Iowa
Yes, there are choices to be made in the election for the Iowa Senate. Here we have one that believes a baby is worth keeping alive and another that believes it is alright to kill the baby if one desires to do so https://fb.watch/fEJDOe3W_j/! Well, I know which one I would be voting for!!!
‘We have written before about Democrat State Sen. Sarah Trone Garriott. After redistricting, she was lumped in with Republican Senate President Jake Chapman.
Chapman has been a conservative stalwart in the Iowa Senate. He has stood for life, individual rights, free speech, self-defense and just about everything a conservative could want.
Trone Garriott, on the other hand, is championing pornography in schools and the legalized killing of unborn babies. And she’s doing so while constantly pointing out she is a “minister” in the ELCA.
Trone Garriott is the “Sinister Minister” of the Iowa legislature.’ For the full article go to https://theiowastandard.com/sinister-minister-trone-garriott-continues-championing-abortion-pornographic-materials-in-schools/
‘Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds submitted an opinion piece to the Des Moines Register earlier this month. It was about the Register’s efforts to defend the Linn-Mar School District keeping secret gender plans from parents of students in grades 7-12.
The policy has been highly controversial. And Reynolds wanted to respond to the Register’s editorial in defense of the policy.
The Register’s opinion editor, someone we believe to be a biological male called Lucas Grundmeier, planned to publish it in last Sunday’s edition. With one “substantive change…”
Grundmeier wrote:
“This sentence: Biological males will be allowed to share restrooms, locker rooms and sleeping quarters on overnight trips with girls.
“Became: Children assigned male at birth will be allowed to share restrooms, locker rooms and sleeping quarters on overnight trips with girls.
“I will not revert to the original, but if you’d prefer a different edit I will use it instead. Please let me know this afternoon.”
The Governor’s office asked Grundmeier if the statement “biological male” is factually incorrect. Keep in mind this is an opinion piece, meant to convey the opinion of the author.
Grundmeier wrote it isn’t a question of accuracy. And that while the Register isn’t bound by the AP Stylebook, it is “the starting point” of how the Register handles “topics” where “language itself is part of the political debate.”’https://theiowastandard.com/crazy-people-running-des-moines-register-refuse-to-print-governors-op-ed-over-term-biological-boys/

‘Parents Defending Education filed a lawsuit in U.S. District Court against the Linn-Mar Community School District on Aug. 2. Defendants also include the superintendent and members of the Linn-Mar School Board.
The lawsuit is a result of Linn-Mar’s policy of allowing students to create “gender support plans” without parental knowledge or consent.
The lawsuit says Linn-Mar is “flouting” constitutional guarantees that parents have a constitutional liberty interest in the care, custody and control of their children and that students do not abandon their First Amendment rights at the schoolhouse gate.
The policy allows school officials to work with students as young as seventh grade to create such plans for gender transition without parental involvement. It also forces peers to acknowledge preferred gender identities of classmates.
Per the lawsuit, the district can:
*require all employees and students to address the child by a new name;
*require all employees and students to address the child by a new pronoun;
*have the child’s name changed on numerous government documents, including identification cards, yearbooks and diplomas;
*allow the child to use the restrooms, locker rooms and changing facilities that correspond with the child’s gender identity;
*allow the child to participate in PE classes, intramural sports, clubs and other events that correspond with the child’s gender identity;
*allow the child to room with other students who share the child’s gender identity.
“These actions can happen without any knowledge or input from the child’s parents,” the lawsuit states. “Instead, these decisions will be made solely by the child and ‘school administrators and/or school counselors.’”
The lawsuit states the district will withhold the information even if it is specifically requested by parents.’https://theiowastandard.com/parents-sue-linn-mar-over-secret-gender-support-plans-for-students-as-young-as-seventh-grade/
‘Iowa’s highest court on Friday ruled that the state’s constitution does not include a “fundamental right” to abortion, reversing its own finding from four years ago and reviving a law requiring women to wait 24 hours after an initial appointment before getting an abortion.’https://rumble.com/v18uucc-iowa-top-court-rejects-right-to-abortion.html?mref=6zof&mrefc=2
