With all the bad news on Covid-19 and what it has done to lives and livelihoods here is a wonderful story. The writer says ‘I worry that we live in a culture today where growing numbers of people look outside themselves for success. And when they fail, it’s always someone else’s fault. But the government, your parents, your education, and your job aren’t the key to your success – you are. Whenever I feel my dreams losing steam, I always think of Booker T. Washington. Born a slave in 1858, his childhood years were
anything but pleasant. The family’s farm cabin had no glass windows, and any opening to let in light also let in the freezing wind in the winter. The floor of the cabin was dirt.
The life of slave was back-breaking work that started before the sun came up and continued long after it went down again. His childhood was also lived out during the Civil War, which created turmoil, fear, and uncertainty in the lives of Southern slaves and added additional pressure to an already hopeless state of affairs.
But in spite of that desperate situation, young Booker dreamed of an education. His goal was learning—real learning. Not just the ability to read a newspaper or dime-store novel, but a desire to learn science, mathematics, history, and more. Years later, working deep in a coal mine, he overheard some of the miners talking about a school five hundred miles away called the Hampton Institute. He immediately decided that one day he would attend the school, in spite of the distance.
His dream simply would not die. As a result, he not only attended the school, but was later asked to lead a new program in Alabama called the Tuskegee Institute. He eventually built Tuskegee into a major college campus with more than fifteen hundred students and a faculty of two hundred professors.
There was not one single thing in Booker T. Washington’s life that helped him except the power of a dream. Starting out he had no money, no education, no training, no influence, and no future. He was just another slave among thousands, with no potential other than living out his life working in obscurity on a forgotten Southern farm.
But the power of his dream opened doors, filled him with motivation, and revealed his true promise. Millions of Americans have been directly touched or indirectly inspired by his story, and this nation is a better place because he never gave up on his dream.
If you feel that your situation is hopeless, just remember Booker T. Washington and start dreaming again.
Your future is up to you. Get on with it.’ https://mychristiandaily.com/stop-blaming-everyone-else-your-future-is-in-your-hands/
What’s the future for the USA and other Western nations when the public schools are more concerned with gender and social justice than maths and science? For instance, ‘A high school elective course in Westfield, New Jersey is now being introduced to teach students how horrible white people are.
The class is called “Power, Privilege & Imbalance in America.” It is based in the Marxist Frankfurt school philosophy of “critical race theory” and will “providing curricula that emphasize the role of race in every aspect of American society. Throughout the semester students examine the historical contexts that created the inequalities. Unit topics give voice to groups who have suffered from systemic oppression, and develop theoretical and practical ways for students to deconstruct the power structures.”
“Students will explore such concepts as Critical Consciousness, Multiculturalism and Diversity, Mass Incarceration and Police Brutality, ‘Colorblindnes’ (which is now considered racist), immigration, DACA, Black Lives Matter movement, the writings of W.E.B. Du Bois, ‘Model Minority’ myth of Asians, the creation of whiteness, ‘The White Man’s Burden,’ and more!”’https://www.teaparty247.org/the-sick-anti-white-brainwashing-new-jersey-schoolkids-are-now-subject-to/
‘RG LeTourneau is perhaps the most inspiring Christian inventor, businessman and entrepreneur the world has ever seen. A sixth grade dropout, Robert Gilmore “RG” LeTourneau went on to become the leading earth moving machinery manufacturer of his day with plants on 4 continents, more than 300 patents to his name and major contributions to road construction and heavy equipment that forever changed the world. Most importantly, his contribution to the advancement of the Gospel ranks him among the greatest of Christian Businessmen of all time. Famous for living on 10% of his income and giving 90% to the spread of the Gospel, LeTourneau exemplified what a Christian businessman should be.’ http://www.giantsforgod.com/rg-letourneau/

‘A prestigious Christian girls’ school in Australia has prompted a mixed response after announcing it has accepted a pupil who was born as a boy but now identifies as a girl.
The Glennie School, an Anglican institution in the state of Queensland, confirmed the news via an email to mums and dads at the weekend.
In the message, which was seen by the ABC Brisbane, the private school’s headteacher Kim Cohen said: “In our Middle/Senior years, we have a young girl who was born into a boy’s body.
“I know this is a concept many of us may struggle to grasp, but please take time out to think about how much harder it must have been for her to make the realisation.
“As a Christian school where we strive to live by the teachings of Jesus, I believe our job is an easy one – we accept those we perceive as different to us, we treat them with the same respect, integrity and compassion that we do all members of the community, and we do so with love.”
Local transgender Anglican priest Jo Inkpin congratulated The Glennie School – which is in the town of Toowoomba – saying she was “so proud”.
But one Facebook user wrote “[I] feel sorry for those parents that wanted an all-girl school for their daughter(s]”, while another said “so much for being a girls’ school… we had our hearts set on Glennie… but now seeking alternatives.”’ http://mychristiandaily.com/australian-christian-school-accepts-first-transgender-pupil/
Since the Anglican denomination has a priest that is already confused on their gender what follows will not really matter to them! However, God does not make mistakes. Here is the Lord Jesus speaking:
Matthew 19:4 And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female,
Mark 10:6 But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.
That should be clear enough!
Well, the radical ANTI-GOD ‘save the earth’ crowd are determined to do away with the

petrol and diesel vehicles at any cost. If they get their way you will be plugging in your vehicle sooner than you might think or want!
‘Transport Minister Barnaby Joyce has quashed the prospect of Australia replicating overseas bans on the sale of new petrol and diesel cars, as the Turnbull government splits on whether to encourage the electric vehicle industry.
Environment and Energy Minister Josh Frydenberg this week strongly backed the
prospects of electric vehicles in Australia against opposition from conservative backbenchers. He told Sky News on Tuesday that critics who ridiculed the technology would “probably be the ones buying them in a decade’s time”.
In an opinion piece for Fairfax Media this month, Mr Frydenberg said Australia should prepare for the electric car revolution that has already swept Europe and will soon hit China. He said France and Britain would end the sale of new diesel and petrol cars by 2040, and Norway and the Netherlands aimed to do so by 2025.
Asked whether Australia would follow suit, a spokeswoman for Infrastructure and Transport Minister Barnaby Joyce on Wednesday said his government had “no plan to ban the sale of new petrol and diesel cars … Australia’s transport policies are modelled on Australia’s needs.” His office declined to elaborate.
Two Liberal backbenchers – Craig Kelly and Tim Wilson – have signalled they will oppose any government subsidies to the electric car industry.
This is despite the International Energy Agency’s 2017 outlook for electric vehicles stating that financial incentives were “essential for reducing the purchase cost and total cost of ownership gap between electric and conventional cars”.
The report said such incentives would encourage sales, leading to a rise in production and technology development that would help lower the cost of electric car components.’ http://www.theland.com.au/story/5185912/joyce-rejects-banning-sale-of-petrol-cars/?src=rss
If electric vehicles are such a good thing why do the manufacturers need tax dollars to
