The riots and the death of George Floyd are a result of one man (Adam) not telling his wife that he will not eat the fruit from the tree the Creator had said NOT to eat thereof. That man ate and therefore, it was later written. Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned Romans 5:12.
There are undoubtedly many underlying causes for those participating in the present day riots BUT the one main cause is a hatred of the Creator God. This is seen in the first murder performed by a brother upon his own brother. Cain’s offering had been rejected by the Creator and Abel’s offering had been accepted. Cain was angry and knew he could not take out his anger on the Creator so turned his anger on his brother and murdered him. THAT IS THE MAIN CAUSE FOR THESE RIOTS. The death of George Floyd is just an excuse. Now, this is not to say there was not an injustice done on George Floyd but there are injustices occurring every day in this world! Injustice happens to people of every skin tone!
However, there is an answer and that answer is in the person of the Lord Jesus Christ. It was the Lord that looked down from a cross on a crowd that had hatred in their hearts and He said Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots Luke 23:34.
The questions are many but the answer is simple.

Before posting the real story, just a few words on what is occurring now in the states regarding the white police officer and the dead man of colour in Minneapolis. When will police departments learn to only have black officers patrolling black areas and only Muslim officers patrolling Muslim areas?!! Now, black and Muslim officers may also patrol white areas BUT NO white officers are allowed to patrol black or Muslim areas!!! Too simple!
Here is the real story.
‘The death of George Floyd, on video while (fired) Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin knelt on his neck for several minutes and three other officers did nothing to stop it, was unjustified and has sparked days of protests and riots nationwide. The whole world has heard about this unjustified killing by now. Chauvin has been charged with third-degree murder. Floyd was from Houston, Texas, and is remembered there for his Christian ministry work in the city’s Third Ward. Nothing we know about what happened to him makes any sense or justifies it in any way.
Next to no one has heard about what happened in Grand Forks, ND on May 27, 2020.
Sheriff’s deputies went that day to a call to apartment complex to serve an eviction notice. Police and sheriffs deputies nationwide are called to such activities every day as a matter of routine. Most of these come and go with no violence.
Any of them can erupt into violence at any time and this one was different, reports the Twin Cities Pioneer Press. There was a man inside, 41-year-old Salamah Pendleton, and his mother as well, 61-year-old Lola Moore.
According to an affidavit of probable cause, written by Special Agent Steve Gilpin of the Grand Forks Narcotics Task Force, two sheriff’s deputies arrived at Pendleton’s residence Wednesday afternoon to enforce a court order for Pendleton and Moore, also listed as a tenant of the apartment, to vacate the premises. When deputies entered the residence, Pendleton retreated to a bedroom, according to the affidavit. When deputies opened the door, Pendleton allegedly fired at them with a 5.45-caliber AK-47 rifle, according to documents related to the case.
The affidavit states that one of the rounds fired at officers by Pendleton hit Moore, fatally wounding her.
Army National Guard 1st Lt Cody Holte was also a Grand Forks police officer, three years on the job. He responded to the deputies’ on the scene call for backup after the first volleys of gunfire.
Eventually Pendleton opened the door and resumed firing, according to the affidavit, when he allegedly inflicted non-fatal gunshot wounds on Grand Forks County Sheriff’s Cpl. Ron Nord.
Pendleton allegedly shot Holte three times. Holte was transported to Altru Hospital by ambulance, and was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Pendleton was also wounded, and is in a local hospital on a ventilator. He reportedly has a rap sheet that includes assault on a police officer and has been charged with two counts of murder in this case. He had several firearms including the AK-47 in the apartment. He reportedly had the money to pay the rent. His family says he was “amped up” about the coronavirus pandemic. His mother, Lola Moore, is remembered by family and friends as a joyful woman who was always cooking and making people laugh. He is accused of killing her during the shootout in which he allegedly killed Holte.
Holte was 29 and leaves behind a wife and a 10-month-old son who will never get to do ordinary things with his father, like go to church or go fishing. He’ll know his father was a hero, but he’ll never know his father. There is a fundraiser for the family here. A memorial service for Holte will take place Tuesday.
Law enforcement officers are under new scrutiny around the country due to the killing of George Floyd, which is right. At the same time, law enforcement officers face the potential of targeting and violence against them every single day, now on practically every call they go out on, every traffic stop, every interaction on the job. They have the added issue of celebrities like Chrissy Teigen virtue signaling and paying the bail for rioters and encouraging unrest, and a media that fans the flames, all while ignoring the risks officers take daily to maintain civilization, and those left behind when officers such as Cody Holte are killed by criminals in the line of duty.

Some of Roth’s past political comments from 2016 and 2017 began making the rounds in conservative circles Tuesday after Twitter fact-checked a Trump tweet predicting that universal mail-in voting would result in widespread fraud.
Roth announced in September 2016 that he was donating $100 to Clinton’s campaign, writing: “We can’t fuck around anymore.”
In another post-election tweet, Roth sneered at so-called “flyover states,” writing: “I’m just saying, we fly over those states that voted for a racist tangerine for a reason.”

‘Doctors will have power to section people indefinitely
The Coronavirus Bill (which is being passed into law this week at breakneck speed) will, among other things, (1) authorise a forcible detention of people on mental health grounds (‘sectioning’) on the opinion of any one doctor (rather than two, as previously required) and (2) abolish the six-month time limit on ‘sectioning’. Any one doctor will have the power to lock you up in a lunatic asylum indefinitely – all in the interests of your own and others’ safety.
It is well-known, and self-evident, that forcible psychiatric detention is an area which is open to abuse in the absence of effective safeguards. In the Soviet Union, it was used simply as a tool to suppress political dissent. This may be an extreme example, but where is the guarantee that one rogue doctor or another will not, once in a while, abuse his newly found unlimited power? For very good reasons, we have had safeguards against that in our law. Now they are being urgently abolished – supposedly as an obstacle to our survival of the epidemic. How exactly are they such an obstacle?
It should be stressed that this has nothing to do with increasing doctors’ capacity to deal with coronavirus patients. A psychiatrist is not much help in treating a respiratory disease. In fact, he would be as useful as a gynaecologist. Just like gynaecologists can safely continue to supervise (and hopefully, sometimes refuse to authorise) abortions, there is no reason why psychiatrists cannot carry on doing their usual job – which includes, most importantly, protecting people from arbitrary detention on unsound psychiatric grounds. Those duties are expendable luxuries, but are vital safeguards of liberty.
Powers to issue warrants for surveillance
Another frightening power-grab in the Coronavirus Bill is the expansion of the power to appoint temporary judicial commissioners, with the powers to issue warrants for surveillance, under the Investigatory Powers Act 2016. The threat to civil liberty is obvious; and this has nothing to do with coronavirus.
Given those examples, one inevitably looks more sceptically at the idea that the government knows best about its other measures which ostensibly have something to do with coronavirus. Things like prolonging local councillors’ term in office for a whole year without a democratic mandate; police power to detain anyone for up to 48 hours on suspicion of a threat to public health; Ministers’ authority to ban mass gatherings; or court trials by skype. Are all those things really necessary? Or have some civil servants simply been waiting (heaven knows for how long) for a convenient moment to introduce them without provoking mass protests on the streets?
For example, skype trials in court sound sensible at the time of an epidemic, but the very first reported trial is a rather frightening one. That is a Court of Protection trial last week to decide the fate of an anonymous man in his ‘70s, whose GP wants to switch off his life support to let him die ‘in dignity’, and whose family objects. Remember all the debates and protests over the cases of Charlie Gard and Alfie Evans in this country, and Vincent Lambert in France? Under the new regime, decisions on life and death cases of this kind are being made on a skype call. No proper trial, no ‘army’ of protesters, no real media coverage. It was only reported as a technological curiosity – the first major trial taking place by skype.
The price of liberty is eternal vigilance
These and other measures are meant to be introduced only on a temporary basis. There is a subset clause in the Bill, whereby these new laws will automatically lose force after two years unless Parliament votes to extend them beyond that period. Amendments are being debated to shorten that period. However, this does not answer the concern that some of the most drastic innovations in the Act are clearly not necessary to contain coronavirus at all. If in those two years, someone is wrongly ‘sectioned’ in a lunatic asylum, it is small comfort to them that this practice will cease in 2022. Further, as a general rule of constitutional history, temporary limitations on liberty tend to become permanent whenever they are convenient for the state. We still live today with all sorts of draconian laws introduced as a matter of emergency after 11 September 2001. Come 2022, the Coronavirus Bill powers may also be extended on whatever pretext. Indeed, section 90 of the Bill even permits the extension of those powers without a vote in Parliament.
The price of liberty is eternal vigilance. Many dictatorships originate in people’s panicked enthusiasm for drastic measures to deal with a genuine crisis. Putin’s regime in Russia, for example, took hold because people trusted their democratically elected president to do whatever it takes to defeat the threat of terrorism. Eventually, when Putin responded to another terrorist attack by replacing regional elections with appointed governors, that trust was largely lost – but it was too late. It is no surprise that when we see fairly similar moves attempted in this country, our trust in the government hangs in the balance.
At least in terms of public trust, the next few days will be crucial for the government’s efforts to control the epidemic. If the government is serious about it, its legislation must be cleansed of all disingenuous attempts to take advantage. ‘Henry Ergas writing in the Australian observed that 75 years ago in 1945 on Australia Day the daily papers began to report on the liberation of the terrible Nazi Death Camps and Auschwitz in particular, where 1.1 million people were brutally exterminated, 960,000 of them were Jews.
Ergas quoted political philosopher Hannah Arendt, a Jew who escaped from German occupied Europe in 1941. She reflected on the nature of the evil that was Nazi Antisemitism. Her attention was upon the industrial scale of the torture and murder, something that could not be explained by the usual evil motives of self-interest, greed, covetousness, resentment, lust of power and cowardice.
This is what follows when an ethnic group like the Jews has been stripped of its status as fully human. When a society starts down the path of thinking of and acting toward a group as less than fully human, something shifts in the culture as a whole. When the loud voices say that a group should be denied association, right to practice their faith, disqualified from employment, when their voice is being silenced, when they are no longer equal before the law, when they are being blamed, they are being dehumanised.
Before long most people will stop thinking of them as true humans and when that happens, they are just a problem needing a final solution, a pest to be exterminated.
The pernicious thoroughness of evil seeks to snuff out every witness to truth and replace it with a persuasive falsehood and in this case it is about what it means to be fully human – what honours, what rights, what expectations are attached to this state of being. Today this includes rights to choose whatever you feel defines you – whether sexuality, gender, relationship status, body alterations, whatever makes you happy. But this happiness is hollow.
In the biblical understanding, people are made in the likeness of God himself – not his physical form but his intrinsic nature. God’s purpose in creating humankind was that they might enter fully into his joy. In a word, God created us for joy – the sublime celebration of all He is and has made in its perfection and wonder. And it is this creative purpose that defines us. We may be alienated from God but the longing for ecstasy remains as the fingerprint of the Almighty on our inner being. This is fundamental to full humanity as distinct from ‘empty’ humanity – a life that lacks this joy and is offered temporal amusement instead. And how much effort goes into keeping people amused instead, perpetuating the myth that that’s as good as it gets.
Losing sight of this elevating purpose, and stripping others of their right to this full humanity is the beginning of the industry of death in someone’s imagination. The offer of happiness may be enough to silence us, to make us pretend we never saw the dangers.

It’s hard to believe, or is it? ‘Democratic lawmakers in Connecticut want to create a new state police department to “specialize in investigating far-right extremist groups and individuals.”
In 2017, the state of Connecticut reported 111 crimes motivated by bias against a particular race, ethnicity, or religion. Most of the crimes targeted blacks and Jews.
The new police department aims to stop these crimes before they happen, explains Senate President Martin Looney.

“Unfortunately, people who entertain hateful beliefs…are protected as long as [those beliefs] don’t result in hate-crime actions. That’s what we’re talking about,” says Looney. “We want to be more aggressive in enforcing our laws and identifying likely sources of potential domestic terrorism acts against religious institutions and ethnic institutions.”
As noted by Senate Minority Leader Len Fasano, a Republican, the proposal is inappropriate in that it fails to mention left-wing extremism. Extremism exists on both sides and is wrong on both sides, and Democrats must acknowledge this fact in order to effectively combat hate crime.
“When they put a right-wing label on extremism, they do that to elicit a political response,” argues Fasano, adding that Republicans are “on the same page” when it comes to protecting the state’s residents from hate crimes.
Author’s Note: The nature of this proposal reminds me of the Thought Police from George Orwell’s famous dystopian novel Nineteen Eighty-Four, a specialized force that goes after people whose thoughts conflict with the views of the government.
Editor’s Note: When the political leadership of a state found an institution whose sole purpose is to investigate people whose views are of the opposing political party, it has, in effect, established a “thought police.” The intention might be purely political, to propagandize the flaws of the right, but the end effects are beyond measure.
Any police methods that discriminate by political thought are, by definition, in violation of the First and Fourth Amendments.
