I remember as a kid hearing about the KGB infiltrating churches so they could later arrest the pastors and other leaders. Communism hates Christianity and those who worship God so the CCP China virus has exposed this same hatred for God and Christianity in the West today. Now, in Canada ‘The Chilliwack RCMP says it is investigating whether in-person church services held Sunday contravened provincial health orders meant to slow the spread of COVID-19.
“Although the vast majority of places of worship in Chilliwack and throughout our region are complying with the directions of the provincial health order, a small number of congregations continue to conduct in-person services contrary to” the order, the RCMP said in a Sunday media release.
It comes after several churches in the Fraser Valley held in-person services last Sunday, defying the regulation they say violates their constitutional rights.
Langley’s Riverside Calvary Chapel was issued a $2,300 fine for violating the order.
Police said they would not comment further, in order to protect the integrity of the investigation and the privacy of “all individuals.”
Both Free Grace Baptist Church and Free Reformed Church in Chilliwack also held services last weekend.
The province banned in-person worship on Nov. 19, citing surging COVID-19 case numbers.

This has already happened in several instances, but thus far primarily in cases where one parent opposes transition and other supports it (in two ongoing cases in Canada and the U.S., the mothers are supporting–and pushing–transition while the fathers oppose it.) In Australia, it has begun as well:
An Australian magistrate ordered that a gender-confused teenage girl be removed from her home after the magistrate called the parents’ refusal to allow her to ‘transition’ into a boy “abusive.”
Police removed the 15-year old from her home after the state children’s court magistrate cited in an October protection order the girl’s risk of self-harm. The girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, allegedly discussed suicide in online chatrooms.
The parents, who also cannot be named, objected to what they described as bullying by authorities and are in the process of appealing the decision. They deny any abuse of their daughter.
“The authorities say we will not allow her to change gender, so it’s dangerous for her to come back to our house because we will mentally abuse her — they want us to consent to testosterone treatment,” the father told The Australian in a Nov. 28 report.
The parents expressed grief over the loss of their daughter, according to The Australian, and the mother said family and friends were shocked by the magistrate’s order.
“Especially Australians, they just can’t believe that it happens in Australia,” the mother said.
The parents are asking for a second opinion before doctors move ahead in giving their daughter hormone injections and possible surgery to make her look more like a male. Lawyers representing the teenager have already filed legal action on Nov. 7 for doctors to begin ‘transitioning’ the female to make her look male.
The country’s child protection authorities, however, have reportedly agreed to the parents’ request for a second opinion, reported The Australian.
A lawyer representing the parents says that the magistrate made an error in the decision when the magistrate insisted that the ruling had, in the words of The Australian report, “nothing to do with the causes of gender dysphoria or treatment options.” The lawyer filed the papers on Nov. 20.
“It’s controversial because different doctors can come up with different diagnoses and different treatments, so for parents to seek a second opinion before going along with irreversible treatment is wholly appropriate,” the lawyer, who also cannot be named, said.
Former political candidate Vickie Janson, a cultural conservationist and author from Melbourne, called the court’s pushing of the girl toward hormones to make her look more like a male “just reckless.”
“Even the lawyer can’t be named (needs protection?) when representing parents who seek ‘an independent psychologist to consider all possible underlying causes’ … rushing to damaging and irreversible treatments is just reckless,” she commented on Facebook in a Nov. 28 post.
Trans activists are successfully persuading both politicians and judges that when faced with gender dysphoria, there are only two options: Affirmation or suicide.
They do not explain why rates of gender dysphoria are spiking across the West; they demonize academics like Dr. Lisa Littman and Abigail Shrier who highlight the danger of this path; they celebrate permanent and irreversible physical damage as necessary transformation.
Some trans-friendly psychologists like Dr. Wallace Wong of British Columbia have turned trans kids into a cottage industry–Wong has actually been caught advising children to threaten suicide as a way of blackmailing their parents into accepting treatment they think might harm their children.
Conversion therapy is not only legal, it is encouraged. If you wish to persuade a boy or girl not to “transition” or “convert” to the opposite sex, progressives are calling that “conversion therapy.”

Would the lovers of renewables lie to us? Well, ‘Tasmania’s recent announcement that it is being powered 100% of the time by renewable energy is so much fake news.
Tasmania does, indeed, have enviable hydropower resources, which Tasmania can fairly claim to be a “renewable energy source”.
However, Tasmania suffers severe droughts – just like every other part of Australia. And, when it does, the water eventually runs out. In which case, the Apple Isle either imports coal-fired power across the Bass Strait from Victoria via an undersea cable or, it does what it did a few years ago, and ships in hundreds of MWs worth of diesel generators.
There is very little solar power generated in Tasmania – a place renowned for its bitterly cold winters, snow and heavy rainfall. And it has a trivial 560 MW worth of wind power generation capacity which, of course, produces no power at all for around 60 to 70% of the time. So, in reality, any claims being made about Tasmania’s renewable energy generation hinges almost entirely on its hydropower resources.

The Tasmania government has declared that it has become the first Australian state, and one of just a handful of jurisdictions worldwide, to be powered entirely by renewable electricity.
In a statement released on Friday, Tasmanian energy minister Guy Barnett said that state had effectively become entirely self-sufficient for supplies of renewable electricity, supplied by the state’s wind and hydroelectricity projects.
“We have reached 100 per cent thanks to our commitment to realising Tasmania’s renewable energy potential through our nation-leading energy policies and making Tasmania attractive for industry investment, which in turn is creating jobs across the State, particularly in our regions,” Barnett said.
Tasmania has long had one of the greenest supplies of electricity in Australia, with the state’s significant hydroelectricity resources supplying the bulk of the state’s power. Tasmania’s history with hydroelectricity dates back to 1895, with the Duck Reach power plant in Launceston becoming the first publicly owned hydroelectric power station in the southern hemisphere.…

Tasmania’s electricity grid is facing its biggest challenge in years, with its hydro storage about to fall to its lowest levels ever, bushfires forcing the closure of some power facilities, and a faulty cable cutting the connection between the island and the country’s main electricity grid.
The Apple Isle’s main source of electricity – hydro power – is being challenged by its driest ever spring, pushing reserves down to just 18.9 per cent.
The lowest level ever is 16.5 per cent, reached in 2007, but overall storage levels are predicted to fall to a low of 14 per cent by the end of March – if normal rainfall patterns resume. At current rates, however, some fear they may fall below those levels, although there has been some light rain in recent days.
To make matters worse, the Basslink cable linking the island’s grid to the mainland has been cut by technical problems, and will probably remain closed for another two months, while the raging bushfires have threatened power lines and forced the temporary closure of at least four hydro plants …

I guess the lesson is if most of your state is a giant mountainous watershed you can build enough hydro to go 100% renewable. So not an option for most parts of the world.
Having said that, even the cold, rainy island state of Tasmania suffers droughts. If they have drained their dams selling green electrons to the mainland, and the rains fail, all it takes is a little of their regular undersea inter-connector trouble at the wrong time and they’re back to expensive diesel power. So not quite 100% renewable then.
And of course we’re quietly ignoring the fact Tasmania imports a lot of energy intensive goods.
The saddest part of this story, most of the green campaigners who risked their lives opposing bulldozing and flooding pristine wilderness during the 70s and 80s hydro construction projects have pretty much sold out to the idea of big green.
