“And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.” (Revelation 22:17)
‘One could not imagine a more clearcut invitation to receive God’s free gift of eternal life than this final climactic invitation of the Bible. Anyone who is thirsting for the water of life may come and drink freely, for Jesus said, “If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink” (John 7:37). Whosoever will may come! “There is no respect of persons with God” (Romans 2:11, plus about seven other references), and the Scriptures abound with “whosoever” assurances.
“Whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). “Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Romans 10:13). “Whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die” (John 11:26). “Whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins” (Acts 10:43). “Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God” (1 John 4:15).
“Jesus Christ the righteous:…is the propitiation…for the sins of the whole world” (1 John 2:1-2). Therefore, “by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life” (Romans 5:18).
Such promises as these (and many more in the Word of God) make it very clear that the substitutionary death of Christ is sufficient to “[take] away the sin of the world” (John 1:29), that salvation and eternal life are offered as a free gift of God’s grace to anyone who will accept it, and that anyone who will may come! It is only the voluntary act of our own wills that is required, but there are many of whom Jesus must say: “Ye will not come to me, that ye might have life” (John 5:40).’https://www.icr.org/article/12545/?utm_source=phplist9227&utm_medium=email&utm_content=HTML&utm_campaign=January+15+-+Whosoever+Will
Proverbs 14:34 Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.
Matthew Henry comments on this verse saying;
Justice, reigning in a nation, puts an honour upon it. A righteous administration of the government, impartial equity between man and man, public countenance given to religion, the general practice and profession of virtue, the protecting and preserving of virtuous men, charity and compassion to strangers (alms are sometimes called righteousness), these exalt a nation; they uphold the throne, elevate the people’s minds, and qualify a nation for the favour of God, which will make them high, as a holy nation, De 26:19.
Vice, reigning in a nation, puts disgrace upon it: Sin is a reproach to any city or kingdom, and renders them despicable among their neighbours. The people of Israel were often instances of both parts of this observation; they were great when they were good, but when they forsook God all about them insulted them and trampled on them. It is therefore the interest and duty of princes to use their power for the suppression of vice and support of virtue.
‘These are momentous days when we find ourselves in the midst of a worldwide ‘discipline’ or warning from God, calling us to acknowledge and seek Him. And although we shrink from the thought, this is the reason for all unexpected catastrophes, whether epidemics, floods or vast fires. The Bible says these things will come more often in the ‘last days’, when atheism abounds and people generally have no thought or prayer to their Creator.
A warning from God is not like the last judgement, because it is an expression of God’s love, urging people to turn to Him, whereas the last judgement will finally close the door of mercy for those who turn away from Him. A warning is not permanent, and God has also given mankind the skill to control it, eventually. But a warning catastrophe pulls us up and humbles us, reminding us that we are only people, and that we are in God’s hands and accountable to Him.
Coronavirus has certainly shaken us more than any other catastrophe of recent generations. The relatively gentle approach of our UK scientific elite soon gave way to radical measures as the virus defied all predictions. Mighty China shook with alarm; the grim regime of Iran was stunned; Europe was soon sent scurrying to lock-down, and the all-powerful USA was brought to cower like everyone else.
As the pandemic proceeds, significant features become apparent. It is the elderly (like the writer of this) who are most at risk – those who have had a lifetime of opportunity to honour their Creator (and may have refused). The virus seems to say to the younger people – ‘you have some opportunity left: don’t despise the longsuffering of the Lord.’ Remember that while God is love, He is also holy and just.
This may not be the last warning or discipline, although its full ‘indignation’ has not yet unfolded. Christians are praying for relief and healing for those suffering, and we are witnessing many acts of kindness among people, but it is vital that we heed the message and meaning of this pandemic. Its purpose is to call us to forgiveness and reconciliation with God, by coming to the Saviour, Jesus Christ our Lord, who has opened a way of salvation by suffering and dying for sinful people on Calvary’s cross. To trust in Him, repent of sin, and yield your life to Him, is to receive from Him a new and eternal life.’https://www.metropolitantabernacle.org/Articles/God-s-Love-in-a-Pandemic
While Islamists murder thousand around the world this American Muslim just sees what he wants to see.
‘France’s Further Attacks on Islam: For many years, France has been actively repressing Muslim life, but this year, it has taken things to the nth degree. This was triggered when a French teacher who displayed blasphemous cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was killed. In response, France took many actions against Muslims life including the closing of mosques and the largest anti-Islamophobia organization. Before, the killing, Emmanuel Macron made a speech degrading Islam as a religion “in crisis” and saying there would be more French state intervention in Muslim institutions. The attack provided the pretext, and since then, Muslims have been suffering backlash from the French state. Furthermore, France expects Muslims to accept attacks against them while it has laws against Holocaust denial which are justified under the pretext of fighting anti-semitism. On a positive note, this cause has united the Muslim world around the #boycottFrance movement in retaliation for the disrespect for their religion and hypocrisy.’http://muslimobserver.com/2020-year-review-muslims/
A Muslim is like all mankind and that is they must accept the Lord Jesus as the Son of God and Saviour of sinners. John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
The following is from an Australian Muslim web site but the article was written by an American Muslim that undoubtedly disagrees with or even hates President Trump and loves Leftist Joe Biden. There’s no surprise in this but within the article you will see the Muslim hate for Christians, Jews and Hindus. Islam is another tool of that old Serpent found first in Genesis 3:1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
Here’s the Muslim’s view of President Trump and his legacy.
‘The chaotic US Presidency of Trump will be ending soon, but the damage he has caused inside the country and abroad will linger on resulting in a divided America and polarised world. On the day of the failed ‘coup’ on Wednesday 6 January 2021, white supremacist supporters of Trump, Christian evangelists, Hindutva fascists, and Zionist extremists, hoisting their respective flags walked in the chambers of democracy with the possible intent to murder Democratic members of Congress and a few Republicans. The threat of violence from armed Trump supporters in Washington DC and all 50 US states leading up to the inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden on Wednesday 20 January has lead to the mobilisation of US troops on advice from FBI.
Now that the US Congress has voted to charge Trump with “inciting violence against the government of the United States” for his role in encouraging the rioters who stormed the US Capitol last week, a trial will be held in the Senate where a two-thirds majority will be required to convict Trump, needing the support of 17 Republicans voting with all the Democrats.
From left Netanyahu, Trump, Modi: Buddies across borders.
The Police have so far learned of at least three more potentially gruesome demonstrations planned in the coming days, with one plot to encircle the US Capitol and assassinate people considered Trump’s enemies.
Such plots are impossible without the help of Trump-supporting congressional staff.
The noted documentary maker, Michel Moor, gave a detailed account of the Capitol terror attack in a brief write-up. Here are his seven conclusions.
1. This attack on the Capitol was an Inside Job. Some Republican members of Congress and their staff assisted the mob in getting into and through the Capitol building.
2. Various law enforcement elements also assisted in the attack, as rogue cops and current and ex-military were from around the country. Current members of the NYPD and the Seattle police force are in footage as part of the mob. Officials also identified active-duty troops participating in the attack – plus a police chief and a sheriff – as members of the group. The guy inside the House chamber carrying the large number of police-grade handcuff zip-ties is a retired Lt. Colonel.
3. Trump was the ringleader and the inciter – and when some officials made cries of help to him to send in the National Guard to protect the Capitol and the elected representatives, he refused.
4. The attack was a dry run for more violent attacks the terrorists are planning to launch before the Inauguration.
5. Many Republican Congress members tell their staff to stay home on Wednesday “for their safety.” Everyone knew there would be trouble. Yet, stunningly, 1,900 Capitol Police were told to stay home on Wednesday. Only 400 reported to work.
6. So far, the officials did not charge the arrested terrorists as domestic terrorists. “Trespassing” is the most common charge.
7. White supremacists were everywhere in the mob. Some wore T-shirts proclaiming, “6 Million Was Not Enough.” The U.S. military and police departments across the country have many white supremacists and hard-core racists.
Moore is not the only one who discovered the plot. Anyone watching the terrorists invading the Capitol figured that out. They knew the entry points; they knew the stairwell of Congress. They knew the chambers of congress members as if someone had briefed them about it. They had a plan and were willingly carrying it out.
The President, his family, and trusted friends were watching it on television to await the news of the murder of a few Democrats and Republicans to declare a state of emergency and impose martial law to save the Republic.
In the crowd were people who had sided with Trump during the last four years. One such group comprised of Hindutva fascists, the Indian PM Modi supporters, who had endorsed Trump in the Howdy Modi rally in his official capacity. He proudly told his Hindu fans in Houston in 2019, “Abki Bar, Trump Sarkar” (Elect Trump this time).
In several Hindu temples, special religious ceremonies (havan) took place before the November 3 election seeking Trump’s deities. Angry at the loss of Trump, the Hindu fascists, carrying India’s national flag were present among the terrorists, cheering and inciting the crowd. For them, Trump was a reincarnation of Vishnu. It did not bother them that they were not yet the citizens of the country.
Christian evangelists believe that Trump is the Jesus with a mission to turn the US into a white nation in large numbers with religious symbols holding the Bible and praising the Lord. They received grants from their churches or wealthy donors to travel to DC to bring about revolution.
Many of these religious fanatics were from law enforcement agencies or veterans with combat training. When Guiliani incited the crowd and assured them of a trial by combat, he was appealing to ex-servicemen and women to be part of the terrorist mob. Those who climbed the walls of buildings, broke the windows had come intending to kill. Some got killed.
Zionist extremists hoisting Israeli flags were also part of the crowd with their plan. After all, a Zionist extremist was the son-in-law of the President involved in ensuring the interests of the apartheid state in the Trump administration while coercing some Arab regimes into normalising relations with Israel.
Zionist extremists such as the gambling Tzar, Sheldon, believe that the Democratic Administration could plot for the removal of Netanyahu while giving some concessions to the Palestinians. They view Christian evangelists as an ally for creating a greater Israel.
The dangers are looking large on the Republic. The Inauguration of Biden would not suppress the terror by the groups mentioned above. Americans need to be aware of these groups and their intentions. A victory in an election does not mean a triumph over terror.’https://www.amust.com.au/2021/01/trumps-legacy-insurrection-impeachment-and-threats/
Proverbs 30:28 “The spider skillfully grasps with its hands, and it is in kings’ palaces.
‘The instruments that scientists are using to develop fusion energy continue to become more complex and powerful. They are trying to generate the energies needed to cause hydrogen to fuse into helium. This is the same process thought to be going on in the sun. Once the fusion process is started, it will continue on its own as long as hydrogen is available, quickly generating much more energy than was used to start the process. Hydrogen fuel is easily and cheaply generated from seawater.
Scientists have been using lasers to generate the power needed to start the fusion process. In current experimental devices, the hydrogen fuel is held in a hollow glass sphere that is about as big around as a human hair. The sphere must be suspended in mid-air. To reach the 90 million degrees needed to start fusion, 24 lasers with 12-trillion-watt beams are aimed at the sphere.
What do you suppose scientists use to suspend the sphere? They thought of using strands of glass, but then they remembered something even stronger, yet thinner: spider silk. Spider silk has the added benefit of being sticky, so it easily holds the sphere in place.
My last article concerned Wheaton College and its condemnation of the January 6, 2021 violence in Washington DC. In that condemnation they blamed “wicked leadership—especially by President Trump,”. That statement speaks volumes!
Recently I came across an ad for a new book by five Wheaton Professors on the theories of origins. This book was made possible by a grant from BioLogos which holds ‘…that God created the universe, the earth, and all life over billions of years‘. https://biologos.org/about-us/what-we-believe/
The authors of this book are said to team teach at Wheaton the ‘…Theories of Origins, a general education science course first offered at the Christian college in 1995. Big Bang cosmology, origin of the solar system, Earth history, origin of life, origins of species and evolution, and human origins are introduced by faculty representing physics and philosophy of science, geology, chemistry, and biology. A Bible scholar provides background on principles and methods of biblical interpretation and accounts of creation and the Flood in Genesis.
Faculty enthusiasm and student interest in the course has remained strong despite the changing lineup of faculty with over 1,150 course alumni in its 23-year history. After all, the syllabus “evolves” with every new discovery: The course was introduced at the initiation of human genome sequencing and before the discovery of some 3,500 exoplanets and eleven additional hominin species!’https://biologos.org/articles/5-wheaton-college-professors-release-new-book-on-theories-of-origins
It is apparent from the statements above that Wheaton takes the hypothesis of evolution over the plain literal teaching of the WORD OF GOD! Now, it clear that neither the evolutionist or the Bible creationist was there when everything came into being. However, the creationist has the Bible as well as the evidence of fossils etc. that the evolutionist has as well. Therefore, it is how one looks and reads the evidence for both Biblical creation and Darwinian evolution can be correct.
Wheaton teaches a ‘science falsely so called’ and is not building the students up in the faith of the Word of God when it teaches a theory from Satan’s workbook. As Dr. Floyd Nolen Jones writes on page 22 of CHRONOLOGY OF THE OT that once the student is hooked by the teaching of evolution ‘…gone for the most part is trust in an instantaneous special creation by God, a literal Adam and Eve, the Fall of man, and his subsequent need for a Redeemer. The first eleven chapters of Genesis, the seed bed for all the doctrines that follow in the remainder of Scripture, become little more than a fable or parable. The rudimentary truth of fallen man’s proclivity toward evil and of eventual judgment against impenitence, as demonstrated by the world-wide Flood, is lost in the battle for the hearts and souls of those for whom the ultimate sacrifice has been made.’
Scientists who believe in a literal reading of Genesis are not simpletons. For example Isaac Newton ‘…wrote powerful refutations on atheism while defending the literal six day Bible Creation account. Moreover, he believed that the worldwide Flood of Noah’s day accounted for most of the geologic phenomena observed in his day. Newton’s authored two volumes addressing Biblical chronology, The Observations Upon the Prophecies of Daniel, and the great work, The Chronology of Ancient Kingdoms Amended, published posthumously in 1728. In the latter, Newton decimated and overthrew the current dates of Greek, Latin and Egyptian chronology demonstrating the impossibility of using any of their chronologies as a stable foundation which could be used as a standard.’ Page 36 CHRONOLOGY OF THE OT
You get the point. Evolution and Biblical creation are not compatible and it does make a difference what one believes. If interested you can find a list of creation organizations at http://www.nwcreation.net/groupcreation.html.
Most conservatives and especially conservative Bible believing Christians would not condone the violence that has been happening around the USA by Antifa and BLM in 2020 or that which occurred in Washington DC January 6th. The simple fact is that the violence and destruction during 2020 was undoubtedly perpetrated by BLM and Antifa but exactly who was involved in the January 6th violence is still not yet truly determined. However, that last fact doesn’t bother those at Wheaton College.
‘More than 255 former and current Wheaton College faculty and staff have signed a statement condemning last week’s attack on the Capitol and specifically decrying “blasphemous abuses of Christian symbols.” The statement also denounces what it calls “wicked leadership—especially by President Trump,” but also by some evangelical leaders.
‘“The behaviors that many participants celebrated in Jesus’ name bear absolutely no resemblance to the Christian teachings or ethics that we submit to as faculty and staff of Wheaton College,” the statement said.
The statement also chastised evangelical leaders who “could have spoken truth to the disillusioned supporters of President Trump,” but instead “wittingly propagated lies, or were unduly silent in a just cause.”
After the election, evangelical leaders like Eric Metaxas, Franklin Graham, and a host of others supported the idea that voter fraud was to blame for Trump’s loss. This aligns with Trump’s narrative, who on the evening of the riot, tweeted: “These are the things and events that happen when a sacred landslide election victory is so unceremoniously & viciously stripped away from great patriots who have been badly & unfairly treated for so long.”
Though many evangelicals have condemned the riots, the Wheaton faculty statement is one of the first, if not the first, official statement to confront evangelical leaders.
The statement also alleged that “systemic racism” was to blame for “differential treatment” given those who trespassed on the Capitol as opposed to those who protested police brutality over the summer.
“These realities are reprehensible,” it stated. “Our Christian faith demands shining a light on these evils and the simultaneous commitment to take appropriate action.”
The faculty statement released Monday differs somewhat from an official statement by Wheaton College the same day.
Please take the time to read this entire article by Pastor Brandenburg. Parler is gone so be sure articles like this will not be allowed once the Marxist/Leftist folk get complete control!
‘The founders declared, “No taxation without representation,” as a clarion theme leading to revolution. No representation meant no vote and no voice, which lead to violent circumstances. Two systems of justice existed, one on English soil and another in the American colonies, so mobs terrified the stamp tax agents, leading to its repeal, then triggered the Boston Massacre and the Tea Party. English elites called these criminal sedition and insurrection. American leaders voiced calm, yet in the end joined in a war for independence. Are there modern echoes in the present United States? Patrick Henry on March 23, 1775 proclaimed, “Give me liberty or give me death!” I think everyone could agree that the death part of his famous statement meant the anticipation of some type of violence.A little later, the Texans at the Alamo believed that death was preferable to living under tyrannical government, albeit Mexican. “Remember the Alamo” then fueled a Texan war for independence. President Trump is called a populous president. His support is populous. He was and is a man for the time. Could it have been someone else with a more pristine character resume? It doesn’t seem so. I’m open to an alternative, but I haven’t seen that person in my lifetime. The never-Trumpers of the Lincoln project, who despise Trump supporters and would relish violence against them, say that his voters were so stupid that they thought he’d be a good leader because they watched him on The Apprentice television show. I’ve never seen more useful idiots than the Lincoln ones. Many factors led to Trump, but the quintessential motivation was an oppressive political correctness that incessantly violates rights of Americans. This is even seen in the reaction to the events of January 6 in the capitol. Political speech is not sedition and insurrection. Using the term, “fight,” as a euphemism is not a call to violence, just like saying “political target” doesn’t mean you’re going to shoot someone. Political correctness is a kind of correctness in China, where the government says, this is correct, you disagree, saying, it’s not, and then you disappear for the rest of your life. Political correctness is a pressure to take a position at a cost for not taking it. If you know what’s good for your health, your professional career, and your mere future, this is the view you’ll need to take. Carolyn Glick writes in Israel Hayom that Democrats wish a new era of total political correctness. President Trump says what many people are thinking in the United States. When I say many, I mean about fifty million or more. He has not “incited violence.” When Trump supporters came to Washington, DC on January 6, 2021, no elected official encouraged them to come to force their way into the capitol building and physically stop the electoral counting procedure in Congress, a violation of the law (read this account and this take). In President Trump’s speech, he didn’t suggest that. The people saying that know they are lying. They are liars. Democrats riot, protest, terrorize, picket, intimidate, and break the law without ceasing. They not only get no condemnation but instead receive actual support from a vast majority of the media, celebrities, and educators. They use government power to prosecute their political enemies and to crush their businesses and take away their property. Even if they do not win in court, they waste the time and ruin the personal finances of their victims. They tear apart our society. They are never censored. As an example, they use their power to allow men to use the girl’s bathrooms. Opposition is litigated. They are given the widest possible bandwidth to spew the greatest possible amount of vile and deceitful discourse. Those of the capitol mob were finished with conventional Republican or conservative way of change. They decided to imitate their political opposition and give them a taste of their own medicine. It was so odd and out of character that theories arose among conservatives that it must be someone else, that Antifa or BLM infiltrated the group, posing as them for purposes of discrediting. Can you imagine someone asking, “Can you believe the Democrat party instigated violence and supported burning, pillaging, and looting of public property through their various collaborators, Antifa and BLM?” Laughter ensues. A serial murdering abortion doctor slaughters babies born alive and Democrat lawyers line up to defend him.
President Trump gave a political speech on January 6 (read the transcript here), protected by the first amendment without any mention of violence. None. It’s true he doesn’t attempt to calm down his listeners, tranquilize them. He wants to fire them up, to inspire them. That’s what political speakers do, except for Joe Biden and a few others, but not because they don’t wish they could energize someone. No Republican has encouraged violence in any way. Everyone knows that. The people hearing Trump know that. The crowd that rushed the capitol was enough of a surprise that the capitol police wasn’t ready for it. It is clear that a smaller faction of the gigantic crowd came to Washington DC prepared to do more than attend a rally. As a template, they had Seattle, Portland, Kenosha, earlier in Washington DC, and urban areas all over the country as an immense sample size compared to their own efforts. Those leftist mobsters took over several city blocks in Seattle and occupied them, fully armed, for weeks and those like them all over the country have incessantly toppled statues and threatened ordinary American citizens during meals and peaceful walks in public places. What occurred at the capitol is called by the media and Democrats, an insurrection. It was an insurrection like the LA police following OJ Simpson was a “car chase.” No one shot anyone except the police an unarmed Trump supporter, military veteran, and you know the story, she was threatening no one. I wouldn’t join them, but I get the anger inspiring the capitol hill chaos. I understand frustration of the participants. I’m quite sure that my belief in the future kingdom of Jesus Christ anesthetizes a desire for physical retribution. A true believer opts for a peaceful solution now, starting with the gospel. The party of senseless violence though is the left. They kill millions and urge to kill millions more babies. They are silent while thousands are murdered in America’s cities. They oppose all freedom of speech except for their own demented and reprobate positions. One can judge true thoughts and standards by the consistency of the condemnation. Unless all violence is condemned, the standard of violence still stands. The left embraces violence. It wants to disarm its opposition. It uses the accusation of not-a-coup to cover its own actual coup. The so-called antifascists are the actual fascists. Who is attempting to take away rights and freedoms? The left, represented by the Democrat party, finances and supports its own violence. It condemns all violence against it. It punches you in the face, puts its glasses on, and says, “You wouldn’t hit a man wearing glasses, would you?” The mob on capitol hill saw their votes as cancelled. I agree with them. The invention of Democrat ballot harvesting tipped the swing states. They see election laws violated without recourse and even the Supreme Court cowed from dutiful examination. There is no Republican voice allowed in the public school and state college system, the mainstream media, and the tech titans censor it on their government protected platforms. The loss of vote and voice equal violent circumstances. The people taking away freedom through their various means of state and corporate power fueled the capitol mob on January 6, not the president.’https://kentbrandenburg.blogspot.com/2021/01/the-capitol-hill-chaos-votes-canceled.html
Genesis 1:1In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
‘For thousands of years, theories that reject the Word of God have followed cultural fashion. It was inevitable, then, that some “biblical scholar” would invent a theory that a woman wrote some important part of Scripture that has been traditionally assigned to a man.
Historical critic Harold Bloom, who teaches at Yale, has proposed that the mythological “J” source of Genesis was a woman. He says she made up the stories of the creation, Noah and Abraham, and invented an impulsive, violent and “impish” divinity. Bloom’s evidence? The account of Eve’s creation is six times longer than the account of Adam’s creation.
Some Christians have been shaken up needlessly by this so-called “scholarship.” Historical criticism rejects the Bible as the Word of God. It says the Bible is man-made and a result of the natural evolution of religion. There is no room in historical criticism for divine revelation. As a result, historical critics cannot arrive at theories that support the Bible as God’s revelation except by accident. Second, the claimed sources of the Old Testament, such as the “J” source, have never been found and are purely imaginary.
