Genesis 1:1-2
“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.”

‘Many people are aware that evolutionary astrophysicists believe that the Earth came into existence about 4.5 billion years ago. The formation of this planet-size lump of rock allegedly happened by gravitational accretion from the dust that had previously swirled around the Sun. One grain of dust would attract another. Gradually, one lump would attract another. This would keep repeating until a planet-sized object appeared.
There are two main problems with this scenario, apart from the fact that it is not described that way in the Bible. First, why would particles of dust or small stones stick together by gravity? If this were a normal thing to happen, then why has it not subsequently happened in the asteroid belt? The second problem is that even if such accretion were possible, it would only produce a planet-sized lump of amorphous rock. But the Earth has structure, with a solid crust, semi-molten mantle, and molten inner and outer core.
So evolutionary astrophysicists suppose that about 3.9 billion years ago, another planet, about the size of Mars, crashed into the Earth, and vaporized. This caused the Earth to melt so that it could reset in the “correct” order. Although this model is a lot more sophisticated than this simplified version, it still seems to be something of a fiddle-factor – an invented story to attempt to explain the inexplicable.
In contrast, the Bible tells us that the Earth was a direct creation by God and that the rest of the Solar System – and, indeed, the rest of the universe – was formed three days later, again as a direct creative act of God.’https://creationmoments.com/sermons/evolution-of-the-early-earth/?mc_cid=2d3601609a&mc_eid=00c1dcff3c
Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
‘Canada’s dystopian love affair with State-assisted dying grows more chilling by the day.
Fashion house La Maison Simons has produced a (now deleted) three-minute advertisement promoting euthanasia as a trendy, progressive lifestyle choice.
The ad presents state-sponsored MAiD (Medical Assistance in Dying) as ‘the most beautiful exit’.
‘Dying in a hospital is not what’s natural. That’s not what’s soft. In these kinds of moments, you need softness,’ the advertisement’s narrator says.
Viewers are told that, ‘Last breaths are sacred…’ as the narrator, an attractive woman in a wheelchair, is shown on a picturesque beach.
‘I spent my life filling my heart with beauty, with nature, with connection. I choose to fill my final moments with the same,’ she says.
‘When I imagine my final days, I see bubbles. I see the ocean. I see music. Even now, as I seek help to end my life, there is still so much beauty. You just have to be brave enough to see it.’
The narration – backed by an inspirational musical score – is set to beautiful images of bubbles, candle-lit forests, beaches with luminescent whale and jellyfish puppets, and friends gathering around in support.
The advertisement ends with a dedication to the 37-year-old narrator who ended her life with help from the State in October.
‘Jennyfer Hatch – 1985 to October 2022.’
Oh, and there’s a small logo of La Maison Simons – the fashion retailer. If you’re not busy this afternoon being euthanised by the State, we recommend you check out some of their winter fashions.
Jennyfer Hatch wasn’t terminally ill when she applied to be euthanised. She had reportedly spent years trying to get treatment for chronic pain caused by an inherited disorder that affects connective tissue.
She eventually applied for MAiD and was approved within weeks.
When it comes to healthcare, dying is fast becoming what the Canadians do best.
The callous message goes something along the lines of ‘you can spend years seeking medical treatment and get nowhere, or you can apply for euthanasia and receive help within weeks’.
Five-time Paralympics champion Christine Gauthier shocked Canadians last week when she told a parliamentary committee how she was offered MAiD when she complained to the Veterans Affairs department about a delay installing a wheelchair ramp at her home.
‘I have a letter saying that if you’re so desperate, madam, we can offer you MAiD, medical assistance in dying,’ she was told.
No doubt, this is an alarming escalation.
Where’s my wheelchair ramp?
It’s on backorder. Would you like to die instead?
They shouldn’t call it assisted suicide. It should be called Very-Assisted suicide.
In case it sounded like an unlikely, isolated instance, Veterans Minister Lawrence MacAulay told Parliament she knew of at least four other military veterans similarly offered the death option without ever requesting it.
Can’t help you live. Happy to help you die. So thoughtful of the government…!
The only good thing that can be said about these shocking cases is that death was offered, not mandated.
Anyway, producers of the ‘death is beautiful, everyone should try it at least once’ advertisement didn’t seem bothered by the fact there are people who wouldn’t have needed to experience the beauty of death if they’d been offered a bit of government help to live.
Death is the latest fashion, and corporations are now advertising for people to try it on.
La Maison Simons executive Peter Simons said the objective in shooting the video was to ‘truly reflect on who we want to be as a company’.
A lot of things came to mind, none of them complimentary.
Simons said the company had made ‘the courageous choice to use the privilege of our voice and platform to create something meaningful, something that is less about commerce and more about connection’.
It’s a pretty revealing insight into where Western culture is at right now – a respected corporation parading its Woke credentials by cheering vulnerable people to consider an early death out of … kindness?
The unifying feature across all progressive ideology today is fundamentally anti-human.
Whether it’s the mad panic to get to Net Zero – irrespective of the human cost – or the gender botherers’ relentless campaign to strip the term ‘woman’ of all meaning, progressivism is at war with humanity.
Abortion was sold to us as being safe, legal, and rare. Now progressives insist that anything other than abortion up until birth, for any reason at all, is a violation of human rights.
Same-sex marriage was sold to us as being about love and equality. Within a few short years of its legalisation, our finest political minds cannot say for sure what a woman is.
It’s been quite the slippery slope.
The La Maison Simons advertisement comes just three months before Canada intends to legalise euthanasia for people with mental health issues.
In less time than it takes a child to complete primary school, Canada went from legalised euthanasia for terminally ill people suffering intolerable pain and with the end in sight, to euthanasia for sad people.
There is already talk that the next ‘reform’ should be to give children access death services, and without parental consent.
Of course, the legislation being considered does not call children ‘children’. One of the charms of progressivism is its linguistic gymnastics that make it easy to forget what one is actually talking about.
Children are referred to as ‘mature minors’ (which is an oxymoron) without any detail as to what constitutes mature, or who decides.
Dying with Dignity responsibly recommends that the legislation should only apply to mature minors ‘at least 12 years of age and capable of making decisions with respect to their health’.
It begs the question, if we are going to allow euthanasia for 12-year-olds, why not 11-year-olds? And if for 11-year-olds, would we really deny death to depressed 10-year-olds?
Dying with Dignity insist it would only be in very rare instances that a child would access Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD).
And if you believe that, I’ve got a bridge to sell you.
MAiD’s first year of operation in 2017 saw 2,838 people opted for assisted suicide, according to a government report.
Five years later the number of assisted suicides had ballooned to 10,064 and accounted for more than 3 percent of all deaths in Canada.
I know. I know. I’m sounding anti-death. I’ll try to look on the bright side.
Here’s the good news…
Canada’s Parliamentary Budget Officer issued a report in October 2020 stating that MAiD would cut healthcare costs by more than $66 million.
Others – including Aaron Trachtenberg, a research fellow and a doctor at the University of Manitoba, and Braden Manns, a health economist, and nephrologist at the University of Calgary – have predicted that MAiD could save the health budget up to $100 million annually.
It’s only a matter of time before the Canadian government starts asking citizens to kill themselves to save lives.
And then – having killed the elderly, the miserable, and the disabled – they will be able to boast that they have the best healthcare system in the world, since everyone left alive is well.
You think I’m joking?
Iceland boasts about having ‘eradicated’ Down Syndrome. The unspoken part is that they have done this by aborting almost all unborn babies that test positive for the syndrome.
As Mother Teresa once said (paraphrased): ‘There is no poverty like Western poverty.’
Having abandoned belief in God, we now see ourselves as no more than an evolved species in an accidental biosphere.
When Nietzsche said that ‘God is dead’, he wasn’t celebrating a liberating insight, he was just pointing out that humans are utterly alone in a cold and uncaring universe.
This nihilism is pervading our increasing secular world.
State-assisted suicide is now so progressive, so cool and so modern that corporations believe their brands are enhanced by promoting it.
You have to wonder if, as a society, we have reached some sort of non-adaptive tipping point.’https://spectator.com.au/2022/12/death-a-dystopian-love-affair/
‘The Dutch Minister for Nitrogen, Christianne van der Wal, announced that 3,000 farms will be forced to sell their properties to the government for immediate closure after ‘voluntary’ measures failed.
Christianne van der Wal, who incidentally is a member of the Freedom and Democracy party, does not understand that if a person is offered two choices that both end with the government snatching their farm – there’s nothing ‘voluntary’ about the outcome.
Chairman Mao did a similar thing in China during his ‘Great Leap Forward’ and it ended with citizens eating their children. His regime forced collectivised farming across China, promising that it was ‘fairer’ and more ‘community-minded’ than all that self-interested private agriculture.
Learning nothing from the deaths of 45 million Chinese, the Dutch Minister for Nitrogen moved closer to the limelight and allure of giddy, climate-worshipping reporters.
‘For agricultural entrepreneurs, there will be a stopping scheme that will be as attractive as possible.’
This is the villainous conclusion to the Dutch Net Zero scandal that forms part of an approaching global food shortage manufactured entirely by the United Nations and its unsustainable ‘sustainability goals’. Other victims include Net Zero poster child Sri Lanka which collapsed earlier this year and was all-but erased from the Climate Cult hive mind.
In addition to the Dutch government demanding 30 per cent of livestock in the Netherlands to be (literally – not figuratively) burned at the stake of Net Zero, Christianne van der Wal went on to offer ‘peak polluters’ a future involving a torture chamber of tailor-made permits and taxes.
These ‘peak polluters’ are better known as essential manufacturers and suppliers. They include Tata Steel, which announced that it would ‘become a world leader in decarbonization for the third time’ and intends to switch to hydrogen steel production, even though the industry is not expected to become competitive until 2035-50 (maybe) and requires huge amounts of power (which Europe no longer has).
Let’s be fair, ‘green hydrogen’ production, storage, and use is an energy black hole. Fellow battered company Ford has agreed to buy ‘green steel’ from Tata – assuming it manages to make any – for its cars that no one will be able to afford because of ‘15-20 minute cities’ like Oxford which want to trap people in tiny car-free bubbles.
None of these green-agreements with the government saved Tata Steel from a criminal investigation held by Dutch prosecutors into alleged pollution from two of their plants. According to AP News, ‘Prosecutors said that their investigation was into alleged “intentional and unlawful introduction of hazardous substances into the soil, air, or surface water”.’
The problem is not nitrogen or carbon dioxide – but an actual pollutant, lead. Creating steel causes vast quantities of emissions. There’s no irony in steel plants working overtime to create ‘Net Zero’ technology, polluting small villages so that rich celebrities can fly over North Sea wind farms and marvel at the ‘clean’ technology.
Tata Steel’s Port Talbot plant in Wales, for example, created hundreds of tonnes of steel to build the world’s largest offshore wind farm, the Dogger Bank Wind Farm. ‘Huge amounts of steel will be needed to help the UK achieve its Net Zero goals – to build everything from renewable energy and low-CO2 transportation to hydrogen production and distribution.’ Virtuous climate warrior Tata owns coal mines in Jharia and West Bokaro but also managed to buy 75,000 tonnes of Russian coal during the Ukraine-Russia conflict and has large holdings in North America and Australia.
Over a decade ago, Tata purchased a 5 per cent interest in the Queensland Carborough Downs Coal Project for a 14-year initiative involving 58 million tonnes of coal with options to delve into the 100 million tonnes of unexplored coal sitting in deeper seams. Tata now says it is ‘willing to underwrite coal developments in Queensland to spark a resurgence in investment and development it needs for its booming steel industry’.
Tata is frustrated by the Labor government in Queensland demonising coal which has led to a severe lack of investment. Tata managing director TV Narendran said that this soft environment of investment stems from the conflation of thermal coal and coking coal. This is not surprising given the rhetoric of the Left dumbing it down to ‘coal’. Coking coal remains the only industrially viable way to make steel for pesky things like wind turbines, but you won’t hear a Labor premier say they ‘heart’ coal.
‘One thing I hear from industry is that there is a bit of concern about the increase in royalties, which obviously has come up and that it will eat into profits and hence investments. The second concern is the questioning of the future of coal and not distinguishing between thermal coal and coking coal. Given coal is such an important part of the economy in Queensland I think there is an opportunity for industry and government to work together.’
Narendran’s comments don’t bode well for Queensland.
‘We are not looking at investments in Australia, but we are happy to underwrite capacity.’ He added, ‘The company [Tata] bought about $4 billion a year in coal from Australia and there was an expectation that it would double over the next decade. I think it’s not about anything specific that the government has said … if Australia was not seen as a stable reliable supplier, then Indian suppliers would be forced to go to places like Russia.’
Mate, you’re barking up the wrong tree. Didn’t you see the Labor, Greens, and Teals’ election messages? Queensland is completely abandoning coal and instead spending billions on wind farms which require – oh… Coal.
Today’s politicians are some of the most ‘pro-coal’ in decades, the difference is that they hide their love of coal beneath words like ‘wind turbines’ and ‘renewable’ while presiding over the largest mining boom in a century. They’d also rather the coal come from the third-world where no one can see it being mined. Guilt-free ‘out of sight, out of mind’ bird mincing machines delivered in time for the next election…
While there is a lot of money running around in the ‘green’ industry, somehow these places are still crying poor with their paws out for public money. For example, despite the Netherlands Tata site being instrumental in providing steel to high-demand ‘renewables’ projects, Tata steel ‘threatened to shut down the operation unless it received a 1.5 billion pound subsidy to build two electric arc furnaces’.
‘Green steel’ is many things – economically ‘sustainable’ is not one of them.
It is not only the world’s energy sectors that are stuck in an idiocy feedback loop. The same government order in the Netherlands Parliament that threatened to kill steel production has also made thousands of private farms ‘illegal’ overnight.
The Dutch people are living through a nightmare pseudo ‘nitrogen futures trading scheme’ where farms are killed to allow the government to build ‘900,000 desperately needed homes with wind farms’ without exceeding EU-mandated nitrogen emissions.
Who is going to feed all these people?
That’s a problem for tomorrow. As for closing farms to improve ‘biodiversity’ – how’s that biodiversity look in the middle of the 900,000 new homes? Or is that mostly concrete and steel…? Imagine being a farmer, dragged from green fields and told that the grey, lifeless city is the climate virtuoso.
Our children have been taught by publicly-funded teachers that the farms that feed them are ‘evil’ and the city is ‘sustainable’ – that giving up meat in exchange for bugs and lab-printed food is ‘healthy’ – and that cows are a bigger threat than billionaires counting their money on private islands that (somehow) haven’t been inundated by the same water that Pacific Islands use to blackmail Australian taxpayers.
Ralph Schoellhammer, Webster University assistant professor, spoke to Spectator Australia editor Rowan Dean on Outsiders about the convulsions of madness running through Western governments.
‘The Dutch are doing to their agricultural sector what the Germans did to their energy sector – and we all saw the consequences there. We get the promises that ‘Oh, this is not going to be a problem… we can move to alternative modes of production!’ and in the end they never work,’ he said.
‘In Germany, it is even more insane. They want 30 per cent of their agriculture to go organic, which means that they would turn from a net exporter of agriculture to a net importer of agriculture. During times of global food insecurity, it is complete insanity.
‘The Dutch are doing the same thing. These 3,000 farms are just the beginning – and the Dutch government is saying this.
‘It has to be stressed for your viewers that Nitrogen is a crucial ingredient for synthetic fertiliser and without synthetic fertiliser we could not feed the world. About four billion people simply would have no access to food.
‘This is a war, in many ways I would argue, against humanism – against humanity.
‘The dominant ideology – I am tempted to call it the cult-ish ideology – tells us that if you don’t change now, the world is going to end in ten years. Which, of course, it’s not.
‘This is part of a larger story.
‘Remember Sri Lanka… If you go back two years, everybody was cheering them on. “Ah, Sri Lanka! They show the way forward! Sri Lanka knows how to do it! They proved to the world that in fact, you don’t need fertiliser. You don’t need any kind of synthetic materials to feed your population!” And then it all broke down in a very short order. Because you cannot feed your people. Modern agriculture is an absolute necessity given the population numbers that we have.
‘I think this is overall a larger part of a kind of auto-immune disease that the West is afflicted by where we turn against everything that made our civilisation powerful.’
This is not the first time that socialism, in one form or another, has been described as a disease that attacks weak minds – and our civilisation has certainly grown physically and intellectually lazy after generations of easy-living.
When asked if Climate Change and Net Zero are a breed of Marxism – a common accusation – he replies:
‘For me, it’s less Marxism then it is a kind of secular coming of a new form of reformation. If you listen to how they talk. It’s about, you know, “society needs to be cleansed”. We need to change our ways of life. This sounds more like the Puritans would argue than the Marxists
‘It’s about “we need to eat less meat” and “we need to take fewer showers”. It’s all about society needing a baptism of fire to cleanse ourselves from the sins of the past. It’s a quasi-religious movement.’
Rowan Dean adds, ‘It’s also fascism if you ask me. Fascism is the marriage of authoritarian governments and big business.’
It could be both… Eco-fascism with a state religion.
A generation lacking morality and told to feel guilty about everything – including the colour of their skin – has found salvation in Climate Puritanism. It is the misguided belief that they are saving the world by turning celebrities, politicians, and bureaucrats into a pantheon of gods to which they offer grand sacrifices – such as liberty and prosperity – to appease ‘the greater good’. They want to pass through the needle of social media approval and enter the Utopia of #ClimateJustice where everything is free.
They fail to realise that Climate Change is a death cult, ruled by demons and attended by corruption – of the Earth, of our wallets, and of our civilisation’s future. After all, what ideology could be more evil than a one that denies the basic human rights of the individual and seeks power through ruin?
According to Tombstone, written by Yang Jisheng, Mao’s Great Leap Forward proved that economically irrational policies are deadly. That a system of absolute power micromanaging agriculture, immune to criticism, and ignorant of its practical failings has the potential to inflict the worst suffering imaginable on society – even in nations blessed by natural resources.
‘The insanity and ruthlessness of the Great Leap Forward and the Great Cultural Revolution were the result of that degeneration and the great “achievement” of the totalitarian system. The regime considered no cost or coercion too great in making the realisation of Communist ideals the supreme goal of the entire populace. The peasants bore the chief burden of realising these ideals: they shouldered the cost of industrialisation, of collectivisation, of subsidising the cities, and of the extravagant habits of officials at every level.’
Net Zero is our ‘Green Leap Forward’ and massive collapse backward.’https://spectator.com.au/2022/12/the-green-leap-forward/
Most of the problems today were created by governments!

A piece published in a major liberal publication funded by leftist billionaire George Soros is projecting global economic disaster.
The Soros-funded Project Syndicate released a Dec. 2 column by New York University Professor Emeritus of Economics Nouriel Roubini headlined: “The Unavoidable Crash.” Roubini wrote that years of frivolous fiscal, monetary and credit policies compounded by major negative supply shocks have significantly damaged the world economy, including the U.S.: “Stagflationary pressures are now putting the squeeze on a massive mountain of public- and private-sector debt.” Roubini didn’t mince words. “The mother of all economic crises looms, and there will be little that policymakers can do about it,” he wrote. Soros’ Open Society Foundations funneled at least $1,532,105 into Project Syndicate between 2018 and 2020. [Emphasis added.]

‘‘Taking out the trash’ refers to politicians releasing bad news when it’s least likely to be noticed, such as a Friday afternoon before a three-day weekend.
Both sides of politics do it.
But now, the US mainstream media have started doing it over their suppressing reporting of the Hunter Biden laptop during the 2020 election.
Senator Ted Cruz concludes that there is a confluence of institutions – media, Democrats, bureaucrats, universities and big business – determined to deceive and lie to the people.
This US establishment has learned from Beijing how to marry ideology – communism with either Chinese or American characteristics – with the potential to reap massive wealth from corrupting government to make them all Soros-like, new-style communist billionaires.
Added to that, building on abuses matured under Obama, they have dared to undermine traditional checks and balances so essential to our system.
This is done by weaponising and politicising institutions against their opponents, institutions which in a democracy must be above the political fray. Well described in Ted Cruz’s Justice Corrupted: How the Left Weaponized Our Legal System, this involves misusing the taxation bureaucracy (IRS) and the justice system (DoJ, FBI) against enemies. And don’t think Australia is immune. Just recall what Victorian authorities and the ABC did to Cardinal Pell.
Meanwhile, in the Australian mainstream media echo chamber, hardly a day goes by when there is not some attack on Donald Trump, all the while ignoring damning evidence on the Biden family such as that released through the coming Republican-dominated House Oversight Committee.
Yet not only were Trump’s achievements remarkable, domestic and foreign, he was alone among Western leaders courageous and honest enough to walk out of the ruinous Paris Climate Accord.
The only salvation for the free world can come from the next real Republican president. Fortunately, the choice will be made by the best judges, registered Republican supporters voting as primaries stretch across that great country, albeit at an infuriatingly leisurely pace. As to the Paris Accord, while this is doomed to have zero effect on the climate, a trite application of the follow-the-money principle indicates its sole beneficiaries are, unsurprisingly, the usual assorted billionaires.
These especially include the murderous multi-billionaire gangsters in Beijing who are bleeding the Chinese people dry while profiting from their infamous sideline, the on-demand trade in human organs ripped out of the living bodies of healthy young Muslims, Christians and Falun Gong practitioners.
Meanwhile, they are laughing all the way to the bank as our leaders line up to sign up for net zero, something Alan Jones long ago warned would be a ‘national suicide note’.
This is nothing more than a betrayal of Australia, a veritable treason of the elites.
Just on that, the uninformed (especially those exposed to modern education) were no doubt scared by the recent official ‘State of the Climate Report’, which was, of course, the intention.
While its assertion of increasing temperatures was reported in the mainstream media as unquestionable fact, scientist Jo Nova points out that satellites show that, despite an increase in CO2 (which Peter Ridd points out is greening Australia), there has been no warming in Australia in the last ten years.
But, she says, if you use thermometers in carparks, near runways, or close to incinerators, you’ll find the increase that will ensure the grants keep flowing in. Helped by lowering past readings, perhaps?
To return to the media taking out the trash, we saw a spectacular example over Thanksgiving when CBS suddenly announced they had finally authenticated the infamous Hunter Biden laptop.
But they’re still pretending there’s no evidence to show Joe Biden was the ‘Big Guy’ receiving 10 per cent from the sale of access and influence into Washington.
Two years before, on CBS’s 60 Minutes, presenter Lesley Stahl forbade President Trump from even referring to the laptop because the story ‘could not be authenticated’.
But Stahl curiously never asked for authentication when Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi cast doubt on whether the Holocaust had occurred.
Cruz says that the story about the Hunter Biden laptop and the Biden family’s corrupt dealings with foreign powers, was ‘incredibly inconvenient’ because it broke in the New York Post just before the 2020 election and could have affected the way the establishment had decided the vote should go.
So, he says, the FBI contacted ‘their buddies in big tech’ to ask them to suppress this on the tired old ground that it was ‘Russian disinformation’.
This blatant lie was conveniently supported by an open letter from more than fifty former senior ‘intelligence’ officials .
Acting in concert, Cruz says, Facebook and Twitter then took down not just the story but the New York Post.
Rather than asking Biden about the laptop, the mainstream media preferred to ask him about such important issues as the flavour of the ice cream he would so ostentatiously eat in front of them.
Now, after two years, and with the 2020 and 2022 elections safely out of the way, the mainstream media are changing their story.
For two reasons. First, Republicans have won the House and are already starting investigations to show that Joe Biden lied and was the ‘Big Guy’ raking in his 10 per cent.
Their recent first report has been almost totally ignored by the mainstream media and its Australian echo chamber. But as hearings begin in the New Year, the mainstream want to be able to say: ‘Nothing new here. We’ve already covered that.’
The second reason the mainstream media are changing direction is that the establishment have decided that their ‘useful idiot’, Biden, is in fact no longer useful. This is not only because he is being exposed as the Manchurian candidate this column warned of as long ago as 24 October 2020, but also because he is threatening to stand in 2024.
The ultimate treachery the mainstream media plans is to block Trump or any good Republican candidate from becoming President and making America great again.’https://spectator.com.au/2022/12/taking-out-the-trash/
