Sadly the world continues its war against God and His Word.
Genesis 15:18 In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates: 19 The Kenites, and the Kenizzites, and the Kadmonites, 20 And the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Rephaims, 21 And the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Girgashites, and the Jebusites.
‘I am starting to think I need to file a First Amendment lawsuit over that insane bulletin from the Department of Homeland Security on Feb. 7.
In case you’ve forgotten, that report – a public declaration of the federal government’s official view of terrorism – called the top terrorist threat to the United States:
false or misleading narratives, which sow discord or undermine public trust in U.S. government institutions.
Their words, not mine.
Trying to “undermine public trust in U.S. government institutions” is now a terrorist act?
Then I’m a terrorist.
Especially since the bulletin specifically mentions COVID-19: there is widespread online proliferation of false or misleading narratives regarding unsubstantiated widespread election fraud and COVID-19.
There’s that word “misleading” again. As this White House has made clear, “misleading” facts are those that lead people to opinions of conclusions it doesn’t like.
No, no one has knocked on my door or threatened to arrest me.
But that does mean the government is not targeting me – along with other prominent Covid and vaccine skeptics. Per the bulletin, the Department of Homeland Security in 2021 expanded its evaluation of online activity as part of its efforts to assess and prevent acts of violence.
The government has other tools against people it classifies as terrorists too, including plenty of secret ones.
And remember, to be a terrorist under these terms, your speech simply has to “potentially inspire acts of violence.”
Potentially.
If this isn’t a government effort to discourage lawful speech, I don’t know what is. The question is whether it is so broad and dangerous that I can prove it will have a chilling and unconstitutional effect on me (and other people) even if I do not know I am being targeted. It feels like a form of prior restraint, all the worse for being so broad.
Will courts agree? There may be only one way to find out.
Matthew 16:2 “He answered and said unto them, When it is evening, ye say, [It will be] fair weather: for the sky is red.”
‘One good test of whether a theory is scientific is whether the theory can accurately predict new and surprising findings. If you have a barometer, you may do this all the time. The sky may be clear, but the barometer is falling fast. No matter how nice the weather looks, you know that rain is likely.
Creation scientists believe that humans have been on Earth in their present so-called “modern” form ever since the model first came out. Since that was on day six of creation, humans have been on Earth as long as any creature. So creation scientists have predicted that as we find more fossils, we will find fossils of “modern man” in older and older rocks. Such a discovery would shock the evolutionists!
Evolutionists say that, according to their theory, “modern” humans have been around for only a small part of the world’s history. In their inflated estimate, they say we have been here for only 35,000 years. Evolutionists received a surprise when that age recently had to be almost tripled. A new discovery pushed the date for “modern” humans back 92,000 years. As a result, evolutionists had to admit that we turn out to be older than some of the creatures from which we were supposed to have evolved!
Of course, one has to take the hot air out of those evolutionary dates. They can be adjusted down to a number that fits the biblical calendar. However, the scientific prediction made by creation scientists has proven out. And creationists are predicting that the history of “modern” humanity will continue to be pushed back further and further!
Matthew 6:25 “Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?”
‘A 2019 poll in the UK discovered that 40% of the public describe themselves as very worried or extremely worried about climate change. A similar poll three years earlier put the figure at 19%, so that worry has doubled in three years.
As with all issues having to do with science, the foundational passages to which we must turn are found in Genesis. The first place to look is Genesis 1:28. When God blessed the first human beings, He gave them dominion over all living creatures and gave them authority to “fill the earth and subdue it.” The verse implies first that humans have authority to exploit the earth’s resources, and second, to do so in a manner of good stewards. Add to this basis the fact that God was prepared to cause massive climate change, as a punishment for human sin, by sending the global Flood of Genesis 6 through 9. God would be justified in sending another Flood today – except that He has promised not to do so in Genesis 9:11. Moreover, in Genesis 8:22, He promised that our current pattern of seasons would continue, until the end of the world.
‘Imagine that you are the child of the famous painter, Michelangelo. You grew up watching your father paint the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. Each stroke of the brush revealed his love, creative genius, and masterful perfection.
Years later as you’re walking beneath your father’s great work, a guide enters leading a group of tourists. As they stand in awe under the grandeur of the artistic work, you hear the tour guide boldly state that the ceiling occurred by naturalistic processes over countless years as water leaked through the roof and stained the plaster. The people are told by their expert guide that what appears as an intentionally designed work of beauty is strictly a chance occurrence.
Would you not, as Michelangelo’s child, rise up in righteous indignation at the telling of such a flagrant lie? If the guide said that your father had used the random procedure of dripping water through the plaster to create the masterpiece, would that lie have been any more palatable?
The modern “tour guides” of our world are evolutionists who would have us believe that all of the purpose, eloquent design, and astronomical complexity of life just happened as chance naturalistic processes (such as mutations) formed life over billions of years. Liberal theologians would have us believe that God used such a process to make things.
Should not Christians boldly proclaim the truth so that more people may come to know the true Master Artist and come to trust His written revelation to mankind (the Bible)?’http://www.searchforthetruth.net/
Today the digital vaccine passport but tomorrow what will it be? Revelation 13:17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
‘A Wharton school grad and his father, a doctor, developed the “Immunaband” – a wearable smart device, which is much akin to a smartwatch in appearance and is being used to show the status of vaccination with a tag.
Users have to upload their vaccination card and the Immunaband makes it easy for others to know about their status of vaccination. With little consideration for the implications in terms of civil liberties, the technology is already being adopted by various businesses.
A restaurant called El Merkury Sophia Deleon in the Reading Terminal market of Philadelphia has all its employees wearing the Immunaband, a simple blue bracelet that displays a QR code. By scanning the code, you can validate the status of vaccination of the individual wearing it.
The restaurant owner of El Merkury said that they had partnered with Immunaband for uploading their vaccine cards and explicitly letting their customers know that the restaurant staff is vaccinated.
Dr. Tashof Bernton, one of the two individuals behind Immunaband, said: “As we come back together as a society, it’s nice to have to have a way to tell each other I’m safe and I’ve been vaccinated. You get the Imunnaband, you upload your card, and it’s with you all the time if you want it. You just use the QR code.”
At a juncture where governments around the world are considering introducing vaccine passports and have taken several steps to make that resolution a reality, innovations such as Immunaband no longer come as a surprise.
