‘Russian politician and businessman Pavel Antov was found lying in a pool of blood outside a hotel in eastern India on Monday, just days after his friend, Vladimir Bidenov, died at the same hotel.
Antov was a member of the legislative assembly of the Vladimir Region and founded the Vladimir Standard meat processing plant. He was ranked as the richest civil servant in Russia in 2019, with an income of 9.97 billion rubles.

‘Before turning against the U.S. military to command the Confederate army, Robert E. Lee served as the superintendent of West Point, the hallowed military academy that produced patriots like Ulysses S. Grant, Douglas MacArthur and Dwight Eisenhower.
But in the coming days, the storied academy will take down a portrait of Lee dressed in his Confederate uniform from its library, where it has been hanging since the 1950s and place it in storage. It will also remove the stone bust of the Civil War’s top southern general at Reconciliation Plaza. And Lee’s quote about honor will be stripped from the academy’s Honor Plaza.
‘Westerly, Rhode Island, father Robert Chiaradio was convinced that if only people could see it with their own eyes, they would join his battle to remove Maia Kobabe’s book, Gender Queer: A Memoir, from the high school library.
So when he took the podium at the Westerly School Committee meeting last December, Chiaradio came prepared with more than just his talking points. Filing in behind him were his supporters, each one holding up a poster-sized illustration from the book [graphic material at link]. Together they revealed a revolting display of images for the whole room to see.
It didn’t last long, though. Soon, a group of seven teachers crowded around him and positioned themselves in front of each poster, blocking its view from the audience. Though everyone had already seen the sickening pictures, the teachers refused to budge, their arms folded in defiance, as if to say, “You’re not seeing that.”
Chiaradio wanted to know why it was fine for a 14-year-old at Westerly High School to see the book, but not the adults at the meeting. When he asked the Westerly Teachers Association head, Colleen Saila, that question, he says she replied that the teachers in the room were “offended” because they didn’t have a choice about seeing the poster-sized pictures from the book.
There was another choice they didn’t have that night. Like it or not, the second those posters were raised in the air, the school lost control of the narrative. The secret of Gender Queer was out.
And covering it up after the fact didn’t change the fact that the school was offering pornography to its students.
He has been in his adversaries’ crosshairs for over two years, ever since he started asking his pesky questions about critical race theory (CRT) in Westerly’s public schools. By now, he’s gotten used to being sabotaged, gaslit, lied to, and called the worst sorts of names. Few would be up for the abuse and aggravation that have come with his two-steps-forward, one-step-back battles.
But while Chiaradio is relentless, so are his opponents.

‘Last week, another horrifying story broke that has strong echos of the Loudoun County, Virginia, rape cover-ups. That story was then taken up by journalist Anna Slate, who got the police reports. It was heavily redacted to protect the minors in question, but the story unfolds pretty clearly.
In late October, a male student who “identifies” as a female entered a girls’ bathroom. This “transgender” student then approached two girls in the bathroom and attempted to talk to one of them. She ignored him. At one point he balled his fist and asked if she “wanted to fight.” Next thing the girl knew, he had hit her in the face, stunning her. He then pulled her by the hair to the ground, where he began to kick her in the face and punch her.
One of the girl’s friends, who had been witness to the whole incident, tried to intervene. She was afraid for the victim’s life because her attacker was “a man.” For her trouble, the male student punched her in the face twice. Other witnesses to the attack begged the assailant to stop and also claimed that the first victim had been beaten senseless. Both girls were black and blue, with at least one of them suffering a concussion.
Just why was the “transgender” student trying to get the first girl’s attention in the first place? Well, according to his statement, he was trying to “pay her back” for clothes he had apparently stolen from her.
Here is where the cover-up kicks into play. The parents of the entire school had not been informed of the incident because it happened in a bathroom and not in a more public place like the cafeteria. Edmond Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Angela Grunewald offered an excuse: “It is important that mass communication is only sent for critical events. If we sent mass communication out on all of the events that happen at a school, parents would get so many notifications they would miss any important updates.” Clearly, this incident is different. It was not just a fight amongst girls in a bathroom.
After the story broke, Dr. Grunewald went into damage control, informing the entire student body of the incident and following up with a video explanation of actions that have been taken. The attack happened in October, and parents weren’t formally informed about it until December 16. She grudgingly had to admit that this was an attack by a boy who had already been antagonizing the victim in question — which, incidentally, is against the law in Oklahoma.
Oklahoma has a law on the books stating that people must use the bathroom that aligns with their biological sex. This law went into effect in late March, before this incident. The male student would not have been permitted to enter the girls’ bathroom if the school had been enforcing the law.
