‘JERUSALEM–Israel is revising military options for a possible clash with Iran, an Israeli newspaper reported on Thursday, as Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s government braces for differences with the incoming US administration on Iranian nuclear policy.
US President Donald Trump delighted Netanyahu by quitting the 2015 nuclear deal with Iran and reimposing sanctions on it that had been lifted in return for limits on activities that could potentially produce nuclear weapons in the future.
Tehran responded by breaching many of those restrictions. US President-elect Joe Biden wants to rejoin the deal if Tehran, which denies seeking the bomb, returns to strict compliance.
Israel, alarmed by Iranian rhetoric that claims it should not exist, is wary of the softer line, even though threats of US military action from Trump did not curtail Iran’s nuclear moves.
A front-page article in Israel’s largest-circulation daily said the military is crafting three options to “undermine Iran’s nuclear efforts or, if need be, counter Iranian aggression, which will soon be presented to the government.”
The paper, Israel Hayom, did not cite any sources. But it went on to quote Defence Minister Benny Gantz as saying: “Israel needs to have a military option on the table.”
Israel has long had plans in place to counter Iran. The article appeared designed to signal that these were now being updated.
During the tenure of former US President Barack Obama, which championed diplomacy with Iran, Israel occasionally threatened preventive airstrikes against Iranian nuclear sites.
Some US officials at the time doubted that Israel, whose advanced military includes a reputed nuclear arsenal, could effectively hit Iranian targets that are distant, dispersed and well-defended.
Israeli officials have voiced hope that Biden will maintain Trump’s “maximum pressure” campaign on Tehran, involving tough sanctions, until the Iranian nuclear programme is dismantled.
But one of them, Israeli Finance Minister Israel Katz, acknowledged on Army Radio: “There are disputes (with Biden) regarding the perspective on Iran, and of course that will prove challenging.”
Katz sounded encouraged by Biden’s intent to include Iran’s ballistic missile programme in any re-negotiation of the nuclear deal. Biden’s pick for US national security adviser Jake Sullivan signalled openness to consulting “regional players” — a possible allusion to Israel — during a January 3 interview with CNN
Israeli Intelligence Minister Eli Cohen told Ynet TV the Netanyahu government was not yet in formal dialogue with the incoming administration. But asked if Israel was trying through informal channels to sway Biden on Iran, Cohen said: “Yes. There are efforts.”’https://thearabweekly.com/israel-braces-differences-biden-iran-floats-military-options
Who do you trust anymore? ‘Freshman Congresswoman Nancy Mace (R-SC), who ran as a pro-Trump Republican to obtain Congressional office, has emerged as the most vicious Never Trumper in the chamber.
Mace is leading a purge against her colleagues who opposed the certification of dubious electoral college results last week. Mace even wants the deep state to investigate one of her colleagues in what is an egregious violation of her colleague’s 1st Amendment rights.
Mace first attacked Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), a freshman pro-Trump lawmaker who has received frequent attacks from the fake news media. Mace repeated debunked talking points that Greene is a member of the QAnon movement, whose adherents were involved in last week’s Capitol siege.
“I’m disgusted by what you and other Q-conspiracy theorists did last week in the chamber after all of the violence,” Mace is reported as saying on a text thread featuring freshmen GOP lawmakers.
After Greene mentioned Black Lives Matter terrorism and told Mace “don’t believe the fake news,” Mace responded back with a rude, catty and unprofessional quip: “Literal QAnon lady trying to deny she’s a QAnon lady.”
Rep. Burgess Owens (R-FL) reportedly congratulated Greene for standing with the president while Rep. Peter Meijer (R-MI), who has spoken in favor of impeaching President Trump, stood with Mace.
Greene seemed to confirm that the leaked texts were real in her response to Axios.
“Who is the freshman rep that is betraying everyone’s trust and leaking our group chat to the press?” Greene told Axios.
The Conversation is the Left of the Left so it isn’t surprising to read their latest on President Trump and the power hungry Democrats.
‘By becoming the first president to be impeached twice, Donald Trump’s controversial and divisive term as president is reaching a surreal ending. Although he will likely remain in office and finish his term on Jan. 20, the impeachment is the opening salvo of investigations and allegations of wrongdoing that will define his legacy.
After Joe Biden assumes the presidency, Trump may face criminal and civil charges at both the federal and state levels for actions before and during his tenure as president. He’s reportedly so nervous about ongoing investigations that his discussions with advisers about pardoning himself and his children have intensified since he incited the raid on the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6. Some of them have warned against it.
If Big Tech can do this to the President of the USA and social media platform Parler what can they do to little ole you and me?
‘The move by large technology firms to de-platform “free speech” social media site Parler has a chilling effect, said White House Office of Trade and Manufacturing Director Peter Navarro.
“What we have here is a classic collusive oligopoly, a kind of new wine in an old bottle,” Navarro told Fox Business. “What we saw with this attack on Parler was chilling to me. It’s one thing to de-platform everybody for free speech. But, this was a pincer move where Google and Apple, [the] first part of the pincer, was to not allow Parler apps to be down.”
Over the past week, Google and Apple removed Parler from their respective app-downloading programs, while on Monday morning, Amazon Web Services (AWS) suspended services for the website. Parler then filed a lawsuit against AWS, arguing the Seattle-based tech giant violated its contractual agreement, later adding that a representative sent text messages to Parler CEO John Matze that appeared to suggest AWS only cared about whether President Donald Trump would sign up—rather than violent content.
Parler also asserted that AWS violated the Sherman Antitrust Act in its court filing in Washington state.
The following is from an Australian Muslim web site but the article was written by an American Muslim that undoubtedly disagrees with or even hates President Trump and loves Leftist Joe Biden. There’s no surprise in this but within the article you will see the Muslim hate for Christians, Jews and Hindus. Islam is another tool of that old Serpent found first in Genesis 3:1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
Here’s the Muslim’s view of President Trump and his legacy.
‘The chaotic US Presidency of Trump will be ending soon, but the damage he has caused inside the country and abroad will linger on resulting in a divided America and polarised world. On the day of the failed ‘coup’ on Wednesday 6 January 2021, white supremacist supporters of Trump, Christian evangelists, Hindutva fascists, and Zionist extremists, hoisting their respective flags walked in the chambers of democracy with the possible intent to murder Democratic members of Congress and a few Republicans. The threat of violence from armed Trump supporters in Washington DC and all 50 US states leading up to the inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden on Wednesday 20 January has lead to the mobilisation of US troops on advice from FBI.
Now that the US Congress has voted to charge Trump with “inciting violence against the government of the United States” for his role in encouraging the rioters who stormed the US Capitol last week, a trial will be held in the Senate where a two-thirds majority will be required to convict Trump, needing the support of 17 Republicans voting with all the Democrats.
From left Netanyahu, Trump, Modi: Buddies across borders.
The Police have so far learned of at least three more potentially gruesome demonstrations planned in the coming days, with one plot to encircle the US Capitol and assassinate people considered Trump’s enemies.
Such plots are impossible without the help of Trump-supporting congressional staff.
The noted documentary maker, Michel Moor, gave a detailed account of the Capitol terror attack in a brief write-up. Here are his seven conclusions.
1. This attack on the Capitol was an Inside Job. Some Republican members of Congress and their staff assisted the mob in getting into and through the Capitol building.
2. Various law enforcement elements also assisted in the attack, as rogue cops and current and ex-military were from around the country. Current members of the NYPD and the Seattle police force are in footage as part of the mob. Officials also identified active-duty troops participating in the attack – plus a police chief and a sheriff – as members of the group. The guy inside the House chamber carrying the large number of police-grade handcuff zip-ties is a retired Lt. Colonel.
3. Trump was the ringleader and the inciter – and when some officials made cries of help to him to send in the National Guard to protect the Capitol and the elected representatives, he refused.
4. The attack was a dry run for more violent attacks the terrorists are planning to launch before the Inauguration.
5. Many Republican Congress members tell their staff to stay home on Wednesday “for their safety.” Everyone knew there would be trouble. Yet, stunningly, 1,900 Capitol Police were told to stay home on Wednesday. Only 400 reported to work.
6. So far, the officials did not charge the arrested terrorists as domestic terrorists. “Trespassing” is the most common charge.
7. White supremacists were everywhere in the mob. Some wore T-shirts proclaiming, “6 Million Was Not Enough.” The U.S. military and police departments across the country have many white supremacists and hard-core racists.
Moore is not the only one who discovered the plot. Anyone watching the terrorists invading the Capitol figured that out. They knew the entry points; they knew the stairwell of Congress. They knew the chambers of congress members as if someone had briefed them about it. They had a plan and were willingly carrying it out.
The President, his family, and trusted friends were watching it on television to await the news of the murder of a few Democrats and Republicans to declare a state of emergency and impose martial law to save the Republic.
In the crowd were people who had sided with Trump during the last four years. One such group comprised of Hindutva fascists, the Indian PM Modi supporters, who had endorsed Trump in the Howdy Modi rally in his official capacity. He proudly told his Hindu fans in Houston in 2019, “Abki Bar, Trump Sarkar” (Elect Trump this time).
In several Hindu temples, special religious ceremonies (havan) took place before the November 3 election seeking Trump’s deities. Angry at the loss of Trump, the Hindu fascists, carrying India’s national flag were present among the terrorists, cheering and inciting the crowd. For them, Trump was a reincarnation of Vishnu. It did not bother them that they were not yet the citizens of the country.
Christian evangelists believe that Trump is the Jesus with a mission to turn the US into a white nation in large numbers with religious symbols holding the Bible and praising the Lord. They received grants from their churches or wealthy donors to travel to DC to bring about revolution.
Many of these religious fanatics were from law enforcement agencies or veterans with combat training. When Guiliani incited the crowd and assured them of a trial by combat, he was appealing to ex-servicemen and women to be part of the terrorist mob. Those who climbed the walls of buildings, broke the windows had come intending to kill. Some got killed.
Zionist extremists hoisting Israeli flags were also part of the crowd with their plan. After all, a Zionist extremist was the son-in-law of the President involved in ensuring the interests of the apartheid state in the Trump administration while coercing some Arab regimes into normalising relations with Israel.
Zionist extremists such as the gambling Tzar, Sheldon, believe that the Democratic Administration could plot for the removal of Netanyahu while giving some concessions to the Palestinians. They view Christian evangelists as an ally for creating a greater Israel.
The dangers are looking large on the Republic. The Inauguration of Biden would not suppress the terror by the groups mentioned above. Americans need to be aware of these groups and their intentions. A victory in an election does not mean a triumph over terror.’https://www.amust.com.au/2021/01/trumps-legacy-insurrection-impeachment-and-threats/
Whether the USA has President Trump or not when the schools are teaching critical race theory along with who knows what else the outcome will be disastrous for the nation as a whole!
If you only read one article today from this blog this just might be the one to read. The Left is so hypocritical one is amazed how they continue to show their face in public BUT that’s the Left!
‘There are some things you just can’t make up.
During Wednesday’s debate on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives over the impeachment of President Donald Trump, Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas) referenced a quote from House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), who, in 2018, called for “uprisings all over the country.”
Gohmert’s intention was to highlight the double standard that exists between conservatives and progressives.
“Here’s a quote: ‘I just don’t even know why there aren’t more — why there aren’t uprisings all over the country, and maybe there will be,’” Gohmert said, referencing words from Pelosi. “Or: ‘Sadly, the domestic enemies of our voting system and honoring our Constitution are right at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. with their allies in Congress.’ We are called ‘enemies’ of the state. Those were all quotes from our speaker.”
“Now, on our side, we didn’t take those to be impeachable, because we didn’t believe she surely meant that,” continued the Texas lawmaker. “But by the Democrats taking this action, you’re telling me, ‘No, when we say those, we actually mean to incite violence.’ That’s what this action is saying.”
Like clockwork, as Fox News documented, many in the media quickly lended credibility to Gohmert’s claim.
CNN analyst Asha Rangappa rebuked Gohmert for “encouraging MORE uprisings,” Law & Crime columnist Elura Nanos tweeted the Republican’s testimony “should be used to immediately expel him.” In addition, Vox editor Laura McGann, Washington Post reporter Aaron Blake, and Politico managing editor Blake Hounshell all wrongly attributed Pelosi’s words to Gohmert, suggesting he was calling for “uprisings” ahead of President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration next week.
Hounshell and Blake later deleted their tweets.
As for Pelosi, she made the comment in reference to the backlash Trump faced in the summer of 2018 for his administration’s policy of separating children from their parents at the U.S.-Mexico border. The second remark — about the “domestic enemies of our voting system” — came in August 2020, when the House speaker was rebuking Republicans for voicing concerns about mass mail-in voting in the presidential election.
In October of last year, now-Vice President-elect Kamala Harris faced criticism for her comments to “The Late Show” host Stephen Colbert. Speaking of the Black Lives Matter protests, many of which devolved into violent riots last summer, Harris said: “They’re not going to stop. They’re not. This is a movement. I’m telling you. They’re not going to stop and, everyone, beware. Because they’re not going to stop. They’re not going to stop before Election Day in November, and they are not going to stop after Election Day. And everyone should take note of that on both levels: That they’re not going to let up. And they should not, and we should not.”
It’s worth noting Harris did condemn violence one time, in late August. She said: “We must always defend peaceful protest and peaceful protesters,” adding, “We should not confuse them with those looting and committing acts of violence.”
We would, of course, be remiss if we didn’t mention the now-infamous moment on CNN in August, when national correspondent Omar Jimenez stood in front of a building engulfed in flames in Kenosha, Wisconsin, where he claimed the protests had been “largely peaceful.” The network’s chyron at the bottom of the screen read: “Fiery but mostly peaceful protests after police shooting.”
And on MSNBC, anchor Ali Velshi — standing just yards away from the blazing scene — explained: “I want to be clear on how I characterize this. This is mostly a protest. It is not, generally speaking, unruly, but fires have been started…”
CNN ran the chyron tonight: “FIERY BUT MOSTLY PEACEFUL PROTESTS AFTER POLICE SHOOTING” while a fire raged in the background. pic.twitter.com/nEIKhTrepE— Steve Guest (@SteveGuest) August 27, 2020
On Wednesday, Democrats — joined by 10 Republicans — voted to impeach Trump following a deadly riot that broke out in the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6. The violent melee has resulted in six deaths, including those of two officers with the Capitol Police.
Lawmakers have argued Trump’s rhetoric about what he believes to be a “stolen election” incited the violence that unfolded in Washington, D.C.
The president, it should be noted, has condemned the violence. In a brief address from the Oval Office on Wednesday night, Trump said he “unequivocally condemn[s] the violence that we saw last week.”
“Violence and vandalism have absolutely no place in our country and no place in our movement,” he said. “Making America Great Again has always been about defending rule of law, supporting the men and women of law enforcement and upholding our nation’s most sacred traditions and values. Mob violence goes against everything I believe in and everything our movement stands for.”
