‘It’s time to end an injustice. For that reason, I want to share with you a mother’s heartfelt plea for her jailed son, Julian Assange. In return, I ask you to share this email and her message widely.
But first, Deputy Prime Minister Barnaby Joyce, yesterday declared that Julian Assange should not be extradited or tried in any foreign court, saying:
In a liberal democracy, care must be taken to avoid laws that stumble around how basic rights may come and go…
Julian Assange is a current case in point. As an individual, whether you like him or despise him, it is beyond him, given his circumstances, to protect his rights by himself…
It is a case of how our citizen is protected and judged. Imagine a sliding door moment, and it was not Assange but you who was in court in Britain…
You must also set aside the grave issues that surround the actions of Assange. They are a separate matter to the key issue: where was this individual when he was allegedly breaking US law for which the US is now seeking his extradition from London?
Assange did not steal any US secret files, US citizen Chelsea Manning did. Assange did publish them. In Australia, he received a Walkley Award in journalism for it. Assange was not in breach of any Australian laws at the time of his actions. Assange was not in the US when the event being deliberated in a court now in London occurred. The question is then: why is he to be extradited to the US? If he insulted the Koran, would he be extradited to Saudi Arabia?
This final point is worth considering. If an Australian writer did insult the Koran, Mohammed or Islam, would we seriously countenance their extradition to an Islamist regime to answer for the crime of blasphemy? If not, then why is Assange subject to the laws of a foreign country of which he is not a citizen?
Yesterday, I spoke with Julian Assange’s mother, Christine about the unfolding situation surrounding her son. Not only did a foreign court recently rule that her son — an Australian citizen — could be extradited to a foreign nation to face trumped-up charges, but news came out that he had suffered a mini-stroke during the extradition hearing. This follows revelations that the CIA tried to have her son killed. Sending him to the USA may yet end up resulting in his death. You might recall that I pointed out last year that the current resident of the White House Joe Biden referred to Assange as a “high tech terrorist”.

FIFTY years ago in giving birth for the first time as a young mother, I thought there could be no greater pain. But it was soon forgotten when I held my beautiful baby boy in my arms. I named him Julian.
I realise now that I was wrong. There is a greater pain.
The unending gut-wrenching pain of being the mother of a multi-award winning journalist who had the courage to publish the truth about high level government crimes and corruption.
The pain of watching my son who sought to publish important truths, being endlessly globally smeared.
The pain of watching my son who risked his life to expose injustice, being fitted up and denied a fair legal process, over and over again.
The pain of seeing my healthy child slowly wasting away from being denied proper health and medical care for years in detention.
The anguish of seeing my boy cruelly psychologically tortured to try and break his huge spirit.
The constant nightmare of him being extradited to the US and being buried alive in extreme solitary confinement for the rest of his life.
The constant fear the CIA will carry out its plans to assassinate him.
The rush of sadness as I saw his frail exhausted body slumping from a mini-stroke in the last hearing due to chronic stress.
Many people are also traumatised by seeing a vengeful superpower using its unlimited resources to bully and destroy a single defenceless individual.
I wish to thank all the caring decent citizens globally protesting Julian’s brutal political persecution .
Please keep raising your voices to your politicians till it’s all they can hear.

Barnaby Joyce is a Federal Politician from northern New South Wales, Australia and has been very vocal against the present fight to kill the unborn. Below is a recent email he sent out bringing us up to date on what has occurred in the New South Wales Parliament. 
‘I commend the parliamentarians who fought so hard to stop the arbitrary classification of a section of humanity to be without human rights. I want to thank those state politicians who fought for a person to be respected with the rights they have by reason of being alive.
Most importantly, I would like to thank you so much for putting your shoulder to the wheel and not sitting, saying and doing nothing.
Tragically, the overwhelming disgrace of this bill has passed through the NSW Parliament, though with the mollified amendment that abortions after 22 weeks can be carried out only if there is serious danger to a woman’s physical or mental health. This is the current law; the status quo for a person after 22 weeks – so it poses the question: what was wider purpose of the other changes and their motivations?
Prior to 22 weeks of life, pets covered by the RSPCA have more rights than a person. It would be safer place to be a dog in a yard than the protections this new legislation allows. (Emphasis added)
I am so bitterly disappointed that we are now saying it is OK to kill a person in the month they would otherwise be born and walk this beautiful world like you or me. I believe it is barbaric that a person can be mutilated without pain relief because delivering that child would acknowledge that they are a person.
This bill does what it was designed to do – sanitise the perverse logic that someone is subhuman.
They will now try and cover this disgrace with the distraction that this was merely about decriminalising abortion – which has in fact been legal for decades.
The reality of what they have just done is to take, by all intents and purposes, a large step to the removal of any prohibition on the killing of a person to full term. A person inside another person is not a person under this new legislation.
Now however, they will try and rid you from the public forum. You spoil their story and you inspire guilt with your advocacy of the truth of this matter.
They will try and say it never happened, they were never there, they couldn’t make it, it was not their business.
More than anything else, they will try and make you forget this day where a vote in favour of legislation by one group in a building on Macquarie Street allowed a person who could of been born to be killed.
But we will fight on.

As a conservative, it really gets me hot under the collar when a self-identifying conservative politician does stupid or shall we just call it sin! Now, Prime Minister Turnbull is a Labor politician in the Liberal camp. Turnbull was for same-sex marriage, he believes in climate change and he wants to make Australia a Republic. When Turnbull does and says stupid I can understand because he is stupid when it comes to these and some other issues.
However, recently a conservative National Party person did a stupid (sin) by committing adultery with one of his staff members. Not only that, he has now left his wife and children to move in with the adulteress who is expecting their baby this April. This person is the Deputy Prime Minister and leader of the National Party, Barnaby Joyce. In the past this
person has said:
“I’m a strong Catholic. I’m anti-abortion…and I’m going to be standing up for conservative family values.” The Age 15th Apr, 2005
“On 16th August, 2005, he gave his Maiden Speech in the Senate and began, “Thank you, Mr President. Firstly, I would like to acknowledge my parents who brought me into this world, my wife…and children…who support me in this world, and my God who oversees all and who hopefully I will meet in the next.” Hansard, Senate Maiden Speech
When a Labor politician lies and does stupid I can understand it because they are a Labor thinking left-leaning socialist and are stupid. However, note three words Joyce said in the first quote; “conservative family values”. He may have been then in word but certainly not in heart! As the Lord Jesus said “For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders” Mark 7:21.
Joyce in his maiden speech for the Senate said: “my God” who he “hopefully” would meet someday. Well, firstly, Joyce can be sure he will meet God one day but perhaps not the way he thinks; Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
Barnaby Joyce is a liar and whoremonger of whom God says will have their part in the lake of fire. Barnaby Joyce needs to do some serious thinking concerning God, Jesus Christ, sin, Heaven, Hell and eternity. John the Apostle wrote in John 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
Has Joyce done something many other politicians have not done? Probably not. Sadly, what many if not most of the Labor side are on about is not the adultery but the job transfer and salary that was given this staff member. What does that tell us about those politicians?
Barnaby Joyce needs to step down from being Deputy Prime Minister and allow someone who does truly hold to “conservative family values” have the job. One’s private life does affect their public life!
