Follow the science so say the Leftist! Oh, but on gender follow your feelings! As Rome fell so will the West as we have known it. Now, ‘It seems that one of the most controversial questions you can now pose in Australia is to ask for a definition of a woman. Even using the word ‘woman’ is considered an act of tyranny by trans activists.
Other questions with historically obvious answers have also become awkward and less obvious:
- Should women and girls be made to share change rooms and toilets with males?
- Is it okay for biological males to compete against women at the 2021 Olympics?
- If a male sex offender identifies as a woman, should they be put in a women’s prison?
- Should women’s refuges be forced to accept males who identify as women?
In Sydney this week, McIver’s Ladies Baths at Coogee were targeted by a loud and very aggressive minority group who have labelled them as haters. McIver’s Baths, which we are told has been revered as a sacred women-only space by the Aboriginal landowners, has been a ‘women and children only’ facility since 1922.
You may think that the problem that they are being targeted for is apparent discrimination due to their gender specific ruling. This is not the case. Rather, it is because their website states that transgender women are welcome, but only once they have undergone gender-reassignment surgery. Not good enough for the extreme trans activists. For them, if a male wants to identify as female, even if it’s just for a dip in a beautiful pool, they must be allowed.
There is a lot at stake here. The first and most important casualty is truth. From creation humanity was made man and woman. It may be getting harder to speak the truth, but it has never been more important.
This truth is backed up by science: there are two sexes, XX and XY.
Anything outside of that is a genetic abnormality that can still be classified as male or female based on the presence or absence of the Y chromosome. There is no Z, there is no W. Surgery and cross-sex hormones can’t change us into the opposite sex. They can affect appearances. They can stunt or damage some outward expressions of our reproductive organs. But they cannot turn someone from one sex into the other.
Changing sexes is a biological impossibility. Transgendered men do not become women, nor do transgendered women become men. All become feminised men or masculinised women. To assert anything else is a cruel lie that will never provide the long-term wholeness and happiness that people seek.

During the China virus fiasco all the Left could say is “Follow the science”. However, when it comes to gender they shout diversity or something to that effect! Now, there are those who even seek to change what the Bible says about God. ‘A recent UK Times story reported on a Populus survey conducted for the Movement for Reform Judaism, saying that ‘[nearly] three quarters of Christians think that God is male, compared with less than half of the general population.’
However, the newspaper report was slightly misleading, as the wording in the actual poll asks simply how the respondents had thought about God most recently. And the only way they were able to get ‘less than half of the general population’ not believing in a solely male God was to exclude the religious from the general population (62% of respondents last thought of God as male, compared with 73% of Christians and 48% of those who did not consider themselves to belong to any religion). Only 1% of respondents thought of God as female, the rest being divided between both male and female, neither, or ‘none of the above’ (the latter category left undefined—perhaps for the best!).
The radical feminist assault on Christianity
Many feminist writers and theologians claim that the concept of a male God is rooted in a patriarchal culture which by its very nature is oppressive to women, and that the Bible contains a female portrayal of God’s nature that has been suppressed by the Church.2 Having moved past this ‘archaic’ and ‘misogynistic’ view of women, they argue that society should accordingly revise its view of God to include the female characteristics they claim are found both in Scripture and Jewish and Church tradition.
Christians believe that it is only possible to know the information about God that He reveals to us Himself through Scripture. Of course, God is Spirit (John 4:24), so is biologically neither male nor female, and He does not have a sexual nature. Is there a real definition of man and woman in a world that wants fluid gender?
‘The easy bit is that the word “man” refers to an adult human male, and a “woman” is an adult female human. But can we actually give a testable, provable meaning to the traditional words “male” and “female”, or are they just roles allocated for convenience which can be abandoned as life evolves?
This is a battle being fought hardest in school classrooms to conquer the minds of the next generation. Consider the following actual events:
A woman teacher was caught up in a staff room debate about who could use the girls’ toilets and change rooms at her schools. A transgender supporter claimed ‘We can be whatever gender we choose and therefore we must be allowed to use whichever toilet suits our choice’. The frustrated lady teacher retorted: “Why don’t we just look between their legs – that should settle it!”
Second event – November – 2020! Two Christian parents spend several frustrating hours with a Government school principal and deputy. What’s the problem? Their daughter has reported to them that their school class has been ordered to call one boy she.
Mum and dad ask why the school is forcing their child to lie. ‘But that’s just your opinion’ retorts the deputy. ‘If the boy feels he’s a girl we have to accept that. It’s the law!’
But my wife and I are both scientists, state the parents. We can give you a testable definition of what a male or female is. All the creatures we work with have very observable features of male and female. The boy is the one with the testicles who makes sperm. And in every case they are provably different from the females who make ova and babies. And we humans are the same.
So why are you teaching my daughter to lie? And why are you lying about this yourselves? Did you intend to tell us as parents that you had ordered the class to call this boy a girl?
“No,” replied the increasingly embarrassed principal, while a very emphatic “NO!” was uttered by an obvious radical feminist deputy. Government policy is that we must accept whatever gender the students feel they are, and this student feels they are female no matter what your opinion is.
The result? Despite being long-term participants and active supporters on school councils, both parents advise the Principal that because you’re teaching our children to lie and you are lying about it, our children are out of here today – not this afternoon, but right now!
Of course, the school authorities are rightly concerned about what they should tell students’ parents, especially other Christian parents in the school.
How should we react when atheist governments and education are actually lying about gender and sex? How do we define boy or girl, male or female, man or woman? And can we go deeper than that and have a meaningful scientific and legally enforceable definition?
Male and Female
Let’s start with the obvious differences between what we traditionally call gender. Being male or female, whether infant or adult, is provably determined by a person’s chromosomes, and indicated by the resulting reproductive systems and naturally produced hormones. At different stages of a person’s life reproductive systems and related hormonally induced changes to body structures will go through maturation and degenerative processes, but an individual remains either male or female throughout his or her life, from conception, through childhood and adulthood, to death.
The chromosomes that determine whether a person is male and female are named X and Y. A male has an X and a Y, usually written as XY, a female has two Xs, usually written as XX. These are inherited at conception and remain in every cell in the body, with one notable exception for each sex* (see below) for the rest of a person’s life.
Therefore, it doesn’t matter what manipulation is done to the body or mind after conception – a person is male or female throughout life. It doesn’t matter what bits they may get cut off or added on, or any alterations caused by the chosen addition of alternative sex hormones or by blocking their own hormones. In spite of efforts by transgender activists to drive a wedge between gender and sex, neither gender nor sex are determined by an individual’s choice, or by feelings, by externally administered drugs or hormones, or by social acceptance of someone’s choice.
*The only cells in the body that do not have the XY or XX chromosome identity are the reproductive cells, i.e. sperm in a male and ova (eggs) in a female. When these cells are formed the chromosomes are separated and each sex cell gets one of the sex chromosomes. Therefore, sperm will have either an X or a Y, ova will have one of two X’s. But such cells are still male or female, as only males can produce sperm and only females can produce ova?
Where Did Male and Female Come From?
Each human being is formed from the union of one sperm, carrying an X or a Y chromosome, and one ovum, carrying an X chromosome. An X carrying sperm will give rise to a female when its X combines with the X in the ovum. Y carrying sperm give rise to a male when it combines with the X in the ovum. This process can be traced back through the generations to the first human beings – Adam and Eve. Sex is not something you can evolve. It has to be right first time or you die out!
Adam was created male. Therefore, he had an X and a Y chromosome. Eve was created from tissue taken from Adam. All the components needed to make a woman were already in Adam. To make a female from male tissue God took out the Y chromosome and duplicated an X. From then on human beings have reproduced by the process described above.
Adam and Eve were created individually by God. Adam was made from “dust of the ground” i.e. raw materials, and Eve was made from tissue taken from Adam. They were not derived from any other living creature. Human beings are unique and separate creations, and therefore it is irrelevant if other living things, such as fish or plants, can change sex in certain circumstances.
So, theistic evolutionists take note: Those who want to believe in evolution but defend God’s word on men and women, and marriage, will find themselves on shaky ground. If evolution is true, human ancestry goes back to creatures with no distinct sexes and/or interchangeable sexes, and those who oppose God’s rules can claim that blurring the sexes is just part of the natural world, and Christians should not impose their views on it.

Evolutionists tell us that in the early stages, evolution would have produced creatures that reproduce without the need for male and female. They then suppose that some mutation would have produced the gender differences, but what advantage would these differences offer? Quite the contrary, these differences would be a disadvantage and become quickly selected out. An even more serious problem is that, according to evolution’s history of life, the male and female sexes must have developed in different kinds of creatures dozens of times.
No one has the slightest idea how one or a dozen mutations could have produced male and female. To change a creature from having no gender into a male or a female requires developing several new organs, changing some others, creating entire, new hormone systems, and changing others. New organs and systems would have to be immediately integrated into the workings of the rest of the body. In addition, the independently developed male changes would have to work with the independently developed female changes. Changes would also have to be made in the brains of the new creatures so that they would want to mate with each other. And evolutionists tell us this must have happened dozens of times!
Yes, that simple phrase “God created them male and female” leaves evolution with an imponderable mystery. This mystery is solved easily by God’s Word. I had some black friends in high school back in the early 60’s and we all got along fine. They were black and I was white! We all knew what color we were and we lived with it. Not so today! Today, race and gender are the issue! Society is truly screwed up and sadly doesn’t look like it will get any better. The Western governments facilitate this racial and gender confusion and hatred. Do they really think having organizations for the different ethnic groups are going to cement everyone together? So, now we or rather they are celebrating not only the color of the person but the gender identity! My worry is not so much for me as an older person but my grandchildren growing up in this nonsensical society!

I am almost 76 and way back in the late 50’s Saturday mornings were often spent watching ‘funny’ cartoons such as Daffy Duck, etc. None of the cartoons that I know of had the sole purpose of causing the viewer to question what gender they were! If they had an agenda other than being funny I am not sure what it was BUT NOT so today! The cartoon industry along with many others are out to get our children and in that change society. It’s pretty clear most of those who seek to change society are atheist/Marxist leaning individuals and one way it seems to change society is getting young people to question their gender.
Recently the ‘Cartoon Network released a comic strip highlighting the importance of respecting ‘many gender identities’ and loving a person no matter their preferred pronoun.
On Monday, the Twitter account associated with Cartoon Network tweeted a new series with the caption: “Here’s to not only normalizing gender pronouns, but respecting them, too.”
“Whether you use he/she/them or something else, we acknowledge and LOVE you!” it added, along with a link to the “Gender Justice Tool Kit” which it said was “designed to facilitate conversations that can save lives.”
The comic strips in the new series were created in partnership with the National Black Justice Coalition, a leftist, pro-LGBT organization.
Included with the tweet, was a comic strip featuring Stevonnie from Steven Universe and Craig from Craig of the Creek meeting two new friends, Kam and Alex.
“Gender pronouns describe a person’s gender identity,” one part of the comic strip read. “Examples of pronouns are she/her, they/them, an ze/zir. A lot of people are learning about gender. If you’re comfortable, you can share your own pronouns.”
“We can’t tell someone’s gender just by looking at them and shouldn’t assume we know,” the comic strip added. “There are many gender identities beyond ‘girl’ or ‘boy.’ Some people don’t identify as any gender.”
In a second part of the strip, two of the characters are talking about the pronouns they like to identify themself with, such as “they/them.”
