As I went through the article at least two points jumped out at me and they were (1) mental illness and (2) sexuality. The mention of these two spoke volumes about Steve Austin and sadly this story is that of many others who professed to be a Christian and have committed suicide. This may seem harsh, but, as God’s Word tells us 2Co 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
Therefore, let’s ask first: What is mental illness? Well, “even the writers of psychology’s authoritative manual on mental illness, The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM), cannot agree on what constitutes a mental illness.” The same writer continues to say “The definition of mental illness can be changed so easily because mental illness does not really exist.”https://biblicalcounseling.com/resource-library/articles/can-jesus-heal-mental-illness-part-1/
Bible believing people accept that we are made in the image of the Creator and one of the attributes we possess is that of thinking. Jesus said in Matthew 15:19, 20 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies: 20 These are the things which defile a man.
Our mind (heart) is the place where our thoughts are produced and then proceed. It sounds cruel but bluntly these people who profess to be Christians and are stuck on mental illness and sexuality have NEVER been saved. Romans 10:9,10 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. NOTE the word RIGHTEOUSNESS.
The Apostle straight out tells us that unregenerate people have depraved sexual preferences. Romans 1:24-28 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: 25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. 26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. 28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
These people have wars within due to not being saved but trying to live what they consider or perceive to be Christianity. Again, the Apostle to the Gentiles wrote in Romans 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: and 8:6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
Because the “churches” have accepted the lies of the world there are those who are trying to live a Christian life according to their own terms without turning from sin to Christ! The church at Thessalonica is an example as Paul wrote in 1Thessalonians 1:9 For they themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God.
We will see more of these suicides because so much of contemporary Christianity has thrown away Biblical Theology to swallow the Kool Aid of the world’s psychology.
‘The Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration says the benefits of the AstraZeneca vaccine far outweigh the risks after a woman died from a blood clot in the brain in the state of New South Wales (NSW).
The TGA says the 52-year-old who died was among four new clotting cases linked to the vaccine.
The other three involved a 77-year-old man from NSW, a 70-year-old man from South Australia, and an 87-year-old South Australian woman.
There are also four other cases with a “probable” link to the AstraZeneca vaccine, the TGA said. They are a woman, 50, and two men, aged 83 and 91, all from NSW, and a woman, 74, from Victoria.
The clotting condition linked to the vaccine is called thrombosis with thrombocytopenia syndrome (TTS).
So far Australia has seen 35 confirmed cases of TTS, and 13 probable cases.
Two died in hospital, 15 remain in hospital including one who is critically ill in intensive care, and 31 have been discharged and are recovering, including some who still need medical care.
The first death involved a 55-year-old-man from NSW who died eight days after being vaccinated.
While he did have blood clots and issues with his blood platelets, he did not meet the TGA’s diagnostic criteria for TTS. As such experts could not conclusively determine if his death was related to the vaccine.
The TGA said reporting rates of TTS in Australia remain consistent with what is being seen around the world.
“With the ongoing risk of COVID outbreaks in Australia and the potential for severe long-term effects or fatal consequences of infection, the benefits for the AstraZeneca vaccine continue to outweigh the risks,” it said on Thursday.

In introducing Hillsong global senior pastors Brian and Bobbie Houston, Collier acknowledged the denomination’s recent controversies. “It’s been a difficult year, but you’re the greatest leaders I’ve ever met,” Collier told them. “We pray against demonic forces” and for “victory in Jesus’ name” for the Houstons, he added.

‘Fans of Outsiders – Sky’s best current affairs program – will recall Ross Cameron and his love of the great Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius. Indeed, during Cameron’s tenure it was a running gag on the show that some insight of Aurelius’s would each week be worked into the show. You see, Marcus Aurelius was not only one of the great Roman Emperors, reigning in the late second century A.D. (anno domini for those of us who hate all things PC such as the now demanded C.E.), and after whose reign that Empire began on its slow path of decline and fall. Aurelius was also a famous Stoic philosopher best known for his Meditations (written in Greek). So this was a successful soldier, statesman and bilingual stoic philosopher.
Now given all that, you might think it absurd to find yourself, as I did, comparing our Prime Minister Scott Morrison to Marcus Aurelius. And, of course, it is laughable, on just about every level going. But let me explain.
Yesterday I was flipping through some of the better-known quotes from Aurelius, as the man is a treasure trove of maxims. And it hit me what a hollow, principle-free man our supposedly liberal Prime Minister is, a truth this government’s response to the pandemic has lain bare.
Take just these three adages or aphorisms from the great Stoic Aurelius’s Meditations. ‘If you have been placed in a position above others, are you automatically going to behave like a despot? Remember who you are and whom you govern.’ Or ‘Take a good hard look at people’s ruling principle … what they run away from and what they seek.’ Or again, ‘The object of life is not to be on the side of the majority, but to escape finding oneself in the ranks of the insane.’
Reading those insights, I couldn’t help thinking, yet again, that this Coalition government’s response to the Covid virus has been awful and that Morrison’s lack of ruling principles has been both telling as well as very, very costly to the rest of us, especially the young.
Basically, Australia’s response has stunk and the costs of our political class’s decisions will become ever more evident and keep piling up for decades and decades to come. I know, I know, I know. - The PM arrives in Britain for the weekend’s G7 summit in Cornwall. - All eyes will be on how US president Joe Biden performs. Will he be an effective leader of the free world, or will he be auditioning for the title role in a remake of Weekend at Bernie’s?
- Defence minister Peter Dutton is saying Australia’s Collins Class submarines will have $10 billion spent on them to keep them at sea until the French boats start arriving in the mid-2030s. That makes a $50 billion project at least $60 billion. As we commented on Monday, Mr Dutton should take a long hard look at why the French manned submarines are needed at all.
- Melbourne is sort of being let out of lockdown today, with figurative ankle bracelets keeping Melburnians within 25 kilometres from their homes until further notice. But Wednesday’s gracious permission to not wear masks outside was rescinded by the Andrews government after just 24 hours, with no substantial reason given.
