We live overseas and have dual citizenship and therefore, we may still have the privilege of voting in the USA elections. We vote for the one we believe will continue to uphold the Constitution as the founding fathers intended. Nevertheless, the enemies of freedom have been at work since the founding of the nation and are today doing all they can to tear down America morally, finically and spiritually. Sometimes it seems like a losing battle but God is still on the throne. May this reading of Psalm One be a blessing to you as you meditate not on man but on the Creator and Sustainer of all life! Genesis 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
Paul the Apostle wrote ‘…that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures 1 Corinthians 15:3.
‘“God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.” (Galatians 6:14)
As we ponder the crucifixion of our Lord Jesus Christ, a fuller understanding should bring us to an ever-deeper reliance on and identification with Him. To assist us in examining the work of Christ on the cross, let us use the beloved hymn “The Old Rugged Cross.” Here we will find its words reflecting a deep and abiding love for Christ and His cross. The next four days we will, in turn, study each of its four verses, but today note its chorus:
So I’ll cherish the old rugged cross,
Till my trophies at last I lay down;
I will cling to the old rugged cross,
And exchange it some day for a crown.
Our text reminds us that there is no worth in any deed of our own, including even a full adherence to the law of Moses (Galatians 6:12-13). Only through the cross and the salvation by grace made possible by the cross do we have any standing before God. We must cherish the cross, and cling to it! Thus, we can say with Paul that this “world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world”—its sinful allurements and the recognition of men of no value.
“Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing” (2 Timothy 4:8). All our legitimate accomplishments, those true trophies or “[crowns] of rejoicing” (1 Thessalonians 2:19) done in His power and for His glory, will be cast before His throne (Revelation 4:10) in recognition of His worth and kingship. His cross made it all possible. So I’ll cherish the old rugged cross. JDM’ https://www.icr.org/article/11825
Matthew 14:25 “And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea.”

‘I have frequently been told that I should not believe that God literally used six 24-hour days to create the world, and I should not argue against evolution because all these scientists have proved that the world came about the way that they say it did! It is worth referring such people to Matthew 14, to the account of Jesus walking on the water. It is obvious that the disciples were not used to seeing such a thing. In the poor light of the night, and the storm, they understandably mistook Jesus for a ghost. But eventually, they recognized Him when He told them not to be afraid.
Science would obviously maintain that a man cannot walk on water. Water, being a liquid, does not provide sufficient resistance to the force of gravity on the man’s feet, to maintain him in the upright position. So how was Jesus able to do what He did? Many people have tried to find excuses, but it seems pretty clear that this was a real man, walking on a real liquid, with real feet, in defiance of the laws of physics. But Jesus was the one who created the laws of physics! They are His to do with as He pleases! He could even command Peter to come to Him, walking on the water. And Peter was able to take a few steps at Jesus’ command, until, like we often do, he took His eyes off the Lord.’ https://creationmoments.com/sermons/jesus-walked-on-water/?mc_cid=fcdf873114&mc_eid=00c1dcff3c
Well, here I am in regional New South Wales, Australia and it has been raining pretty much steadily for the past three days. Me thinks, the draught might be over. Nevertheless, the Climate scammers continue their propaganda of falsehoods and lies but there is a ray of light shining forth at Glacier National Park.
‘Officials at Glacier National Park (GNP) have begun quietly removing and altering signs and government literature which told visitors that the Park’s glaciers were all expected to disappear by either 2020 or 2030.
The centerpiece of the visitor center at St. Mary near the east boundary is a large three-dimensional diorama showing lights going out as the glaciers disappear. Visitors press a button to see the diorama lit up like a Christmas tree in 1850, then showing fewer and
fewer lights until the diorama goes completely dark. As recently as September 2018 the diorama displayed a sign saying GNP’s glaciers were expected to disappear completely by 2020.
The glaciers are not disappearing as expected because the models are wrong. In fact, worldwide some glaciers are reducing but many more are growing.
So those who rely on a false belief system will never get it right. The Creator is superintending the planet He created for us and He will preserve it until it comes to the time when He refurbishes it, creating a new Heaven and a new Earth.’ https://biblescienceforum.com/2020/02/08/glacier-national-park-quietly-removes-its-gone-by-2020-signs/
Does one have to be a ‘scientist’ to believe either evolution or creation? No, for both are taken by faith. In the evolution theory no one was there so many many assumptions are made but in the creation account God was and He has left a detailed account of that event. You may read it in Genesis.
‘When Dr. Marcus Ross was asked about being in the film IS GENESIS HISTORY he was ‘…asked what he thought was one of the most fascinating evidences for a global flood. He immediately said “trackways.”
Trackways? I had never heard of trackways.
He explained they were basically fossilized footprints. The impressions left by a creature walking or crawling in soft sediment had hardened and left identifiable tracks. Although fossil footprints were not unusual in themselves, it’s where they occur in relation to other fossils that’s so unusual: trackways consistently appear in rock layers below the bones and teeth and shells of the animals that made them.
But why is that curious?
He said if you think the earth is billions of years old, then those layers of rock represent millions of years of history. How is it possible that footprints could appear millions of years before there’s any evidence of the hard parts of the same animals? If there are footprints, there have to be creatures – where are their fossils? How could millions of years pass with millions of creatures dying (all with bones and teeth and shells) and none of them remain behind?
But there’s another solution. If you think the earth was covered by a global flood, then finding trackways below body fossils makes a lot of sense. Those animals that made the trackways were lifted up and carried higher, their bones and teeth and shells eventually being buried by the rising floodwater. As a result, their body fossils would be found consistently higher than their tracks.
It’s a pattern we see everywhere.
A CURIOUSLY CONSISTENT PATTERN
Marcus emphasized it’s the consistent pattern that that makes this so compelling. It’s a pattern found in trilobites (little marine creatures), in amphibians, and in dinosaurs. According to the old earth paradigm, tracks are being found millions of years before body fossils.
How many years are we talking about? 10 million between trilobite tracks and trilobite fossils; 35 million between amphibian tracks and amphibian fossils; and 10 million between dinosaur tracks and dinosaur fossils. That is a curious pattern indeed.’ The rest of the article may be read at https://isgenesishistory.com/fossil-footprints-curious-evidence-flood/?utm_source=Is+Genesis+History%3F&utm_campaign=38c8f28617-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2020_01_30_11_36&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_052697a034-38c8f28617-150261953&mc_cid=38c8f28617&mc_eid=2abe4a38b0
Genesis 8:22 While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.
Most of us want clean air, clean drinkable water and a rubbish free environment. However, what the climate scammers are pushing really has nothing to do with any of the three. The climate scammers want to restrict our living standards and tax us for the privilege of living a lifestyle technology has provided so far. The climate scammers want to replace God the Creator.
Drought and famines have occurred on this earth for millenniums. Here are some Scriptures showing such.
Genesis 12:10 And there was a famine in the land: and Abram went down into Egypt to sojourn there; for the famine was grievous in the land.
Genesis 26:1 And there was a famine in the land, beside the first famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went unto Abimelech king of the Philistines unto Gerar.
Genesis 41:56, 57 And the famine was over all the face of the earth: And Joseph opened all the storehouses, and sold unto the Egyptians; and the famine waxed sore in the land of Egypt. 57 And all countries came into Egypt to Joseph for to buy corn; because that the famine was so sore in all lands.
1Kings 17:7 And it came to pass after a while, that the brook dried up, because there had been no rain in the land.
Famine is usually caused by the lack of rain so one should get the point by now that God is in control! This Climate Scam is all about doing away with God, more taxes, and more government intervention into the lives of the people. In the following video John MacKay speaks to that point. Even though this was a talk he gave in Scotland back in 2007 it is as relevant today as it was then.
Psalm 119:11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
John 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
2Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness
The world is at war with God and His Word.

face of Christ. Riley Harris, the USM student behind the controversial piece, has insisted that it was created in accordance with an artwork assignment.
“I was thinking a lot about questioning authority in general,” Harris told Central Maine of the project, which is titled “Unholy Bible: Very Revised Standard Edition.”
“People question different types of authority, but for some reason religious authority seems too taboo to question, so I thought I would give it a shot.”
But that wasn’t good enough for Charlie Flynn, a member of The Casco Bay Church of Christ, which on the Portland Campus at USM. It was as the family was attending a service when Flynn’s young daughter noticed the shocking display and alerted her father.
“This is someone’s sacred text being desecrated, destroyed and displayed in a public place,” Flynn told the outlet. “I couldn’t help but feel no one’s sacred text should be treated that way. I think it’s very inappropriate and repugnant.”
After receiving a complaint from Flynn, the University’s vice president for enrollment management and marketing, Jared Cash, defended the student’s right to free speech.
The university “supports freedom of speech rights for all students, affirmed and upheld by Board of Trustee System Policy 212,” he said. The policy itself details that if the expression free speech does not “violate the law, defame specific individuals, genuinely threaten or harass others, or violate privacy or confidentiality requirements or interests,” it is duly permitted on campus.
While supporting the right to free expression, Flynn believes the artwork causes undue offense, and would not be allowed if it mocked other religions.
“If I saw a Koran with pig blood on it I would certainly call someone, or a Torah with unclean foods on it,” he said. “This is a Bible with Satan’s image put over Jesus’ image and around Christmastime. I don’t understand why that would be viewable in an institution of higher learning. This is USM, a school that services the community.” https://www.faithwire.com/2020/01/09/no-ones-sacred-text-should-be-treated-that-way-universitys-shock-bible-display-prompts-free-speech-debate/?utm_source=FWNL
Some ‘new’ fundamentalists have surrendered to the new Calvinist conservative evangelical scholarship that is so prevalent today. Much of that scholarship is in the Southern Baptist camp. Therefore, many of those who think they are whatever a fundamentalist is supposed to be, have sought unity with Al Mohler, Mark Dever, T4G and TGC crowd.

Southern Baptist & New Calvinist Mark Dever
However, not all Bible believing Baptists have conceded Biblical truth for ‘scholarship’.

Southern Baptist & New Calvinist Al Mohler
‘Three or four times, I think, an anonymous person has posted a comment in which he writes a short paragraph to say that I’m not a scholar, except in a very small circle of KJVO churches. His evidence of this is the lack of acknowledgement received from evangelical scholarship. I’m not recognized in scholarly circles, he says, which proves I’m not a scholar. His point for these comments is to discredit what I write with hopes that no one takes what I write seriously.
Whether I’m a scholar or not had not occurred to me until this person had written these anonymous comments. I’d like to address this, because now it seems like an interesting subject to me. It brought back to memory an article written by Aaron Strouse, “What Is Biblical Scholarship?” Does it matter if someone is considered a scholar? What matters to me is if what I’m writing is true, hence the title of the blog, What Is Truth.
Obviously the idea behind anonymous’s comments is that recognition from certain association is what makes someone a scholar. This reminds me of how the religious leaders dealt with Jesus. To them, Jesus wasn’t a scholar, because He didn’t receive the imprimatur of the sacral society of the day. These men essentially quoted each other and received their endorsement by approved person. The Lord Jesus on the other hand spoke with direct authority, proving His doctrine from scripture. I call this making your cake from scratch versus making it out of the box. Jesus went directly to the source of authority.
A long time ago I knew that I would not get the acceptance of mainstream scholarship. It gives its approval to its own people, which must take “correct” positions. It’s very much like the accreditation of the state schools. Almost all of it relates to power and money. Darwinism is a prerequisite for inclusion in the scientific establishment. We all know that a establishment exists in Washington, DC that protects itself from outside competition.
The money factor in establishment scholarship relates especially to the schools and the publishers. Schools need a broad position to attract the most possible students for more tuition and money to pay for buildings and faculty. Accreditation relates to size. Publishers, as one might understand, need books that will sell enough to make money. The two are interrelated and scholarship means fitting into positions acceptable to a larger group of people. The power lies in positions that will bring the money that pays mortgages. Someone who does not toe the line will lose out. He should know that in advance as he makes his decision to elevate the truth above acceptance and power.
I’m saying that the truth trumps so-called scholarship. The real power is in heaven, and the approval should be Jesus Christ. Moses rejected the court of Pharoah for the people of God. When I go door to door, the people I talk to don’t ask me if I’m a scholar. I’ve got to stand and show them the truth from the Bible, where they believe it because it is God’s Word. I don’t quote and footnote and explain that so-and-so Dr. Scholar says. When someone does discipleship in the church, he doesn’t say, let’s do this because “most scholars say.” He opens his Bible and proves things straight from the Bible.
The Lord Jesus said, By their fruits ye shall know them. When He said that, He was saying that you judge someone by what kind of fruit is produced, the followers. Are the people following you obedient to the Word of God? As a result, are the people following you living obedient, holy lives in surrender to Jesus Christ? That’s also what builds a church.
My approach on this blog is to present a biblical and historical position. That will stand up to scrutiny. If I write something here that is true — it is biblical and historical — and someone says, “that’s not scholarly” or “you aren’t a scholar,” that doesn’t overturn what I’ve written. What should matter is whether what I’ve written is true.
I could point to at least five or ten different issues or matters where I have proven something from scripture to overturn a “scholar.” Daniel Wallace, who is considered a scholar in the mainstream, wrote an article that said that God did not in fact preserve every Word to be available for God’s people. I dealt with every one of his arguments in a biblical manner without getting an answer, except for personal attack. What I wrote stands, whether he is a scholar or not.
Many years ago, I unveiled the gender discord argument between Hebrew noun and pronoun that backs up the position of a masculine pronoun as antecedent of a feminine noun in Psalm 12:6-7. I sent a paper out by email that made its way all over the country. With clear proof of that gender discord position with numerous examples relating to the Word of God, I never received an answer from those who took the wrong view. Proximity of antecedent to the noun comes back into play. I debunked the argument of gender discord, but “scholars” would not rescind. This dishonesty is scholarship, I’ve found. What is more important? Being a scholar or telling the truth?
I’ve written many articles proving from scripture that unity is based upon all the teaching of scripture and not the “essentials.” There is no biblical proof of unity based on “essential doctrines.” This is very important if unity is very important, which it is.
I understand that I’m defending unpopular positions here, but that doesn’t mean that what I’m writing is false. The “scholars” should prove that what I’m writing is wrong, based upon scripture. They don’t do that. Are they really scholars? Is that what we want scholarship to be?
Even if I’m not a scholar, which I’m happy to agree, that I’m not one, I believe Thomas Ross, who posts here on Friday, is a scholar in a class of anyone who might be called a scholar. He has his personal devotions in Hebrew and Greek. I believe he has large portions of scripture memorized in the original language. I’ve read a lot of scholarship, and he is a scholar. He stands up easily to other so-called scholars, except actually being a scholar. Thomas Ross writes here, perhaps because he recognizes that I write the truth. Is in a regular, consistent way proving the truth, scholarship? That should be what matters.
In the end, we’re going to stand before God, and He’s going to judge. That’s the judgment I’m concerned about. Many, if not most of these scholars, will stand before God, but not at the bema seat judgment. They’ll stand before Him at the Great White Throne Judgment. They aren’t even saved, and this is evidenced by their elevation of “scholarship” ahead of truth. God is going to judge based upon the truth, not what men agree is scholarly.’ http://kentbrandenburg.blogspot.com/2020/01/does-it-matter-if-someone-is-scholar-or.html

Nonconformist Matthew Henry wrote concerning the 45th Psalm and our Saviour that ‘There is more in Christ to engage our love, than there is or can be in any creature. This world and its charms are ready to draw away our hearts from Christ; therefore we are concerned to understand how much more worthy he is of our love.’
‘“All thy garments smell of myrrh, and aloes, and cassia, out of the ivory palaces, whereby they have made thee glad.” (Psalm 45:8)
Psalm 45 is one of the Messianic psalms, quoted as such in Hebrews 1:8-9. The section so quoted (vv. 6-7), which immediately precedes our text, begins with one Person of the Godhead addressing the Messiah also as “God,” whose throne is eternal. Then, He says, “Oh God, . . . thy God hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.” The “oil of gladness” was the holy oil used for the anointing of priests and kings and was compounded of a mixture of spices that included myrrh and cassia (Exodus 30:22-25). Since the Messiah had been anointed to be “above his fellows” (first as High Priest, then as King of kings), “all his garments” would bear the sweet aroma of the holy ointment.
At the birth of Christ, His garments were “swaddling clothes,” and the gifts of the eastern wise men included a supply of myrrh and frankincense (Luke 2:7; Matthew 2:11). At His death, they gave Him to drink “wine mingled with myrrh [and] . . . parted his garments” (Mark 15:23-24). Then once again His body was wrapped in linen clothes and anointed with myrrh and aloes (John 19:39-40) for His burial.
The psalmist sees Christ (i.e., “Messiah,” both Greek and Hebrew titles meaning “the Anointed One”) emerging triumphantly from the “ivory palaces.” These mansions with their ivory walls and pearly gates are of shimmering white beauty in the distant heavenly city that will someday descend to Earth (Revelation 21:2, 10-21).
The Lord descended once from these ivory palaces to take on human flesh in Mary’s womb, thence to a burial in Joseph’s tomb. But someday He will again come forth, anointed as eternal King, and then “shall the people praise thee for ever and ever” (Psalm 45:17).’ https://www.icr.org/article/11515
