If Sleepy Joe makes it six months I will be surprised. Therefore, ‘Congratulations, President Harris (pronouns: she/her)! At last, the United States of Mutual Loathing will lead the world by having a female president, just like lots of other countries managed decades ago, and without making a dumb fuss or giving a patronizing lecture.
And thank you, Joe Biden (pronouns: he/c’mon man), for accepting the presidency on Kamala’s behalf on the kind of raw day when you should be indoors with a tartan blanket on your legs and the remote in your hand. And thank you to our new surgeon-general, Dr Jill, for propping him up, making sure he stayed awake, and reminding him not to sniff Lady Gaga’s hair.
This inauguration looked less like Joe Biden’s big day than a dress rehearsal for his state funeral. The elderly audience was spaced like the crowd on the bleachers of a failing minor-league team. The speeches, with Amy Klobuchar emceeing with the gravitas of a principal at PTA night, sounded like a motivational lecture from a parallel universe. The turns, Lady Gaga and Jennifer Lopez, were a senior’s idea of what the kids would like. Both comported themselves with MILF-like dignity. So did Doug Emhoff, who appeared to be wearing an outsized PVC bondage mask.
Administrations are meant to look exhausted on their way out, not their way in. But the elderly Democrats on the stage on Wednesday looked exhausted — worn down by Trump, worn down by their manufactured hatred for him, worn down by the fear and failures of COVID, worn down by the burden of wealth. And no one looks more worn down and less likely to step up than Joe Biden.
The networks have been gushing about the restoration all week, apart from Fox, which is having a nervous breakdown. So Biden’s speech will be described as a triumphant call for ‘unity’ and a return to normality, even though the unanimous follies and corrupt normality of the Biden class are what created the Trump presidency in the first place. Make no mistake: the professionals are back, as rich, entitled and useless as ever.
Say what you like about Trump’s ‘American carnage’ speech, but at least it caught the imagination. Biden approached the mic with the resolve of a man who’s had a double dose of denture paste and a little blue pill, but his speech was the usual blue-rinsed anticlimax.
Two paragraphs of coherence before the left side of his mouth drops down like he’s having a mini-stroke. Twenty minutes of gasping and croaking, the words sliding out of the other side of his mouth without rhythm or sense, the pin eyes visibly lost and fearful. And the inevitable flubs and malapropisms — ‘rural and Ural’ instead of ‘rural and urban’. Xi and Putin and Rouhani will be quaking in their boots, once they stop laughing.
A great politician knows how to lie. Biden doesn’t even know what he’s saying. Perhaps it would have gone better if he’d said it 30 years ago. Perhaps it would have gone faster if Hunter had chopped one out for him before showtime. It was a slow agony, a taste of the short and pratfall-filled presidency to come.
What Americans need is jobs, schools, healthcare and halfway reliable elections. What we got was Wheezy Joe getting weirdly angry about the need for sub-religious healing, how racism is finally over, and how American democracy, which is a bad joke at home and a laughing-stock abroad, is actually invincible and the global future. And also the Pledge of Allegiance delivered with sign language in a sort of politically-correct TikTok dance.
The rest of the world was told that American is back — a promise sure to alarm the US’s friends more than it comforts its enemies — and that the US is going to lead the world again. But the world doesn’t want American leadership. It doesn’t want anything from America at all, really, apart from rap music and porn. It doesn’t want the American normal either. Even the Americans are sick of that.
This was an old, tired speech from a lifer in an old, tired system. It was as the Biden presidency shall be: a placeholder for that short interlude before the American oligarchy resumes the hardening of its defenses against its subjects: before the Harris presidency, before the corporatist cash-out that is the Green New Deal, before the domestic terrorism legislation which will turn the failures of the War on Terror into the successful repression of free speech, one of the only things that America still produces. So help us God.’ https://spectator.us/topic/welcome-harris-presidency-biden-inauguration/
I would have been more surprised if the judge had gone Parler’s way. Me thinks the justice system in the USA just might lean a little to the Left in how it reads the law!
‘The judge in the Parler vs Amazon case has denied Parler’s request for a temporary restraining order against Amazon.
“Parler has failed to meet the standard set by Ninth Circuit and U.S. Supreme Court precedent for issuance of a preliminary injunction,” Judge Barbara Jacobs Rothstein wrote in her conclusion.
Although the judge did note that her order was not to say that Parler didn’t have any substantial claims, but that “Parler has fallen far short, however, of demonstrating, as it must, that it has raised serious questions going to the merits of its claims, or that the balance of hardships tips sharply in its favor.
“It has also failed to demonstrate that it is likely to prevail on the merits of any of its three claims; that the balance of equities tips in its favor, let alone strongly so; or that the public interests lie in granting the injunction,” the judge concluded.
Parler, a free speech Twitter alternative, was hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS). On Sunday January 10th, Parler went offline after it was banned from AWS.‘ https://reclaimthenet.org/judge-denies-parlers-request-for-temporary-restraining-order-against-amazon/
The West has really no where to go now that Biden/Harris are in charge. China has pretty much free reign over the rest of us and Australia is pretty much ready for the picking.
‘The war being conducted by the Chinese Communist Party against the democratic, free world, particularly Australia has predictable and understandable strategies. Under the Xi Jinping dictatorship, clear principles of war are on display drawn from the Chinese warrior philosopher Sun Tzu laid down some 2000 years ago in The Art of War.
Perhaps the most relevant war technique being applied against Australia is to ‘win without fighting’. This Sun Tzu strategy seeks to ‘use the enemy to defeat the enemy.’ That is, the object of the Xi dictatorship is for Australians to conclude that we cannot win against the might of China. Consequently, we must kowtow to Xi’s dictates. The CCP has and is having success in this regard.
Xi’s strategic success is demonstrated in a recently released book by Geoff Raby Australia’s ambassador to China 2007-11. In China’s Grand Strategy and Australia’s Future in the New Global Order Raby claims that the US is a declining Asian power. China is in the ascendancy. Further that the USA is an unreliable partner unlikely to come to Australia’s defence if needed. And because Australia is economically dependent on China we have to accept a new global order dictated by China’s CCP.
Raby seems to include influential Australian’s such Hugh White, Paul Keating, Bob Carr and billionaires Kerry Stokes and Andrew Forrest and their media cheerleaders as adherence to this new world order ‘reality.’ If true the CCPs is succeeding. Witness the current Premiers of Victoria and Western Australia who seem smitten with Raby’s China future.
According to Raby, central to this reality is that Australia must accept that China is “more comfortable with tyranny than democracy, but on which Australia’s economic wellbeing and security in the region rest…”
Such an idea is scary. How does ‘tyranny’ equate to Australia’s ‘security.’ Are we to accept the CCP’s genocide in Xinjiang and Tibet as the new world order? Does the turning of Hong Kong into a freedom suppression, CCP internment camp, not assault Australian values? Are we to accept an (inevitable?) CCP invasion of democratic, free Taiwan with a predictable massacre as okay? Are Australia’s ‘values’ entirely economic? Surely we are better than that? ‘https://spectator.com.au/2021/01/the-china-threat-and-the-art-of-war/?utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=FLAT%20%202020018%20%20AL&utm_content=FLAT%20%202020018%20%20AL+CID_14bbf1de2ca80b7fd91ac83eff33a892&utm_source=CampaignMonitor_Australia&utm_term=Ken%20Phillips
The 20th of January, 2021 will probably see Sleepy Joe and Silly Kamala inaugurated as President and Vice. However, that doesn’t mean they are legit holders of those two offices. I believe along with millions of other Americans that the 2020 election was stolen from the people. Here’s how it was done!
The stealing of the 2020 election will mean a bleak future for Conservative Christians and Non-Christian Conservatives as well. It seems the Left hate, and I mean hate, anyone that does not lean in their leftist direction. Just the mention of President Trump brings fire to their eyes and smoke from their nostrils. How to prepare? Well, to the Bible believing born again Christian there is the Blessed Hope; Titus 2:13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ
That verse was written by a man who literally lost his head under the reign of Nero so even under the evil Leftist Biden/Harris admin may we who know the Lord Jesus look beyond the Left’s hate for Christ and the Constitution to that Blessed Hope and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ just as Paul the Apostle did. .
How much will a true conservative, lover of the United States and the Constitution have to endure under a Biden/Harris China administration? Enjoy your freedom in the few days you have left!
‘A preview of the executive actions that President-elect Joe Biden will take shortly after assuming the presidency shows that “the racial equity crisis” and the “climate crisis” are among his top four priorities for the first 10 days in office.
“We face four overlapping and compounding crises: the COVID-19 crisis, the resulting economic crisis, the climate crisis, and a racial equity crisis,” according to a Jan. 16 memo by incoming White House chief of staff Ron Klain.
“All of these crises demand urgent action.”
Klain noted that the executive actions will be “bold” but said, “the legal theory behind them is well-founded.”
In his first full week in office, Biden “will take significant early actions to advance equity and support communities of color and other underserved communities,” Klain said. Biden will also move “to address the climate crisis with the urgency the science demands.”
Klain says congressional action will be necessary to deliver on the president-elect’s agenda and cited an immigration bill that Biden will send to Congress on his first day in office.
Last week, Biden introduced his legislative priorities for tackling the CCP virus pandemic. The proposed legislation includes an apparently unrelated mandate for a $15 federal minimum wage, which Congress has estimated will wipe out an estimated 1.3 million jobs. The president-elect plans to introduce his legislative priorities for a CCP virus recovery bill in the coming weeks.
On Inauguration Day, Biden will take roughly a dozen executive actions, including an order for extending a pause of federal student loan payments, rejoining the Paris climate accord, and canceling President Donald Trump’s ban on travel from nations posing a terror threat to the United States.
On the same day, the president-elect will impose a mask mandate on federal property and interstate travel. The mandate is part of Biden’s “100 Day Masking Challenge,” according to the memo. The list of actions on the first day also includes an extension of nationwide restrictions on evictions and foreclosures.
On Jan. 21, Biden’s second day in office, the president-elect “will sign a number of executive actions to move aggressively to change the course of the COVID-19 crisis and safely reopen schools and businesses, including by taking action to mitigate spread through expanding testing, protecting workers, and establishing clear public health standards,” the memo states.
Klain noted that the list of actions isn’t exhaustive, with more actions expected to be added to the to-do list in the coming days.’https://www.theepochtimes.com/biden-priorities-in-first-10-days-in-office-include-systemic-racism-and-climate-crisis_3659830.html
‘It is quite ironic that many of those that are always telling us that we need “diversity” in our society are also some of the strongest voices against a “diversity of viewpoints” on social media. The founders of this nation wanted to make sure that nobody would ever take the right to freedom of speech away from us, and that is why it was enshrined in the Bill of Rights. Unfortunately, courts have greatly eroded that right over the last several decades, and now we are facing an all-out assault on freedom of speech that is unlike anything that we have ever seen before. And once freedom of speech is completely gone, all of our other rights will soon follow, because there will no longer be any way to defend them.
When the United States was established, government was really the only major threat to free speech. In early America, corporations were severely limited in size and scope, and that is because our founders were determined not to let them get too big or too powerful.
Our founders knew that enormous concentrations of money and power would be great threats to freedom, and that has definitely turned out to be the case.
In the old days, if you wanted to express yourself you could grab a soapbox and head down to a local street corner. The reason why we use the term “marketplace of ideas” today is because people literally used to gather in marketplaces and town squares and exchange ideas with one another.
In our time, the Internet has become the place where we all gather to exchange ideas, but unfortunately control of all of the most important gathering spaces is in the hands of a very small group of colossal tech corporations.
When Facebook, Twitter and others were first growing, they generally allowed people to say pretty much what they wanted to say, and information flowed pretty freely.
But censorship has escalated dramatically over the past four years, and it reached a crescendo the other day when Twitter announced that it would be permanently suspending President Trump’s account.
How would our founders feel about that?
Tech giants such as Facebook and Twitter now have more money than many entire countries do, and in many ways they also have the same level of power that many national governments possess.
Just think about this – President Trump could never take away your ability to express yourself, but Facebook and Twitter can.
Of course big corporations dominate just about every other aspect of our society as well. These collectivist institutions have become extremely dangerous, and they are really starting to throw their weight around.
Until the power of the big corporations is addressed, we will never have a truly free society again.
Just like leftist governments, big corporations seek to gather as much money and as much power under a single umbrella as possible.
Our founders wanted to empower the individual, and that is why they wanted to limit the size of government and that is why they also wanted to limit the size of corporations.
Sadly, it wasn’t just President Trump that got booted off Twitter in recent days. Hordes of conservative accounts have been wiped out, and this has led many to use the word “purge” to describe what has been happening.
On my Twitter account, I have literally lost more than a thousand followers in just a few days. Others have lost a lot more.
Many conservatives have been fleeing to Parler, but over the past several days the big tech giants teamed up to take that entire platform down…
Parler will likely go offline for “a while” Sunday evening given Amazon Web Services’ decision to suspend the upstart social media platform after Wednesday’s U.S. Capitol riot, executives said Sunday.
“We are clearly being singled out,” Chief Policy Officer Amy Peikoff told “Fox & Friends Weekend” one day after Apple suspended Parler from its App Store even as it surged to the No. 1 spot in the free apps section earlier in the day.
I was absolutely stunned when I heard that had happened.
These people are not playing games.
For the moment, Gab.com is still up, and their traffic has surged more than 750 percent in just the last few days…
Gab.com, the free speech friendly social network, says traffic has increased by more than 750 percent in the past few days, following the blacklisting of President Donald Trump from most mainstream tech platforms.
“Our traffic is up 753% in the past 24 hours. Tens of millions of visits,” said Gab in response to a question about slow loading speeds.
But how long will it be before Gab is taken down as well?
The big tech companies don’t want diversity, they don’t want competition and they don’t want dissent.
What they want is complete and total domination.
Cancel culture is not good for our society. If everyone with viewpoints that are not “politically correct” is eventually “canceled” we will have a society that looks a whole lot like communist China.
And I suppose that is precisely what a lot of people out there truly want.
It is not always easy to listen to viewpoints that you consider to be offensive. Personally, I do not like most of what my fellow citizens are saying in 2021.
But in the United States we are not supposed to silence opposing viewpoints that we do not like. Instead, we are supposed to strive for victory in the marketplace of ideas by showing that our viewpoints are better.
Unfortunately, the big tech companies have decided that millions of Americans should no longer be allowed to participate in the marketplace of ideas because their viewpoints are just too offensive.
Ironically, many of those that are doing the censoring have the most offensive and the most dangerous viewpoints of all.
Needless to say, if we stay on the path that we are currently on there is no future for America.
Without free speech, the system of government that our founders established simply won’t work.
What is the point of even having elections if we can only express one point of view?
In China, no dissent is allowed and one political party runs everything on a permanent basis.
America appears to be heading in the same direction, and there are millions of people in this country that are actually quite thrilled that this is happening.’http://theeconomiccollapseblog.com/without-freedom-of-speech-what-is-going-to-happen-to-america/
If you are a conservative they are after you! This is sad and scary!!!!!!
The Conversation is the Left of the Left so it isn’t surprising to read their latest on President Trump and the power hungry Democrats.
‘By becoming the first president to be impeached twice, Donald Trump’s controversial and divisive term as president is reaching a surreal ending. Although he will likely remain in office and finish his term on Jan. 20, the impeachment is the opening salvo of investigations and allegations of wrongdoing that will define his legacy.
After Joe Biden assumes the presidency, Trump may face criminal and civil charges at both the federal and state levels for actions before and during his tenure as president. He’s reportedly so nervous about ongoing investigations that his discussions with advisers about pardoning himself and his children have intensified since he incited the raid on the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6. Some of them have warned against it.
Criminal cases are the most serious, involving offences against the state and prosecuted by government agencies. In contrast, civil cases are disputes between two parties that typically result in monetary payments.‘ If you can stomach the rest of the article it may be found at this link https://theconversation.com/a-second-impeachment-is-just-the-start-of-trumps-legal-woes-153036?utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Latest%20from%20The%20Conversation%20for%20January%2015%202021%20-%201834317847&utm_content=Latest%20from%20The%20Conversation%20for%20January%2015%202021%20-%201834317847+CID_8800d63f42f6f4d0172bd295db1d2e6f&utm_source=campaign_monitor&utm_term=Thomas%20Klassen%20looks%20at
