‘The face mask requirement at school is bad for children’s general well-being and should be abolished, 70 doctors wrote in an open letter to Flemish Education Minister Ben Weyts. The doctors want Weyts to immediately reverse his approach: no face mask requirement at school, only protect the at-risk group and only advise people with a possible risk profile to consult their doctor. “In recent months, the general well-being of children and young people has come under severe pressure,” the letter’s authors said. “We see in our practices an increasing number of children and young people with complaints due to the rules of conduct that have been imposed on them.” The doctors mentioned anxiety and sleep problems as well as behavioural disorders and germaphobia, which is a pathological fear of germs. They are also seeing an increase in domestic violence, isolation and deprivation.“ Mandatory face masks in schools are a major threat to their development. It ignores the essential needs of the growing child. The well-being of children and young people is highly dependent on emotional attachment to others,” they wrote. According to them, “the face mask requirement makes school a threatening and unsafe environment, where emotional closeness becomes difficult.”’https://www.facebook.com/CraigKellyMP &

‘You know the wind and solar industries are in trouble when they’re reduced to muttering about humongous batteries saving their bacon.
Around the world, renewable energy rent-seekers have been furiously peddling the myth that mega-batteries are a free and easy solution to the hopeless intermittency of weather-dependent wind and solar.
The line goes that giant banks of lithium ion cells can store ‘free and abundant’ wind and solar power, whenever the sun is up and the wind is blowing (just right). Then, at absolutely zero cost to power consumers, these monster grid-scale batteries can lovingly release groovy ‘green’ power at any time that businesses and households need it.
Back in 2017, South Australia, Australia’s wind power capital, squandered $150 million on one of Elon Musk’s creations, that would power the state for all of 4 minutes when the wind stops blowing and/or the sun goes down.
Giant lithium ion batteries are touted as the antidote to the inherent chaos that comes with attempting to rely on sunshine and breezes; bringing stability and security to a grid on the brink of collapse.
However, as Rafe Champion details below, claims by wind and solar worshippers that ‘big batteries will save us’ is just another humongous lie perpetuated by those with serious skin in the game.’https://stopthesethings.com/2021/01/15/no-renewables-recharge-busting-the-big-batteries-will-save-wind-solar-myth/
‘These are momentous days when we find ourselves in the midst of a worldwide ‘discipline’ or warning from God, calling us to acknowledge and seek Him. And although we shrink from the thought, this is the reason for all unexpected catastrophes, whether epidemics, floods or vast fires. The Bible says these things will come more often in the ‘last days’, when atheism abounds and people generally have no thought or prayer to their Creator.
A warning from God is not like the last judgement, because it is an expression of God’s love, urging people to turn to Him, whereas the last judgement will finally close the door of mercy for those who turn away from Him. A warning is not permanent, and God has also given mankind the skill to control it, eventually. But a warning catastrophe pulls us up and humbles us, reminding us that we are only people, and that we are in God’s hands and accountable to Him.
Coronavirus has certainly shaken us more than any other catastrophe of recent generations. The relatively gentle approach of our UK scientific elite soon gave way to radical measures as the virus defied all predictions. Mighty China shook with alarm; the grim regime of Iran was stunned; Europe was soon sent scurrying to lock-down, and the all-powerful USA was brought to cower like everyone else.
As the pandemic proceeds, significant features become apparent. It is the elderly (like the writer of this) who are most at risk – those who have had a lifetime of opportunity to honour their Creator (and may have refused). The virus seems to say to the younger people – ‘you have some opportunity left: don’t despise the longsuffering of the Lord.’ Remember that while God is love, He is also holy and just.
This may not be the last warning or discipline, although its full ‘indignation’ has not yet unfolded. Christians are praying for relief and healing for those suffering, and we are witnessing many acts of kindness among people, but it is vital that we heed the message and meaning of this pandemic. Its purpose is to call us to forgiveness and reconciliation with God, by coming to the Saviour, Jesus Christ our Lord, who has opened a way of salvation by suffering and dying for sinful people on Calvary’s cross. To trust in Him, repent of sin, and yield your life to Him, is to receive from Him a new and eternal life.’https://www.metropolitantabernacle.org/Articles/God-s-Love-in-a-Pandemic
If Biden is inaugurated on the 20th of January, 2021 we can say good bye forever to a free Hong Kong. China’s CCP cannot allow a truly free people to exist under their style of government.
‘Today 11 individuals were arrested in Hong Kong under the National Security Law for allegedly helping the 12 Hong Kong youths currently detained in Shenzhen flee Hong Kong.
The group of individuals arrests for “assisting criminals”, include 8 males and 3 females between the ages of 18-72. Among them is the lawyer and current District Councilor Wong Kwok-hung, independent musician Fok Long-chai, and a Ukrainian national.
A source within the National Security Department said that the 11 individuals were accused of sponsoring the fugitives’ attempt to abscond, with the level of funds offered by each of them ranging from a few thousand Hong Kong dollars to tens of thousands. They also are accused of providing “assistance such as introducing middle men to the fugitives, arranging shoreline pickups and providing hiding locations.”
Commenting on the arrests, Hong Kong Watch’s Chief Executive, Benedict Rogers said:
“Today has brought more arrests under the National Security Law and a further crackdown in Hong Kong. Increasingly it is clear that Beijing intends to use this draconian law as a blunt tool to crush dissent, where the hiring of a boat, the providing of accommodation, and the offering of free legal advice is now punishable to a minimum of ten years in prison.
This latest crackdown makes a mockery of previous claims that the draconian National Security Law would be used sparingly and be applied only to cases with a direct and imminent threat to security. The case of the 12 Hong Kong youths who languish in a jail in Shenzhen has never had anything to do with national security.
There is also reason to believe that the evidence against the 11 individuals arrested today has been extracted from the 12 Hong Kong youths detained in Shenzhen through mistreatment and even torture.
We urge the international community to condemn these arrests and urgently move to adopt punitive measures, including Magnitsky sanctions, in the face of what has become regular crackdowns and assaults on Hong Kong’s freedom, democracy, and way of life.”’https://www.hongkongwatch.org/all-posts/2021/1/14/this-latest-crackdown-makes-a-mockery-of-previous-claims-that-the-national-security-law-would-be-used-sparingly-and-be-applied-only-to-cases-with-a-direct-and-imminent-threat-to-security

The Conversation is the Left of the Left so it isn’t surprising to read their latest on President Trump and the power hungry Democrats.
‘By becoming the first president to be impeached twice, Donald Trump’s controversial and divisive term as president is reaching a surreal ending. Although he will likely remain in office and finish his term on Jan. 20, the impeachment is the opening salvo of investigations and allegations of wrongdoing that will define his legacy.
After Joe Biden assumes the presidency, Trump may face criminal and civil charges at both the federal and state levels for actions before and during his tenure as president. He’s reportedly so nervous about ongoing investigations that his discussions with advisers about pardoning himself and his children have intensified since he incited the raid on the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6. Some of them have warned against it.
Criminal cases are the most serious, involving offences against the state and prosecuted by government agencies. In contrast, civil cases are disputes between two parties that typically result in monetary payments.‘ If you can stomach the rest of the article it may be found at this link https://theconversation.com/a-second-impeachment-is-just-the-start-of-trumps-legal-woes-153036?utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Latest%20from%20The%20Conversation%20for%20January%2015%202021%20-%201834317847&utm_content=Latest%20from%20The%20Conversation%20for%20January%2015%202021%20-%201834317847+CID_8800d63f42f6f4d0172bd295db1d2e6f&utm_source=campaign_monitor&utm_term=Thomas%20Klassen%20looks%20at
If Big Tech can do this to the President of the USA and social media platform Parler what can they do to little ole you and me?
‘The move by large technology firms to de-platform “free speech” social media site Parler has a chilling effect, said White House Office of Trade and Manufacturing Director Peter Navarro.
“What we have here is a classic collusive oligopoly, a kind of new wine in an old bottle,” Navarro told Fox Business. “What we saw with this attack on Parler was chilling to me. It’s one thing to de-platform everybody for free speech. But, this was a pincer move where Google and Apple, [the] first part of the pincer, was to not allow Parler apps to be down.”
Over the past week, Google and Apple removed Parler from their respective app-downloading programs, while on Monday morning, Amazon Web Services (AWS) suspended services for the website. Parler then filed a lawsuit against AWS, arguing the Seattle-based tech giant violated its contractual agreement, later adding that a representative sent text messages to Parler CEO John Matze that appeared to suggest AWS only cared about whether President Donald Trump would sign up—rather than violent content.
Parler also asserted that AWS violated the Sherman Antitrust Act in its court filing in Washington state.
Navarro added that Amazon initiated a “brutal kill by taking the cloud away as a small company” because it was no longer able to access its data. “Effectively, Amazon wiped out that company,” he said.’https://www.theepochtimes.com/white-house-trade-advisor-amazon-suspension-of-parler-is-chilling_3656940.html?utm_source=newsnoe&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=breaking-2021-01-14-3

George Christensen is an Australian Federal Politician from Queensland. He along with Craig Kelly are unique among those in Federal Parliament.
‘The greatest challenge approaching Australia and the West is that of dealing with Communist China’s growing ambition to become the dominant geopolitical force in the world. We could probably live with China being significantly economically superior (as we do with the USA) and we could even live with them brutalising their own citizens (as they do with Christians, Tibetan Buddhists, Falun Gong practitioners, Uighur Muslims and Hong Kong pro-democracy activists), albeit with ongoing expressions of concern. What we can’t live with is an authoritarian regime seeking to control us and our neighbours through economic and political means. If you don’t understand what I mean by that, then you need to read Professor Clive Hamilton’s book Silent Invasion: China’s Influence in Australia. Prof Hamilton has provided a submission to the parliamentary inquiry I’m chairing that is looking into Australia’s trade and investment relations with China, in which he says:
The PRC is the world’s leading practitioner of “economic statecraft” — the use of economic power to coerce other nations to adopt political positions agreeable to Beijing. Beijing’s strategy of “killing the chickens to scare the monkeys” describes highly publicised attacks on individual countries or businesses to deter others. Onlookers are liable to say to themselves: “Thank goodness it’s not us. What must we do to make sure we aren’t next?”
That’s an apt description of how China is misusing its power and it’s a key part of the reason why recent changes and statements have been made by the Morrison Liberal National Government, which you will read about in this newsletter. If you want to have your say on these matters (and in my inquiry) you can still go to www.ChinaInquiry.com.au and fill in a survey form as well as write to my parliamentary committee that is conducting the inquiry.
The war on Western civilisation
Something has to be said about the black-armband brigade who took to our streets in the past few weeks, protesting about an event that occurred in the USA. As tragic as that event was, we don’t have the same poor race relations that appear to dog America, despite the claims of far left protesters who were on the streets in most capital cities of this country, gathering in masses despite public health warnings to the contrary. I lambasted them in federal parliament earlier this month on that front. Public health warnings aside, the people marching in the streets seem to have a vitriolic hatred for the very society, culture and heritage that has allowed them the freedom to march and the freedom to speak out against authority. The calls to take down statues of founding fathers and significant figures in our nation’s history (and the history of the West) and then to scrub out ‘offending’ cultural gems such as Gone with the Wind and an episode of Fawlty Towers led me to believe that these protesters are nothing more than a cultural Marxist version of the Taliban. Indeed, Christian commentator Bill Muehlenberg states: “This is a war on history and on Western civilisation. And what we have is a New Taliban that is fully behind it all.” You can read his full commentary here.’https://www.georgechristensen.com.au/campaigns/view-campaign/EPR0N-ADwX6RSzL8jEFj1inTsaXALEl5ypCYGixQOnLZG_V-TZDacl9BrBnq1IEFohh9wacTLLPR1lFQjr_2auXw95hpZ-3C
Why does the Left hate President Trump so much? Is the Left afraid of losing control because the light of truth has been allowed to shine just a smidgen on their wickedness and desire to control every human being? Here’s Don Jr. speaking on censorship.
