They are among the world’s most densely populated and poorest countries – fertile ground for Sars-Cov-2.
So the epidemic must be out of control from Karachi to Jakata, right?

It’s almost as if Covid-19 infection waves have a predictable natural course over a two- to three-month period – a sharp rise and nearly equally sharp decline.
It’s almost as if the virus then disappears as many, many people gain natural immunity – including many younger people who never knew they were infected at all because the coronavirus is barely dangerous to them.
It’s almost as if an English epidemiologist named William Farr noted the way epidemics waxed and waned more than 150 years ago.
Speaking of England, let’s take a look at the United Kingdom, which vaccinated more of its citizens with advanced vaccines against Sars-Cov-2 more quickly than any other big Western country.
The epidemic must be done there, right?
Well. This is weird.
Britain’s post-vaccination wave just doesn’t seem to want to end. New cases have been stuck at a very high level for five months. And deaths – although lower than they were at the peak of the winter wave – have not gone away and in fact are now rising.
It’s almost as if mass vaccinations of powerful but imperfect vaccines have made the epidemic worse in the United Kingdom (and across Europe and the United States) by interfering with the natural course of the epidemic and the development of natural immunity.
Almost.

How in the world could there be any universe where we would approve a shot, much less promote and force it in many settings, when there is a possibility of greater harm than benefit, when the harm is man-made and the virus is left to chance? They know quite well that this approval will eventually lead to soft and hard mandates, which have already begun in California schools.

Unvaccinated NSW residents have essentially been living under lockdown conditions while the rest of the state enjoys new freedoms.
Those who haven’t been fully vaccinated were due to get the same freedoms as vaccinated residents on December 1, but Mr Perrottet set a new goalpost for unvaccinated people last week.
When announcing changes to the roadmap, the Premier said unvaccinated people wouldn’t enjoy new freedoms until the state hits its 95 per cent double dose target or December 15 – whichever comes first.
Jobs Minister Stuart Ayres said the decision was made to protect the wider community.
“We have exceeded our expectations and because of that we are able to make some prudent changes that allow people who are fully vaccinated to be able to do more things slightly earlier,” he said.
“But we will also take that same prudent decision by just holding back unvaccinated people for another couple of weeks.
“It’s in line with the decision we made around not allowing people to travel into regional NSW until we had slightly higher rates of vaccination.

Follow the money for ‘Pfizer Tuesday announced it expects to earn $36 billion in revenue this year from its COVID vaccine — an increase from the previous estimate of $33.5 billion.
Pfizer’s COVID vaccine, developed with BioNTech, has quickly become the highest-selling drug in the world. During an earnings call, Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla said the vaccine contributed $13 billion in revenue during the third quarter alone, bringing total revenue this year to $24.3 billion.
Pfizer said its profit margin on the vaccine, before taxes and after splitting profit with BioNTech, is the “high 20s,” which means vaccine profits could approach $10 billion just for Pfizer this year.
The sales estimate for 2021 is equivalent to roughly 80% of what Pfizer believes the rest of its business will earn in 2021.
The company forecasted $29 billion in sales in 2022, based on 1.7 billion doses committed to purchasing contracts.
