The following involves those who live in Victoria, Australia but this will eventually affect all of us living in Australia! These people who are making these laws to silence any speech that disagrees with them. No more will one be able to say definitely there are only two genders; male and female! This vilification will even reach into one’s faith. Will a Bible believing Christian be able to quote John 14:6 without being taken to court? We will have to wait and see but it seems very likely it will happen.
The Australian Christian Lobby recently sent out an email speaking concerning this proposed reform.
“Urgent action is needed to oppose the Allan Government’s proposed reform of anti-vilification or “hate speech” laws. This reform threatens to lower the vilification threshold, making it easier to prosecute Christians and effectively confining their faith to private spaces. We must act now to protect our rights and freedoms.
The Overview Paper shows that the proposed changes to the law are very concerning. In brief, this law reform will set a dangerous precedent, introducing a subjective element into law that could see Christians in Victoria being reported to VEOHRC or VCAT based on someone’s perspective.
Christians could potentially be stifled, or even prosecuted, for expressing a religious view on Biblical sexual ethics and biological facts. Activists will find Christians an easy target to bring before a tribunal.
If these proposed changes become laws, Victorian Christians would be forced to suppress or hide their faith in public, including schools and workplaces, for fear of offending others.
This is law is repressive, robbing Christians of their freedom of religion, speech and expression.”

Keep it simple stupid is a line which makes sense; at least to me. When interpreting the Scriptures remember, when plain sense make good sense seek no other sense lest it result in non-sense!
This is from Report Islamophobia for 18 August telling Australian Muslims “During this time of heightened concern regarding the escalation of Islamophobia and anti-Muslim sentiment, we urge the Muslim community to remain vigilant and report any article, opinion piece, news item, commentary, blog, social media post, etc., that is biased against or vilifies Islam or the Muslim community and has been published in Australia.
The Alliance of Australian Muslims (AAM) team will take all reports seriously and take the necessary actions.”
What do they classify as being biased or vilifying Islam? Muslims can gather at the Sydney Opera House the day after October 7, 2023 and say “Gas the Jews” and that is acceptable. This is not going to end well for any of us! However, as for me and my house we will support the nation of Israel!
Should not a Muslim living in a Western nation such as Australia support Israel rather than the terrorist Hamas which murdered Jews on October 7th, 2023? Should not a Muslim living in Australia see Israel, the only democratic nation in the Middle East, as an ally and not an enemy? Should not those Muslim leaders in Australia openly condemn what Hamas did on October 7, 2023?
No, what Muslim leaders in Australia do is condemn Israel! I guess I will have to WAIT a long time for any condemnation from these “Religious” leaders to condemn the murder of innocent Jews on October 7, 2023! SHAME on Australia’s PM for not calling this out!

As Hamas and Hezbollah seek to destroy the nation of Israel the Australian Federal Government appoints a Special Envoy to Combat Islamophobia! Now, what do you really think this is all about? Near the end of the following pdf put out by the Australian National Imams Council (ANIC) one reads “There is much more work to be done, including establishing protective laws to guard against religious discrimination and vilification. This includes addressing the heightened levels of distress and anguish being experienced by some many because of the unprecedented suffering in Palestine and Lebanon and the inconsistent responses of political leaders to such suffering.
ANIC looks forward to working with the Special Envoy to identify and address issues of Islamophobia,
anti-Muslim, and anti-Palestinian sentiment.”
