to ask what they wanted to see in the reconstructed store.
Target hired a contracting company owned by a Somali-American woman and built some of those neighborhood requests into its blueprints. It also added shutters to the store that can come down in case of future emergencies.
Bloomberg added that Target laid out the goals of its new racial justice committee in August, including the need to “create environments where Black guests feel overtly welcome,” which implied many didn’t.
I remember as a boy hearing about Russia where people had to have passes to travel within Russia. The China virus has created the same here in Australia with Victoria being one of the worse CCP strongholds.
‘Tony Pecora, who is one of the plaintiffs in our Supreme Court challenge on Monday, did not join the protest in Melbourne today.
Instead, Mr Pecora stood back with his child and filmed from afar. But that didn’t stop police from grabbing Tony for “not complying with the Chief Health Officer’s directives while on bail”.
Police refused to accept Tony’s medical exemption and detained him and his child for the alleged offence.
I was asked to take the child, but the police refused to allow it.
I have dealt with the murder (abortion) of the unborn many times on this blog so you know where I am on the issue. Is it not not sad that here in Australia the murder of the unborn is an everyday occurrence raising hardly if any opposition?! However, in the USA it is different! There more people are speaking out and with President Trump being the most pro-life President the USA has ever had the misnomer known as Planned Parenthood has been closing many of their murder factories.
Here is a video of David Benham being arrest for protesting outside a murder factory.
‘Conservative, pro-life activist David Benham was arrested outside an abortion clinic over the weekend for allegedly violating state and federal coronavirus guidelines.
Prior to his arrest, Benham, who gained notoriety when he and his brother were slated to host an HGTV show that was ultimately cancelled due to their Christian faith, was praying and offering sidewalk counseling outside a North Carolina facility, according to the Daily Caller.
North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper (D) issued a stay-at-home order on March 27 until April 29, barring gatherings of more than 10 people and ordering state residents to stay at home except for essential businesses or outings, like to get groceries, seek medical care, or exercise.
Benham claimed he and four others were at the clinic representing his Cities4Life nonprofit. He also had with him a mobile ultrasound unit attended by two people.
“The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said there was a cluster, that there were 50 protesters,” he recalled. “And of course, none of that is true.”
In a video he posted online, Benham told police officers he and his fellow volunteers “are within our rights to be here,” noting there were more than 10 people working inside the clinic at the time they were arrested.
“We are practicing social distancing, we have cleaned our hands,” he told the cop. “We are offering help to these mothers, and if you’re saying we don’t have the right to be here, then go into the abortion clinic and make the arrests there.”
The police officer told Benham he doesn’t “have the authority” to go into the abortion clinic. In response, the pro-life activist asked him why, then, he has the authority to “bully” peaceful demonstrators.
As he was being handcuffed, Benham said: “You know I am well within my constitutional authority to be here. You know that we’re doing the right thing.”
Ultimately, Benham was booked and released later Saturday.
Is free speech along with so many other freedoms soon to be something of the past? Those in Hong Kong are fighting for something we in Australia and the USA have enjoyed for so long! That brings me to this. I was a subscriber to the following Word Press blog for sometime and then all at once it was down. Why? Who really knows, but it is back up and running but for how long? That’s another, Who knows.
‘Dear readers,
I’m so excited to report that RRW has been reconstructed after it was removed without notice by my previous host—WordPress.com—two months ago.
After working on informing and educating readers here in the US and around the world about issues related to refugee resettlement for nearly 12 years, you can imagine what a blow it was to find that the Speech Police had managed to apparently pressureWordPress.com into unceremoniously dumping my work and of course censoring me!
With the help of a compatriot, because I sure wasn’t capable of putting nearly 9,000 posts back into some usable format, welcome to the new RRW!
If you are a new reader, or even a long-time reader! and want to know more about how I came to be obsessed with seeing the US Refugee Admissions Program either abolished or reformed, see my ‘About’ at the top of the page.
The good news is that all the posts are here and the links back to previous posts have been reconfigured and should all be working. The categories work, as do the archives (see right hand sidebar).
More good news is that the Search function works great! Use the Search window in the upper right hand sidebar hereat my new site. Type in a few key words and see what I’ve posted on that subject over the years. (LOL! I suggest that you don’t use one key word such as ‘Somalis’ or be prepared for hours of reading.)
And, the best news is that I plan to post here from time to time because there is increasingly a lot of news on refugees that I have been posting at my other blog—Frauds, Crooks and Criminals(see all posts relating to refugees at ‘Frauds and Crooks’ by clickinghere.)
The bad news is that WordPress.com did not send me my subscribers or my photos/graphs/charts etc. So you will see a photo caption in many posts, but no photo.
More bad news is that at least so far there is no e-mail subscription capability here that I know of. So therefore, please book mark my new urlwhich ishttps://refugeeresettlementwatch.org/ and visit often!
And, one more thing, there is no opportunity to comment at the moment.
And, as for Twitter, (@RefugeeWatcher) I rarely post there or even visit because I got so disgusted with them messing with my account, but I continue to be grateful to all of you who post my material from time to time.
It is said Nero fiddled while Rome burned but Nero doesn’t have anything on Obama for he “…has yet to call for peace, two days after ongoing violence erupted in Milwaukee, Wisconsin after a black police officer shot an armed man resisting arrest.
Obama was briefed on the situation over the weekend, according to White House Spokesperson Jen Freidman – but, Obama has not taken time from his two-week golf vacation in Martha’s Vineyard to react to the violence and call for an end to the ongoing riots, vandalism, gun fire and attacks on police.
