With all the bad news on Covid-19 and what it has done to lives and livelihoods here is a wonderful story. The writer says ‘I worry that we live in a culture today where growing numbers of people look outside themselves for success. And when they fail, it’s always someone else’s fault. But the government, your parents, your education, and your job aren’t the key to your success – you are. Whenever I feel my dreams losing steam, I always think of Booker T. Washington. Born a slave in 1858, his childhood years were
anything but pleasant. The family’s farm cabin had no glass windows, and any opening to let in light also let in the freezing wind in the winter. The floor of the cabin was dirt.
The life of slave was back-breaking work that started before the sun came up and continued long after it went down again. His childhood was also lived out during the Civil War, which created turmoil, fear, and uncertainty in the lives of Southern slaves and added additional pressure to an already hopeless state of affairs.
But in spite of that desperate situation, young Booker dreamed of an education. His goal was learning—real learning. Not just the ability to read a newspaper or dime-store novel, but a desire to learn science, mathematics, history, and more. Years later, working deep in a coal mine, he overheard some of the miners talking about a school five hundred miles away called the Hampton Institute. He immediately decided that one day he would attend the school, in spite of the distance.
His dream simply would not die. As a result, he not only attended the school, but was later asked to lead a new program in Alabama called the Tuskegee Institute. He eventually built Tuskegee into a major college campus with more than fifteen hundred students and a faculty of two hundred professors.
There was not one single thing in Booker T. Washington’s life that helped him except the power of a dream. Starting out he had no money, no education, no training, no influence, and no future. He was just another slave among thousands, with no potential other than living out his life working in obscurity on a forgotten Southern farm.
But the power of his dream opened doors, filled him with motivation, and revealed his true promise. Millions of Americans have been directly touched or indirectly inspired by his story, and this nation is a better place because he never gave up on his dream.
If you feel that your situation is hopeless, just remember Booker T. Washington and start dreaming again.
Your future is up to you. Get on with it.’ https://mychristiandaily.com/stop-blaming-everyone-else-your-future-is-in-your-hands/
The Coronavirus Bill (which is being passed into law this week at breakneck speed) will, among other things, (1) authorise a forcible detention of people on mental health grounds (‘sectioning’) on the opinion of any one doctor (rather than two, as previously required) and (2) abolish the six-month time limit on ‘sectioning’. Any one doctor will have the power to lock you up in a lunatic asylum indefinitely – all in the interests of your own and others’ safety.
It is well-known, and self-evident, that forcible psychiatric detention is an area which is open to abuse in the absence of effective safeguards. In the Soviet Union, it was used simply as a tool to suppress political dissent. This may be an extreme example, but where is the guarantee that one rogue doctor or another will not, once in a while, abuse his newly found unlimited power? For very good reasons, we have had safeguards against that in our law. Now they are being urgently abolished – supposedly as an obstacle to our survival of the epidemic. How exactly are they such an obstacle?
It should be stressed that this has nothing to do with increasing doctors’ capacity to deal with coronavirus patients. A psychiatrist is not much help in treating a respiratory disease. In fact, he would be as useful as a gynaecologist. Just like gynaecologists can safely continue to supervise (and hopefully, sometimes refuse to authorise) abortions, there is no reason why psychiatrists cannot carry on doing their usual job – which includes, most importantly, protecting people from arbitrary detention on unsound psychiatric grounds. Those duties are expendable luxuries, but are vital safeguards of liberty.
Another frightening power-grab in the Coronavirus Bill is the expansion of the power to appoint temporary judicial commissioners, with the powers to issue warrants for surveillance, under the Investigatory Powers Act 2016. The threat to civil liberty is obvious; and this has nothing to do with coronavirus.
Given those examples, one inevitably looks more sceptically at the idea that the government knows best about its other measures which ostensibly have something to do with coronavirus. Things like prolonging local councillors’ term in office for a whole year without a democratic mandate; police power to detain anyone for up to 48 hours on suspicion of a threat to public health; Ministers’ authority to ban mass gatherings; or court trials by skype. Are all those things really necessary? Or have some civil servants simply been waiting (heaven knows for how long) for a convenient moment to introduce them without provoking mass protests on the streets?
For example, skype trials in court sound sensible at the time of an epidemic, but the very first reported trial is a rather frightening one. That is a Court of Protection trial last week to decide the fate of an anonymous man in his ‘70s, whose GP wants to switch off his life support to let him die ‘in dignity’, and whose family objects. Remember all the debates and protests over the cases of Charlie Gard and Alfie Evans in this country, and Vincent Lambert in France? Under the new regime, decisions on life and death cases of this kind are being made on a skype call. No proper trial, no ‘army’ of protesters, no real media coverage. It was only reported as a technological curiosity – the first major trial taking place by skype.
These and other measures are meant to be introduced only on a temporary basis. There is a subset clause in the Bill, whereby these new laws will automatically lose force after two years unless Parliament votes to extend them beyond that period. Amendments are being debated to shorten that period. However, this does not answer the concern that some of the most drastic innovations in the Act are clearly not necessary to contain coronavirus at all. If in those two years, someone is wrongly ‘sectioned’ in a lunatic asylum, it is small comfort to them that this practice will cease in 2022. Further, as a general rule of constitutional history, temporary limitations on liberty tend to become permanent whenever they are convenient for the state. We still live today with all sorts of draconian laws introduced as a matter of emergency after 11 September 2001. Come 2022, the Coronavirus Bill powers may also be extended on whatever pretext. Indeed, section 90 of the Bill even permits the extension of those powers without a vote in Parliament.
The price of liberty is eternal vigilance. Many dictatorships originate in people’s panicked enthusiasm for drastic measures to deal with a genuine crisis. Putin’s regime in Russia, for example, took hold because people trusted their democratically elected president to do whatever it takes to defeat the threat of terrorism. Eventually, when Putin responded to another terrorist attack by replacing regional elections with appointed governors, that trust was largely lost – but it was too late. It is no surprise that when we see fairly similar moves attempted in this country, our trust in the government hangs in the balance.
At least in terms of public trust, the next few days will be crucial for the government’s efforts to control the epidemic. If the government is serious about it, its legislation must be cleansed of all disingenuous attempts to take advantage. And if they are not serious about it, nobody else will be.’ https://christianconcern.com/comment/coronavirus-exploited-by-enemies-of-democracy/?utm_source=Christian+Concern&utm_campaign=a5725850b3-WN-20200228_COPY_01&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_9e164371ca-a5725850b3-127681039
November, 2020 will be a BIG month in determining the future of the USA and the lives of those who are its citizens. From my perspective the choice is clear as these Marxist Muslim political parties have one purpose and that is your enslavement. For instance, who would have ever thought someone who spent their honeymoon in Moscow would even be close to getting nominated as a candidate for President? Well, ‘Bernie Sanders won big on Saturday and is now the clear front-runner to be the Democratic candidate in the November US presidential election.’
‘Mr Sanders did not just win Nevada. Entrance polls show he dominated.
Those polls showed Mr Sanders winning men and women; whites and Latinos; voters in all but the oldest age group (17-29, 30-44 and 45-64); those with college degrees and those without. He was carrying union households and non-union households, self-identified liberal Democrats (by a wide margin) and moderate and conservative ones (narrowly).
“Welcome to the revolution,” said Waleed Shahid, a spokesman for Justice Democrats, a progressive group.’ https://thenewdaily.com.au/news/world/2020/02/24/bernie-sanders-nevada-win/
Now, let’s take some time to consider the Justice Democrats and the other Marxist Muslim parties. First the Justice Democrats.

If your desire is for a Marxist Muslim nation then the Justice Democrats is the party for you!
Then there is the Brand New Congress which the Justice Democrats web page says the Brand New Congress party is attempting ‘to recruit Congressional candidates to run as Republicans in red districts.’ If that isn’t scary enough this picture from the Brand New Congress web site will or should!

Then there is Our Revolution with Bernie as their MAN!
Not surprisingly their issues are much the same as the other Marxist Muslim parties. They are, Medicare for all, the Green New Deal, Good Jobs for All, Cancel Student Debt, Immigrant Rights, Criminal Justice reform, and Stop Endless Wars.https://www.ourrevolution.com/ Our Revolution.ONEPAGER.ISSUES.v4
If you are a freedom loving constitutionalist and not scared by now you should be! These people are out to change your entire life. The CHOICE in November is pretty clear and Bernie and these other Marxist Muslim leaning political parties are not the answer. Government should not be a terror to good works, but to the evil which Justice Democrats, Democrats, Our Revolution, and Brand New Congress do not qualify.
It shouldn’t come as any surprise that this communist inspired film was produced by the Obama’s production company. America and in fact, the Western world is on the brink of collapse unless freedom loving people get active. If the Obama’s of this world get their way your free speech along with many other freedoms we have come to simply accept will be a thing of the past.
However, true freedom is only found in the Lord Jesus Christ!
John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
John 8:36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
I suppose one doesn’t really appreciate their freedom of speech etc. until it is limited or gone completely. The following is ‘Reprinted by permission of FamilyVoice Australia, 4th floor, 68 Grenfell Street, Adelaide SA 5000.’

It’s simple, it’s all about money!
‘Organisers of a protest against Australia Day have asked attendees to bring cash and bank cards to “pay the rent” to Australia’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
Thousands of people are expected to gather in the Melbourne CBD for the Invasion Day rally which aims to abolish Australia’s national day — a day organisers say is “built on the stealing of our lands and the massacres of our people”.
More than 4000 people have agreed to attend the event between 11am-2pm at Parliament House.
Organisers from WAR: Warriors of Aboriginal Resistance say they want Australians to know they do not accept “racist and discriminatory policing practices and courts which incarcerate our people at the highest levels in the world” and “our people being killed at the hands of police, prisons, hospitals and healthcare providers”.
Part of a remedy, they say, is payment. But it’s not an idea that went over well with everybody.
Melbourne radio host Neil Mitchell took exception to the idea on his breakfast show on Monday after WAR published a guide for “how to act in solidarity” that included instructions to “bring cash and cards on the day to pay the rent”.
“How do we know where they’ll use the money?” Mitchell asked. “You don’t freely go out and collect money without being accountable … I hand over $20, what happens to it?”
Speaking with Lidia Thorpe, the former Greens MP and first Aboriginal woman in Victoria’s Parliament, Mitchell asked, “Is it really about money?”
“Look, it’s about reparations,” she said.’ Reparations or extortion? To read more go to https://www.news.com.au/national/politics/organisers-of-melbourne-invasion-day-rally-want-protesters-to-paytherent/news-story/039a497a7f3ffa375ed65aab4be824c1
Is there an Islamist nation on this earth where a Christian is as free to be a Christian as they are in Australia or the USA? I think not! Some years ago we had a couple move to Saudi Arabia for his job and they couldn’t take a Bible or the material their children used in our church youth programme. Not much freedom of religion there and yet the leftists are as quiet as a church mouse on this. Dr. Majid Rafizadeh, president of the International American Council on the Middle East, says;
Most recently, nine Christians in Iran, possibly converts, have been convicted by the Islamic court, and each sentenced to five years in prison. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) arrested them for attending church services at a private house. According to a report by Article 18, an Iranian NGO which promotes religious freedom:
“The arresting officers introduced themselves as agents from the Ministry of Intelligence (MOIS).
“They stormed the Christians’ homes in a coordinated operation at around 9am, confiscating Bibles, Christian literature, wooden crosses and pictures carrying Christian symbols, along with laptops, phones, all forms of identity cards, bank cards and other personal belongings.
“Arresting agents also searched the work offices of at least two Christians and confiscated computer hard drives and security-camera recordings.”
Christian families are generally dehumanized and humiliated in the community during the agent’s raids. As the Article 18 report explained, “The officers are reported to have treated the Christians harshly, even though small children were present during the arrests.”
Across Iran, Christians are being arrested and jailed on trumped-up charges, such as “promoting Zionism”, “spreading corrupt Christians beliefs”, “propagating against the Islamic Republic in favor of Christianity”, “orientation toward the land of Christianity,” or “endangering national security”. Open Doors USA stated that one particular charge — “acting against national security” — is often used by the Iranian authorities “to prosecute Christians for their house church activities.”
The claim of Iranian leaders that the peaceful religious practices of a minority group pose a grave a threat to national security is totally unacceptable. Iran’s total population is roughly 80 million, with anywhere between 117,000 and 3 million being Christian, according to various estimates. Even though Christians make up an extremely small part of the population, however, they have always been viewed, under the Islamic law of Iran, as a threat to “national security”.
The activities of Christians in the Islamic Republic are closely monitored by the Iranian intelligence service (MOIS) and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRCG). They are not permitted to share their faith with others or to conduct church services in Farsi, Iran’s national language.
It is important to hold accountable those Iranian individuals and institutions who are responsible for persecuting Christians.
Three of the Islamist judges known to preside over the trials of Christians are Mashallah Ahmadzadeh, Mohammed Moghiseh, and Ahmad Zargar. The international community needs to consider imposing sanctions on them
The NGO International Christian Concern (ICC) submitted the names of these judges to the US Treasury for consideration of sanctions. ICC stated:
“These three Revolutionary Court judges, and Evin Prison, have a long record of human rights abuses toward Iranian Christians. The judges are responsible for convicting Christians on trumped up charges. They wield Iran’s legal system as a systemic tool of repression against religious minorities. Often, when Christians stand firm in their faith, Iran’s judges send them to the notorious Evin Prison, located on the outskirts of Tehran. Stories of those who survived Evin Prison are heartbreaking; the wide variety of abuse faced by inmates is chilling.”
Converts to Christianity from Islam, according the Iran’s Islamic law, can face the death penalty. The Iranian Islamist judges generally resort to verses from the Quran and Hadith (Muhammad’s sayings and acts) to justify their verdicts. One particular verse in Qur’an states:
“They wish you would disbelieve as they disbelieved so you would be alike. So do not take from among them allies until they emigrate for the cause of Allah. But if they turn away, then seize them and kill them wherever you find them and take not from among them any ally or helper.” (Qur’an 4:89)
A hadith attributed to Muhammad says: “Whoever changed his Islamic religion, then kill him”.
Even though the international community labels the government of Iranian President Hassan Rouhani as a moderate administration, and even though Rouhani claims that the Islamic Republic treats all religions justly and fairly, Iran is one of the worst places in the world for Christians. According to the World Watch List compiled by Open Doors USA, Iran is currently ranked as the ninth-worst country for faith-based persecution. Iran systematically violates the U.S. International Religious Freedom Act and this is why, since 1999, the U.S. has designated the Islamic Republic as a “Country of Concern.”
Under international law, the Iranian government has an obligation to respect freedom of religion. Yet, while Christians are being increasingly persecuted and their rights are violated in Iran at an unprecedented level, the international community still remains silent.’ https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/15229/iran-christians-persecution
The following video is a parody on the Socialist Marxist proponents who are seeking to destroy everything that has allowed us in the West to be one of the most prosperous generations that have ever lived. However, we do admit there have been some mistakes along the way but it is a fact socialism has never worked. Cuba, the USSR and Venezuela are three examples. Watch, enjoy, laugh and share.
John 15:18 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.
Leftists can shout the F word and destroy public property but a man in a wheelchair can not be allowed to pray outside an abortion clinic. The killer of babies is safe from arrest but a man praying for the unborn baby isn’t. Hmm, what next?
‘ARRESTED FOR PEACEFULLY PRAYING: Watch the unbelievable and deeply disturbing footage of wheelchair user Christian Hacking being arrested for peacefully praying outside an abortion clinic. He was carried by four police officers to a riot van and was imprisoned for eight hours after he was alleged to have failed to comply with a Public Spaces Protection Order. The good news is the charges have been dropped, but the case raises huge questions over whether praying in a public space now constitutes ‘harassment’ and whether buffer zones around abortion clinics breach freedom of expression, religion and thought. Christian said: “I do not regret what I did, and urge the Church to pray more, not less outside of clinics until the killing stops. Surely we, as a nation, can give women in a crisis something better than abortion. I care deeply about all the families who attend abortion clinics and will continue to do what it takes, no matter what, until this silent genocide of innocent children ends.” Find out more in today’s Daily Telegraph and our press release.’https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rYEA7wdxLfI
