Big Bang astrophysicists are having a bit of a Big Bang bother over trying to work out whether or not the universe is flat. There are some astrophysicists who claim the universe is flat, and others who claim the universe is round. According to Big Bang scientists, space has more dimensions than we can envisage. Even the “simplest” analogy they can make suggests that the universe is on the surface of a four-dimensional sphere, expanding into that fourth dimension. If one could send a rocket far enough in a straight line in any direction, then it would eventually come back on itself – if the universe is round. Yet, other observational evidence suggests that universe is flat – that if a rocket sets off in one direction, it would never return.
A recent New Scientist article made some explanations about these disagreements, and this highlighted why the mysteries arise. For example, one observation concerns “lensing”, where light is bent by gravitational fields of stars and planets. The article explains: “That is because the extra lensing implies the presence of extra dark matter, which would pull the universe into a finite sphere instead of a flat sheet.” But this assumes the existence of dark matter. As we have discussed in previous Creation Moments, dark matter is really a “fiddle factor”, designed to help Big Bang sums work. People may scoff at those who believe the Bible to be the very Words of the Living Creator God but it is they who are proven over and over to be wrong. ‘Wikipedia has very little to say about the Snow buttercup – Ranunculus nivalis. This is what it says:
“It displays prevalent heliotropism, thus gaining an advantage in its harsh, cold environment through capturing more solar energy by following the sun.”
Heliotropism is a fascinating property. It means that the flower tracks the position of the sun during the day, moving its little yellow parabolic flowers by using special motor cells so that it is constantly pointing towards the sun, as if it were a little radio telescope. The plant grows to about 6 inches high, and its flower is between half and one inch across. As it is the shape of a parabolic dish, it reflects the heat from the sun to a focal point, which is just about where the anther and stamens are positioned. Now, this flower grows in very cold environments so this small amount of extra warmth is very welcome – especially to pollinating insects. Such insects are attracted to the warm spot and are, therefore, more likely to collect or distribute pollen than with a regular-temperature flower. It is undeniable that this gives the snow buttercup an advantage in the competition for pollinators. But I am using evolutionary language. Why is there a competition? How did this flower achieve such an advantage? This property could not have evolved, as the pre-evolved plants would have died in the cold. ‘INDIGENOUS REALITIES: From cries and placards of ‘Always was – Always will be aboriginal land,’ through musical strains of ‘I am, you are, we are Australian’ to ‘Barbies on the Beach’ – few people who celebrated Australia Day Downunder realised no-one was “Australian”, until January 26, 1949, when ‘Aussies’ could first travel with authorised Australian passports, and not British ones! When this Editor grew up, the debate topic at schools was ‘Am I still British?’ I for one rejoice in the fact that I have both a British and an Australian passport. But when I grew up the famous Jenolan caves were regarded as four thousand years old, not millions of years. It was without doubt a Biblically based society. Even though I didn’t come from a church family, nobody believed the Australian Aborigines had been here 60 to 70,000 years, the now popular basis for their claim to have always owned Australia, and to be Indigenous.
So, let’s throw a serious question out there – how long do you have to be in a country to be ‘indigenous’? It is easy to prove aborigines have not always been here, and they did come from India*, so they did not start as indigenous by any current definition. So how long were they here before they became indigenous? A decade, a century, a millennium? Perhaps it is time to consider anybody who is born in a country and grows up there as “indigenous”. Anybody who has worked with aborigines knows full well their culture has no concept of 6,000 or 60,000 years. These are ‘white fella’ European evolutionist lies about the evolution of aborigines, which political activists among the aborigines are now using at one end to ‘take back their land’, or at the furthest extreme ‘get rid of Australia’, and in doing so may bring chaos and even war to one of the most peaceful nations on earth – the land Downunder.
Perhaps you should be like us at Creation Research who really do acknowledge the traditional owners of the land – Father, Son and Holy Spirit, Who alone can grant peace and harmony, first to the individual, then to community and nation.

‘In the beginning – about 13.8 billion years ago – there was nothing. There were no atoms or molecules, and no forces. Then, suddenly, for no reason at all – Bang! Everything came into existence, and began to expand.
But that slow expansion can’t explain how all of space in the universe is about the same temperature, so a few millionths of a second after that Big Bang, everything went fizz and expanded very, very rapidly indeed for another few millionths of a second before it all returned to its earlier slow expansion. And scientists called this fizz Cosmic Inflation, and saw that it was good – well, perhaps not that good, but at least it made the difficult sums work out – mostly.
Yes, I am being satirical. That’s because it is a mythology that deserves to be satirized. Because not even the story I have given you is enough! Somehow, there had to be heat energy at the end of the inflation period, but the processes so far described would have resulted in a cold universe – “a cold, homogeneous goop”, as one scientist put it. So Big Bang cosmogonists have to further theorize that a reheating phase had to happen to get all the material in the new universe into a form that could expand to form our current universe.
