‘While Australians are worried about the rising unemployment and how to pay expensive electricity bills, the ruling party frets about “gender balance” among its members of federal Parliament. Prime Minister Scott Morrison says he is deeply committed to boosting female representation.
The Liberty Party has recently stated that it wants to increase the representation of female MPs to at least 50 per cent over the next decade. Currently, around 22 per cent of female Liberal MPs grace the federal parliament. The internal report, entitled ‘Room for Movement: Women and Leadership in the Liberal Parity’, relates decreasing electoral support for Liberals with the low proportion of female leaders within the party and, particularly, in the parliament. Currently about 50 per cent of Labor MPs are female. How’s that working for them?
The Australian Labor Party lost the last federal election. And not only that but it received around 300 thousand fewer votes from women than did the Liberal Party. Labor now despises the working class and their voters feel disenfranchised, abandoned, forgotten and ignored. Labor is now a party of social engineers and completely infected by new-leftism, feminism and radical environmentalism.
As for the Liberal Party, its leadership certainly should think twice before advancing the same leftist agenda. Rather, this party should consider the advice of their founder Sir Robert Menzies, who once said he would vote for a woman ‘with no prejudice and with great cheerfulness’ only if he was satisfied that she is the better and more qualified person to occupy the job.’https://quadrant.org.au/opinion/qed/2020/11/the-unique-discrimination-white-men-face/
The supposedly conservative Coalition Federal government of Australia is selling its citizens into financial poverty through its belief that it can change the climate! Billions of tax dollars thrown down the renewable hole while electricity prices go through the roof and the grid ruined. It wasn’t that long ago that the present PM took a lump of coal into Parliament to prove some point but has not since pushed for the building of even one new coal power station. Rather than waking up to the climate scam lie the make believe conservatives take the nation with them to ruin by taking a ‘…strong domestic and international action to reduce emissions and build resilience to the impacts of climate change. Our Foreign Policy White Paper recognises the challenges that climate change will increasingly present in the coming years, and the economic opportunities in the transition to a low emissions global economy. Given the growing challenges to sustainable development presented by climate change, the White Paper also highlighted that responding to climate change will continue to be a priority for Australia’s development assistance.
As chair of the “Umbrella Group” of countries, Australia played a constructive role in negotiations under the UNFCCC to reach the historic Paris Agreement in 2015, and the package of rules for its implementation at Katowice, Poland in 2018. Under the Paris Agreement, Australia has committed to reduce emissions by 26-28 per cent below 2005 levels by 2030. This builds on our target under the Kyoto Protocol to reduce emissions by five per cent below 2000 levels by 2020. Independent economic modelling for Australia’s 2030 target, led by Professor Warwick McKibbin.
Australia’s targets will be met through a comprehensive policy suite to reduce emissions, encourage technological innovation and expand our clean energy sector. Australia will complete a Long Term Greenhouse Gas Emissions Reduction Strategy in 2020. More information about Australia’s domestic mitigation efforts can be found at the Department of the Environment and Energy. Information about Australia’s adaptation efforts can be found at the website of the Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment.
As well as taking action at home, Australia is supporting other countries to reduce their emissions, build resilience and adapt to the impacts of climate change. The Government will achieve its 2015 commitment of providing at least $1 billion in climate development assistance for developing countries from 2015–2020 from the Australian aid program, including$300 million over four years for climate change and disaster resilience in the Pacific. In August 2019, Prime Minister Morrison announced a further $500 million over five years from 2020 to help Pacific nations invest in renewable energy and climate and disaster resilience. Australia’s support for climate action through our development program over 2020-25 will be guided by our Climate Change Action Strategy, released in November 2019.
Australia is leading global partnerships to protect rainforests such as the Asia-Pacific Rainforest Partnership and marine ecosystems, including the International Coral Reef Initiative and the International Partnership for Blue Carbon. We are also building capacity in measurement, reporting and verification of greenhouse gas mitigation, and support for the development of blue carbon inventories.
Australia seems to be in a rush to catch Europe and the UK in punishing people for speaking what they believe to be true. For example: ‘Television host Sonia Kruger has become a poster girl for Far-Right groups in Australia after a vilification complaint was made against her when she called for an end to Muslim migration.
The groups claim the case against Kruger is an attack on free speech, and believe she is being persecuted for speaking her mind when she said during a segment on Channel Nine’s Today program in 2016 that there was a correlation between the number of terror attacks in a country, and the number of Muslim people who lived there.
“Personally I would like to see [Muslim migration] stopped now for Australia. Because I want to feel safe, as all of our citizens do, when they go out to celebrate Australia Day,” she said during the segment.
Muslim man Sam Ekermawi filed a racial vilification complaint against Kruger, which the New South Wales Civil and Administrative Tribunal recently ruled will be given a full hearing.
This is the television spot that got Sonia into all this trouble.
Well, exactly what is vilification?

Now, consider the following which occurred under a Federal Labor Government in 2012.
‘ONE of the Muslim world’s best-known and most successful motivational speakers, Tareq Al Suwaidan, is about to start another tour of Australia, following a sell-out visit two years ago… His opening address, this Saturday, will be at the Robert Blackwood hall at Monash University in Melbourne, before further lectures in Melbourne and Sydney, finishing on June 18… Dr Suwaidan – who lectures in English in Australia – is a leader of the Muslim Brotherhood in Kuwait, and general manager of Al-Resalah (The Message), an Arabic language satellite TV station funded by Prince al-Waleed bin Talal of Saudi Arabia…. In an interview for Al-Quds, a TV station affiliated with Hamas, he said 10 weeks ago: “I can change the positions of some Westerners, but at the end of the day, power lies with the politicians, who are influenced by two things only: money and the media, both of which are controlled by the Jews. “So we must not rely on Western aid or on Western popular sympathy. These are minor things. We rely upon Allah and then upon our armed resistance in obtaining our rights.” He said his foremost cause is that of Palestine and Jerusalem. “The most dangerous thing facing the Muslims is not the (Arab) dictatorships. The absolutely most dangerous thing is the Jews. They are the greatest enemy.”‘ https://www.heraldsun.com.au/blogs/andrew-bolt/go-to-monash-uni-for-another-lecture-on-the-enemies-of-allah/news-story/6342761cdc7724ed9ca0a3c32e78c897
Sadly, in Australia the freedom of speech is only for a few; so it seems.
