‘If the Biden-Harris ticket prevails, would their Green climate policies take hold? It would come if the President exhausted his options in the courts and falls short. This is how the 2000 presidential election concluded, causing Al Gore to concede to George W. Bush 37 days after election day.
Upon declaring himself President-elect, Joe Biden reaffirmed his commitment to fight “the battle to save the climate” and to re-enter the Paris Climate Accords.
A Biden administration will have a huge impact on climate policies by controlling the Environmental Protection Agency, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and the Interior Department as the leading rule-making agencies for Green policies. More than likely, gas pipeline construction will be denied permits, fossil fuel drilling on federal lands refused, carbon emission standards tightened on industry, and wetlands and logging restrictions re-imposed.
Literally dozens of environmental orders are likely forthcoming from a Biden presidency that would reverse Trump administration actions, and impose costlier, anti-competitive energy burdens on American industry, jobs and households.
The question, however, arises: why is Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez sounding sullen these days? She supported Joe Biden for president (after his nomination at the Democratic convention last August), and drafted his climate policies in the Unity Task Force recommendations.
The answer is that congressional elections did not go well for Democrats. As Joe Biden leads in the presidential count, the Democratic Party unexpectedly took losses in Congress. Several Democratic lawmakers, including 3rd ranking House member, James Clyburn, are publicly blaming the Party’s progressive agenda championed by AOC, Sen. Bernie Sanders and others.
AOC rejects the criticism and is on the defensive. “It’s irresponsible to pour gasoline on what [are] already very delicate tensions in the Party,” she said. She went on, “I don’t even know if I want to be in politics.”
These are not the sentiments of a jubilant, victorious politician.
While Democrats and most pollsters expected Mr. Biden to win the presidency, they also expected to take full control of Congress: first, by expanding their majority in the House of Representatives; second, by taking majority control of the U.S. Senate where Republicans had twice the number of seats at stake and where the Democrats heavily outspent them. Neither occurred.
Instead, Democrats will dwindle to a very narrow House majority to perhaps a handful of seats above the minimum 218, as Republicans are likely to capture a dozen or more seats held by Democratic incumbents. In the Senate, Republicans have at least 50 of the 100 seats, with two Senate run-off races in Georgia to be decided in January.
Even if Biden becomes president, a bare majority in the House and likely continued minority position in the Senate will make progressive climate policies far more difficult to pass into law, if not impossible. In particular, Congress has the power of the purse. Even a modest Green New Deal labeled something else would cost trillions of new taxpayer dollars to impose carbon mandates and “create” green energy jobs. They have no mandate from the voters.
Another reason for climate policy proponents like AOC to be concerned is hydro-fracturing for natural gas, which they oppose. Joe Biden insisted during the fall campaign that he did not oppose fracking, despite taking the opposite position for more than year prior. Kamala Harris said, “Joe Biden will not ban fracking. That is a fact,” though she claimed no reversal for herself. Biden also claimed he was not for the Green New Deal, and Harris refused to mention it, even though both were on record in support. Evidently, both understood the political risk of going big and ostentatious on climate policies.
Lastly, should Mr. Biden end up as president and re-enter the Paris Accords, the Republicans should insist it come before the Senate as a treaty, which requires two-thirds approval, pursuant to the U.S. Constitution. International deals of this magnitude on any subject are manifestly illegal for any president alone to commit the nation. A Biden refusal to do so could trigger Senate Republicans to deny funding its implementation, if they dare.
President Trump and his administration took a balanced approach between economic and environmental issues. A Biden administration would reverse many such executive actions. ‘The hospitality industry in Australia’s state of New South Wales is being recruited by the local government to make sure that their patrons’ personal data like names and other details are logged and kept electronically via the use of a QR code.
The establishments who fail to “catalog” their customers in this way will face penalties.
The system, integrated into a state-produced app, goes live on November 23, and the reason behind it is said to be to ensure strict coronavirus contact tracing.
In Australia, however, those “venturing out” to lunch or coffee, but also to get married or attend a funeral, can now expect to be recorded with their contact details, while the authorities are reportedly giving these establishments a free hand at retaining this electronic data.
But that’s not all, as the new rules apply to anything from crematoria, aquariums, education, and amusement facilities, auction houses, beauty salons, party houses, pubs, brothels, and of course, government facilities.
The state government in NSW introduced the QR code scanner designed to trace contacts of potentially infected people back in September, to be implemented in hospitality establishments as well as in Service NSW – a government agency that provides access to its services online, by phone or in person, including the state’s transport, fair trading, births, deaths, and marriages.
In other words, it’s pretty comprehensive and used by everyone – who will now have to be logged for contact tracing.
But Minister for Customer Service (of Service NSW) Victor Dominello spelled it out: “We have to move away from the walk-in culture to the check-in culture.”
And if the internet fails, the recommendation is to use spreadsheets to keep track of people (specifically Excel, the same program that’s already caused problems in the UK where Public Health England lost close to 16,000 COVID-19 test results thanks to these Microsoft products.)

‘A Louisiana investment adviser was sentenced Tuesday to six years in prison for his part in a $3.5 million fraud that involved Texas megachurch pastor, Kirbyjon Caldwell.
The adviser, Gregory Alan Smith, was also ordered to pay nearly $3.6 million restitution and a $100,000 fine, said Acting U.S. Attorney Alexander C. Van Hook in a news release.
Caldwell is the former senior pastor of Windsor Village United Methodist Church, a 14,000-member megachurch in Houston, Texas. Caldwell also served as a spiritual advisor to Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama.
According to the release, Smith persuaded multiple victims to invest approximately $3.5 million with his co-defendant, Pastor Caldwell. Specifically, Smith convinced the victims to invest in historical Chinese bonds, which he promised would yield exponential returns. However, Van Hook said the bonds were issued by the former Republic of China prior to losing power to the communist government and held no value.
Smith, Caldwell, and others divided the $3.5 million gained in the scheme, Van Hook said. Smith got more than $1 million, which he used to pay down loans, buy two luxury SUVs, make a down payment on vacation property and maintain his lifestyle, according to prosecutors.
Caldwell used about $900,000 to maintain his lifestyle and to pay down personal loans and mortgages, prosecutors said in an earlier news release. That release also noted that Caldwell had made partial restitution to the victims and agreed to pay the remaining $1.95 million before sentencing.
“This case proves that even those you trust to have your best interest at heart sometimes may not,” Van Hook said. “The victims in this case thought their trusted advisor and friend would never lead them astray but sadly, he was merely a con man who led them down an unwanted path.”
Caldwell, like Smith, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit wire fraud in March and prosecutors dropped other counts against both men.
U.S. District Judge S. Maurice Hicks Jr. said Smith will be on supervised probation for three years after he gets out of prison.
Caldwell is scheduled for sentencing Dec. 3.
Despite his crime, Caldwell is still prominently featured on his church’s website remains a “lay preacher” at Windsor Village. Now that the China virus is somewhat old news the climate change scammers are out in force. So, ‘According to CNN global warming is making shark attacks worse. And if you’re wondering how a shark attack could get worse, does it mean they’re becoming more frequent over time? No, CNN admits “It’s not that there has been a sharp increase in shark attacks in Australia overall — there have been 21 shark incidents this year, which is normal and consistent with previous years.” Then what changed? “The difference,” they say, “is in the fatality rate.” So the number of fatalities has been rising? Nope: “[The] average of one death per year has stayed stable for the past 50 years.” But this year there have been seven shark attack deaths. Must be climate change right? Except that “There are a number of possible explanations — several experts have pointed out that year-by-year figures always fluctuate, and this could be simple bad luck.” But surely seven is the most ever. Again no. “The last time the country had seven shark attack deaths a year was 1934, according to a spokesperson from the Taronga Conservation Society Australia. The highest annual figure on record dates back to 1929, with nine deaths.” Undeterred, CNN concluded “But there’s another possible culprit: the climate crisis.”
How does that one work? Well, “As oceans heat up, entire ecosystems are being destroyed and forced to adapt. Fish are migrating where they’ve never gone before. Species’ behaviors are changing. And, as the marine world transforms, sharks are following their prey and moving closer to shores popular with humans.” See?
No. We don’t see. The story itself admits the number of shark incidents is the same as it always was. So it’s not a matter of sharks and their prey being closer to humans. And if the climate crisis is causing the sharks to be hungrier or bite harder, why is it that, as CNN notes, “there were no shark attack deaths in Australia in 2019” even though last year they said the climate crisis was so bad it was burning all the forests in Australia.
And furthermore if it’s climate change, but the number of deaths hasn’t been rising for fifty years, does that mean climate change only kicked in in 2020? If the number of shark fatalities is a proxy for climate change, and it has been constant for 50 years, does that mean there was no climate change?
Moreover global warming is global, so if in response “sharks are following their prey and moving closer to shores popular with humans” then attacks should be surging everywhere. And they’re not.
One final point should be pondered. If the number of shark attacks in Australia is rising because of sudden warming, to levels not seen since the 1930s, it could be that the late 1920s and early 1930s were as hot as it is today, saving the shark-warming link but implying today’s warming was matched in decades past. It’s a tendentious reading of the data. But a heck of a lot better than saying roughly one fatality a year for half a century then a spike in 2020 is a hockey stick proving man-made climate change is going to kill us all even if it has to swim up from beneath us to do it.
Thus the CNN story expires with one last gory upheaval: “On land, Australia’s climate crisis has led to raging bush fires, extreme heatwaves, and one of the worst droughts on record. But it has also slammed the oceans with acidification and rising temperatures, which can wreak havoc on entire ecosystems.”

The case caused a sensation in Germany. On December 6, 2019, a “young man” known to the police who had travel documents for Turkey, Lebanon and Germany killed a 49-year-old family man for a trivial reason. Now a court in Augsburg, where the crime took place, delivered the verdict : Compact 4.5 years imprisonment for the notorious violent criminal.
The manslaughterer attracted negative disciplinary attention a total of 32 times while in remand. The 17-year-old at the time of the crime was traveling with two accomplices. They scrounged for a cigarette from the German Roland S., he didn’t feel like giving them one and evidently pushed one of the immigrant hobby boxers aside. That was his death sentence. The principal culprit hit him in the head so hard that a cerebral artery tore. He died shortly after the attack; any help came too late. The “young men” smashed half the face of the man’s companion, and he survived.
Fire-fighters and the public appalled
The German’s death particularly aroused the public and his former colleagues, because he had served as a lifesaver in the fire department for a long time. He was considered loving and helpful, and would never have expressed himself negatively towards migrants. He left a wife and a daughter. The pictures of the grieving firefighters went around the world.
Not the first assault
There was no sign of remorse in the defendant. He appealed to self-defense and emergency aid. In prison, he boasted that he had already killed someone. In ten months of pretrial detention, he had to be disciplined for 32 offenses. Eventually the defendants apologized and blamed their behavior on their alcohol consumption. The principal culprit already had a court file and was given a “judicial warning” for assault and theft. The raised index finger and a loud “Naughty, naughty, naughty” were not likely to have been of any real use to the hot-blooded migrant youth.
Verdict well below the maximum penalty
The judge believed that a 4.5 year sentence “in the name of the people” would be appropriate and the accomplices got away with conditional prison sentences. Soon the Turkish-Lebanese “German” will be able to brag freely about his heroic deeds again. The maximum punishment for manslaughter in Germany is 10 years imprisonment even according to youth criminal law. Then the act would have had to be particularly bad and the perpetrator would have to be particularly unreasonable or even have a risk of repetition – features that the judge could probably rule out. Or else, the Germans who have been living in Germany for a long time have to come to terms with the fact that one of their lives is worth a maximum of 4.5 years in prison. You shouldn’t get the idea of doing “stupid things” either, because in Germany you go to prison for 10 years for igniting a firecracker in front of a backyard mosque. The book encourages little children to follow the gender path they feel like they are inside. And we wonder why increasing numbers of children nationally are confused about who they are and are struggling with mental disorders!
Children are being brainwashed into adopting a transgender lifestyle before they even enter school. This path, followed to its logical conclusion, ends up with pre-pubescent children receiving hormone treatment, followed by surgical mutilation, infertility, and a lifetime of tortured regret.

Dr. Michael Osterholm, who serves as director of the Center of Infectious Disease Research and Policy at the University of Minnesota, said that while the country is locked down, people could be paid for lost wages.
Over the past several months, Congress has failed to reach an agreement on a stimulus package, including expanded unemployment benefits, stimulus payments, small business loans, and other measures. The first one was passed in March, including $1,200 payments, loans, and $600-per-week federal weekly unemployment benefits.
“We could pay for a package right now to cover all of the wages, lost wages for individual workers for losses to small companies to medium-sized companies or city, state, county governments. We could do all of that,” Osterholm told Yahoo. “If we did that, then we could lockdown for four-to-six weeks.”
Biden was named to his “advisory board” earlier this week. Former Surgeon General Vivek Murthy, former Food and Drug Administration Commissioner David Kessler, Dr. Marcella Nunez-Smith of Yale University, Dr. Atul Gawande of Harvard, and Dr. Rick Bright are on the panel.
President Donald Trump did not concede the race after Biden declared victory over the past weekend. The Epoch Times will not call the race in favor of either candidate until all legal challenges are exhausted and the Electoral College meets to render the final decision on the presidency.
Osterholm and Minneapolis Federal Reserve President Neel Kashkari wrote in the New York Times in August that more restrictive lockdowns are needed across the United States.
“The problem with the March-to-May lockdown was that it was not uniformly stringent across the country. For example, Minnesota deemed 78 percent of its workers essential,” they said. “To be effective, the lockdown has to be as comprehensive and strict as possible.”
“We could really watch ourselves cruising into the vaccine availability in the first and second quarter of next year while bringing back the economy long before that,” Osterholm said Wednesday, without providing many details on how that could be accomplished. In the Yahoo interview, Osterholm also appeared to tie the recovery to the availability of a vaccine.
Osterholm, like Biden, also said in another interview the United States is heading for dark days over the coming winter.
“We have some very dark months ahead of us. Australia’s Senator Pauline Hanson speaks her mind and when she does I usually agree with her. The Great Reset of capitalism aims to take advantage of the chaos and disruption caused by the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus (novel coronavirus) pandemic to revamp “all aspects of our societies and economies.”
Hanson said the polices of the Great Reset would destroy Australia’s economy, “push socialist and neo-Marxist policies” onto Australians, and “pave the way for big controlling government, suppression of free speech, and reduced property rights.”
The proposal was defeated 2 – 37 after the Liberals and the Nationals allied with Labor and the Greens.
“It is an absolute travesty that the Australian Government has sided with the globalists of the World Economic Forum and their Great Reset agenda against the interests of everyday Australians,” Hanson told The Epoch Times in a statement.
“This is a group of global lefty elites—billionaires, business executives, and celebrities—who think they know better than us how to run our own country,” she said.
However, South Australian Liberal Senator Anne Ruston rejected “the notion of boycotting discussions” on the Great Reset.
She said the government participates in a variety of international forums designed to enhance collaboration but would not be part of any agreements that don’t reflect Australia’s values or interests.
Victorian Greens Senator Janet Rice also rose to express opposition to the motion where she accused Hanson of “running scared of Agenda 21, the Illuminati, and the shadowy cabals that supposedly control the world.”
Rice described the Great Reset agenda as a modest WEF initiative that aims for global cooperation to manage the direct consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“The truth is, unless we take this pandemic seriously and cooperate globally, dying of coronavirus actually has a much more serious impact on your individual freedoms and your economic freedoms,” Rice said.
But what Rice described as a modest initiative, Prince Charles—a strong proponent of the Great Reset—described as “a chance to remake nations across the planet.”
For Hanson and others, the Great Reset agenda is seeking to capitalise on the pandemic to “overturn lives, push control agendas, and meddle in social systems in countries across the world.”
“This so-called reset is absolute rubbish and we should make a stand to play no part in it, to protect Australians and our way of life,” Hanson said.
What is the ‘Great Reset’?
Justin Haskins, editor-in-chief of StoppingSocialism.com and the editorial director of The Heartland Institute, wrote about the Great Reset in an op-ed for The Epoch Times in July.
Global leaders, including Prince Charles, met at a virtual meeting held in June to call for a Great Reset of capitalism.
Haskins said that many of those at the meeting support the elimination of the world’s current capitalist system and have promoted socialist policies—such as wealth taxes, Green New Deal-like programs, and national job guarantees and government incomes.
“Among those who spoke at the event or expressed their support separately for the plan were Ma Jun, the chairman of the Green Finance Committee at the China Society for Finance and Banking and a member of the Monetary Policy Committee of the People’s Bank of China; António Guterres, the secretary-general of the United Nations; powerful union leaders; activists from groups such as Greenpeace International; CEOs and presidents of large corporations such as BP, MasterCard, and Microsoft; and officials from the International Monetary Fund.
“But the person who has most clearly articulated the vision of the Great Reset is Klaus Schwab, the head of the World Economic Forum and one of the Reset’s most ardent supporters,” Haskins wrote.
“Every country, from the United States to China, must participate, and every industry, from oil and gas to tech, must be transformed,” Schwab wrote in an article published on WEF’s website. “In short, we need a ‘Great Reset’ of capitalism.”
Schwab also said that “all aspects of our societies and economies” must be “revamped,” “from education to social contracts and working conditions.”
Haskins wrote that as terrifying as this might sound the worst was yet to come.
At the June event, the WEF announced that the Great Reset agenda would be the focus of its next annual event in Davis, scheduled for January 2021.
“At the Davos meeting, powerful business leaders, government officials, activists, and academics will promote the Great Reset and coordinate a massive worldwide campaign to promote their agenda,” Haskins wrote.
For Haskins, the Great Reset agenda is a “dangerous moment for freedom, both in the United States and across the planet.”
