‘There were some fine words from the Prime Minister, Scott Morrison, this week when he spoke in Melbourne to a Victorian Chamber of Commerce event attended mainly by small business owners. Apparently there are still some left in that long-suffering city, home to the longest-lasting lockdowns in the world and easily the most draconian Covid restrictions in the Western world. After some typically Morrisonian ‘how good is Australia’ blather about getting your hair cut or meeting friends at the pub, he finally got to the point. ‘The taste of freedom,’ he announced; a sentence without a verb as if it were the title of a new book or movie. ‘It must never be taken from us again. That is why I put the national plan together. A plan based on the best possible medical science and economics to ensure we open safely and stay safely open. Australians have kept their side of this deal by getting vaccinated. Governments must now keep theirs and return to Australians their freedoms.’
Full marks for the sentiment. But the detail of his comments reveals the disappointing fact that our Prime Minister not only doesn’t understand the true concept of freedom, but worse, is trying to excuse and paper over the gaping black hole of genuine leadership that has engulfed the nation these last eighteen months.
Let’s start with the taste of freedom. Rather than being an ancient concept that millions of humans have died so that others may experience and cherish it, Mr Morrison instead sees freedom as akin to a new brand of Vegemite or a new Aussie beer (mid-strength, obviously). In the Morrison world view, freedom is as you-beaut-ripper as a Kingswood station wagon packed with the kids heading down to the coast for the summer hols (and about as irritating). Freedom is as convenient and as comfy as your favourite pair of tracksuit pants and thongs (and just as easily discarded).
Morrison’s ‘freedom’ is ‘part of who we are’, much in the same way that a burnt snag at a Bunnings sausage sizzle is.
And as such – and this is the disturbing bit – freedom is actually something the government manufactures, that the government owns and that the government will give you if you’ve been a good boy or a good girl. Indeed, in the Prime Minister’s mind, freedom is very much and very explicitly a bargaining chip. A token in a game of viral tiddlywinks. Freedom in exchange for being vaccinated.
That is a dangerous precedent. Freedom should be the inalienable right of every law-abiding Australian regardless of their health status. The Prime Minister, several months ago, claimed that the vaccines would not be mandatory. Although that may be technically correct in the most legalistic sense, the stark reality is that for the time being to all intents and purposes Covid vaccines are mandatory in Australia. Therefore the Prime Minister has broken his own word either through neglect or on purpose.
Depressingly, NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet has retreated on his own fine words that freedom was not a gift of any government, and now that he is in power has similarly using denial of freedoms and social isolation as forms of punishment by arbitrarily extending restrictions on the unvaccinated by a fortnight.
Then comes the prime ministerial non-sequitur, and it’s a real doozy. Mr Morrison claims that he put his much-prized ‘national plan’ together in order to ensure that our freedoms will ‘never be taken from us again’. That’s quite the claim! In fact, the self-stated purpose of the national plan was to ‘relink the states’ and ‘connect Australia to the world’. Nothing in there about ensuring our freedoms would ‘never be taken from us again’. In order to achieve that noble goal, the Prime Minister will have to do what he should have done last year when he was offered the chance (you only get one Clive Palmer in your lifetime) to challenge the Constitutional legality of closed borders. That would have been one crucial step towards guaranteeing the permanence and inalienability of individual freedoms. Another would be to legislate – as has been done by the Republican governor of Florida, Ron de Santis – to make it illegal under Australia’s human rights laws to discriminate against any Australian citizen within this country based on their vaccination status.
So – no, Prime Minister, your national plan was not designed to ensure that the taste of freedom will never be taken from us again. That might sound good in the research focus groups, but it is a lie. Australians, and in particular Australian businesses, have no guarantee that their freedoms won’t be ripped from them again the moment that, for example, a new variant of the virus should appear, or even a new virus pops out again from a bowl of bat soup or any other delicacy being conveniently served up adjacent to a Chinese bio-weapons lab, or the efficacy of vaccines wears off or, for whatever reason, the public decides against immunisation boosters or other such measures.
Having ignored freedom when we needed it the Prime Minister is now waving it around on the eve an election. This China virus has allowed those elected officials who lean toward the CCP type of rule over the people to move further in that direction all under the guise of keeping the populace healthy and safe! Well, now ‘Authorised officers have raided a surgery in Melbourne, taking confidential patient documents pursuant of Covid health orders according to a rattled Melbourne doctor shocked by the experience.
Seven authorised officers were recorded on a Facebook livestream arriving outside the surgery in the Western suburbs at 1.15pm today after Dr Mark Hobart allegedly refused to surrender private patient information to Victorian health officers.
“I have just been invaded by seven authorised officers from the Department of Health and they have seized my confidential patient files and my appointment book and various other documents. They say they are going to give me an itemised list of what they’ve taken. And there was quite an intimidating experience. I think they’ve gone now…” said Dr Mark Hobart. “They just came here to seize files […] they all just came in and started walking around.”
Dr Hobart said that he was not served with any kind of warrant.
“This means that the government can go to any doctor and enter their premises and seize patient files for no reason. They haven’t given me any reason why they wanted to see my patients’ files,” added Dr Hobart.
A sign affixed to the inside of the surgery window reads:
‘The Victorian Government has banned patients from entering this surgery because Dr [Mark] Hobart refused to surrender your private and confidential patient files.’
Morgan C Jonas live-streamed part of the incident to Facebook.
“I was told by these people that there is no such thing as patient confidentiality under the news laws,” said Dr Hobart, when asked about the status of patient confidentiality.
The authorised officers were allegedly acting under the current Public Health and Wellbeing Act 2008, citing several sections to Dr Hobart while the files were being removed. Dr Hobart is not sure exactly what was taken. He had to hurriedly copy part of his appointment book, which was also confiscated.
Dr Hobart was also issued with a prohibition notice and told to cease training, meaning he is only allowed to speak with patients over the phone. He can no longer treat patients in the surgery or earn an income from his work.
One of the authorised officers interrogated the receptionist at the surgery, asking if she was fully vaccinated – she replied that she was.
“The doctor has to supply that to me. He [Mark Hobart] has to supply proof that you’re double-vaxxed or you’ve got an exemption,” said the authorised officer.
“I don’t feel comfortable with giving out people’s medical information,” replied Dr Hobart.
The staff were distressed at the Victorian government removing patient information without their knowledge. The authorised officers left with their arms full of private medical files.
They were asked if they would like to make a comment for the media, but the authorised officers did not reply.

How do I know Morrison’s on the election trail? He is now taking a stand, howbeit the wrong one! He is also now and only now really criticizing the Premiers for their handling of the China virus. So, the now climate change ‘Prime Minister Scott Morrison has taken a swipe at Premier Daniel Andrews over his “extreme” COVID-19 restrictions as he thanked millions of Melburnians for standing strong during the pandemic despite being the most locked down city in the world.
Mr Morrison was speaking at the Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Melbourne where he acknowledged Australia had done the “hard yards” but “especially” residents living in Victoria.
He said while the federal government provided relief with the JobKeeper and JobSeeker packages, it was small and medium-size businesses who were keeping the Victorian economy afloat and dealing with the “frustration of extreme lockdowns”.
“You’re (businesses) the ones who have kept Victorians in jobs. You’re the ones who’ve kept supply chains opened and connected,” he said on Wednesday morning.
“You’re the ones who have managed the heartache and the complexity and the frustration of extreme lockdowns and the restrictions and keeping your customers COVID-safe.”
Mr Morrison declared freedoms “must never be taken away from us again” as he was thriving seeing the “human faces of reopening” since arriving in Victoria.
“You see it in the smiles and on faces of small businesspeople,” he said.
“You see it in the hugs at the airports as families unite across geographies and generations.
“You see it in the really simple pleasures. Friends just catching up. Having a beer. Going to restaurants. Strolling around the shops. Getting a haircut.
“It (freedoms) must never be taken from us again.”
The Doherty Institute was also recognised for providing “home grown” advice for the National Plan in safely reopening borders around the country.
He doubled down on earlier comments made on freedoms, urging governments to “return freedoms” to Australians as they held their end of the deal by heeding calls from leaders to roll their sleeves up and get vaccinated.
“We’re not going back. Australians have kept their side of this deal by getting vaccinated,” he said.
“Governments right across the country must keep theirs and return to Australians their freedoms.”
Melbourne became the most locked down city anywhere in the world in October after being restricted to stay-at-home health orders for 262 days since the beginning of the pandemic in 2020.

Mr Morrison has been on a media and election campaign blitz in the state where he announced the future electric vehicle plan and $1 billion funding for Australian entrepreneurs to develop new technologies as part of the government’s bid to cut greenhouse emissions by 2050.
The Low Emissions Technology Commercialisation Fund will combine $500 million of new capital for the Clean Energy Finance Corporation, from the government, and $500 million from private sector investors.
The investment will target early stage technologies that have the potential to close the gap to net zero with venture capital investments – not grants or loans – in up and coming and innovative businesses to assist growth and scaling up.

‘Yet another proud Branch Covidian has passed away from getting “vaccinated” following months of mockery towards the “unvaccinated.”
Richard Rowe, a truck driver who ran for Congress in Florida and lost, “passed away unexpectedly,” his family reported. Rowe’s death occurred not long after he received his injections from Pfizer-BioNTech.
A loud “progressive” who also self-identified as an LGBTQ, Rowe loved to post hatred all over his Facebook page. The 41-year-old was well-known for cursing, wishing death upon his political opponents, and mocking “anti-vaxxers.”
Rowe was also notorious for taking jabs (no pun intended) at Americans who reject vaccination, calling for them to be designated as second-class citizens without rights.
When Rowe got his first shot of Pfizer on August 12, he uploaded a photo with the following caption:
“Yeah, I’m mostly here for personal ego. Already had COVID last year, so not worried about catching it. But I want to maintain my smug sense of moral and intellectual superiority while making fun of Darwin’d anti-vaxxers. It’s actually pretty noble, really.”
Smug definitely captures the essence of who Rowe was as a person. Other accurate descriptors include arrogant and hate-filled.
Are covid “vaccines” turning people into braindead monsters?
Rowe seems to have always been a hateful guy, but the vitriol really escalated after his first Pfizer injection. He quickly became a hate monger on steroids, so to speak, posting comments that would have gotten him banned from Facebook had he been a conservative directing them at liberals.
On October 3, for instance, Rowe went on a rant about the term “bisexual,” claiming that it is transphobic and exclusive. Rowe would have preferred the term “pansexual,” which he said is more inclusive of “trans” and “non-binary” people.
On October 16, Rowe publicly advocated for young children to be indoctrinated into LGBTQ perversion at an early age to combat the normal relationships many of them are used to seeing in children’s cartoon programming.
“Kids are already inundated with sex and sexuality from the minute they turn on that screen,” Rowe wrote, strangely referring to Disney films like The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, and Beauty and the Beast.
“It’s just that we’ve standardized gender binaries and strictly heterosexual relationships so much that we don’t think twice about those depictions.”
On October 7, as well as twice on October 8, and again on October 18 (twice) and October 27, Rowe went on numerous rants against anti-vaxxers who are just saying no to the injections.
On the 7th, Rowe said he doesn’t “give a s***” what happens to the unvaccinated. On the 8th, he tried to argue that vaccine mandates are perfectly normal. Once again on the 8th, Rowe mocked anti-vaxxers using racist rhetoric by comparing them to illegal aliens begging for work outside of Home Depot.
Rowe’s last Facebook message on October 27 tried to argue that Biden has limitless power as a dictator to require that everyone get injected for the Chinese Flu.
“Homosexual culture and the injections are inherently linked because both are integral to the depopulation agenda,” reported The Covid Blog about Rowe’s inclincations.
“But if trends keep moving in the same direction, homosexual culture will be gone in a matter of a few years. Receiving these shots is self-deletion; and LGBT are the most eager to line up for it. And they believe it’s a noble thing to do.”
“There’s no more time to be politically correct,” the blog added.
“Playing along with the homosexual agenda is akin to cooperating with and promoting the vaxx agenda, and thus the depopulation agenda. Which side are you on? Stay vigilant and protect your friends and loved ones.”

‘A 45-year-old bartender is dead in yet another case of death after social media virtue signaling.
Mr. Jason Bryan Maurer received his first dose of experimental Moderna mRNA on April 2 at the Giant Eagle Pharmacy in Tallmadge, Ohio. He expected side effects because, “Dr. Fauci says yes the first shot is rough.” Several of his friends congratulated him on getting the shot.
Mr. Maurer reported no apparent side effects from the first injection. The second injection came on April 30. Several friends, again, offered praise, including one that said, “girl u gonna get sick as hell for a couple of days, we all did.”
Mr. Maurer posted a very strange update on May 3. He implied that the experimental COVID-19 injections were a good thing because “we still don’t have a vaccine for AIDS.” He concluded the post with, “shut the hell up and get your Covid (sic) vaccine.” Of course, the HIV virus was patented in 1989 and AZT has a skull and crossbones on the label.
Mr. Maurer was the ideal American for the COVID overlords. He registered for the Ohio “Vax-A-Million” lottery that gives people a chance to win money if they receive the experimental injections. Several other states also offer lotteries for vaxxed people.
One of his final Facebook posts mocked Christians. It featured a Bible verse, specifically John 8:31-32 with a man waving a flag that represents homosexual culture (“LGBT”).
