This green energy deal is simply the pagan Gaia religion. Guess who they want to win?

However, ‘In a refreshingly honest article in the Boston Review, David McDermott Hughes confirms something that we energy evangelists have been saying for some time: Environmentalists do not simply want people to transition to “green energy,” they want humanity put on energy rationing, for the good of the planet. Now, apparently, they’ve also decided that we need to add intermittent fasting to our energy diet because, gosh darnit, electricity in developed countries like the United States is just too darn reliable for our own good! It needs to go out once in a while, or, well, the planet is doomed.

According to Hughes, “For those seriously concerned about climate change, the inverse—the demand for electrical continuity—may be the real problem.” Yes, you read that right, the desire to have electricity available 24/7 is the cause of our global climate catastrophe, and we need to learn to live with intermittent energy like the happy campers of Zimbabwe and Puerto Rico which “provide models for what we might call pause-full electricity.”
And who is first on the new electricity diet? Why, you are, you single-family home-dwelling environmental heretic. Hughes explains that “…each household demanding continuous electricity marginally exacerbates the climate crisis. Perhaps, then, it is critical that we not store energy for these houses. At least, we should not do so in a way that hobbles the transition away from fossil fuels. We ought to consider waiting a few years for storage—enduring much more than six hours of downtime every year—for the sake of transitioning more rapidly away from fossil fuels.”
Surely you can handle a “few years” of intermittent blackouts and brownouts, right, suburbanites?
This energy-rationing agenda has been hidden, heretofore, by a huge raft of bogus promises that would make the switch to renewables easy. Batteries, we were told, will adapt so fast that we can go ahead and just build out wind and solar power, while letting conventional power plants wither and die, and everybody will have their cake and eat it too! Unfortunately, the reality of battery storage limitations is just too obvious to people who see, day in and day out, the reality of batteries: they aren’t getting that much stronger over time. As Mark Mills, of the Manhattan Institute points out (and do read the whole thing!):
About 60 pounds of batteries are needed to store the energy equivalent of one pound of hydrocarbons.
At least 100 pounds of materials are mined, moved and processed for every pound of battery fabricated.
Storing the energy equivalent of one barrel of oil, which weighs 300 pounds, requires 20,000 pounds of Tesla batteries ($200,000 worth).
Carrying the energy equivalent of the aviation fuel used by an aircraft flying to Asia would require $60 million worth of Tesla-type batteries weighing five times more than that aircraft.
And even Hughes now admits that, well, making batteries is environmentally destructive, and environmentalists don’t want you doing that, even if you can. After all, batteries are just not woke:
Lithium-ion batteries are moving into position to overcome that constraint, but they create problems of their own. Like most form of mining, lithium extraction produces toxins—imposed, on this case, on indigenous down-winders in Chile. Also like mining, the lithium trade concentrates power and wealth in the hands of few, corporations. Sometimes called “bottlenecking,” this process converts a resource too plentiful for profit—like sunlight—into a scarce and lucrative commodity. Not even environmental savior Elon Musk is safe from abuse, because, it seems, Tesla “seems on track to gain a controlling share of any smart grid connected to electric vehicles; its Powerwall battery is out-competing less toxic technologies, and it could eventually dovetail with software known as “demand response.”
Oh My God. You mean, Elon Musk is a – gasp – businessman? Perish forbid!
The moral of this story is, when the “green” energy, “green economy,” “green new deal” types tell you that all they really want is for you to have “greener” energy, what they mean is that they want you to have less. Less quantity, less reliability, less affordability, and less consumer flexibility. And you can take that to the ballot box.’https://papundits.wordpress.com/2020/11/02/reliable-electricity-bah-humbug/
When the Marxist Left openly protest a politician you know that politician is doing something right. Several weeks ago now ‘One woman has been charged and 11 others have been fined at a Sydney rally organised by Marxist group Socialist Alternative against Mark Latham’s proposed Education Legislation Amendment (Parental Rights) bill.

The protest was called under the banner of “Community Action for Rainbow Rights” (CARR) and aimed to “kill” Latham’s proposed bill that would return issues such as transexuality and homosexuality to the responsibility of parents rather than teachers. The event was prohibited by the NSW Supreme Court on COVID grounds and perhaps as a result had what must have been a disappointingly small turnout. Of the 500 people who said they were attending online barely 150 showed (if that).
As was previously reported by The Unshackled “Community Action for Rainbow Rights” is a re-branding of a previous campaign group known as “Community Action Against Homophobia” (CAAH). CAAH was originally formed in NSW in 1999, firstly to campaign for a lowering of the New South Wales age of consent laws for gay sex and secondly to shut down university campus meetings by a Catholic ministry group. CAAH was founded by members of the Democratic Socialist Party (a precursor to the Socialist Alliance) but over the years has been effectively taken over by their rivals in the “Socialist Alternative” group.
As was reported in the mainstream media the sole public spokesperson for the event was CARR Co-Convenor and Socialist Alternative activist April Holcombe (who was fined $1000 at the event). The Socialist Alternative magazine Red Flag also quoted Socialist Alternative organiser Eleanor Morley as another attendee, noting that she was also arrested and fined $1,000 at the protest. The Red Flag article was written by Josh Lees, another Socialist Alternative activist who alongside Holcombe appeared in court attempting to fight the ultimately successful NSW Police application for a ban on the protest going ahead (a ban the Marxists of course ignored). According to the University of Sydney student Newspaper Honi Soit another organiser was yet another Socialist Alternative activist in the form of Cat Rose (most famous for being charged for screaming obscenities at Fred Nile).
Holcombe was quoted at the rally calling Mark Latham a “filthy bigot”. April should wash out his mouth.
Also in the crowd was libertarian activist Chris De Bruyne who was attempting to film the event. He was quickly met with cries of “fascist scum off the streets” from the assembled Marxists proving yet again that a “fascist” is now almost anyone a Marxist disagrees with.
Greens MP Jenny Leong was also in attendance cheering on the open breach of the law. Considering that she recently invited Marxist activist Paddy Gibson to Parliament after a breaching a similar NSW Supreme court injunction and that she spoke only this week at a protest in favour of another Marxist currently facing charges for breaching COVID restrictions perhaps it wasn’t all that surprising that Jenny showed up at yet another Marxist meet-up. At this rate she’ll be rivalling her parliamentary Greens comrades Jamie Parker or David Shoebridge for extremist connections.
So a Marxist front group with a Marxist spokesperson backed up by a plethora of Marxist activists held an illegal rally against Mark Latham’s Bill proposing that parents rather than teachers should be able to decide what their children learn about sex and sexuality. How did the media cover it?
Exactly how you’d expect.
Rani Hayman of the ABC described April Holcombe as a “rally organiser” and the protesters as being “against an anti-transgender bill introduced to Parliament by One Nation’s Mark Latham”.
Georgina Mitchell of Fairfax described the protest as a “transgender rights rally” and April Holcombe as “protest organiser…a representative of Community Action for Rainbow Rights”.
Fergus Hunter also of Fairfax described April Holcombe as an “organiser” and the rally as being composed of “Transgender rights protesters”.
Anton Nilsson of NewsCorp described April Holcombe as a “LGBTQ activist” and the event as “A march for transgender rights”.
QNews (somewhat unsurprisingly) agreed, describing April Holcombe as a “protest organiser” and the event as “a rally against the Mark Latham anti-trans bill”.
Not one outlet thought to mention that April Holcombe is a member of the largest left wing extremist group in Australia. Socialist Alternative openly calls for the abolition of the police, the courts, parliament, private property, freedom of religion, freedom of speech, borders, capitalism and the idea of Australia itself. Yet not one outlet bothered to mention that they were the group behind the protest against Mark Latham, a democratically elected Member of Parliament. Not one outlet thought to mention that the “transgender rights” these protesters were marching for consist entirely of the right for people like them to have priority in teaching your children about sex and gender rather than you.
Mark Latham is annoying the worst people in Australia and costing them money in fines to boot. He must be doing something right.’https://www.theunshackled.net/rundown/marxist-march-against-mark-latham-smashed-by-nsw-police/
In South Australia a bill that prohibits even silent prayer outside an abortion clinic may be passed by November, 2020. ‘Silent prayer outside abortion clinics can be particularly harmful to women trying to access healthcare. The objects of the Health Care (Safe Access) Amendment Bill 2020 (SA) (‘the Bill’) would be completely undermined by an amendment that authorises silent prayer within a health access zone, by allowing anti-abortion activists to invade the privacy and threaten the wellbeing of patients seeking abortion care.’https://www.hrlc.org.au/news/2020/7/17/explainer-sas-health-access-zones-should-not-exempt-silent-prayer
Why do people pay more to go to private schools that promote or allow the same sinful lifestyles as do the lower cost government schools? For example ‘The student body president at Calvin University, a private Christian school affiliated with the Christian Reformed Church (CRC), has come out as gay.
Writing in The Chimes, Calvin’s student newspaper, Student Body President Claire Murashima wrote, “In the 102 years that Student Senate has existed, we’ve never had an openly gay student body president. It’s beyond time that the LGBTQ community is represented in the highest student leadership position at Calvin. I’m proud to be the first.”
Murashima also advocated for more LGBTQ representation at the school in Grand Rapids, Michigan, arguing that “Calvin’s heteronormative and relationship-focused culture” makes LGBTQ persons feel excluded. “Not seeing anyone who loves like us makes us feel like we don’t fully belong at Calvin,” Murashima wrote.
Officially, Calvin University and its denomination, the CRC, do not affirm LGBTQ relationships.
Calvin’s Student Code of Conduct prohibits sex outside of marriage. And according to Calvin Assistant Director of Media Relations Matt Kucinski, “The (CRC) and the university hold that human sexuality is a gift from God reserved for expression in the context of marriage between a man and a woman.”
Calvin also is a member of the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities, which affirms the historic Christian view of marriage in its employment policies and student academic program conduct codes.
Yet, Kucinski added that the CRC teaches that “orientation is not a sin” and that LGBT people “are created in God’s image and . . . should be treated with respect, grace, understanding and love.”
When asked about Murashima’s pro-LGBTQ message in a Calvin publication, Kucinkski responded: “The Chimes is a student publication which allows for the free expression of ideas, including ideas that may challenge the positions of the university. Because of our Christian faith, we do not fear ideas that may challenge biblical norms and Christian understanding.”
Murashima noted in her Chimes article that a survey conducted this fall by Calvin’s Student Senate, found that LGBTQ students comprise 7% of Calvin’s student body. There also is an LGBTQ student group at Calvin called SAGA (Sexuality And Gender Awareness).
Over the years, Calvin also has hosted groups on campus that advocate for LGBTQ rights.
For example, in 2012, Calvin sponsored a sold-out concert in its 5,000-seat Van Noord Arena featuring the group Fun.—an outspoken pro-LGBT band.
According to a Chimes article at the time, Fun. wanted to bring “marriage equality advocacy booths” to the concert, but Calvin opposed them. So instead, the band said they would donate a dollar for every ticket sold to the “futherment of gay rights in America.”
In 2015, Calvin welcomed Fun. frontman, Nate Ruess, back to campus for a solo performance.
A CRC church located just four miles from campus is also pushing the envelope when it comes to LGBTQ rights, as was noted in another recent article in The Chimes. Over the summer, Neland Avenue Christian Reformed Church, appointed a woman who’s in a same-sex marriage to serve as a deacon.
In a letter to congregants, the Neland Avenue CRC council denied that the appointment meant that the church officially affirms same-sex marriage. Instead, the council said the congregation is split on the issue and expressed hope that the church and its denomination could manage their differences.
Most of the comments posted to Murashima’s article expressed support for her decision to openly identify as gay.
“Thank you Claire for your courage and leadership! It gives me hope that your example will help change the CRC official position on homosexuality,” wrote someone named Jane Vander Meer.
Natasha Rulason wrote, “Thank you for your voice; it is so valid and so needed.” And Linda Naranjo-Huebl wrote, “What gracious courage, Claire! . . . May your truth go forth into the world and bear good fruit, bringing the light and love of God to dark places.”
However, a minority of others lamented that Christians were supporting something the Bible calls sin.
“So are none of the commenters grieved that a Christian university is now OK with people publicly identifying themselves by their sins, or are those comments just not being posted?” wrote Cheryl M. “This is a very sad look at where Calvin is today.”’https://julieroys.com/student-president-calvin-gay/?mc_cid=65c6ac5695&mc_eid=b13d34ad49
Jamess 2:23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.
I don’t think you would have caught Abraham at a BLM protest. However, ‘A group of Jewish Americans who showed up in solidarity of the Black Lives Matter movement in Philadelphia were taunted and assaulted by rioters, according to a video circulating on social media.
The protestors told the Jewish men to “get the f*** out of here” and one Jewish man was shoved by a protester as he tried to leave.
The man, who seems to be the one videoing the scene, calls the Jewish men “Amalek.”
“Amalek! Amalek! What y’all doing down here,” he says.
‘Amalekites’ are considered enemies to Jews within Jewish tradition.
One of the Jewish men responds that they were “just showing solidarity,” to which they received hostile responses to “get your white a** [on] home” and “Amalek ‘bout to get trashed, cuz.”’https://www.foreigndesknews.com/jewish-americans-supporting-blm-taunted-and-assaulted-by-protestors/
Nonconformist Matthew Henry states ‘This psalm is a solemn meditation on, and admiration of, the glory and greatness of God, of which we are all concerned to think highly and honourably. It begins and ends with the same acknowledgment of the transcendent excellency of God’s name.’
Psalm 8:1-9 O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens. 2 Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger. 3 ¶ When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;
4 What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? 5 For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour. 6 Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet: 7 All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field; 8 The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.
9 O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!
Did you know about the International Pronouns Day? Well, I didn’t until now so I am a little late in telling you about it. Sorry! It is or was October 20, 2020. What a joke. Who are those responsible for this momentous day? Of course, the LGBTQI people are!
‘Referring to people by the pronouns they determine for themselves is basic to human dignity. Being referred to by the wrong pronouns particularly affects transgender and gender nonconforming people. Together, we can transform society to celebrate people’s multiple, intersecting identities.’https://pronounsday.org/
Genesis 11:9 Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.
‘Growing numbers of people gathered on the fertile plain watered by the two great rivers. There, in the sunny warm climate, they could easily harvest multiple crops per year. And they could easily mold bricks and set them with tar and asphalt from the abundant pits. “So they said, ‘Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name (for ourselves), lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth’” (Genesis 11:4).
You know the history. The people were in direct disobedience to the Lord’s repeated command – a resistance to his divine will to venture forth and populate the whole earth. And they were caught up in their own humanistic pride. Jewish historian Josephus wrote regarding Babel in his Antiquities of the Jews. He described how Nimrod was the principal one to excite the post-flood world population in their rebellion against God and attempt of a humanist utopia. He noted in a 2,000-year-old statement, keenly insightful in its understanding of the antichrist spirit: “Nimrod … gradually changed the government into a tyranny, seeing no other way of turning man from the fear of God but by bringing them into a constant dependence upon its power” (Josephus: The Complete Works, Volume 40).
As we continue through prolonged pandemic lockdowns, we should realize that there is “a method to this madness” – one of conditioning people to government authority, control and provision in the place of God. This displacement of freedom under God by big government is also the goal of communism and the thinking of Karl Marx. He and his fellows realized that a government tyranny can be established with violence and revolution from stirred-up grievances – the “oppressed” against the “oppressor”. And a great deception is employed that power and abundance will accrue from a new humanist utopia to the oppressed people.
Yet, because of man’s fundamental depravity, this never happens. Any kind of humanism is flawed because mankind is fundamentally flawed. And an elite group brings in their new mandated “utopia” with more godless oppression and their own addiction to government power. As with Nimrod and with the various forms of Marxism, godlessness must be invoked to properly support an all-powerful and all-wise State in the minds of the people. The biblical God and Christianity stand in the way.
Marx was intent on subverting Christianity and was a man fascinated and inspired by the devil and his domain (Marx and Satan, R. Wurmbrand, 1986; The Devil and Karl Marx, P. Kengor, 2020). He rejoiced with the publishing of Charles Darwin’s Origin of Species in 1859, seeing it as scientific corroboration of godlessness – of his anti-God ideology. Today, we can see his ideas emerging in all the “wokeness”, “cancel culture”, “social justice” and the “cultural Marxism” of our time.
In fact, the founders of the organization Black Lives Matter (BLM) have publicly called themselves “trained Marxists”. And Antifa groups first arose during the Russian Revolution, migrated to Germany, where they fought to bring about another Marxist revolution, and have then come to the USA. Many of them are Satanists as well as Marxists.
The founders of BLM are also practitioners of witchcraft, with co-founder Patrisse Cullors and others advocating the system of Ifa, a West African religion of divination through calling up the dead, the “ancestor spirits” (wikipedia.org/wiki/Ifá). They credit it and Marxism for empowering themselves and their movement. (The empowerment is like that of the Tower of Babel – used as a temple to commune with spirits. The name Babel in Babylonian is “Babili”, which means “the gate of god”.)
And indeed there is a power that has taken hold worldwide – with reactions of support all across the world, taking knees of submission, chanting the names of the favored dead, and flooding the coffers of BLM with over $1.6 billion. Professional sports enterprises, major corporations, universities, young people with desires to advance “social justice” and a major political party have all championed the cause. Yet, so much of the rush to judgment has been without all the facts. And so much of the reaction has been in a spirit of hatred, thuggery, violence, intimidation, condemnation, guilt and fear. This is not of God, but of a dark power.
BLM – along with much of academia, government, and business today, corrupted by humanist values and lack of moral clarity – advocates “Critical Race Theory” (CRT), which is not true civil rights. CRT, which arose in the 1990s, is an extension of “Critical Theory”, which came from the cultural Marxists – those who realized that revolution could only happen when the institutions of Western Civilization were sufficiently worn down. Undermine the institutions – education, family values, religion, social cohesion, etc. – and you can set things up for Marxism. CRT applies cultural Marxism to race, defining the “white” race as “the oppressor” and “blacks” as “the oppressed”.
Therefore, it is not good enough to say, “I am a person who happens to be black.” We must not say that we are, first and foremost, people, created by God and are of “one blood” (Acts 17:26) … and were divided at Babel into different languages and family groups. Rather, in CRT, people of color must say: “I am Black” because my “race” is the definition of my being, including being a person who is oppressed. This hearkens back to “scientific racism”, where human beings were supposedly not one subspecies, homo-sapiens, but had multiple origins. Race supposedly determined most all things about us. “Scientific racism” comes out of early evolutionary theory and is actually a “pseudo-science”.
The more evolution is accepted without question, the easier it becomes for Marxism and its various aberrations (like Critical Race Theory) to take root in the university setting. This is, in fact, what has happened. Evolution has held the intellectual ground in our educational institutions for a long time, so it is easy to see why Marxist theories and Socialism are accepted in our society today. It is the legitimizing of godlessness that Marx rejoiced in!‘https://creationmoments.com/newsletter/how-godless-evolution-and-marxism-are-conditioning-people-to-replace-god/?mc_cid=0b091796e7&mc_eid=00c1dcff3c
