‘One of the silver linings to the Covid cloud is that we now know who “they” are. You know, the mysterious “they” who “say.” As it turns out, “they” are lawless politicians, media propagandists, ignorant experts, and deluded educators. Everything “they” have been telling us for 18 months is nonsense. We know it. They know we know it. And still they speak.
They (as personified recently by President Biden) are getting increasingly shrill, frustrated that they have not yet made everyone insane like them.
But who is crazy – them, or us? It’s hard to believe that mental illness could be as pervasive as it seems to be. We have a strong bias against recognizing mass hysteria. Here are some reality checks for those moments when it seems like you’re the last sane person on Earth.
Absurdity #1: Doing the same thing and expecting different results
An unending need for more Covid booster shots would be proof the shots don’t work. “C’mon, man! Get a shot! The shot will protect you! But not this shot, the next shot. No, I mean the one after the next one – that one will really…you know the thing….”
No, sorry. That’s cuckoo.
I got vaccinated so that fearful people would be reassured that it was safe to be around me, and do business with me. And it does give me a sense (justified or not) that I’m safer. But if two shots aren’t enough, then I’m done. More of what doesn’t work won’t work.
Absurdity #2: Believing contradictory things
“They” will say at 10:00 in the morning that everyone should get vaccinated, to protect us from The Covid. Then they’ll say at 10:02 that the vaccinated should wear masks to protect us from The Covid. Well, which is it? If the shots are effective, no vaccinated person should wear a mask. Ever. Freedom from the face diaper is your reward for getting the vaccine – and it would be proof to the skeptical that the vaccines work. It undercuts their position to say, “vaccines work, but wear a mask.”
These nutjobs may really believe the shots protect you, and simultaneously don’t protect you. Somehow. They live in their own scrambled mental universe where something can be itself and its opposite in the same way at the same time.
As President Biden really said in his speech announcing (illegal) vaccine mandates, “We are going to protect the vaccinated workers from unvaccinated coworkers.”
Huh? If your vaccination doesn’t protect you from the virus, how is giving someone else the same ineffective shot going to help you? Total lunacy.
Absurdity #3: Liars demanding to be believed
This one hardly needs elaboration. The frauds who’ve told us one falsehood after another for a year-and-a-half always insist that they are telling the truth this time; that they have only our best interests at heart, and if we don’t comply, they’ll shoot. Because, compassion.
But to give just one example, answer this question: How many Americans have died from The Covid? Now, that should be a pretty solid number. Out of respect for those who have died, not to mention the interests of science and public policy, we should know that number within a small margin of error. But the CDC number is a myth, everyone knows it’s a myth, and “they” know that we know it’s a myth. The real number is not known, and because of the shenanigans they’ve played with incentives and data, it can never be known.
It’s very cynical to lie to people about life-and-death stuff. Or more likely, psychotic. But liars will keep lying to you as long as you keep listening.
Absurdity #4: Insisting on inconsistency
“The vaccine is safe,” they tell us. Yes, as far as we know now, it is – judging by the usual standard of safety for this sort of thing. We call many drugs and treatments “safe” if only a fraction of a percentage of users get sick and die from taking them. Nothing is absolutely “safe” for everyone. We don’t expect that – that would be loony.
But if we were to apply that customary, sane, and normal standard to SARS-CoV-2, we would find that it, too, is “safe.” Few people get The Covid; those who do get it usually don’t get very sick from it; those who do get sick are not likely to die from it. Why is The Covid somehow different from every other danger that mankind has ever faced? Hint: it is not.
Then why is it treated differently?
If we were to apply our Zero Tolerance Covid Policy to other hazards, no one would ever get in a car again. And why don’t we have masking and vax mandates for children exposed to the seasonal flu, which really does kill children? The fact that they do not think about The Covid like they think about anything else is a sign that they’re not thinking straight.
If we’re going to reclaim our individual and collective sanity, we’ll have to deal just as rationally with the dangers posed by The Covid as we do the dangers posed by sugar, swimming pools, and SUVs. We’ll take reasonable precautions, and then go on with our lives.
I wonder whether, if we had kept our heads in the early days of the pandemic instead of allowing them to inflate The Covid into the ultimate bogeyman, we would be over and done with all this by now. More natural immunity, fewer variants, no excuses for carpet-bombing the economy, no endless wars against normality and sanity.
It seems that they’ve “flattened the curve” out to infinity, and the most likely explanation is that they don’t want the suffering and the disruption to end. “Never let a crisis go to waste” is the cry of a sociopath who will prolong a crisis, or create one if none turns up. And we have a lot of those folks.
We’re sane. They’re not. It’s time we told them to “Sell crazy someplace else; we’re all stocked up here.”‘http://www.renewamerica.com/columns/popp/210914
The Australian Federal Government does not allow doctors to prescribe other treatments such as Ivermectin so the citizen is being forced to take what Big Pharma sells. The UAP isn’t swallowing the Kool Aid and is fighting back.
There’s still hope for Australia!
‘UAP Chairman Clive Palmer says he welcomes the legal threats made by the head of the TGA, John Skerritt, against the Federal Leader of the United Australia Party, Craig Kelly.
“Any legal action against Craig Kelly or the United Australia Party will provide an opportunity to subpoena and cross examine John Skerritt and Greg Hunt about each of the 483 deaths which have been reported to the TGA and the 75 pages of over 46,000 reported adverse reactions.
“If John Skerrit seeks a legal confrontation by threatening to take Craig Kelly – a member of the House of Representatives who has sworn to protect all Australians – to court I am sure the truth will be revealed.
“All Mr Kelly did was publish the TGA’s own reports which all Australians have a right to know,” Mr Palmer said.
“The TGA report clearly highlights that the COVID-19 vaccine treatment has been responsible the deaths of 483 Australians and over 46,000 adverse reactions,” he said.
“We would welcome any chance to see Professor Skerritt cross-examined under oath so the truth can be heard about the vaccinations and the harmful effects they have on thousands of Australians.
“The United Australia Party would like to hold the Government to account for providing pharmaceutical companies with a full indemnity if they kill or cause harm to Australians being administered COVID vaccines,” Mr Palmer said.
“We would be questioning why the Government has given the pharmaceutical companies an indemnity for any claims related to the injuries and deaths their vaccines may cause.
“It should be concerning for all Australians that we don’t have the required one, three or five-year safety data for the use of this vaccine on humans or animals, and there has been no safety testing on pregnant women or children,” Mr Palmer said.
“History has shown that governments have often been wrong. That propaganda and cover-ups have often taken place. That millions have died because people in authority lack the courage and the proprietary to follow through with the principles and ethics of their calling,” Mr Palmer said.
“John Skerritt is incompetent and should resign from his position immediately.
“The Hight Court of Australia has reconfirmed the implied term in our constitution of political free speech.
“The United Australia Party is a registered political party under the electoral act and Craig Kelly is member of the House of Representatives and therefore has the right of free political communication with all Australians,” Mr Palmer said.’https://www.unitedaustraliaparty.org.au/uap-welcomes-legal-threats-from-tga-and-the-labor-party/
The Australian way to apartheid is through the Wuhan flu vaccination program!
‘The end of Covid is nigh, thanks to the miracle of vaccines. Just ask Dr. Anthony Fauci. Then ask him again. And again. And…
Hedge fund managers sometimes joke the stock market has predicted nine of the last five recessions.
And then there’s Anthony Fauci.
Here he is on Nov. 12, 2020 – just after Pfizer released the first data showing its vaccines were 90-plus percent effective (don’t ask at what):

Can you be more specific, doc?
He sure could.
A month later:

If America’s Doctor (TM) says it, you can believe it!
Maybe. Three months later – in March 2021, about when we were supposed to be hitting herd immunity – we were a mere four to six months away!
Woke math is the best.

And here we are, in late summer, heading for early fall. Pandemic’s gotta be over, right? Let’s partaaaay! Hot Vaxxed Fall!
Yeah, about that…

It’s almost as if the vaccines aren’t helping at all.
Almost.
But that can’t be right.’https://alexberenson.substack.com/p/moving-target
‘Welcome to our coverage of NSW’s Covid-19 situation.
The state is well on its way to its 70 per cent double dose vaccination goal – after 75 per cent of people received their first jab – prompting NSW’s Crisis Cabinet to confirm last night that October 18 would be the day restaurants, bars and retail would open for fully vaccinated people.’https://www.news.com.au/world/coronavirus/australia/live-breaking-news-suburbs-where-covid-is-spiking-as-nsws-freedom-day-announced/news-story/7a361e09a79338bb534e9b8e6acecc6c
Australia claims to be a democracy and yet with this Wuhan Flu scamdemic the Australian government will only allow their “approved” vaccinations to be used! Therefore other alternatives such as Ivermectin is NOT allowed! Well, things are different in the land of Sleepy Joe and the Evil devilcrats ‘Podcast host Joe Rogan wondered if he should sue CNN after the liberal network accused him of distributing misinformation after taking ivermectin, an antiparasitic drug that has recently prompted federal health warnings, during his battle with COVID-19.
Rogan shared with his listeners over the weekend that he had contracted the coronavirus and used several drugs in his treatment, including ivermectin, a controversial admission after the Food and Drug Administration and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention urged consumers against the use of ivermectin as treatment for COVID-19.
Rogan said the drug had been prescribed by his doctor and he credited it with helping his recovery, but CNN medical analyst Dr. Jonathan Reiner suggested that Rogan was leading his listeners astray.
“He’s not helping matters when he promotes this sort of nonsense therapeutic mix,” Reiner said, adding that ivermectin “doesn’t work.”
CNN anchor Jim Acosta also mentioned Rogan by name when he asked his guest Dr. Anthony Fauci to respond to “Covid disinformation” on Sunday.
Rogan pushed back on CNN’s narrative, wondering if he had to take the network to court.
Joe Rogan questions whether he should sue CNN.
“Bro, do I have to sue CNN?” Rogan said Wednesday. “They’re making s**t up. They are saying I’m taking horse dewormer. I literally got it from a doctor. It’s an American company. They won the Nobel prize in 2015 for use in human beings and CNN is saying I’m taking horse dewormer. They must know that is a lie.”
“If the internet says it, who cares,” Rogan added. “But CNN is saying it. Jim Acosta!”
Rogan mused that “haters” wanted him to have a rough case of Covid so he would “learn his lesson.”
“Because I wasn’t scared during the entire pandemic, what they would like is that when I did get sick that I was really sick and became really scared and learned my lesson,” he said. “Instead, it is the worst-case scenario for them. I bounce back about as quick as I can.”
Some media analysts appeared to agree with Rogan’s assessment.
“Lying is fine as long as it’s done to malign people their audience hates,” journalist Glenn Greenwald responded. “That is 100% the rule at liberal corporate outlets. CNN knows this. Joe Rogan’s earnest shock that Jim Acosta is lying about him is kind of endearing.”
The media was ripped this week after sharing a false report about Oklahoma hospitals being overwhelmed by patients who had overdosed on ivermectin. The story was originally reported at Oklahoma’s KFOR-TV news, and quoted testimony from Dr. Jason McElyea.
The Northeastern Hospital System would later issue a statement regarding his association with the hospitals in question, revealing that McElyea he had not worked at the location for two months nor treated any ivermectin overdoses.
The Rolling Stone, one of several outlets to report or share the story, issued an “update” following the bombshell clarification, which many readers suggested should have been updated to a retraction.’https://www.news.com.au/technology/science/human-body/joe-rogan-blasts-lies-about-covid-drug-treatment-do-i-have-to-sue-cnn/news-story/4530fa386bea75da40a3472f86a05163
‘The New England Journal of Medicine has just published a letter reporting that Covid vaccine protection among 19,000 healthcare workers in San Diego went from 94%+ March through June to 65% in July.
It also reported vaccinated and unvaccinated people were just about as likely to be symptomatic (which means they probably had similar viral loads and risks of spreading the illness – and so much for vaccines protecting people from symptomatic disease).
Worse, the 65% figure probably OVERSTATES real vaccine effectiveness, for three reasons:
1) It includes some people who were vaccinated in March and April and were still at or close to peak protection.
2) Healthcare workers are relatively young and healthy and thus more likely to have a strong immune response.
3) This included many people vaccinated with Moderna, which has a higher dose and thus may last slightly longer than Pfizer.

‘The question I get more than any other:
I had Covid. I had an antibody test to prove it. Am I protected (and do I need to get the vaccine)?
Let me start with the usual disclaimer: THIS IS NOT MEDICAL ADVICE. I AM NOT A PHYSICIAN.
But the answer is now increasingly clear: natural immunity from Covid following infection and recovery is HIGHLY protective against future Covid infections. Rates of reinfection are very low.
Perhaps natural immunity eventually wanes, but we don’t know when. In fact, a little-noticed paper from June suggests it may actually strengthen for at least a year – and provide plenty of protection from Delta and other variants.
I am not going into the problems with vaccine-generated protection today or with our political unwillingness to recognize natural immunity. (Remember, GOOD NEWS – we could all use it).
Let’s just look instead at why natural immunity works so well.
You immune response comes in two forms: “humoral” and “cellular.”
When you are infected with Sars-Cov-2, your body’s “B-cells” – part of the immune system – quickly pour out “antibodies.” These antibodies attack the viral particles circulating in your blood and other fluids, hoping to keep the virus from entering your cells and replicating itself.
This is humoral immunity. Your B-cells make antibodies in many different shapes. Some are better at sticking to the virus. Scientists call these “neutralizing” antibodies because they neutralize the “antigen,” the foreign body attacking you, keeping it from entering your cells.
Amazingly, your B-cells quickly figure out which antibodies neutralize most effectively and make more of them, while cutting back on those that don’t work.
At the same time, another part of the immune system – killer or CD8 T-cells – attacks cells that the virus has already infected. You destroy your own cells to prevent the virus from using them to make more copies of itself. This is cellular immunity.
For a few days after you are infected, your immune system is in a race with the virus. If you win the race, defeat the virus, and recover – as the vast majority of people infected with Sars-Cov-2 do – within a week or two you should have no measurable levels of virus in your body.
With no invader provoking a response, your B-cells will stop making antibodies against the virus. Over time, the antibodies you have made will slowly degrade – a change scientists can measure.
Antibody levels are measured as “titers” – how much the part of the blood that contains antibodies must be diluted before it stops neutralizing the coronavirus (or any antigen).
The details of how scientists measure titers are complicated. But the takeaway is simple – higher titers mean more antibodies in the initial sample. Higher titers are better, unless they are so high they indicate an overactive immune response. Over time, titers will decline.
But your immune system has not forgotten the virus. Both B-cells and T-cells are now trained to respond to it, should it reappear. (Confusingly, the immune system includes two types of T-cells, CD4 and CD8, and many subtypes of both B- and T-cells.)
This “adaptive” response explains why people remain immune to some viruses for their entire lives after being infected once – or inoculated with an effective vaccine.
Scientists have different ways to measure your immune response.
They can measure how tightly your antibodies bind to an antigen (the virus), how many different parts of the antigen they attack, how quickly your B- and T-cells will ramp up to make new antibodies or attack infected cells, and even whether those antibodies can recognize new variants of the original antigen.
In June, Rockefeller University researchers published a paper in Nature examining how antibodies changed up to a year after coronavirus infection and recovery.

The authors found that even “in the absence of vaccination, antibody reactivity to the receptor binding domain (RBD) of SARS-Cov-2, neutralizing activity, and the number of RBD-specific memory B-cells remain relatively stable between 6 to 12 months after infection.” (They also found that vaccination of previously infected and recovered people could boost those responses further.)
However, in a second paper published in late July, the authors found that vaccines did NOT produce a similarly powerful response in the B-cells of people who had not previously been infected. (But we’re not going to talk about that today. Good news, remember?)
In July, another group of researchers published similar findings in Cell:

Again, the authors offered reassuring findings:
Here, we evaluate 254 COVID-19 patients longitudinally up to 8 months and find durable broad-based immune responses. SARS-CoV-2 spike binding and neutralizing antibodies [have] an extended half-life of >200 days suggesting the generation of longer-lived plasma cells… Taken together, these results suggest that broad and effective immunity may persist long-term in recovered COVID-19 patients.
T-cell immunity was also durable, the authors found, and the killer T-cells could recognize not just the coronavirus’s spike protein but other parts of the virus.
(Again, the paper offered reasons to believe vaccine immunity was inferior, but we won’t talk about that, not today.)
A paper from Israel released Sunday reported that antibody titers in people who had recovered from infection fell only 5 percent a month (titers in the vaccinated fell 40 percent a month, though from a higher baseline).
Even better, between four and nine months after infection, the percentage of people with low titers remained roughly flat, at 10 percent.

All these papers should increase our confidence that natural immunity is durable and powerful. But what about real-world data?
Fortunately, we now have several studies examining large groups of previously infected people. In perhaps the most striking, the Cleveland Clinic reported in June a reinfection rate of zero among 1,359 people with natural immunity:
Not one of the 1359 previously infected subjects who remained unvaccinated had a SARS-CoV-2 infection over the duration of the study.
Source: https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2021.06.01.21258176v2
(The political pressure for vaccination is such that the Cleveland Clinic then issued a press release basically pretending the study didn’t say what it did. But we won’t talk about that today, good news, etc.)
And this week, Israeli researchers looking at a much larger group of people also found very, very low reinfection rates. Only 19 out of 16,215 people with natural immunity had a second infection from June 1 to August 14 (far fewer than the number of vaccinated people who were infected in a matched group).
These findings are particularly important because the Delta variant accounted for nearly all coronavirus infections in Israel by this summer. In other words, natural immunity remained protective against Delta.
Source: https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2021.08.24.21262415v1.full-text
So there’s your good news. Both the theoretical bench work and the real-world data suggest that natural immunity is long-lasting and protective even against Sars-Cov-2 variants that can evade vaccines.
I’ll leave it to you to decide whether that means you need a vaccine if you have already had and recovered from Covid.’https://alexberenson.substack.com/p/natural-immunity-for-the-win
