‘A Norwegian woman is under investigation by authorities in Norway and is facing criminal charges and possible prison time for saying that men cannot be lesbians.
If charged and convicted, artist Tonje Gjevjon, who is herself a lesbian, could face up to three years in prison.
On November 17, Gjevjon was told that she was being investigated by the police over allegations of “hate speech.”
She came under investigation over a Facebook post that criticized men who said they were lesbians.
Gjevjon has faced intense pushback for publicly standing up for women’s rights.
In her post, she also criticized transgender activists who try to prosecute women for refusing to comply with “woke” gender ideology.
“It’s just as impossible for men to become lesbian as it is for men to become pregnant,” Gjevjon wrote.
“Men are men regardless of their sexual fetishes.”
In the post, translated to English by Facebook, Gjevjon wrote, “men with fetishes have been protected as a vulnerable minority through the foolish and constructed concept of gender identity is koko. [sic]”
Gjevjon said she posted her Facebook message on purpose to bring attention to Norway’s hate speech law.
The law was changed in 2020 when the country’s parliament voted to outlaw speech against people who identify as transgender.
Gjevjon is also not the first to be confronted with charges over saying men cannot be lesbians or mothers.
Last year, Gjevjon asked Anette Trettebergstuen, a politician in the Labour Party, what she was going to do to safeguard the rights of women and girls.
She also asked if she thought that men could be lesbians.
“I believe it is absolutely necessary to place biological sex as the basis in all contexts where sex has legal, cultural, or practical relevance, and that equating sex with gender identity has harmful, discriminatory consequences for women and girls – especially lesbians,” Gjevjon said in her question.
“Will the Equality Minister take action to ensure that lesbian women’s human rights are safeguarded, by making it clear that there are no lesbians with penises, that males cannot be lesbians regardless of their gender identity, and by tidying up the mess of the harmful gender policies left behind by the previous government?” She asked.
Trettebergstuen replied, “I do not share an understanding of reality where the only two biological sexes are to be understood as sex.
“Gender identity is also important.”
Gjevjon has also described being pushed out of the art community over her views, even though she was a prominent member of the music and art establishment for over 15 years.
“I have stated that women are female, that lesbians do not have penises, that children should not be responsible for decisions they do not have the capacity to understand the scope of, and that no-platforming is harmful to democracy,” Gjevjon wrote in Klassekampen, a Norwegian outlet.
“For these opinions, I have been canceled several times.
“I was not prepared for the extent of how queer organizations, politicians, and activists would demonize a lesbian artist who was not in step.
“Trans activists contact people I work with, portraying me as hateful and warning against being associated with me,” she said.’
‘Good morning! Hard to believe Christmas is less than two weeks away! And The Iowa Standard is officially in its fifth year of existence now.
Much of the last week or so was spent dissecting the Respect for Marriage Act. Sen. Joni Ernst has been censured or formally condemned by at least seven Republican county central committees. That number is expected to increase. We’ll publish a story today where Ernst essentially plays the victim and says people are upset at her because they haven’t read the bill.
Ernst is asking us to trust our religious liberty to Sen. Susan Collins and Sen. Chuck Schumer. No thanks. Actually, just no.
She wants us to ignore the warnings from respected conservative advocacy groups such as the Family Research Council, Liberty Counsel, Alliance Defending Freedom and others. She wants us to ignore conservative senators who have warned against the bill. And she wants us to ignore conservative House Republicans who, unlike Ashley Hinson and Mariannette Miller-Meeks, didn’t support it.
She wants us to ignore the fact that passing the Respect for Marriage Act filled Nancy Pelosi’s heart. And it was celebrated by Joe Biden.
If all those people are happy about something, conservatives should be concerned about it.
So, all of us who were told to “vote red” to “save America” since about October — do you feel like you saved America? Republicans hold every congressional office in Iowa (once Zach Nunn joins the House in January), yet 66 percent of the Iowa congressional delegation either did support the Respect for Marriage Act or said they would have (Nunn).
I think we were played. We’re being told by Iowa Faith & Freedom Coalition to be thankful for Sen. Chuck Grassley and Rep. Randy Feenstra who voted against it. Well, Grassley said he supports federal recognition of same-sex marriage and may have voted for it if the religious liberty protections were stronger. Feenstra hasn’t issued any statement at all.
How embarrassing and insulting to Iowa’s grassroots conservatives. And don’t look for the Republican Party of Iowa to stand up for conservatism. They’re more concerned with defining “censure” and the process of censure than they are the fact 4 of the 6 congressional Republicans from Iowa just voted to redefine marriage against the wishes of the RPI platform.
What a mess.
There is good news, though. Ernst is feeling the heat. Newsmax cited The Iowa Standard in an article about her vote. Iowa media did as well. She was asked about being censured.
All of that happened because of our combined efforts. It happened because seven courageous, conservative county central committees had the spine to do what is right and we were fortunate to amplify their voice.’https://theiowastandard.com/

This will not end well for society!
‘Edwards Elementary in Ames is encouraging students and staff to share their “unique self” through the creation of a set of school wings this week. Each teacher is provided with enough wings for themselves and their students.
The document states that “Pride Month” is celebrated every June as a tribute to those who were involved in the Stonewall Riots.
“The Riots were a pivotal event in LGBTQ+ history,” the document states. “Although we are not in school during the month of June, it is still important to recognize the identities of our Edwards Community.”
Lesson plans and activities are included for each class.’https://theiowastandard.com/pride-month-for-first-grade-students-in-ames-features-lesson-on-trans-crayon/

Proverbs 14:34 Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.
All too many political figures are against what used to be the normal such as marriage between one man and one woman. The Victorian Premier, Dan Andrews, is such a person.
‘Dan Andrews wants you and your views about marriage and life cancelled.
He thinks you are a bigot.
In an extraordinary attack on the pro-life and pro-marriage views of millions of Australians of all faiths and none, the Victorian Premier said these views were “bigotry”.
He was commenting on the appointment of Andrew Thorburn as the Chief Executive Officer of the Essendon Australian Football Club.
Thorburn’s “crime” is that, like millions of Australians, he attends a church that is pro-life and believes that marriage is for heterosexuals.
His church’s views are identical to those of millions of mosque-going Muslims and church-going Christians.
Yet Andrews thinks these Australians are all “bigots”.
“Those views are absolutely appalling. I don’t support those views; that kind of intolerance, that kind of hatred, bigotry is just wrong,” Andrews said.
“All of you know my views on these things. Those sort of attitudes are simply wrong, and to dress that up as anything other than bigotry is just obviously false.”
Andrews and the intolerant left are hell bent on punishing those who do not comply with their social views.
Port Phillips deputy mayor Tim Baxter, a prominent Essendon member, quit the club over the Thorburn’s appointment and urged a wider boycott.
Baxter said Thorburn should not be in a leadership position.
Thorburn is chair of the church, City on a Hill.
The persecution of socially conservative beliefs has escalated since the same-sex marriage debate in 2017 and the change in law, despite promises that there would be tolerance of traditional views.
It appears Thorburn is being discriminated against for his church’s religious beliefs.
Federal Labor under Prime Minister Anthony Albanese says it will legislate to protect religious freedom but it is hard to see this happening when senior Labor leaders like Andrews simply dismisses social values based on religion as “bigotry”.’https://familyfirstparty.org.au/pro-life-pro-marriage-you-are-a-bigot-says-dan-andrews%ef%bf%bc/
This may be Old Testament but it continues to be true! 2Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
Parents, WAKE UP!!!!!
We don’t watch the ABC but many Leftists do! Not surprisingly, they want less of the Queen’s funeral and more about the weirdo lifestyle many of them are seeking to live.
‘Darling of the ABC and former Insiders host Barrie Cassidy cannot understand why the national broadcaster is devoting so much coverage to the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
He tweeted during the week that the ABC had ‘misread its audience’ and given in to rank ‘populism’.
‘If you want wall-to-wall royalty you can get it elsewhere in spades. The ABC is better when it offers an alternative to populism.’
He makes a salient point.
When it comes to history, the ABC audience is far more likely to prefer it in the form of ground-breaking episodes of Peppa Pig featuring LGBTQ+ characters.
Last week, the ABC breathlessly reported that it had just aired an episode of the popular children’s cartoon featuring a pair of co-parenting lesbian polar bears.
The ABC headline read:
‘Peppa Pig introduces same-sex couple as Penny Polar Bear’s two mummies.’
Apparently, there had been a petition signed by almost 25,000 people wanting more LGBTQ+ representation among polar bears.’https://spectator.com.au/2022/09/abc-too-much-queen-not-enough-lgbtq/
‘A book in the middle of a big controversy in Florida is a common title available at public libraries across Iowa. It is also available at Waukee Northwest High School, Carlisle High School and Iowa City City High. Readers are encouraged to check their local school libraries to see if it is on the shelf.
The book is called “This Book Is Gay.”
In Florida, the book was discovered in a middle school library. We reviewed a copy of it at an Iowa library. We will be sharing excerpts from it over the next few days or so.
The book is shelved as a “young adult” book. The shelf is labeled as “teen.”
The book has been “updated” from its 2014 version. The author, a person now called “Juno” who used to be called James. The author said the book has “taken the world by storm.”
“It’s been translated into a dozen languages; it’s been banned in Alaska; it’s hit the headlines in the U.K.”
The book tells kids the point of “coming out” is to “have the FREEDOM to be who we are.”
“When did that stop being FUN?” it asks.
The LGBTQ+ club is the “hippest members club in town.”
Kids are told that just because LGBTQ’ers are in the minority, it doesn’t mean they aren’t normal.
“People with blue eyes are in the minority too, but we don’t think of them as abnormal, do we?” it asks.
Kids are told there are three options for people with same-sex “sexthoughts.” And basically ignoring those thoughts is option one.
“But I think these people are probably very sad and angry. I also think a lot of crazy homophobes are lingering perilously close to option one, and this is what makes them so hateful.”
Option two exists, which more people choose.
“You can totally have sex with people who are the same gender as you and not be “gay” or “lesbian” or “bi.”
Option three allows people to be “out and proud and open about their relationships or gender.”
“You have very little choice about your sexual preferences or gender, but only you get to define yourself. Living with stress and secrets is stressful.”
Kids are told “we all CONSIDER sex with both men and women.”
“Why wouldn’t we? We’re surrounded by sexy images in magazines and on TV. People who say they haven’t thought about it are probably liars. Therefore, it’s all about what we prefer sexually. We need to be open-minded at all times,” the book tells kids.
Sexual preference and gender are also fluid, kids are told — meaning they can feel one way now and another way later.
“In fact, when this book was first published, I was a gay man,” the author wrote. “Now I’m a trans woman! That’s just the way it goes, ain’t it.”
Kids are told the following about being “curious” or “questioning:”
“All young people should spend time thinking about desire. I think everyone would be a lot happier if they took a few weeks to dwell on what does it for them. It’d resolve a lot of tension and grief.”
Just like when it compared LGBTQ identities to people who have blue eyes, it compares things you might not think you’d like to food you might not think you’d like.
“I wouldn’t eat prawns until I was 18 — the mere idea of them freaked me out. But then I tried them and it turns out they’re DELISH.”
Transgender is defined as an umbrella term for all people who experiment with or move between genders.
Transsexual is a person who feels they were born into the wrong gender.
Transvestite is a cross-dresser who enjoys wearing clothes traditionally assigned to the opposite sex, mostly for fun.
And a drag queen/king is a “performance cross-dresser.”
“Advertisers would like us to believe that being female somehow feels different to being male, but we will never really know,” the book says.
“It sometimes seems bonkers to me to think that a dude would have to be ‘trans’ to put on a skirt or some heels,” the book continues. “Sadly, as most of the world is blind to how small-minded this is, that’s the way the cookie crumbles. For now.”
Mental gymnastics is required to follow the next part — that people choose separate identities for both gender and sexuality.
The author used to identify as a gay man, but is now a straight trans woman.
Kids are told LGBTQ+ people do not choose to be LGBTQ+, but “homophobes and transphobes” who are bigoted choose to hate.
The author writes that they hope they have “sold” the LGBTQ+ thing pretty well.
“I mean, it does sound brilliant, doesn’t it? You get to dress how you like and make out with whomever you want. It’s hip and trendy.”
We’ll release the next story tomorrow further showing portions of this book, which again, is shelved in a section for teens and housed at at least a few public high school libraries across Iowa.
The most obscene parts are yet to come.’https://theiowastandard.com/waukee-high-school-public-libraries-across-iowa-stock-book-causing-major-controversy-in-florida/
