There MUST be a change in government this May and that does not include the LNP, ALP, Greens or those Leftist Independents but it does mean parties such as the UAP, One Nation and Liberal Democrats!
What was a peaceful camp for freedom quickly turned violent when police came to issue infringement tickets for “illegally parked” vehicles.
Tension escalated when police entered the camp to record car registration details.
Officers had largely remained cooperative with the growing gathering of protesters, and with too many people to arrest and too many cars to tow away the police presence focused their attention on the “illegally parked cars” being the issue and informed campers that they would be recording the details of all vehicles on the grounds under the direction of the National Capital Authority (NCA).
Protesters were concerned and suspicious of police intentions after earlier cooperation with the police led to officers blocking cars from re-entering the grounds.
Police mentioned that they may in coming days issue a move-on notice to the protesters, however, numbers continue to grow at the site with waves of the convoy still rolling into Canberra from across the nation.
When I talked to the Police media unit, I was informed that the camp was in fact illegal as NCA permits had not been issued for them to be there.
The police on the ground on patrol said that about a dozen officers would walk through the camp every hour for their safety.
Campers were concerned that the active police presence may escalate the situation and when police started blocking entry to the area, they were fearful that police would evict them from the area entirely.
“They’re saying it’s not the police that’s removing us, it’s the National Capital Authority … We have been trying to meet with them in person, the office is just across the road here, we went there, there’s no one there,” one camper said.
“They won’t return calls, and we’ve asked them to sit in a roundtable conversation with the traditional owner, myself, and the federal police, if we can sit down and talk about even getting a permit just for the time until the end of next week.”
Scenes turned violent when a scuffle broke out after a 65yo woman was tackled and arrested by police.
Police pepper-sprayed the crowd as the crowd sprang to her defence.
“There are women and children here,” said one witness on the scene.
“I saw an old lady getting dragged away, fellas getting stomped on the ground.“
“We were all prepared to take the infringement notices, without a problem, and we’ve been prepping everyone here to be really calm,” said another.
“It’s going to look really bad for you guys because what happened there was unacceptable“.
A man in his 80s identified as a war veteran was injured in the incident.
As he was carried away many from the camp embraced him for standing up to the police.
“Never ever quit, even though I’ve got a crook leg, I’m still walking and I’m still fighting and I’m never quitting. The Australian Prime Minister claims to be a Christian and does attend a Pentecostal church but he is very hesitant to back any Christian or Christian organization (https://www.theguardian.com/world/2022/feb/03/christian-lobby-groups-attack-morrison-for-vowing-students-wont-be-expelled-due-to-their-sexuality-or-gender) when that person or organization comes head to head with WOKE society. NOTE, whenever, a “Christian” organization accepts Government funds they have signed away their Christian beliefs. Therefore, the following is not a surprise to me.
‘A Brisbane Christian school says it will withdraw its demand that families sign anti-gay and anti-trans enrolment contracts prior to the new school year.
The decision comes before a meeting with the Queensland schools accreditation board.
While Citipointe Christian College says it “deeply regrets” that the contracts made students feel discriminated against, the principal says the school has the right to maintain its ethos and the “freedom to continue to provide an education based on our shared beliefs”.
Those beliefs – and the statement parents were asked to sign – are taken from the school’s governing body, the International Network of Churches, and its formal “statement of faith”. It includes statements that homosexual acts were “immoral” and “offensive to God” and that transgender people would not be recognised.
The withdrawal of the contract comes after the prime minister, Scott Morrison, said he “did not agree with” the school’s use of the document.
Teachers have told Guardian Australia that the school principal, Brian Mulheran, this week had repeatedly doubled down on his decision to implement the contract. He released a video statement to parents on Tuesday defending the contracts and then gave families a two-week extension to sign.
The decision was made before a scheduled meeting of the state government’s statutory accreditation board, which assesses eligibility for government funding and monitors compliance with the Education Act.
The board has received a discrimination complaint about the contract.
It is also understood that dozens of students and families had already chosen to withdraw and have enrolled at the local state school.
Lawyers and others had said the contract was a clear breach of the Queensland anti-discrimination act. The state human rights commissioner, Scott McDougall, said organisations could not “contract out” their responsibilities under the act.
In a letter to families Mulheran said the school would work with the community to update the enrolment contract, but that no families would now be asked to sign the existing one.
A statement posted on the college website said the school would “continue to ensure that families are provided with information that is necessary to make informed choices about … our approach to teaching”.
“We deeply regret that some students feel that they would be discriminated against because of their sexuality or gender identity, and I apologise to them and their families on behalf of the college,” Mulheran said.
“As stated previously, the college does not and will not discriminate against any student because of their sexuality or gender identity. It is central to our faith that being gay or transgender in no way diminishes a person’s humanity or dignity in God’s eyes.
“It is also deeply distressing that some of our students have been vilified in the community simply for their religious beliefs or because they attend the college.”
Mulheran said society “gives freedom to people to be a part of groups with shared beliefs”.
“Citipointe has the freedom to maintain its Christian ethos and this is an essential part of Christian education and choice for parents. As a college established for religious purposes, we will continue to provide an education based on our shared beliefs.”
The Queensland education minister, Grace Grace, said she welcomed the decision and had called for it on a number of occasions.

If something different doesn’t occur at the May Federal election this nation, Australia, is in serious trouble. The two major parties, LNP and Labor, are out of touch with reality. ‘Australia has a renowned and glorious history in immunological science. In fact, I would go as far as to say that if there is an immunological “city on the hill,” it was Australia.
From the storied Walter and Eliza Hall Institute to the Garvan Institute, to prominent Australian Nobel laureates and founding fathers of immunological science (Sir Macfarlane Burnett, Jacques F.P. Miller and Peter Doherty) to contemporary leaders of immunological science (Jonathan Sprent, Christopher Goodnow and Jason Cyster), Australia has been known as the mecca of immunological thinking and science.
So it is simply shocking to see the nation’s government behaving in such an immunologically ill-informed and authoritarian fashion when it comes to its handling of COVID immunity.
The recent deportation of the world’s top-ranked men’s tennis player, Novak Djokovic, from Australia for refusing a mandated vaccine he did not need and could be harmed by, was shocking to me as an immunologist.
Why? Because I know with definitive certainty Djokovic, who recovered from a COVID infection in December 2021, has quite powerful and robust acquired natural immunity to COVID — equivalent, if not more powerful than that attained from full vaccination and boosters.
In other words, the recently COVID-recovered Djokovic posed almost zero risk to himself or anyone in Australia — yet that liberal western democratic government condescended itself into terrible authoritarianism, irrationally and unethically excluding an international champion from one of tennis’ most prestigious events — the Australian Open. How deplorable!
Any immunologist worth his or her salt knows the most unusual aspect of the global COVID vaccine campaign is that the vaccine is being deployed on a mass scale in the midst of a pandemic outbreak, when many are already infected — either recently or at the time of their vaccination.
This indiscriminate public health campaign is dangerous. Not only does it expose many millions of already immune people to the risk of unnecessary medical treatment, but it also poses a serious risk of harm to recently infected or convalescent persons, in whom viral antigenic epitopes still persist, and in whom an unnecessary vaccination could induce a hyper-inflammatory response.
That prominent immunologists — especially the contemporary Australian pioneers in immunology — are either unaware of or silent about how our scientific discipline of immunology is being corrupted and abused by governments around the world so they can impose draconian mass mandates upon millions of persons with acquired “natural” or “hybrid” immunity has been frankly disappointing and shocking to me.
But I suppose all heroes have clay feet — and even careful thinkers can think carelessly sometimes.
Still, it is shocking to hear crickets from the giants of the world of immunology — especially those from Australia, which truly is the birthplace of modern immunology — when it comes to the topic of mandated vaccination of the already well immune and recently infected.
What a terrible sign of our time — when neither science and reason nor ethics and the western defense of individuality matter any longer in the face of irrational fear and government edicts.
Djokovic’s irrational and unethical deportation from Australia is a stain on the reputation of the many prominent Aussie immunologists and storied immunological institutes in that country.
The government override of the principles of immunological science and medical ethics, in order to achieve population-level compliance, while the western heroes of immunological science stay silent spells disaster for the integrity of western civilizations and self-governing democracies.
Shame on the Australian government for irrationally deporting Djokovic. And woe onto those prominent expert Australians and Aussie institutions, who actually know better but have chosen not to speak up for the sake of political expediency or personal comfort.
It is, indeed, easier not to rock the boat and not to speak up, than it is to stand in the way of unethical authoritarian conduct by a powerful democratic government gone astray.
But that slope is a slippery one and we are all sliding down it.
