‘INTRODUCTION TO PSALM CHAPTER 101
David was certainly the penman of this psalm, and it has in it the genuine spirit of the man after God’s own heart; it is a solemn vow which he made to God when he took upon him the charge of a family and of the kingdom. As a born again blood bought Christian I know my God is in control and I can go to Scripture and find comfort. Here is one Scripture that tells me God does care what occurs in this time in which you and I live and move.
Psalm 2:1 ‘Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? 2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,
3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. 4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision. 5 Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure. 6 Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.’
Pride cometh before a fall but this is the right kind of pride (I believe). Our granddaughter works in a hospital as a speech pathologist.
