Ask those Muslims who live in your present-day democratic nation if they accept what is occurring in Pakistan regarding Asia Bibi? Their answer will tell you a lot concerning the Religion of Peace and the future of democratic nations that overlook this fact!
‘The lawyer representing a Pakistani Christian woman acquitted of blasphemy after almost eight years on death row, has fled the country in fear for his life, an associate told CNN on Sunday.’ https://edition.cnn.com/2018/11/04/asia/asia-bibi-lawyer-flees-pakistan-intl/index.html
Often the early explorers such as Captain Cook and those Englishmen that followed are called invaders. For example, ‘ Since the European invasion of Australia in 1788, the
Aboriginal people have been oppressed into a world unnatural to their existence for thousands of years.’ http://www.aboriginalheritage.org/history/history/
However, when it comes to the Muslims here is another tale.
‘The Welcome to Country was done by the truly remarkable guest speaker, a local Indigenous Muslim elder of the Wurunjeri, Br Hassan Andrew Gardiner.
Br Hassan fascinatingly explained that “there’s been contact between Muslims and
Aboriginal people of this land for many hundreds of years. Some of the earliest rock art in the Kimberlys in Northern Australia show two-masted ships such as those you would see in the Nile River in Egypt.”
He mentioned the Indonesian fishermen and the Afghan cameleers and the peaceful relationship Muslims have historically had with aboriginal people.
“There’s been past wrongs and injustices against aboriginal people… and I find an affinity between what’s happening with the Palestinians now to be very similar.” Br Hassan said.
He called for greater awareness and advocacy to right those wrongs.’ http://www.amust.com.au/2018/05/interfaith-ramadan-dinner-month-of-compassion/
This being welcomed into the country is sickening. This is Australia and it is supposedly ‘multicultural’ Australia. Yet, this Aboriginal Muslim has praise for those of the Islamic faith but not so much for the English that gave them the English language, English law, the Word of God, etc. etc. Just look at any nation that has been taken over by a Muslim majority and eventually Sharia is imposed on the people. That nation is a place where no non-Muslim would desire to live and that is seen in modern day so-called immigration.
As for being welcomed to the land, Australia belongs to Australians. One of the blessings from the English arrival the Gospel was preached and has been now for over two hundred years. Whether one agrees with the word ‘invasion’ or not we should be thankful that the Gospel was brought here and as the Lord Jesus said ‘And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” and many including Aboriginals have been set free from the power and penalty of sin and are on their way to heaven!
The Enemy is real. Now, for the Christian, we know there isn’t just one enemy but three; the flesh, the world, and the devil. You do not have to agree but Facebook fits the “world”
and Islam is certainly the product of the “devil”. For instance, Islam as the product of the Devil denies the Scriptures that speak to the fact of Jesus’ death and resurrection. Christianity itself is based on those two facts; 1 Corinthians 15.
I say all of that to say that Facebook (the world) is working with the devil (Islam) to stifle your and my freedom of speech along with other precious liberties.
For instance, an Islamist website says ‘In addition to the armies of fake accounts and pages that Russia propagated on Facebook, we’ve also seen a disturbing trend of hate groups who are all too real using social media platforms to organize and spread their malice. As just one example, ACT for America and its founder Brigitte Gabriel continue to
have active Facebook presences (and in Gabriel’s case, a ?? verified account), despite being named as a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center. As other organizations, including Muslim Advocates, have noted, there are dozens more self-proclaimed and unambiguously hateful pages with thousands of followers. For them, Facebook becomes a useful one-stop platform for spreading false and fear-mongering information about minority communities, cyber-bullying individuals, and organizing real world events to spread hate and even launch outright criminal actions.
Along with a diverse group of community and advocacy organizations, MPAC has had the opportunity to meet regularly with Facebook to discuss these concerns and work on proactive solutions to make the platform empowering rather than targeting of our communities. We have joined our colleagues in urging that the company fundamentally address the way both fake profiles and real hate groups use the social network to prey upon our communities, and have stressed that such a task can only be accomplished through direct partnership and representation of those who are most directly affected. We have also expressed our willingness to work with the company to better identify problematic content, outright hate speech and patterns of anti-Muslim activities that Facebook’s staff may be less intuitively prepared to recognize.
Finally, no matter what steps Facebook takes to reduce the presence of hate groups and foreign actors on its platform, it can’t delete the underlying hate itself, particularly when bigoted users often cast their actions as protected free speech. In addition to combating hate speech, therefore, we also urge social media platforms and our own community to work closely together to better amplify our own voices. Russians and anti-Muslim extremists alike have demonstrated a far more sophisticated understanding of how to use these platforms to spread their messages and create real social impact. We ought to be able to do the same.
Facebook, to its credit, has often demonstrated support for our community. When President Trump unveiled his Muslim ban last year, COO Sheryl Sandberg
spoke forcefully against the move, saying that it defied “the heart and values that define the best of our nation.” And in 2015, in the midst of then candidate Trump’s Muslim ban rabble rousing, Zuckerberg wrote directly to Muslims to offer his solidarity and pledged to “fight to protect your rights and create a peaceful and safe environment.”As Facebook thinks deeply about its future and the responsibility it has to its 2 billion users (both real and fake), we hope its leadership will follow through on their own words and work with us to create a better platform for all.’ https://www.mpac.org/policy-analysis/why-facebooks-future-matters-for-muslims.php
So Zuckerburg’s Facebook is working with Islam to silence those who speak against the “devil”!? For instance, Brigitte Gabriel is the spokesperson for http://www.actforamerica.org/ which states ‘ACT for America showcases the tolerant and patriotic nature of our nation through our diversity, as well as by fostering a healthy dialogue about the most critical threats facing our nation from the perspective of a variety of voices.
While we welcome all who share our beliefs, we never have and never will tolerate any bias, discrimination, or violence against anyone, based on their religion, gender, race, or political persuasion. Freedom to practice one’s religion in peace is afforded to each of us by the U.S. Constitution and we will defend it vigorously.
Through our advocacy and activism, we will continue to address the threat presented by those who seek to destroy our Western way of life through advocating violence or radical religious discrimination through hate groups, such as those represented by movements like radical Islam.’ http://www.actforamerica.org/aboutact
It seems Facebook and most of the social media we use have sold themselves out to the Devil! The Christian’s decision to stay on or get off Facebook may depend on how much the Christian loves their freedom of speech.
However, according to Oklahoma News 4 the ECU president said they had “…moved too quickly” and they “…regret not taking time to pause and thoughtfully consider the request and the results of our actions on all of the students, faculty and community members who we serve.”
‘Pierson said initially the university removed some items to show support for all cultures and religious beliefs. The chapel is used for various religions, student clubs and events.
“This requires a more thoughtful and deliberate approach to the request,” Pierson said. “That will be our next step.”
Pierson said the university will immediately begin convening a committee of students, faculty and community members who represent a diversity of viewpoints to study the issue.
“ECU is committed to diversity and welcomes different perspectives. This is an opportunity to have a thoughtful dialogue,” adds Pierson. “ECU will not take further action, either by putting back the removed items, or by removing further artifacts, including the cross on the steeple, until the committee has had ample time to discuss and establish policies or guidelines for religious expressions in the art, history, architecture, study and areas of worship on campus.”
“Any further actions will be taken after our conversations with the committee and our valued community of students, faculty, alumni and Ada citizens,” Pierson said.’ http://kfor.com/2017/06/30/oklahoma-college-to-remove-crosses-bibles-from-campus-chapel-after-receiving-complaint/
One wonders what a call to prayer from an Islamic minaret does to those in the Americans United for the Separation of Church and State? Also I am waiting for the formation of Americans United for the Separation of Mosque and State?!
http://www.mrctv.org/videos/bernie-sanders-rips-trump-nominee-being-christian
Does Bernie think (that is if he has the capacity to think) Muslims believe non-Muslims are going to Heaven? If he does he is more stupid than I thought. However, this type of questioning would never be allowed toward a Muslim! Again, Bernie showed what an arrogant ignorant man he is!
the Jesus of the Qur’an is not the Jesus of the New Testament. For Muslims, he is not the Son of God, not one third of the Trinity, did not die on the cross, was not resurrected after death, and is not God incarnate. He is simply one of a long line of prophets, important — yet inferior to Muhammad.Islam is diametrically opposite Bible Christianity. These poor saps that seek to dialogue with the Devil will be the first on the chopping block. Again, as I wrote yesterday not all Muslims are terrorists but all terrorists for many years now have claimed that they are Muslims.
What is the answer? There MUST be questions asked of migrating Muslims concerning Sharia and many other Islamic beliefs that are in total opposition to a free society. Even then there is great danger in such a mass migration of Muslims into a free society. May our political leaders get their heads out of the sand and into reality.
‘Don’t you wonder how the Aftermath of Public Massacres will evolve? I mean, there has
to be an end to teddy bears and flowers, right? How many candles can you light before the sidewalks are slick with wax?
Well, the mother of one of the dead victims of the Manchester bomb blast is honoring her daughter with a tattoo. Of a bee. Because it’s the old working class Manchester’s symbol. You know, underpaid worker bees. Drones.
Hundreds of Mancunians have been queuing to get their city’s symbolic worker bee tattooed on them in the wake of the terror attack that rocked the city.
Members of the public were filmed outside the city’s Holier Than Thou tattoo centre as they waited in the scorching sun, while other parlours reported large numbers queuing for the design.
Minimum donations of £40 were taken from customers, but many were paying up to £100 for their bee tattoo, with all the money raised being donated to the Manchester Arena Victim’s Fund.
The worker bee was adopted as a motif for Manchester during the Industrial Revolution.
Among those to get one done was Charlotte Campbell — whose daughter Olivia was one of 22 people who died when Salman Abedi detonated an explosive device after an Ariana Grande concert on Monday night.
As the mother of a dead daughter, I can sympathize with this mother’s overwhelming need to do something, anything, to make her suddenly and cruelly vanished daughter feel more present to her. But even had I thought of it, I doubt I’d have gotten a tattoo in a desperate attempt to replace my child.
Predictably, the sheep good citizens of Manchester are lining up behind this mum, waiting to get their skins inked, too. Why, that’ll show those terrorists! At forty pounds a pop, and even more from those who can afford it, these monies are going to be donated to “The Manchester Area Victims’ Fund”.
But it gets worse. The Mail reports:
Her distraught mother described the heart-sinking moment a police liaison officer told her Olivia had died.
She said: ‘I got the call, I was outside and I got the horrific news. I looked up to the sky and a shooting star went across.
‘At that time I didn’t think anything but I look back now and it was Oli passing over. It was phenomenal.’
Ms Campbell claims she received 18,000 Facebook messages after the news of her daughter’s death, the sheer volume broke her phone.
She has now revealed how the family want to make Olivia, who was a talented singer, a star.
They plan to rope Simon Cowell into this effort. He is no doubt hiding somewhere, waiting for the whole thing to blow over. And no doubt it will. If Londoners can get over the 7/7 bombings, Manchester can move past a concert. Look at how Paris has coped: y’all can do it just as well when the next slaughter happens, surely? Show those French how to do it.
No one in Manchester appears to be angry (though some appear to be barking mad) about the slaughter. It will make them stronger when they don’t get angry, see? And stronger for what, precisely? I do hope what they mean is they will strongly prohibit their teenage children from attending large concerts without wearing full Kevlar body armor.
Now some are muttering because the Queen went to see the victims (about darn time, your Royal Highness. Why weren’t you at Lee Rigby’s funeral?) but the star of the show hasn’t done the same. I would imagine she is somewhere shaken to her soul, never mind noblesse oblige visits to those who were lucky enough to survive the carnage caused at her venue.
Islamic terror will change how we live. It will damage us economically — want to visit a mall? It will trap us into a spiritual vacuum — i.e., what’s the point of fighting back when you’ll just get charged with hate speech?
For years, Brits have told me, “you just wait. The day will come when we won’t take it anymore. And then you’ll see some bloody changes”. Well, the day has come — it has dawned several times now — and I see no changes. Nothing. Just an ever more repressive government.
Getting your skin inked in a medically questionable procedure isn’t gonna do it, y’all. Not even close.
And you don’t need a Victims’ Fund in Manchester. You need a Fighters’ Fund, for heaven’s sake! Fight back while you can or continue to watch your children die… if enough of you man up, including the mothers, the police can’t put you all in jail. Overwhelm them with your numbers and your rage!
You don’t have full freedom anymore, do you? If you did, there would be gangs of angry dads out in the streets now. But the government was one step ahead: what do you think those protective government troops were designed to do? I believe they were a visual message to the families, as in “watch your step there, mate”.
At this point, Manchester, what do you have left to lose?’ http://gatesofvienna.net/2017/05/flowers-and-teddy-bears-not-for-manchester/
‘Silence from us pesky Christians is what elites want.
We have no business putting forward an alternative vision for marriage and gender, we were told not once, but twice this week.
The new Australia they are trying to create excludes a Christian worldview from the public square.
First there was Labor Senate Leader Penny Wong asserting that separation of church and state meant Christians should stay out of the marria
ge and “safe schools” debates.
Really? Why should one group of Australians be disbarred from debate about laws which affect children and freedoms while other Australians are allowed to participate?
Separation of church and state is important but it was never designed to exclude religious people from public policy debates. Penny Wong should know better.
All Australians should be free to have their say on any issue – especially marriage and “safe schools”.
But it is frightening for free speech in this country that no-one pulled her up.
Media were quite happy to report her critique of ACL, but our reply was ignored.
Secondly, news broke at the weekend that the Australian Medical Association is campaigning to redefine marriage because it is a mental health issue.
Dr John Hayes kindly provided me a copy of this letter he has sent to a major newspaper.
Dear Sir,
The Federal AMA leadership has lost credibility by claiming that denying homosexuals the right to marry is detrimental to their mental health. This is pure spin and has no scientific basis. The truth is the AMA has capitulated to intense Media pressure from the Gay Lobby, led by former AMA president, Dr Kerryn Phelps, whose comment that “Christians now have nowhere to hide” is sectarian bigotry unbecoming of a former AMA president.
Ordinary AMA members were denied a vote on this issue, whereas in 2016, members were given a say and overwhelmingly rejected Euthanasia.
Regards,
Dr John Hayes, AMA member
I’ve met Dr Kerryn Phelps. We were on the ABC1’s Q&A program together. Off camera, we got along well despite our disagreement about redefining marriage.
Her comment at the weekend that “Christians have nowhere to hide” is a worry.
We need to be determined not to hide. This is a time to have courage and to speak up for the truth about marriage and why gender diversity in it matters.’ http://www.acl.org.au/why_we_need_to_speak_up_while_we_can?utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=eNews%2023%20May%202017&utm_content=eNews%2023%20May%202017+CID_825f846005b996499a64ace7f659ec7f&utm_source=CreateSend&utm_term=Read%20Lyles%20blog
‘Under Old Testament law, vulgarity was forbidden and the penalty was serious. “Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.” (Exodus 20:7)
Under grace, the standard for such speech is even higher. It extends to any words that have the slightest bent toward disrespect of God’s name, vulgarity, swearing, and even vain repetition. In setting a higher standard, Jesus said that committing such an act in the heart is the same as actually doing it. (Matthew 5:29) The epistles overflow with commands saying that questionable speech and vulgarity do not belong in the mouths of the saints. Paul tells us that if we rein in our thoughts, we can guard our words against those things that offend a holy God.
“Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalted itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.” (II Corinthians 10:5)
With all this in mind, can you tell me why our present world is covered with a tidal wave of vulgarity? The offense is multiplied when humans, made in the image of God, actually defend the right to be foul mouthed! A celebration of vulgarity.
WHO SHOULD BE SURPRISED?
A foul mouth
rises from a corrupt, putrid heart. We are surprised when a wicked heart is polite, kind, reasonable, and gentle in speech. It does happen. The reader has learned by now that I leave the devotional ministry, in the main, to my other friends; and they do well with it. My task, however, is to be a truth teller; and even believers are uncomfortable with truth in plain speech. Let’s be clear about this. Any heart that has rejected Christ as Savior is “wicked”. It has committed the most heinous sin that can be committed. The murder of the unborn and sodomy are wicked acts, but rejection of the Son of God, His deity, and His virgin birth are the height of wickedness. That is why liberalism is a wicked movement. It is why the majority of people you know are wicked. That is why some politicians, judges, and business men and women are wicked. So, when they vent their wickedness through their foul mouths, it is only a confession of just how evil they are. We are obligated to remember that God loved the world so much that He gave His only Son. We are commanded to remember that God hates all sin, both small and great. While we are commanded to love all mankind, we must hate what God hates.
IMMERSED IN A WORLD OF VULGARITY
It is everywhere – news, radio, television, printed media, and our own communities. Spirit-filled Christians are buried in verbal filth at work, school, and out in public. No-one seems to care that God has forbidden such low-level conversation. If we go out for a special dinner, the conversation at the next table often turns to garbage. Try enjoying a night with the family at a special sports event -there is an onslaught of offensive language on all four sides. How many times have you been driving somewhere and encountered vulgar warfare between drivers or pedestrians? We live in a world where many people have the morals of a “junk-yard dog” with language to match. If you want a real eyeful or earful, go to social media. If you try to have a reasonable discussion, some liberal will bust in with a string of vulgarity that only demonstrates that he doesn’t have the slightest idea of what an answer should be… but he sure knows how to cuss!
You get the point: it’s a bad world out there. Let me ask you a question: Is there anything God’s people can do when buried in such despicable situations? There are times when it is best to be silent. In the vulgar world, people have been known to become violent if they think you are “judging” them. We know what Jesus did under such temptation; He quoted scripture. Many of you do that on Facebook. We can try a reasonable answer, but that usually doesn’t work with people who have rejected truth as a way of thinking. We probably don’t think of praying for depraved people, but that might be the first thing that should come to our mind. Of course, you could isolate yourself and pretend it is not really happening; but remember that “Silence isn’t always golden; sometimes it is just plain yellow!” Of course, you could side with the perpetrator and defend him/her by attacking the person who brought up the subject of holiness and truth.
THIS IS WHAT REALLY HURTS
It is so easy to pick on the children of the devil. In case you have forgotten, anyone who is not a child of God through faith in Christ is a child of the devil. That is the reason why they lie, cheat, steal, and communicate with vulgarity.
Would someone please explain why there is so much vulgarity flowing from the mouths, pens, and keyboards of those who call themselves Christians? You can see it for yourself. Go to Facebook right now, and see how many vulgar words are being used by those you think are believers. Sure, they think hiding vulgarity in code (OMG, etc.) is not the same thing. Shame on anyone who tries to defend “hidden swearing”. If I were an unbeliever, I sure would not be impressed with the fact that your foul language is just like mine.
You sure wouldn’t expect to hear this kind of language at church, right? Then you might want to listen a bit more carefully. Have you listened carefully to the conversations of teens? What boggles my mind is that several “evangelical gurus” have been championing vulgar language inside their messages and teaching. It may get some laughs, but it is not funny. Teaching others to sin does not set well with a holy God. Those who feel free to abuse grace hate it when their feet are held to the fire. When they are angry about the message, they attack the messenger. That is an old liberal trick.
APPLICATION
This seems like an impossible task. How do we get rid of this plague? In our own lives, we follow the commandment “But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation”.
(I Peter 1:15) Since God lives within us, the answer is that His holiness makes it possible for us to live His holiness out in our living and speech. That means we don’t defend vulgarity in our lives or in the lives of others. Remember – silence is approval.’ https://shepherdstaff.wordpress.com/2017/05/16/vulgarity-celebrated/
