‘Facebook has permanently banned the official page of Australian MP Craig Kelly for sharing “misinformation about COVID-19.”
Formerly a member of Prime Minister Scott Morrison’s Liberal Party, Kelly became an independent after getting into a dispute with the prime minister and health experts over the content he had been posting on his Facebook page.
In February, Facebook temporarily suspended Kelly’s page after a series of posts touting the benefits of hydroxychloroquine as a method of treating COVID-19.
Now, the social media giant has taken further action and permanently removed the MP’s page.
A Facebook spokesperson told Australian state broadcaster ABC that the company doesn’t “allow anyone, including elected officials, to share misinformation about COVID-19 that could lead to imminent physical harm or COVID-19 vaccines that have been debunked by public health experts.”
“We have clear policies against this type of content and have removed Mr. Kelly’s Facebook Page for repeated violations of this policy,” the spokesperson said.
Responding to the ban, Kelly criticized the action as “censorship,” adding that his page was the “most popular, highly used” in the country.
The Hughes, New South Wales MP denied that he was spreading misinformation, but rather sharing a difference of opinion.
“The idea that they are some purveyors of all truth is just absolutely outrageous,” Kelly said.
After his suspension in February, Kelly created a backup page on the platform, which as of yet has not been removed. Kelly also maintains a page on Instagram, another platform controlled by Facebook, although the company treats those accounts as separate entities and no action has been taken against Kelly there.
Speaking to The Guardian Australia, Kelly said that Facebook has refused to explain what they label misinformation, and said that he stands “100 per cent by everything” he’s posted.
“It’s not my random thoughts, it’s backed up by scientific evidence.”
Kelly conceded that many of the doctors and academics he refers to have an opinion that diverges from the mainstream, but stressed that he wants to “live in a democracy where we can hear and debate those opinions.”
The independent MP is currently crafting a private member’s bill to present to the Australian Parliament that would require social media platforms to present written notice before deleting a user’s account, and that could feature fines of up to $100,000 a day for deplatforming individuals for political speech.
Relating his Facebook ban to his new bill, Kelly claimed that a foreign-owned company had restricted him from being able to promote his legislative efforts, describing it as “extinguishing” his ability to use his Facebook page to call for more regulation of the company.’https://www.rebelnews.com/facebook_bans_australian_mp_craig_kelly_for_covid_misinformation

The doctors want Weyts to immediately reverse his approach: no face mask requirement at school, only protect the at-risk group and only advise people with a possible risk profile to consult their doctor. “In recent months, the general well-being of children and young people has come under severe pressure,” the letter’s authors said. “We see in our practices an increasing number of children and young people with complaints due to the rules of conduct that have been imposed on them.” The doctors mentioned anxiety and sleep problems as well as behavioural disorders and germaphobia, which is a pathological fear of germs. Very few Australian Federal politicians speak out publicly on real issues that affect the people. Craig Kelly is one of the few and he is maligned continually by the government sponsored media such as ABC and SBS. These two Behemoth organizations are nothing but Leftist/Marxist/Communist/Socialist propaganda machines. Why the Australian Federal Government that says it is conservative would continue to support these two organizations is not understandable at all unless that Government really agrees with these two Leftist leaning organizations.

‘MORE SHOCKING INACCURATE & MISLEADING REPORTING Typical rubbish reporting; one-sided, bias, accusations without substantiation, and they failed to even to bother to contact me for a comment. If you are going to accuse someone of ‘’spreading misinformation’’, you have the obligation to; 1) Set out exactly what words were said,2) Explain why they words are incorrect and therefore are ‘misformation’3) Back up your claim with evidence. And SBS fail to do so in every respect. For it appears there is a new leftist authoritarian reporting style, where by if you say something they disagree with – they simply scream out ‘’misinformation’’ and ‘’conspiracy theory’’ as a way of avoiding setting out a reasoned argument – most of the time because one doesn’t exist. ITS THE SBS SPREADING FAKE INFORMATION So here, I’ll set out my argument of why it’s the SBS that are the ones guilty of spreading misinformation – not me. 1.1) THE WORDS SAID;SBS make the bald-faced assertion of Hydroxychloroquine that there is ‘’widespread evidence that it is not effective’’. 1.2) WHY THIS IS INCORRECT This is untrue. It’s fake news. It’s misleading. And unsurprisingly SBS fail to even try to substantiate such a false claim. The facts are, there are now a total of 192 studies (with 3,038 Authors) on the efficacy of HCQ to tackle Covid, and 150 of those studies found positive results for HCQ. But importantly, doctors advocating for HCQ (that’s doctors actually working on the frontlines) say that it should be combined with zinc – and it MUST be administered early (within the first 5 days of symptoms) to be effective. To date, there are 26 published studies on ‘early treatment’, all 26 of the studies – 100% of them found HCQ an effective treatment. So there is not a SINGLE SCRAP OF EVIDENCE that HCQ is ineffective when administered early as doctors recommend. Such an assertion is complete rubbish. SBS seem to misunderstand what ‘peer-reviewed’ means. Just because a study is peer-reviewed doesn’t make it correct, and just because a study is not peer-reviewed doesn’t make it misleading. If anyone wanted to criticise aspects of the study and argue its conclusions, and claim it’s therefore ‘misleading’ – that would be a debate. But they don’t, they offer nothing. They don’t say why they believe the study is wrong. They don’t reference any alternate study with contrary conclusions (because they don’t exist)No matter how you interpret this study, the findings are there, which show that enforcing a compulsory mask mandate on children, inflicts both physical & psychological harm upon them.
