The following is adapted from a talk delivered at Hillsdale College on September 20, 2021, during a Center for Constructive Alternatives conference on “Critical American Elections.”
‘Sixteen years ago, in 2005, the Carter-Baker Commission on Federal Election Reform issued a report that proposed a uniform system of requiring a photo ID in order to vote in U.S. elections. The report also pointed out that widespread absentee voting makes vote fraud more likely. Voter files contain ineligible, duplicate, fictional, and deceased voters, a fact easily exploited using absentee ballots to commit fraud. Citizens who vote absentee are more susceptible to pressure and intimidation. And vote-buying schemes are far easier when citizens vote by mail.
Who was behind the Carter-Baker Commission? Donald Trump? No. The Commission’s two ranking members were former President Jimmy Carter, a Democrat, and former Secretary of State James Baker III, a Republican. Other Democrats on the Commission were former Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle and former Indiana Congressman Lee Hamilton. It was a truly bipartisan commission that made what seemed at the time to be common sense proposals.
How things have changed. Some of the Commission’s members, Jimmy Carter among them, came out last year to disavow the Commission’s work. And despite surveys showing that Americans overwhelmingly support measures to ensure election integrity—a recent Rasmussen survey found that 80 percent of Americans support a voter ID requirement—Democratic leaders across the board oppose such measures in the strongest terms.
Here, for instance, is President Biden speaking recently in Philadelphia, condemning the idea of voter IDs: “There is an unfolding assault taking place in America today—an attempt to suppress and subvert the right to vote in fair and free elections, an assault on democracy, an assault on liberty, an assault on who we are—who we are as Americans. For, make no mistake, bullies and merchants of fear and peddlers of lies are threatening the very foundation of our country.” Sadly but predicably, he went on to suggest that requiring voter IDs would mean returning people to slavery.
But the fact is that the U.S. is an outlier among the world’s democracies in not requiring voter ID. Of the 47 countries in Europe today, 46 of them currently require government-issued photo IDs to vote. The odd man out is the United Kingdom, in which Northern Ireland and many localities require voter IDs, but the requirement is not nationwide. The British Parliament, however, is considering a nationwide requirement, so very soon all 47 European countries will likely have adopted this common-sense policy.
When it comes to absentee voting, we Americans, accustomed as we are to very loose rules, are often shocked to learn that 35 of the 47 European countries—including France, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, and Sweden—don’t allow absentee voting for citizens living in country. Another ten European countries—including England, Ireland, Denmark, Portugal, and Spain—allow absentee voting, but require voters to show up in person and present a photo ID to pick up their ballots. It isn’t like in the U.S., where a person can say he’s going to be out of town and have a ballot mailed to him.
England used to have absentee voting rules similar to ours in the U.S. But in 2004, in the city of Birmingham, officials uncovered a massive vote fraud scheme in the city council races. The six winning Labor candidates had fraudulently acquired about 40,000 absentee votes, mainly from Muslim areas of the city. As a result, England ended the practice of mailing out absentee ballots and required voters to pick up their ballots in person with a photo ID.
Up until 1975, France also had loose absentee voting rules. But when massive vote fraud was discovered on the island of Corsica—where hundreds of thousands of dead people were found to be voting and even larger-scale vote-buying operations were occurring—France banned absentee voting altogether.
On the topic of buying votes, I should point out that we in the U.S. did not always have secret ballots. It wasn’t until 1880 that the first state adopted the secret ballot, and the last state to adopt it was South Carolina in 1950. Perhaps surprisingly, when secret ballots were adopted, the percentage of people voting fell by about twelve percent. Why was that? Prior to the adoption of the secret ballot, lots of people would get paid for voting. In those days, people voted by placing pieces of colored paper in the ballot box, with different colors representing different parties. Party officials would be present to observe what color paper each voter put into the box, and depending on the color, the voter would often get paid. Secret ballots put an end to this practice.
France learned in 1975 that the use of absentee ballots led to the same practice—it allowed third parties to know how people voted and pay them for voting a certain way. This same problem is now proliferating in the U.S. in the form of “ballot harvesting,” the increasingly common practice where party functionaries distribute and collect ballots.
Defenders of our current voting rules point out that in lieu of absentee voting, some European countries allow “proxy voting,” whereby one person can designate another to vote for him. And while it is true that eight of the 47 European countries allow proxy voting—meaning that 39 do not—there are strict requirements. In five of the eight countries—Belgium, England, Monaco, Poland, and Sweden—proxy voting is limited to those with a disability or an illness or who are out of the country. In Poland, it also requires the approval of the local mayor, and in Monaco the approval of the general secretariat. In France and the Netherlands, proxy voting has to be arranged through a notary public. Switzerland is the only country in Europe with a relatively liberal proxy voting policy, requiring only a signature match.
How about our neighbors, Canada and Mexico? Canada requires a photo ID to vote. If a voter shows up at the polls without an ID, he is allowed to vote only if he declares who he is in writing and if there is someone working at the polling station who can personally verify his identity.
Mexico has had a long history of election fraud. Partly because its leaders were concerned about a drop in foreign investment if it wasn’t perceived to be a legitimate democracy, Mexico recently instituted strict reforms. Voters must present a biometric ID—an ID with not only a photo, but also a thumb print. Voters also have indelible ink applied to their thumbs, preventing them from voting more than once. And absentee voting is prohibited, even for people living outside the country.
Those who oppose election integrity reform here in the U.S. often condemn it as a means of “voter suppression.” But in Mexico, the percent of people voting rose from 59 percent before the reforms to 68 percent after. It turned out that Mexicans were more, not less, likely to vote when they had confidence that their votes mattered.
H.R. 1, the radical bill Democratic Party leaders have been pushing to adopt this year, would prohibit states from requiring voter ID and require states to allow permanent mail-in voting. And mail-in voting, I hardly need to point out, is even worse, in terms of vote fraud, than absentee voting. With absentee voting, a person at least has to request a ballot. With mail-in voting—as we saw in too many places in the 2020 election—ballots are simply mailed out to everyone. With loose absentee voting rules, a country is making itself vulnerable to vote fraud. With mail-in voting, a country is almost begging for vote fraud.
If the rhetoric we hear from the Left today is correct—if voter ID requirements and restrictions on absentee (or even mail-in) voting are un-democratic—then so are the countries of Europe and the rest of the developed world. But this is utter nonsense.
Those opposing common sense measures to ensure integrity in U.S. elections—measures such as those recommended by the bipartisan Carter-Baker Commission in 2005—are not motivated by a concern for democracy, but by partisan interests.’https://imprimis.hillsdale.edu/ensuring-election-integrity-anti-democratic/?utm_campaign=imprimis&utm_medium=email&_hsmi=182212930&_hsenc=p2ANqtz-8-oiRBN0Vykw1B9dlrIYbtAK_LAmaky9raOG5YdLgk5xMLiozqnRM1g8YlXKP9fOTmlK8bzIfCnFdRYYWxqEVGHReQTw&utm_content=182212930&utm_source=hs_email
Yes, the Republicans won Virginia’s governorship but at the same time the GOP has divided their voting block into identity groups. Therefore, ‘The Left must go to bed most nights thanking its lucky stars for the Republican Party. If it weren’t for some misguided GOP leaders, the Democratic Party would probably be well on its way to irrelevance in 2022.
But instead of watching the other side pack its bags for the minority after last Tuesday’s drubbing, Republicans have decided to leave the door open a crack — first by voting for another $1.2 trillion dollars in unnecessary spending, and now by throwing out the welcome mat to the one cause (apart from CRT) that’s swung parents to the GOP’s side: LGBT radicalism.
It’s a movie, unfortunately, that conservatives have seen before. Just when the GOP starts to draw a sharp contrast with the Left, moderate Republicans decide to shoot the party in the foot. Until late Friday, Democrats were about to go over the cliff with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) leading the parade after a humiliating showing in Virginia, New Jersey, and school board races across the country. But now, thanks to some chronic tone-deafness inside the party, there are some who want to take the baton from AOC.
Barely five days after Republicans swept Virginia, RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel has decided to embrace the very wokeness parents were trying to defeat in places like Loudoun County. “Tonight,” she said to guests at the Spirit of Lincoln Gala, “we are launching our first-ever RNC Pride Coalition.”
The Log Cabin Republicans, she insisted, “don’t just share our vision for a free, secure, and prosperous America — they enrich it by adding unique perspectives to our party and recruiting even more diverse candidates and supporters to join our cause.“‘https://www.prophecynewswatch.com/article.cfm?recent_news_id=5066
Even the Marxist Left get it right sometimes.
‘Our country is divided. Many say it is more divided than any time since the Civil War. Most of you readers live here, so this is no surprise to you. Many articles and even whole books have been written in the last decade on the division in the United States, but the present situation provoked some to write in the last month on the subject. The following paragraph represents writing in the last month on severe division in America.
The City Journal published an article by Andrew Klavan, titled, “At the Heart of Our Divisions.” Klavan, part of Ben Shapiro’s Daily Wire, tries to explain the division as others have. Newsweek reports that a “Majority of Trump Voters Want to Split the Nation Into ‘Red’ and ‘Blue’ Halves.” The Las Vegas Sun reported it this way:
A new political poll offers an alarming look at the state of American unity and our population’s respect for some of the nation’s core values.
The poll, conducted by the University of Virginia’s nonprofit Center for Politics, shows that 52% of respondents who voted for former President Donald Trump were in favor of splitting the country into red and blue states, while 41% of voters for President Joe Biden agree with the idea. More than 2,000 voters participated in the poll, nearly equally divided between those supporting Trump and Biden.
Ed Kilgore at The Intelligencer, part of New York Magazine, writes, “No, We Can’t Get a National Divorce There’s growing sentiment for secession, particularly on the right. It should be rejected.” At Substack, Claremont senior fellow David Reaboi writes, “National Divorce Is Expensive, But It’s Worth Every Penny.” Karol Markowicz writes at the New York Post, “Sorry, but a national split up just won’t work.” Steven Malanga at the City Journal writes, “The New Secession Movement.” Conservative commentator Rich Lowry writes at Politico of all places, “A Surprising Share of Americans Wants to Break Up the Country. Here’s Why They’re Wrong.” Dan Rodricks writes at the Baltimore Sun, “Civil war unlikely, but the nation’s present course could still be disastrous.” Most of these were written in the last week, and there are more.
Okay, so there’s division. Everyone can agree with that. Putin of Russia and Xi of China smile. Why though? I’ve read or heard a lot of different reasons: media, tribalism, the education system, the deep state, and more. Klavan lists reasons in the first paragraph of his post. Those are typical, whole books written about them, but I believe these are surface reasons, I would call, non-worldview reasons, that are superficial and don’t dig deep enough.
My take on the acute and bitter division between states, people, and parties in the United States, I want to give credit, corresponds to something Nancy Pearcey writes about in her book, Total Truth. She explains a division portrayed by the lower and upper stories of a building or house with the lower story being “facts” and the upper story being “values.” Today you hear a lot about facts in the media, news, and schools. This is the “science is real” at the top of the leftist value sign. In this upper and lower story bifurcation, values are probably not what you think they are. Let me explain.
God is One. Truth, which proceeds from God, is also one. Pearcey’s proposition is “total truth,” the title of her book. There are not two stories that treat facts different than values, where values are constructed, personal and subjective. You can’t really know these with certainty. No, with God His natural laws, facts or science, are no different than moral laws. If you fall from the edge of a cliff, gravity sends you down to destruction. Breaking moral laws also destroys. Worse even. God is the Author of both.
Premoderns took a transcendent view of the world. Truth, goodness, and beauty, the transcendentals, all related to God. God transcending the world is the basis of the transcendentals. He’s not part of the world. He created it and having created it, He is separate from it. As James 1 says, that with God there is no shadow of turning. God is holy. He is Self-existent and immutable. Nothing affects Him. All meaning comes from God, so truth, goodness, and beauty, the transcendentals, are objective.
This world is God’s world. Even if someone doesn’t believe in God, they are living in His world. This is reality. The division breaks down into those who live in reality, recognition that this world functions according to laws according to which everyone must live, even if they reject the God of the Bible, and then those who don’t live in reality.
The ones not living in reality, which are one side of the division in the United States, see the top story, values, how they want to see them. It’s one reason they are called “values,” and not “morals” or “moral laws.” Using “values” is using language with power. Incidentally, part of critical theory is perfecting this language for use in reconstructing reality.
Looking at the world like two sides of the campus, religion, art, etc. on one side and then science, math, and engineering on the other, the blue part of the country thinks they can assign their own meaning on one side of the campus. They ultimately don’t want God in charge. They don’t want objective values that clash with what they want, so they make up their own and dismiss God or make up their own god that approves of their values. This is the basis for the Democrat party booing God when voting on their political platform in 2012. This is also how they justify killing babies.
The truth is that the blue states, people, etc. now assign their own meaning to science as well. They call it science like hanging out a shingle, pulling science out of a Cracker Jack box. Their subjectivity on the upper story, think of it as bad plumbing, has burst through into the lower story like a broken pipe. That side can’t tell you that a girl is a girl. This is one reason why many don’t want to go to college in this country anymore. They know it’s a racket that is not living in reality.
One side of the division in the country wants the nation to be called like it really is. Borders are representative of this. You can’t be a nation when you don’t protect, not just protect — how about acknowledge that you have a border. Whatever one thinks about the virus and masks and the vaccination, it’s understandable why a big chunk of the country doesn’t trust authority on this. I’m not going to even get into what Fauci has said. He doesn’t speak science and this is demonstrative on multiple occasions.
The government, the media that supports it, and now even corporations are all in on the lies. They allot whatever meaning they want and they expect you to receive it. If you don’t, now they’ll even prosecute you. They’ll fire you. If you don’t put on their particular pin, which supports whatever lie that they deem correct, you might lose your job.
I believe most churches too have succumbed to the two stories I’ve described. They put beauty, music, dress in the personal, the subjective, the top story. They capitulate on basic doctrine and practice to accommodate for popularity and numbers. Their targets see the world according to the lie of these two stories. They know it and they concede to it. This does not bode well for the country. Even if the nation does split into two parts, what will happen to the red side when the churches have taken the same basic approach to truth? This is the most fundamental aspect of worldliness in churches today.
Another metaphor to demonstrate what the division of truth, the two story view, does to the country is a rudderless ship. The country has no certain belief to hold it together or to give it direction. It moves according to whatever current or wind produced by the world, like a float or a bob on an aimless sea. The force of popularity, what scripture would call lust, the combined desires of the population, decides what is it’s truth, it’s goodness, and it’s beauty, whatever each of these is in their own eyes.
Everything above explains the division in the country. Maybe the next question is, what is the solution to this division? That, my friend, is much more difficult.’https://kentbrandenburg.com/2021/10/10/what-is-the-primary-cause-of-division-in-the-united-states/
Who loves America?! Perhaps, we should ask; “What recent President loves America?”
‘You’d think it’d be reasonable to assume that, when in office, all presidents loved America. Raised hearing tales of such greats as George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, and Teddy Roosevelt, I certainly thought so. Unfortunately, that doesn’t seem to be the case in the modern era.
Other than Trump, the last one to certainly love America was Reagan. From his days as a young adult to his last days in office, he was a striver that constantly worked to better America. In his youth, he testified in HUAC, helping that body find out which Americans were communists. Later, as president, he fought for America with all his might.
But then came a long period of darkness. HW might have loved America in his youth, but, by the time he was president, it would have been hard to say that he truly believed in American exceptionalism. When given an opportunity to have Yeltsin denounce communism once and for all, as Dianna West recounts in American Betrayal, he refused to do so; he felt uncomfortable with the whole situation. Similarly, he involved us abroad without completing the job, raised taxes, and didn’t even begin to fight the culture war. Frankly, it’d be hard to say he remained a patriot by the time he entered office, much less left it.
Then came Clinton. He didn’t, and still doesn’t, care about anything but power and pleasure. Hence why he shifted in the wind, adjusting his policies to remain popular, while also raping women and having sexual relations with an intern in the Oval Office. Clinton put his personal gratification over the majesty of the state, there’s no way he loved the country. Plus, he signed NAFTA, which was devastating to the American worker.
Then came George W Bush. He let illegals flood into the country, squandered our blood and treasure abroad, and let China rise at a breakneck pace. Worst of all, he kept sending more and more troops to Iraq and Afghanistan, wasting their lives in “nation-building” projects in a region stuck in the Dark Ages. He valued the lives of Iraqis and Afghanis over the lives of US soldiers, valued letting in illegals over protecting American sovereignty, how could he be said to love America?
Then there was Obama, the worst of all. His policies, from weakness abroad to socialism at home, proved devastating to America. Worse yet, they were certainly rooted in a profound dislike of the American system and American exceptionalism. While there might be some who disagree with me about the others, hopefully every conservative can agree that Obama didn’t love America.
But after all that we finally got Trump. After years upon years of presidents squandering our power and treasure, wasting the lives of soldiers and ruining the lives of workers, helping China and Iraq rise while letting America crumble, we finally got a president that did everything he could to make America a better place. Unlike HW he cut taxes. Unlike Clinton he put America above himself. Unlike GW he didn’t send troops to die for no apparent reason. And, unlike Obama, he made America stronger, not weaker. Trump truly loved America.
Biden is a dolt. It’s impossible to know what he thinks because he doesn’t think about anything except what pudding he’s having for dinner.’https://genzconservative.com/trump-loved-america/?utm_source=mailpoet&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=occupied-america-racist-anti-racism-and-the-contradictions-of-american-life_199
I encourage you to listen to Vivek’s whole speech on this subject and then share. Perhaps what he says will WAKE UP that Woke friend!
The following links will take you to a couple of videos worth a watch by a conservative. The Left is out to destroy life as we once knew it. This means a change for both those conservatives who identify as born again Christians and those conservatives who do not.
‘They don’t want you to think critically, they don’t want you to read and now they are removing books they deem “hate speech”. How long until the Constitution and Declaration of Independence are ruled hate speech or terrorist manifestos?’
‘After some noise was made on social media about possible techniques deployed by the Coca-Cola company in regards to their sensitivity training for employees, Jessie Jane Duff, Paris Dennard and Newsmax TV’s John Bachman discuss. – via John Bachman Now, weekdays at 12PM ET on Newsmax TV’
‘Senator Mitch McConnell, the shameful member of the Ancient Infamous Order of Judas Iscariot (AIOJI), revealed his true calling—traitor, whose main claim to fame is backstabbing. He confirmed to all that he is one of the oldest and most dangerous of the Swamp Creatures. He, Mitt Romney, Liz Chaney, and others (members of the same club) seem to be desirous, determined, and dedicated destruction of the GOP. No weeping here since I left the party decades ago because they were so similar to the Democrats. It is not healthy for our republic to have two political parties taking almost the same positions. The difference is only in the degree.
Since the AIOJI membership requirements are embarrassingly low, it is easy for shameless politicians to be accepted. I understand that membership is automatic for cutthroats, child molesters, traitors, turncoats, and terrorists. Those on the left are associate members without applying for membership. Any Republican or Democrat who votes for Trump’s impeachment easily and quickly qualifies for membership in the Judas Order with the entrance fee waived.
I assume all self-respecting decent people will shun such reprobates without fear of being labeled self-righteous.
RINOs have survived by merely being less offensive, less objectionable, and less obnoxious to ordinary people. While they are against abortion up to delivery, they are not against abortion. And they sure won’t fight about it. I think killing innocent babies is worth fighting about. RINOs and some Democrats agree that abortion may be worth getting mad and stamping your feet, and perhaps even holding your breath since aborted babies lose their right to breathe. But, one can make too much of a losing issue, we are told. Killing babies is not worth losing an election or causing the opposition to lose face. And Democrats can always be expected to push the Planned Parenthood agenda.
Under Biden and what’s-her-name, we can expect many more abortions (even internationally) with taxpayers financing them through taxes. There is no question about this administration’s leaders being card-carrying members of the Judas Order.
RINOs are proud to claim a pro-family position; however, they refuse to take a clear-cut position on same-sex “marriage” (the radicals get indignant when I put quotes around marriage, but they’ll get over it, and if not, who cares). When forced by pushy conservatives to be more explicit, the soft Republicans suggest that a long-term homosexual relationship is better than hundreds of one-night-stands. That statement is wrong on its face, but most homosexuals in a “long-time relationship” reserve the right to reserve one or two nights a week for “extracurricular activities” with the boys at the local bathhouse. The LGBTQ crowd is too dumb or too dishonest to admit that fact.
A fair, honest, and brave reporter asks, “Do you think homosexuality is evil under all circumstances?” I don’t know a reporter willing to ask that question, and I don’t know a politician who will answer in the affirmative. And none are willing to use the correct and biblical term sodomy. My Dad would have called them gutless wonders.
As a member of the Indiana House of Representatives, I used biblical terms such as sodomy, but you’ll note that I am no longer a member of that august body.
If you think Trump was soft on perversion (and he was), wait until the new administration gets into high gear. Any “loving” relationship will be legal and acceptable, like maybe polygamy, polyandry, polyamory, promiscuity, or perversion or even a “loving” relationship with your favorite goat could be permitted with the caveat that no force is ever used. Radicals tell us their perverted, permissive, and progressive position is realistic since there is no recognized, reasonable, and reliable standard upon which such moral decisions can be made.
Well, there is a standard, and it starts with an uppercase B.
Soft Republicans are willing to vote against men who pretend to be women; however, the reason is usually pragmatic—the cost of remodeling all the restrooms, the confusion, etc. But they never opine that it is a mental aberration for a man, with all the right physical equipment, to pretend to be a female. Moreover, most politicians refuse to admit that it is insane to expect taxpayers to pay for surgery to chop off healthy and perfectly working organs that suggest maleness.
There are already indications that children who have surgery and get gender-changing hormones realize they have been irreparably damaged and mutilated. Moreover, they have significant bouts with suicidal feelings. When this tragedy becomes common, irrefutable knowledge (as it already is with educated people), it will be interesting to watch the proponents of sexual mutilation defend their quasi acceptance of modern medicine. It is reminiscent of witch-doctors with beating drums around a jungle campfire, shaking their gourds as they ply their cures consisting of ground chicken bones, monkey livers, and hippopotamus blood—with a pinch of garlic.
The same “doctors” who defend gender-changing are the same crowd as physicians who support lobotomies, shock treatment, leeches, and bleeding. But not to worry, they are board-certified.
With the Biden team in place, we will see a massive effort to continue making race the center, the cause, and the culmination of everything. Biden’s lineage is Irish and French, but he may declare himself black and trace his Irish-French lineage to imaginary Irish Hottentots from present-day Cape Province, South Africa. Or better yet, he might trace his linage to France via the Ivory Coast where he could claim a direct linkage to slavery! Wow, what credentials.
We have seen many attempts in America where history has been rewritten to make all Blacks feel good about themselves. It is forbidden to laugh when we are told that Beethoven was black, King George III’s wife was black, and that the Pharaohs of Egypt were black, thereby giving Blacks credit for one of the most ancient empires on earth.
There is a kernel of truth to the black Pharaohs’ myth, but it does not encourage black superiority when the truth is revealed. Egypt was founded in 3300 B.C. and held black Nubia as a colony; however, in the eighth century B.C., the Nubians marched about 700 miles north to Thebes (Egypt’s religious center) and took control. However, Egypt was already well over 2000 years old, an ancient empire. The Blacks of Nubia ruled Egypt for sixty years under five “black pharaohs.” The black rule did not add to the empire; instead, it began to collapse. This is documented by The Children of Ra: Artistic, Historical, and Genetic Evidence for Ancient White Egypt, which supports the contention that Egypt’s founders were of European racial stock.
The Biden team has committed itself to pay reparations to living Blacks for more than 200 years of slavery even though all Blacks don’t have a slave ancestor; moreover, many Blacks are wealthy; furthermore, none of us living today have any culpability in the slavery issue. Here is one good-old-boy who has no guilt for slavery or the mistreatment of anyone, anywhere, at any time. None. I’m embarrassed about slavery and embarrassed that some professing Christians were slave-owners, but I have no guilt.
Furthermore, let me suggest if the Biden-Harris administration promotes the lunatic lurch to the left, especially with these issues dealt with here, it will universally anger, antagonize, and alienate American taxpayers. Consequently, Americans will simply refuse to fund the shocking, shameful, and senseless government programs. The tax coffers will become empty as Biden’s head.
Some say the Ancient Infamous Order of Judas Iscariot morphed into the Deplorable and Disgraceful Order of Benedict Arnold, but such people have only a cursory acquaintance with history. The AIOJI is still viable, vainglorious, if not a visible reality. Readers of the daily news see this every day as AIOJI members strut through Congress’ hallowed halls.
I believe McConnell, Romney, Biden, Harris, et al., get their instructions from the same source Judas Iscariot did.
Interestingly, when Judas was proved to be a traitor, he went out and hanged himself. Now, that is a little extreme, although it would have the same effect of being a benefit to society. I’ll be satisfied if the members of the Ancient Infamous Order of Judas Iscariot simply resign. If not, then sane voters should take care of that at the next election.
‘A race up in New Hampshire will show whether the Stupid Party, as the Republican establishment is so deservedly called, is going to get smart now. On Saturday, the New Hampshire Republican state committee will either re-elect Steven Stepanek as chairman of the New Hampshire Republican Party, or elect Keith Hanson. It’s a contest over whether the Republican Party in New Hampshire will remain the party of Mitch McConnell, i.e., cowardice and me-tooism, or whether it will genuinely offer a choice to voters and a home for people who are genuinely alarmed at the Leftist establishment’s contempt for civil liberties.
“There is a concerted effort, Keith Hanson told me, “to silence conservatives on the state level, and I stand in direct challenge to the initiatives to push the party to the left in an effort to be liked by progressive Democrats,” of whom, Hanson added, the present New Hampshire Republican leaders are “terrified.”
I have direct experience of this, and a keen interest in this race, because back in October 2019, when he was the chairman of the Sullivan County Republican Party in New Hampshire, Hanson invited me to come to the state and speak to his group, and all hell broke loose. What happened as a result of his invitation showed in microcosm how the far Left has gained control of the political process in America, while Republican leaders are generally spineless accommodationists who fold at the least sign of disapproval from Democrats.
My appearance led to what has now become the usual firestorm that ensues whenever someone who challenges the prevailing Leftist narrative speaks anywhere. I was defamed in the local media by Raymond Buckley, chair of the New Hampshire Democratic Party, as a “white supremacist”; Buckley had apparently confused me with Richard Spencer, and refused to retract when repeatedly asked to do so. Democrat State Senator Martha Hennessey, imitating the Nazi Brownshirts in the early 1930s, jumped on and led a smear campaign on Twitter to get me canceled. Two venues caved in to this and canceled the event, which ultimately took place at a third. Here is the video. You can see for yourself if it’s full of “hate.”
Buckley is a liar and Hennessey is a fascist, so neither should be in positions of public service, but they’re typical in the Democrat Party these days. What was far worse was the cowardly response on the Republican side. Instead of investigating the false charges being made about me, discovering I wasn’t really any of the things that were being said, and standing up for the freedom of speech, the New Hampshire Republicans were ready to kowtow and do everything the Democrats wanted.’ https://www.jihadwatch.org/2021/01/in-new-hampshire-a-trump-republican-squares-off-against-the-gop-establishment?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=the_2021_01_22_jihad_watch_daily_digest&utm_term=2021-01-22
