Wish Australian politicians understood this!
The renewable energy debacle in Germany means that it won’t axe its nuclear plants and is likely to start building more of them, like their French neighbours.
The French, of course, set the benchmark for generating clean, safe and reliable nuclear power; they’ve been doing so for nearly 60 years and still get over 75% of their electricity from their nuclear plants, and export large volumes of what they generate to power starved Germans and Brits.
Meanwhile, Australia sits as the only G20 Nation to not employ nuclear power. With the power pricing and supply catastrophe out in Europe, Australia’s legislated ban on nuclear power looks positively insane.
Australia holds the world’s largest uranium reserves and, despite its shifting policy of limiting the number of mines and states that have banned them, is the world’s third-largest uranium exporter. Happy to export it, but too dim to use it…

“‘Hannah’, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, was told by the school that she had ‘no choice’ but to affirm ‘Child X’ through gender transition or face the consequences. She was also told that she could not share her Christian beliefs in the school or her view, after detailed research, that a trans-affirming approach to gender-confusion leads to long-term harm.
The school was backed in its position by a Stonewall activist working at the local authority and the local Church of England diocese.
Teachers were told that none of the children or parents in the school were to know the biological sex of Child X.
Child X was being supported in their secret gender transition by Mermaids, which the Department for Education has now stopped recommending as a mental health and wellbeing resource for schools.” https://christianconcern.com/news/teacher-sacked-for-raising-safeguarding-concerns-for-trans-child/

The sailor’s lament “Water, water everywhere, and not a drop to drink” is reminiscent of how most Americans must feel today about their cost of living.
The average working American has the equivalent of $3,000 less annually than when Joe Biden, pictured Oct. 12 departing the White House, became president. Pictured: Biden holds an Oct. 4 White House meeting on access to abortion. (Photo: Saul Loeb/AFP/Getty Images)
For instance, there are plenty of homes and apartments across the country, but good luck finding one that’s affordable—inflation and interest rate hikes under President Joe Biden have made that all but impossible.
Those two factors have made the average worker in America $4,200 poorer on an annual basis.
White House officials are quick to cite the recent rapid increase in nominal wages, but they somehow always leave out the fact that prices have risen even faster than wages…

The New York Times is signaling that they’re not wild about Joe Biden running for president again. Suddenly, they announced his statements are routinely un-factual. He’s a habitual liar. Why is this discovery emerging now?
The online headline of their October 11 story was: “Biden, Storyteller in Chief, Spins Yarns That Often Unravel: President Biden has been unable to break himself of the habit of embellishing narratives to weave a political identity.”
Times reporters Michael Shear and Linda Qiu began with Biden telling survivors of Hurricane Ian that he and Jill lost most of a house to a lightning strike. That’s not true. News reports at the time described it as “a small fire that was contained to the kitchen” They said this wasn’t an isolated embellishment. They noted Biden once told this story as “having had a house burn down with my wife in…

Virginia’s Republican attorney general, Jason Miyares, is vowing to protect parental rights after a Democrat in the state House of Delegates voiced support for a bill to criminalize a parent’s disagreement with his or her child’s stated gender identity.
Virginia’s Republican governor, Glenn Youngkin, announced a new policy last month, putting parents in the driver’s seat when it comes to transgender identity. Delegate Elizabeth Guzman responded to Youngkin’s plan with a pledge to weaponize laws against child abuse.

FOLLOW THE MONEY!!
By David Wojick, Ph.D. ~
The UN’s annual climate change global negotiating festival — in this case COP27 in Egypt — is less than a month away. This one could be a real hoot to watch because there is only one big issue left on the table and that is MONEY.
Lots of money, many trillions by the wishes, all flowing from the developed world to the “developing” world. (Since the so-called developing world still includes the super economy of China the word has lost all meaning.)
The money hopes are spectacular but also hopeless, hence the show. How this immense absurdity will emerge during the lucky 13 days of negotiations between the rich countries and the we-want-your-riches countries should be fun to watch.
Here is a simple scorecard so you can follow the action. First and foremost the code word is “finance”. This is not foreign aid and you…
