“Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord.” (Colossians 3:18)
‘This instruction has created an undue amount of “interpretation” over the past century. The terminology is not unclear, but the culture (particularly in the Western world) has resisted the idea that God has specifically designed the structure of the family—beginning with the role of the wife and mother in the home.
She is to “submit” to her husband. The Greek word is hupotasso, a compound term that simply describes an “orderly arrangement.” Obviously, the instructions assume obedience to the design for human procreation “from the beginning of the creation” (Mark 10:6-7) and an understanding of the judgment handed down to humanity in Genesis 3.
That sentence on women (through Eve) is placed on all women, since “Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression” (1 Timothy 2:14). Also included in the description in Genesis 3:16 is that the woman will “long” (Hebrew teshuqateh) for her husband, and her husband will “have power” (Hebrew mashal) over her.
The arrangement, therefore, is designed to prevent further debility and to protect the woman through the man’s willing obedience to love her sacrificially and unconditionally, as “Christ loved the church.”
Ultimately, of course, all obedience is voluntary. Wives are to “arrange” themselves under their husband’s authority, knowing that the instructions are given by an omnipotent and omniscient heavenly Father whose care for each of us is greater than we can imagine.
Many self proclaimed intellectuals of today openly doubt and disagree with the Book of Genesis but that’s alright as God disagrees with them.
Jeremiah 30:2 “Thus speaketh the LORD God of Israel, saying, Write thee all the words that I have spoken unto thee in a book.”
‘One of the most important books that I was given in my teenage years was Henry Morris’s commentary, The Genesis Record. At the time, the book was fairly new – perhaps just three years since its publication in 1976. It seemed important to me to have a commentary on Genesis, so my sister bought it for my 18th birthday.
What was special about the book, and still is, is that it covered the whole of the book of Genesis and did not stop at chapter 11, as many creationist books on Genesis do – my own included. Morris said in his introduction, “It is so important for people to sense that the Genesis narrative is real and historical.” People instinctively know that Genesis 12 onward – referring to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Joseph – is relating historical narrative. In my opinion, it is no accident that God inspired the account of Creation and the Flood in the same book as the histories of those patriarchs in order to emphasize that the first 11 chapters also are narrative history.
Didn’t President Trump warn us way before the election of mail-in ballot fraud!? Now ‘As we are about to enter the 2nd week of Election 2020, we continue to hear reports of possible irregularities with the vote-counting process coming from numerous swing states, which from initial appearances seems to have given the presidential nod to someone who barely left his basement during the run-up to the election.
After President Trump, who had what appeared to be an insurmountable lead Tuesday night, somehow saw his lead evaporate as absentee and mail-in ballots began being added to the count, which obviously led to questions about the process.
Nowhere are those questions more pronounced than the vote count in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, which turned the results in that state from a Trump majority to a Biden majority.
The Western Journal reported that according to Mike Roman, the director of Election Day operations for the Trump campaign, he showed a video that was posted on Twitter, it shows a woman who purported to be a volunteer handling absentee ballots by herself, unsupervised in a basement lunchroom.
In Philly suburbs “volunteers” are handling absentee ballots in the basement lunchroom of the counting center. The “election supervisor” LEFT! They don’t know his name? Are you kidding me? pic.twitter.com/kEeesnbze5
Matthew Henry, the non-conformist, wrote ‘This psalm has something of David in it, but much more of Christ. It begins with such expressions of devotion as may be applied to Christ; but concludes with such confidence of a resurrection (and so timely a one as to prevent corruption) as must be applied to Christ, to him only, and cannot be understood of David, as both St. Peter and St. Paul have observed, Ac 2:24; 13:36. For David died, and was buried, and saw corruption.’
Whether Sleepy Joe gets in or not the elite will be changing your life and mine. These people and their agenda will not only change our life but in reality it will be a total destruction of the life we have known. At the World Economic Forum they warn us that ‘Now, more than ever before, the world is seeing unprecedented international support to address climate change. Yet, delivering on global agreements and accelerating true, tangible action on such a pressing issue has been hindered due to the lack of one essential element.
Cooperation.
That’s why we’ve brought key players together to initiate true change, through the Climate Initiatives. The initiatives use the World Economic Forum platform and network to spur greater action against climate change, ensuring that businesses, governments and civil society cooperate in strength to meet commitments and truly accelerate achievements on the issue worldwide.’https://www.weforum.org/our-impact/accelerating-climate-action
Cooperation to these people means submission. Our governments in the West have sold us down the proverbial river. President Trump has been the one obstacle in their way and now perhaps that obstacle has been removed.
The Prime Minister of Australia, who professes to be a Christian, is one of those in the West who has sold his people down the climate scam river to be sold on the wharf of human slavery to supposedly save the planet. As if our not using heat or air conditioning or walking rather than driving will save this planet. Can we the the little people do anything to stop this madness? It doesn’t seem our hope is in the ballot box as these leftist/Marxist elites seem to control it as well.
Blogging is one way to release the inner tension but it all too often falls on deaf ears. However, our real and only hope is in the Creator Who is in control of the climate. Genesis 8:22 While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.
If these voter fraud and computer glitches are allowed to elect the next President of the United States there is no hope for America! What amazes me is not that the Devilcrats are rejoicing in this type of win but that the leaders of other free nations are congratulating this senile geriatric winner.
Well, back to the fraudulent election and ‘Further down the ‘Domminion Voting System’ rabbit-hole, Politico reports that a technology glitch that halted voting in two Georgia counties on Tuesday morning was caused by a vendor uploading an update to their election machines the night before, a county election supervisor said.
Voters were unable to cast machine ballots for a couple of hours in Morgan and Spalding counties after the electronic devices crashed, state officials said. In response to the delays, Superior Court Judge W. Fletcher Sams extended voting until 11 p.m.
Nothing the leader of the Vatican does or says surprises me but it does surprise me how many people fall for and follow like dumb sheep this man. But then I think on what Paul said in 2Timothy 3:13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
Now, all of that said ‘The Pope’s Encyclical “Fratelli Tutti” (“Brothers All”) sadly seems more a massive and unwieldy political document than a religious guide to the Catholic faithful.
The encyclical’s intended audience appears to be secular world rather than people of faith. The 43,000-word tome contains almost no discussion of Catholic dogmas.
Although the Pontiff’s diagnosis of the world’s ills seems accurate enough, unfortunately his proposed antidotes — equality of result rather than equality of opportunity and individual liberty, the bedrocks of Western democracies — would seriously threaten freedom.
The Pope, for instance, implies that the twilight of the planet’s centuries old diplomatic nation-state system has arrived, prompting the need for a more globalist political system. Regrettably, that usually brings with it no transparency, no accountability and no recourse. Think of the United Nations, the UN Human Rights Council, the International Criminal Court or the European Union.
The Pope denigrates the concept of nationalism by referring to it as “local narcissism.” His support for “open borders” would deny nations the right to sovereignty over their national territories. Pope Francis, a lifelong priest of the Jesuit order, appears to be calling for a system of international organizations that would possess the power to override the will of individual states and have the potential to become a global despotism.
Opposes free markets
The Pope also makes no secret of his opposition to the global capitalist free market economy.
He proposes instead that wealthy countries form a seamless bond with the have-not peoples of the global south. He implies that a redistribution of the world’s wealth is a moral obligation, and should replace free economies that promote growth and jobs and have done more to cure poverty than any other historical development.
The problem with redistribution, of course, is, as Margaret Thatcher famously said, “Soon you run out of other people’s money.” After everyone has been made equally medium-poor, then where, without incentives for hard work and production, are further disbursements supposed to come from? Think of the former Soviet Union, Cuba or Venezuela.
The encyclical’s economic platform for a more just world codifies as moral the redistribution of wealth between wealthy and impoverished regions of the world. The pope concludes, erroneously, that the free market capitalist system marginalizes the impoverished and disabled and should therefore give way to a system that provides for a more equitable distribution of earth’s resources.
He reminds the public that the Church has never defended the right to private property as an absolute. Instead, he recommends that it should be curtailed to serve the commonweal. The approach seems to turn a blind eye to the Church’s vast accumulation of property and other goods. Would the Church perhaps care to redistribute that?
This limitation on property ownership is followed up by the right of people to emigrate, individually and collectively, and of their right to progress. What about the right of people not to take all strangers into their house? The concept flies in the face of a historical pattern: that businesses primarily operate under the rubric of enlightened self-interest for the good of all. It is capitalism, not fraternal socialism, that has improved the economic condition of generations of workers and farmers, ushering them into a middle-class status.
The major flaw in socialism seems to be: where does the money continue to come from once the first disbursement runs dry? Socialist politicians seem to assume that since they will not be around forever, the problem of the government’s failure to innovate or produce and distribute goods and services will be somebody else’s problem.
Worse, under Socialism, a coterie of leaders, and their friends and family, live extremely well while everyone else is disincentivized and impoverished, if not worse.
In today’s Communist China, citizens are also subjected to a civilian “surveillance system” that determines everything from their ability to travel to where they can live. Although even totalitarian China, through a state capitalist system, has lifted tens of millions out of poverty — its economic model has been largely to steal information and technology from the West.
It is also within recent memory that socialist ideologies have brought the greatest misery to the greatest number: in Soviet Socialist Russia, in the People’s Republic of China, North Korea, Castro’s Cuba, and now in Venezuela.
Although Marxist-Leninists in the former Soviet Union called each other comrade for decades, these visionaries were responsible for the deaths — often murders — of up to 20 million of their own people. The toll during Mao Zedong’s socialist experiment in the People’s Republic of China has been estimated at more than twice that in just four years.
The text of the papal document cites a plethora of Judeo-Christian scripture as the theological justification for these comprehensive structural changes in the world order.
Biden hasn’t been declared the winner yet of the 2020 Presidential election but Hamas has congratulated him already as has most of the world leaders. You see, under sleepy Joe Iran and the Palestinians are winners and Americans and other freedom loving people are the losers! Some may say, ‘Oh, well, there is another election in four years’. That is true but will it be a fair one or another just like this one?
If this election isn’t scrutinized and sanitized with a watchful and truthful recount of only legal votes then there is no hope for a future fair election for the President of the united States.
However, in spite of the shenanigans of this election the terrorist ”Palestinian Authority and Hamas leaders welcomed the news of Democratic challenger Joe Biden’s victory in the presidential elections.
PA President Mahmoud Abbas said, “I look forward to working with President-elect Biden and his government to strengthen Palestinian-American relations and achieve freedom and independence, justice and dignity for our people, as well as to work for peace, stability and security for all in our region and the world.”
From the PA’s perspective, the Trump administration was the worst it has encountered. The PA cut ties with the administration when the U.S. recognized Jerusalem as Israel’s capital in December 2017.
The Trump administration reversed decades of U.S. policy, which had put the onus for a failure to reach a peace agreement on Israel while ignoring Palestinian intransigence. Under President Donald Trump, the U.S. held the PA responsible, cutting off its funding for its continued support of terror.
“Nothing was worse than Trump’s era, his departure is a gain,” Senior PLO official Nabil Shaath said.
Ismail Haniyeh, leader of the Hamas terrorist group, which rules the Gaza Strip, said: “U.S. President Donald Trump, who sought to obliterate Palestine’s cause, has gone and Jerusalem will not go.”
“The Trump administration was the most extreme in its support for Israel at the expense of Palestinian rights. We call on President-elect Joe Biden to make a historic correction to the discriminatory American policy toward the Palestinian people that has caused instability in the region and the world,” Haniyeh added.
The PA appears to want to forget the Trump administration as if it were a bad dream. According to Israel Hayom, a senior official with Abbas said that the PA wants to resume negotiations where they left off when President Barack Obama departed the White House in 2016.
The official also said Abbas wants the U.S. to return its embassy to Tel Aviv. Trump moved the embassy to Israel’s capital two years ago. Biden said during the campaign that he wouldn’t move the embassy back even though he opposed the embassy’s transfer to Jerusalem.’https://worldisraelnews.com/plo-hamas-praise-biden-win-condemn-trump/
Two of Australia’s worse and very Leftist leaning Prime Ministers got together on the Leftist/Marxist government sponsored One billion dollars per year ABC’s Leftist China loving Insiders program to condemn Rupert Murdoch and clamor on about make believe catastrophic climate change.
These two climate scammers never liked President Trump and now with him perhaps out of the way they are hoping sleepy Joe will come to their aid in the push for more climate change rules and regulations for the poor saps here in Australia. I didn’t watch the spectacle but according to the Leftist Marxist Guardian’s New Daily ‘Towards the end of Malcolm Turnbull and Kevin Rudd’s joint interview on the ABC’s Insiders on Sunday, host David Speers gave voice to the thought that was on the lips of every viewer watching from home.
“Years ago, I would have doubted there would be so much agreement between the two of you,” the veteran broadcaster said with a smile, the smiling visages of the former prime ministers towering over him from two giant televisions.
“So would we,” Mr Rudd replied.
It capped an extraordinary interview and the latest chapter in an unlikely budding bromance from the two former rivals, who have teamed up in their post-politics careers to take on the white whales they couldn’t vanquish even from the highest office in the land.
Namely, climate change and Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp.
Kevin Rudd and Malcolm Turnbull: an unlikely pairing. Photo: AAP
“We had agreed on an emissions trading scheme once upon a time,” Mr Turnbull reminded the Insiders host at the end of their wide-ranging chat.
It’s not difficult to see the most recent ex-PM still carries grudges over his unceremonious booting from The Lodge in August 2018, replaced by Scott Morrison after a toxic partyroom brawl over energy policy.
Mr Rudd also lost his prime ministership in 2010, in no small part due to his controversial dumping of a carbon reduction scheme and the ensuing popularity hit.
Both have blamed the “Murdoch media” for waging campaigns against their leaderships, and in the years since they left Parliament, both have fired shots back and kept spruiking their thoughts on strong climate action.
The pair are not exactly good friends – indeed, Mr Rudd was famously enraged when then-PM Turnbull blocked his bid to run for United Nations secretary-general in 2016 – but have backed common purposes in recent times.
Good to have you on board, @TurnbullMalcolm. Supporting media diversity isn’t about left or right, Labor or Liberal, but preserving the lifeblood of our democracy.
So it was perhaps a programming coup to get Australia’s angry grandpas on TV together on Sunday in the wake of the US election being handed to Joe Biden just hours earlier, to have them continue their unlikely alliance in front of a national audience.
On the agenda? Climate, News Corp and, of course, Donald Trump.
Rupert Murdoch was mentioned no fewer than a dozen times in the Insiders interview.
“Trump has lost. Murdoch’s man in the White House has been defeated,” Mr Turnbull said.
Mr Rudd called out “Murdoch bullies” for haranguing Mr Turnbull, calling the media proprietor “a cancer on our democracy”.
“Malcolm and I disagree on a multitude of things, but Murdoch’s treatment of Malcolm Turnbull in 2018, directly interfering into the internal politics of the Liberal Party, to do what he could through his editors to bring about a leadership change to Morrison or Dutton at the time, is a disgrace,” Mr Rudd said.
“Murdoch has engendered a culture of fear in Australia about this discussion because he goes after people individually who raise this question. Including myself, including Malcolm and others,” he complained.
On the hot-button topic of climate, the pair said they hoped Mr Biden would usher in a new era of global environmental action and co-operation.
Mr Turnbull couldn’t resist taking a stab at Mr Morrison’s plans for a ‘gas-led recovery’ – a plan he called “BS” and “piffle” – and loudly calling for stronger commitments.
“This is the time to pivot, otherwise [Morrison] is going to look out on the extreme with Saudi Arabia, as some kind of a carbon economy,” Mr Turnbull quipped.
“Really, we can do so much better than that, and now is the time for Scott to move.”
Mr Rudd claimed the government’s policies amounted to a plan to “hide in the shadows”, and called on Mr Morrison to “swallow your political pride and get real” on a net-zero target.
But stinging words were also reserved for the vanquished Mr Trump.
Mr Rudd said the President should “put on his big boy pants” and “act like a grown-up” after his loss.
Mr Turnbull, famously the target of Mr Trump’s ire in a 2016 phone call over refugee policy, said the change was “a good thing for everybody”.
“It’s a relief to have a return to normal transmission, to have an administration that is going to be consistent, that isn’t going to be making decisions by wild tweets in the early hours of the morning,” he said.
“That isn’t going to be walking out of global treaties and alliances, discombobulating friends and foes alike.”
It may not be the way I would put it but ‘The possibility that the Democrats could get away with this grand theft and install Joe Biden’s handlers in the Oval Office reminds me of an old joke: a man dies and goes to hell. Satan greets him at the gates and says, “You know, we get such bad media coverage. Hell really isn’t as bad as you’ve probably heard. In fact, you get to choose the eternal torment you prefer.” The miscreant was taken aback, and said, “All right, show me what you’ve got.” Satan showed him a room in which people were being tortured in fire, and another where they were encased in ice, and a third where they were sitting at tables drinking coffee and chatting pleasantly, although knee-deep in excrement. “This room doesn’t seem as bad as the others,” the man tells Satan. “I’ll take this room.” But as soon as the man enters, sits down, and orders his coffee, he hears: “Coffee break’s over. Back on your heads.” That’s Joe Biden’s presidency in a nutshell.
After a four-year coffee break, the Biden victory would mean that it’s time to get back on our heads. It would signal a return to the failed policies of the past: high taxes, crushing regulations, and the managed decline of the American economy as American jobs and industries are steadily outsourced to Joe’s pals in China and to other countries where workers are willing or forced to work more cheaply. It would mean a return to open-borders internationalism, with the repeal on the new administration’s first day (if old Joe and/or Kamala keep their promises) of what they call Trump’s “Muslim ban,” that is, his prohibition of entry from thirteen countries, Muslim and non-Muslim, that cannot or will not provide adequate information about those wishing to enter. So who will be coming in? Who knows? And who cares, as long as their names can be entered on a ballot if our new masters deign to go through the charade of allowing us to vote again?
President Biden would also return the U.S. to the self-defeating accords that impinge upon American sovereignty and weaken our nation in the face of international foes and competitors, such as the Paris Climate Accord. His victory would herald the restoration of the disastrous Iran nuclear deal, which emboldened and empowered the Islamic Republic of Iran to develop nuclear weapons at home and engage in jihad adventurism abroad.
Biden’s victory would, of course, also be a victory for The Squad and their Green New Deal, which the candidate repudiated while advertising on his website; it would be a victory for the Muslim Brotherhood-linked groups that Biden repeatedly signaled he would empower. It would be a victory for the Antifa and Black Lives Matter goons who have made Portland unlivable and rioted in other cities as well against an imagined “systemic racism,” but more precisely against a President who was not a Marxist or Marxist enabler.
Also rejoicing at Biden/Harris/Rice/Rhodes in the White House would be Palestinian jihadis, as the Biden camp has pledged to restore the aid to the Palestinian Authority that President Trump stopped because of Palestinian leaders’ manifest lack of interest in sincerely working toward peace with Israel. Money is fungible: “humanitarian aid” for the Palestinians would mean more money freed up for rockets to lob into Israel: your taxpayer dollars will finance the Palestinian jihad.
