Environmental bureaucrats are out to save you from pizza.

The city government is set to restrict emissions from coal- and wood-fired pizza ovens in restaurants in the city.

New Yorkers are once again suffering at the hands of the unelected food police in the name of public health and climate change.

New Yorkers have already endured former Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s attempts to ban soda sales of over 16 ounces for their own good and are facing Gov. Kathy Hochul’s gas stove and furnace bans in the state, all in the name of climate change.

And now, another one bites the crust as New York City officials are going after pizzerias using the century-old cooking methods, citing the ovens’ allegedly excessive carbon emissions.

Two young teens in England published an anonymous letter to their education secretary indicating that they were “too frightened” to tell their classmates that there are only two genders. For a world that ostracizes you for holding traditional values or for not fully embracing “wokesim,” I don’t blame them.

Supposedly the 14-year-old girls wrote a letter to Gillian Keegan and insisted that they want her to recognize “what it’s like in a school environment where dissenting voices are stifled” and “extreme ideologies are presented as fact,” the Telegraph noted.

The girls wrote that they weren’t alone in feeling “ostracisation and bullying from students who adopt the authoritarian dogma of gender ideology” and pointed out that in classes, even teachers push the leftist talking points. Supposedly teachers claimed that the Greek god of Zeus was “non-binary” and that Lady Macbeth was “gender-fluid.”

There she blows: Mega Southern Ocean wind farm zone unveiled

About 200 kilometres of Southern Ocean coastline could be unlocked to become an offshore wind farm zone stretching from Warrnambool in Victoria to Port MacDonnell in South Australia – potentially creating 3000 ongoing jobs in the region.

Energy Minister Chris Bowen says the proposed zone would apply to 5100 square kilometres offshore, including near Portland, which is home to one of the country’s largest smelters and draws on significant amounts of electricity.

Any turbines operating within the wind farm zone would be at least 10 kilometres from shore. Public consultation on the proposed zone opens on Wednesday and will run until August 31.

Claims about an inevitable wind and solar transition show wishful thinking is no match for the laws of physics. Sunset (a daily occurrence, for the uninitiated) and calm weather (also a common and natural phenomenon) are where the physical reality begins; and the much-heralded shift to an all-wind and solar-powered future begins to unravel.

Then comes the laws of thermodynamics, which mean overblown claims about giant batteries soon being able to store enough power to meet daily demand – whenever wind and solar output routinely collapse – will remain in the realms of fantasy.

True enough, the wind and sun cultist – like ideologues of all shades – isn’t the strongest when it comes to logic and reason and struggles miserably when it comes to maths and physics.

Sterling Burnett, on the other hand, proves to be rather solid on all those counts.
