Throughout the pandemic we heard about gain of function. It’s puzzling how government could be involved in such sinister activity. Claiming it was beneficiary, as Fauci did, only added more questions and more skepticism about government’s motives — or rotten ignorance, take your pick.

Now, however, the border is the biggest crisis with the most immediate impact and damage. It only slowed a little during the pandemic. But now it is off historic charts and, like inflation did to gas prices, has shattered any past records.

So where is the common denominator? The border seems to be operating like a gain of function program. Let’s just see how bad we, the American government, can make it. Let’s get it to the worst possible scenario so we can figure out how to react to it, treat it, or not. And let’s see how we can use it for some political gain…

Who really is Joey Bananas anyway? It’s a fair question. This week he told a press conference in a fake Italian accent: “I may be Irish, but I’m not stupid. I married Dominic Giacoppa’s daughter so, you know, I got a little Italian in me now.”

What did he mean by that? Only his hairdresser knows.

Was he insinuating he married a girl whose family is genetically connected to the Italian mob? Does that make him a made-man by marriage? Does it mean our First Lady has connections to Italians and the mob? Is he romancing Italian mob family stereotypes?

Actually, it was Jill’s grandfather who was connected to that name, not Jill’s father. So he even has his family tree screwed up.
