Bethel Church, COVID-19, & Acts 19: 13-15

When I read about Bethel Church in Redding, CA I think of Acts 19:13-15 Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth.
14 And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the priests, which did so.
15 And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?

Well, the Coronavirus situation and ‘Bethel Church, the controversial megachurch in Redding, California, that also runs a school of supernatural ministry, suspended their “faith healing” ministry at local hospitals where they are known to lay hands on the sick, due to the new coronavirus.

Australian Trans Activists Pressure Health Minister

This is an email sent out by Family Voice Australia concerning the trans and gender hype here in Australia.

‘Trans activists are putting pressure on Health Minister Greg Hunt not to pursue a national inquiry. That’s despite over 200 doctors last year signing a petition urging him to hold an inquiry into the risky medical treatment of young people who believe they were born in the wrong body.

“We write as Australian doctors to support Professor John Whitehall’s call for a formal Parliamentary Inquiry into ‘the rapid rise of childhood gender dysphoria in Australia and the lack of scientific basis for current medical treatment,’” the doctors wrote.

“We appeal to you to establish a Parliamentary Inquiry into this deeply troubling matter, where parents, teachers and lawyers as well as doctors and others may bring their concerns to our elected representatives for thorough consideration,” the letter goes on to say.

There have been claims that a national inquiry would be “dangerous”. But the real danger lies in not applying proper scrutiny to experimental treatments on children and teenagers which have life-changing consequences.

There has been an explosion in the number of teenagers being treated for gender dysphoria.  An inquiry into the treatments they are being subjected to is overdue.

The LGBTQ+ Crowd has Privilege

Today there is so-called ‘white privilege’ ‘white supremacy’ and other non-nonsensical terms that have popped up in the last ten or so years. These names are put on people to make them ‘feel’ bad and have some sort of disdain for being WHITE!

However, if one is LBGTQ+ that’s different. One can be any colour if they are in the LBGTQ+ crowd. Now, this article isn’t a hate article against these people but a seeking to get my head around all this. If these people are just like the ‘rest’ of us why do they receive certain privileges? For instance, ‘The Queeromattic Employee Resource Group, Automattic’s LGBTQ+ internal organization, is proud to announce a scholarship for LGBTQ+ WordPress Community members who need financial support to attend a WordCamp flagship event for the first time.

As I said earlier this is not a hate article but the Word of God is plain on the matter.            1 Corinthians 6:9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Lewiston, ME, Somalians, & Democrats

I have never been to Lewiston, ME and hopefully never will. This is a frightful story concerning Democrats, Somalians and Lewiston politics .

‘After returning to Lewiston several years ago, I was shocked to hear firsthand account after firsthand account of violence, theft, destruction of property, etc. committed by roving gangs of immigrant boys, gang bullying episodes–swept under the carpet by administrations–in all pubic schools to the point that parents have taken their kids out of schools, and much more.’

The bullies, and Safiya herself, were and still are the top officers of the Lewiston Democratic Party, as well as local elected officials. When I found out about this bullying, my first action was to ask the victim–who was then in the hospital–if it was true. He told me it was, and gave me the recordings. Personally, I believe murder of the unborn is a spiritual issue. The Toilet Paper Saga Continues

Here’s more news on the toilet paper ordeal here in Australia. The other day we received an email from the CEO of Woolies and today it is Coles CEO. He wrote ‘As you may have seen, the past few days have been challenging for some customers with shortages of Coles mailselected items, in particular toilet rolls! For which I apologise.

This is due to increased purchases of everyday items by some customers brought about, in part, by an international media & social media frenzy – which then causes other customers to lose confidence in the system and then buy more themselves. Australia has an outstanding supply chain and most of our products are sourced from Australia including toilet paper.

We’re working to re-stock shelves every day to meet demand, and we have agreements in place to increase production of everyday items in Australia if the need arises. We have increased the number of team members in our stores and our suppliers are doing the same.

However, in the short term, we have reluctantly chosen to introduce a temporary 4 pack limit on toilet paper to ensure the elderly and those groups at highest risk can still access the everyday products they need, and to reduce likelihood of bulk purchasing which then appear on the internet at a price premium.

I understand the average 4 person family needs around 20 rolls of toilet paper per toilet paper-2588827_1920fortnight, and larger packs contain around 30 rolls meaning 4 packs would total 120 rolls – enough for around 12 weeks.

We appreciate the understanding and patience of our customers who miss out, and our hardworking suppliers and team members who are doing their best to ensure we are helping all customers.

We appreciate your business and I know that security of grocery supply is a key concern for all Australians. Through the bushfires I also know that Australia is at its best when we all come together to help each other.’

Isn’t it good the big grocery outlets are looking out for us? Oh, when you come to visit bring your own toilet paper!

Dwight L. Moody on Finding Contentment

‘For a long time professional contentment escaped me. Despite what others might consider to be a successful career, I always felt like an underachiever whose main talent was disappointing the people in my life. The choices I had made in the past, my lackadaisical approach to life, and, as one of my bosses told me, my propensity to get by on my “good looks and charm” plagued me. I couldn’t help but think that I had sabotaged my professional life to such an extent that there was no salvaging it.
After a lot of soul-searching, some great advice from my wife, my executive coach, and my friends, I came to realize that my discontentment with my career wasn’t rooted in the past, but the present. While decisions have consequences, I came to realize that I was not defined by missed experiences and bad choices. Perhaps the more profound realization was that I was not defined by my achievements, either.
Our successes and failures say surprisingly little about who we are. Much can be achieved apart from God. Whether we look at those who came together at the Tower of Babel to use their abilities to make a name for themselves, to the Pharaoh who knew not Joseph who built an empire on the backs of the bruised, or to modern-day success stories that have no place for God, it seems clear that not all we are capable of accomplishing is in line with the will of God.’

Instead, if we want to find contentment, we would do well to learn a lesson from D.L. Moody who wrote, “I am sure the happiest days of my life have been when I have tried to do the will of God as far as I know it to do….” While Moody had great success in ministry and grew to prominence, he seems not to have been obsessed with achievement or notoriety. He was not seeking after a career.
Moody understood that, left to his own agendas and wisdom, he would never be content. There would always be reason for self-doubt and second-guessing. He could never be sure, when seeking to forge a path apart from God, that he was not missing out on something greater that he could have imagined. In looking back on his ministry, it does not seem to me that Moody would prove its worth by pointing to the 1,000,000+ people he reached with the gospel, the numerous students he helped to train, or the pastors he encouraged. Rather, he would have looked back on a life lived doing “the will of God as far as I know it to do,” and been content even if he had not reached a single soul.
Lord, give us the courage to set our agendas and ambitions aside to do Your will as far as we know it to do that we might experience all that You have for us rather than settling for all that we can imagine. ‘Magistrate Suzette Coates adjourned the case for several weeks to give the prosecution time to make a written submission.

“This is quite a significant issue,” she told the court.

“It’s not something that should be considered lightly.”

NOTE, the Magistrate said this nonsense was a ‘significant issue’ and that she needed ‘to properly consider it’ and that it was not an issue ‘that should be considered lightly’!

What a dismal situation in which we find ourselves. In NSW those who believe the life of the unborn are important are NOT allowed to protest the murder of the unborn but a man who believes the world is in a crisis due to coal and shuts down the traffic of an entire street in protest has a magistrate who sees his protest as a SIGNIFICANT ISSUE! It is too often these same people have a hard time in believing the Book of Genesis is real history!

White Privilege, ISU & Diversity in Art

Is there really such a thing as ‘white privilege’!?  I have been white all my life and never knew I held a certain privilege due to my skin colour. Now, that I know that I have this privilege I am being criticized for having it! Hmm. Well, in my home state ‘A new course that will take place at Iowa State will discuss diversity, social justice and culture and how it all can be expressed through art.

This course, titled “Diversity in Art,” is a one-credit art course that will meet the U.S. Diversity requirement for students that need it.’

‘This discussion-based course will not have any artwork assignments. Students have to be willing to think, talk and challenge themselves in order to develop visual analysis skills.

“We are trying to do it from a lens of current events, but because of that, it also brings historical social structures that marginalize people,” said Nancy Gebhart, graduate Iowa State Gender Studies Picture1student of education and graduate teaching assistant for the Women’s and Gender Studies Department. “We talk about white privilege and try to emphasize critical whiteness and how we represent art through storytelling.
