This is my first video uploaded to Rumble. It is an interview Ben Fordham had with One Nation’s Mark Latham concerning the Liberal/Nationals push for 100% renewable energy in the next ten years.
Renewables

Western leaders are either so stupid or so leftist they cannot think logically. In this climate scam argument there is no sane discussion. Facts show that renewables cannot now or in the near future provide the energy Western nations need. Nevertheless, ‘Boris Johnson reckons wind power’s the future for Britain. If so, it’s a future that will soon resemble England’s bitter Dark Ages.
The UK has already had its taste of mass blackouts thanks to sudden and unpredictable collapses in wind power output. Now, as Brits head into winter, it’s a case of much more of the same.
A bout of calm weather has Britain’s grid managers begging for reliable power from, you guessed it, those same fossil fuel-powered sources that Boris claims he’ll soon replace entirely by corralling the British Isles with thousands more of these things.’https://stopthesethings.com/2020/11/09/into-the-black-calm-weather-leaves-britains-power-grid-at-risk-of-total-collapse/
Australian politicians must have a death wish for the nation. Why would I say that? ‘Australia’s renewable energy policy reads more like a suicide note than an energy roadmap. In a couple of months – as temperatures rise and, so too, the demand for electricity to power millions of air conditioners – the power rationing will begin in earnest (again) and the daily spot price for electricity will go through the roof (again).
Like the alcoholic husband who keeps promising his long-suffering wife that he’ll go easy on the grog next time, those in charge of Australia’s energy debacle quickly forget what happened the summer before, and the summer before that.
Instead of getting serious about serious power generation, energy ministers, both state and federal, just keep on keeping on – with mandated renewable energy targets, soft loans and endless subsidies to wind and solar.
The result is that Australia’s reliable, dispatchable and dependable fleet of coal-fired power plants are unable to turn a profit, denied the ability to deliver power around-the-clock. The long-term consequence is a slow and inevitable destruction of Australia’s once reliable and affordable power supply.https://stopthesethings.com/2020/10/22/renewables-reckoning-wind-solar-deliver-power-pricing-supply-calamity/
The Climate Scam continues to simply be a trail that follows the money. Here in Australia a person that finds themselves so far out that the electric grid is not available why would you not have solar or wind. I remember back in Iowa as a boy the windmills were seen on almost every Iowa farm.
These were built out of necessity and without government subsidies. Not so with the renewables of today. Here in Australia the renewable industry receives billions from both the state and Federal governments. What a joke!
No wonder, ‘Australia is currently installing solar and wind energy at the fastest rate of any major nation, according to Professor Ken Baldwin when he was the keynote speaker at the National Renewables in Agriculture conference and expo held in Wagga Wagga.
Taking into account both utility-scale renewables and domestic rooftop solar, we are installing more generating capacity per person each year (250 watts) than any other major country.
“Furthermore, Australia leads the world in domestic solar usage with more than 24 percent of households owning rooftop panels,” he said.
“This is in spite of the almost total absence of Federal Government planning to align climate and energy policy in response to climate change.
“The renewables revolution is instead being driven largely by the competitive economics of renewables, as more households cash in on the rooftop solar boom.”

Professor Baldwin said this revolution is also happening in agriculture where, for example, stand-alone solar-powered irrigation is starting to replace increasingly more expensive diesel-powered systems.’
“For rural properties and communities at the fringe of the electricity grid, the ability to combine rooftop solar or even small-scale wind with battery storage is also becoming more attractive as a way of addressing power outages.’
Now, the professor whose University receives millions of government dollars goes on to say “Security of supply is becoming crucial as disruptions caused by extreme weather events are predicted to increase due to climate change. This makes having your own stand-alone electricity system – or being part of a micro-grid with your neighbours – even more attractive in some fringe-of-grid locations.”‘ This goofy statement is made because the solar and wind cannot provide consistent reliable energy twenty four hours per day!
The professor admitted that “…even solar systems combined with battery storage will struggle when there are too many days in a row of cloud and rain. This can be circumvented by purchasing a diesel generator as a reserve, but this adds further to the cost.”
For both these reasons, Professor Baldwin said having a grid connection may provide useful backup – although utility companies will undoubtedly charge for such a service.’
Then this professor who gets a salary for pushing this climate scam concluded by saying that ‘In such future electricity markets, the ability to not only call on millions of rooftop generators, but also to ask millions of electricity customers to briefly curtail their demand, will increasingly be used to balance the system as the total penetration of renewables approaches 100 percent.
“So while on the face of it disconnecting from the grid and going it alone might seem attractive, there are many reasons to suggest that the grid is often your friend,” Professor Baldwin noted.’ https://www.theland.com.au/story/6537158/renewable-energy-in-agriculture-grid-or-off-grid/?src=rss&utm_email=1ec342a17f
I am old enough to remember when my parents first had air-conditioning at home. Wow, we were thrilled never thinking that one day in the future we would have to shut it off to SAVE THE PLANET! Again, I remind the reader to remember Genesis 8:22 While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.
Where Civil War battles were once fought there is a new battle being fought ‘…on the farms surrounding Culpeper, Va., about an hour outside Washington, D.C., and in the shadow of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Now, a new conflict is underway, as members of the local community push back against energy providers attempting to cover Culpeper—and other parts of rural Virginia—with solar facilities, sometimes thousands of acres in size.
The push for solar in Virginia is part of a nationwide effort to ramp up several fashionable renewable energy sources in the United States. To attract energy providers, federal, state, and local governments offer generous tax credits and subsidies for solar and wind facilities.
Virginia’s General Assembly voted in 2016 to subsidize solar and wind energy with an 80 percent sales and use tax exemption for machinery, tools, and equipment for public service corporations, following a number of legislative pushes for clean energy in the state. It was a successful strategy: Since the decision, solar providers have gained approval to set up shop in Spotsylvania, Chesterfield, Accomack, and other communities. The proposed solar facility in Culpeper, operated by the California-based Cricket Solar, will cover 800 acres of land intended for agricultural use and is set to produce 80 megawatts of power for the county.
But a growing body of research shows that, in the long run, solar isn’t efficient enough to justify the land used and the money spent to make it a primary energy source. Doug Orye, an industrial electrical engineer who operates a farm near Culpeper, said he fears that solar companies moving into Virginia are using up land that would be better served for agricultural use.
“We’re destroying huge amounts of land for a system that, at best, is 20 percent efficient,” he told the Washington Free Beacon, explaining that for their cost, solar facilities produce an almost negligible amount of energy.
Orye added that in his experience, solar works best in small-scale situations, such as panels installed on private rooftops and sheds. For larger scale projects, though, the area solar panels cover coupled with their fickle nature—such as the impossibility of use on rainy days or at night—makes them not worth a hefty investment from government entities.’ https://freebeacon.com/issues/virginias-push-for-solar-panels-offers-few-rays-of-hope/
The Left-leaning Greenies have several agendas of which one is to bankrupt Western nations through wasting billions on so-called renewables. Here in Australia, we are fighting the same battles these fruit loop Green environmentalists are pushing there in the US of A.
Sadly, here in Australia, both major parties have swallowed the kool-aid. We don’t have a Donald Trump that hasn’t partaken of the kool-aid thinking that these ignorant renewable greenies believe are the answer to whatever catastrophe they are prophesying. This renewable obsession is a religion to these people. They, or at least they seem to believe they can save the earth from whatever they falsely believe we humans are doing to it. Their biggest enemy here in Australia is coal. Even though the exporting of coal brings billions of dollars into the Australian economy and provides thousands of jobs these eco-rodents are bound and determined to cease coal being mined and exported.
If the renewable fruit loop Australian Labor Party wins May 18, 2019, Australian Federal Election burning the furniture to keep warm this winter may be the average man’s only option.
What scares me most is not so much Ocasio-Cortez and her socialist ideas but those who voted her in!
‘According to an eye-popping PJ Media analysis based on a new report from Power the Future, the “Green New Deal” proposed by democratic socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) would cost more than 8,000 times as much as President Donald Trump’s border wall.
The “Green New Deal” will cost approximately $49,109 trillion in the first ten years, enough to fund Trump’s border wall 8,616 times over. The president is requesting $5.7 billion for the wall.
PJ Media calculated the cost of the “Green New Deal” by integrating each of the cost aspects involved in a Power the Future analysis and calculating their cost for the U.S. over about ten years — and in one case through 2050.
According to Ocasio-Cortez, the “Green New Deal” will force America to transition to an economy run from 100 percent renewable energy. Christopher Clark, a physicist who has studied rapid deployments of renewable energy, told The Hill that building this kind of generating capacity would cost “at least $2 trillion.”
Ocasio-Cortez has also called for a smart power grid to replace the U.S. power grid, an estimated cost of $338 billion on the low end ($476 billion on the high end), according to the Electric Power Research Institute. This kind of transition may be a good idea in general, but it drives up the cost of the “Green New Deal” nonetheless.
The proposal would also call for decarbonization of U.S. industries — a massive task. According to a June 2018 study from McKinsey and Company, the cost to decarbonize steel, cement, ethylene, and ammonia manufacturing worldwide is between $11 trillion and $21 trillion through 2050. It remains unclear exactly how long this would take for U.S. markets, but calculating the U.S. percentage of each industry and applying that industry’s percentage of the global $11 trillion cost should provide a ballpark figure.
The U.S. produces roughly 5 percent of the world’s steel, 1.8 percent of the world’s cement, 18.6 percent of the world’s ethylene, and 6.3 percent of the world’s ammonia. The McKinsey study did not explicitly break down the exact cost of decarbonizing each separate industry, but cement roughly contributed 60 percent of the cost, with steel contributing roughly 25 percent, ammonia roughly 5 percent, and ethylene roughly 10 percent. Applying these numbers to the U.S. production yields $496.3 billion.’ More of this insanity may be read at https://pjmedia.com/trending/ocasio-cortezs-green-new-deal-would-cost-more-than-the-gdp-of-most-countries/?utm_source=PJMCoffeeBreak&utm_medium=email&utm_term=January2019
Here in Australia, the leftists believe pretty much the same thing. In New South Wales the so-called Energy Minister is ‘…a sanctimonious windbag, is part of a small and insidious clique of Liberal politicians and lobbyists heavily invested in the renewable energy scam. His recent unhinged rantings sound more like what might be heard at a Green party RE love in, rather than what should be emanating from a Minister in a notionally conservative government, claiming the pretense of caring about industry, jobs and growth.
Among the complete and utter nonsense spouted about Australia’s self-inflicted energy debacle, Harwin made the ludicrous statement that wind and solar are more reliable than the conventional generation sources, gas and coal. Perhaps the sun never sets on Harwin? And he can never have seen a graphic like the one above: the output from every wind turbine connected to Australia’s Eastern Grid last month.’ https://stopthesethings.com/2019/01/05/delusional-nsw-energy-minister-claims-wind-solar-more-reliable-than-coal-gas/
Why, are these elected officials so determined to take society back to the dark ages? I personally believe; (1) they are servants of the Devil. God has provided mankind with not only a mind that has thought through those methods to bring forth the machines that have made our lives better but God has given us the natural resources such as coal and gas that power most of the things that make our lives better. (2) They are at war with God. (3) They believe IF there is a God they are wiser than God is!
Well, they have a hard lesson to learn and all my ranting and writing will probably not stop these buffoons but I know He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.
The lunacy of the climate change folk would be laughable if it was not so scary. These worshipers of Mother Earth are determined to take Western civilization back two hundred years. Who knows if they will be content then!
‘Modern society depends on always available power. If power goes down then society stops. There are no phones, no internet, no ATMs, no refrigeration, no sewage pumps – nothing, and if a large city like London is without power for more than 12 hours rioting and looting would quickly take hold. It is therefore inconceivable not to ensure that we have reliable energy at all times. So an energy plan for the UK must be able to meet demand even on the coldest evening of the year in winter with no wind and no solar. For this reason, Renewable energy can never under any realistic scenario meet that target. To imagine that battery prices could fall enough to make wind and solar backup such enormous power demands is simply a delusion.
Renewables are very low density and for significant energy supply require vast areas of
land. Solar energy is unsuitable for the UK because during winter output is 9 times lower than summer. Since we have to find a reliable zero-carbon solution for the winter, it makes no sense to switch it off in the summer just because we like renewables.’ http://clivebest.com/blog/?p=7120
