ABC anchor David Muir offered 15 seconds: “The President taking the stage at the anti- abortion rights rally. His administration threatening to withhold federal funds from California for requiring private insurers to cover abortions. California’s governor dismissing the threat.”
If conservative protesters are not ignored, they’re most likely to be portrayed as a menace to polite society….even when the protests are nonviolent. Ten years ago, when the Tea Party assembled on Capitol Hill to oppose the passage of Obamacare as unconstitutional, “ugly” was the network term for the tone of the protests.
“Late word from Washington tonight about just how ugly the crowds gathered outside the Longworth Office Building have become,” warned David Muir on March 20, 2010. “We learned that as Congressman Emanuel Cleaver of Missouri was leaving his office, someone in the crowd spit on him. There are also reports of racial and homophobic slurs, one targeting Congressman John Lewis, the famous civil rights champion, and the other involving Congressman Barney Frank. But Cleaver’s spitting claim and the yelling of the N-word were never proven. Andrew Breitbart pledged $100,000 to the United Negro College Fund if anyone provided proof of the N-words, and no one had the goods.
Over at CBS, anchor Bob Schieffer doubled down: “A yearlong debate that’s been rancorous and mean from the start turned even nastier yesterday.”
Let’s repeat: the accusations were that these “nasty” right-wingers said mean words. There was no looting, rioting, burning, vandalism, or violence. No one’s life or limbs were in danger.
Fast-forward ten years to 2020. Left-wingers in Portland and other cities are tearing things down, burning things up, and throwing projectiles at police. Hundreds of cops are being injured. Several suffered possibly permanent eye damage from high-powered lasers.
But the protesters (and rioters) are now on the Left, so the weasel words and the euphemisms flow. Reporters mumble about “mostly peaceful” protests. None of these “objective” referees measure the tone of the Left as possibly “rancorous and mean and nasty.” When you’re protesting police officers and federal security guards, there’s no need to offer dignified discourse.
Compare David Muir in 2010 to Muir on July 27: “Now to those protests turning violent. Demonstrators squaring off with federal officers in Portland, Oregon. Protests over racial injustice intensifying. Local leaders say the federal presence is only fueling this.”
Muir and his colleagues have a real chicken-or-the-egg problem here. Federal security officers arrived to defend federal property under attack from violent leftists. How is it that ABC is suddenly trying to sound “fair and balanced” when it comes to “local leaders” attempting to destroy a federal building, something we all fund with our taxes?
ABC’s Twitter account sounded even worse as leftists erupted in Oakland: “Protesters in California set fire to a courthouse, damaged a police station and assaulted officers after a peaceful demonstration intensified.” If someone punched David Muir in the face, would that be a “peaceful demonstration intensified”?

Fedcoin was initially included in the first coronavirus spending bill. While the proposal was dropped from the final version of the bill, there is still great interest in fedcoin on Capitol Hill. Some progressives have embraced fedcoin as a way to provide Americans with a “universal basic income.”
Both the Senate Banking Committee and the House Financial Services Committee held hearings on fedcoin in June. This is the first step toward making fedcoin a reality.
Fedcoin would not be an actual coin. Instead, it would be a special account created and maintained for each American by the Federal Reserve. Each month, Fed employees could tap a few keys on a computer and — bingo — each American would have dollars added to his Federal Reserve account. This is the 21st century equivalent of throwing money from helicopters.
Fedcoin could effect private cryptocurrencies. Also, it would limit the ability of private citizens to protect themselves from the Federal Reserve-caused decline in the dollar’s value.
Fedcoin would not magically increase the number of available goods and services. What it would do is drive up prices. The damage this would do to middle- and lower-income Americans would dwarf any benefit they receive from their monthly “gift” from the Fed. The rise in prices could lead to Congress regularly increasing fedcoin payments to Americans. These increases would cause prices to keep rising even more until we face hyperinflation and a dollar crisis. Of course, we are already on the path to an economic crisis thanks to the Fed. Fedcoin will hasten and worsen the crisis.
Fedcoin poses a great threat to privacy. The Federal Reserve could know when fedcoin is used, who is using it, and what they use it for. This information could be shared with government agencies, such as the FBI or IRS.
The government could use the ability to know how Americans are spending fedcoin to limit our ability to purchase goods and services disfavored by politicians and bureaucrats. Anyone who doubts this should recall the Obama administration’s Operation Choke Point. Operation Choke Point involved financial regulators “alerting” banks that dealing with certain businesses, such as gun stores, would put the banks at “reputational risk” and could subject them to greater regulation.
Is it so hard to believe that the ability to track purchases would be used in the future to “discourage” individuals from buying guns, fatty foods, or tobacco, or from being customers of corporations whose CEOs are not considered “woke” by the thought police? Fedcoin could also be used to “encourage” individuals to patronize “green” business, thus fulfilling Fed Chair Jerome Powell’s goal of involving the Fed in the fight against climate change.

‘Google CEO Sundar Pichai has defended the takedown of numerous videos of doctors sharing their opinions on the coronavirus from Google-owned video sharing platform YouTube.
During a House Judiciary Committee Hearing on antitrust law with Big Tech CEOs, Congressman Greg Steube said that in two separate instances he’d been sent YouTube links to videos featuring doctors sharing their opinion that the drug hydroxychloroquine is effective for the treatment of the coronavirus and that it’s appropriate for children to return back to school.
However, when Steube attempted to open the links and view the videos, he said the videos had been taken down for violating YouTube’s community guidelines.
Steube asked Pichai how doctors giving their opinion on a drug that they think is effective for the treatment of COVID-19 or sharing their opinion on it being appropriate for children to return to school violates YouTube’s community guidelines.
Pichai responded by insisting that Google believes in freedom of expression and that there’s a lot of debate on YouTube about effective ways to deal with the coronavirus but that during the pandemic, if a doctor’s advice conflicts with the guidance from local health authorities on medical misinformation, YouTube will take it down.
“We look to local health authorities, so for example, in the US it would be CDC [Centers for Disease Control and Prevention], for guidelines around medical misinformation in a narrow way which could cause harm in the real world,” Pichai said.
Steube challenged Pichai and said that the doctor’s comments on YouTube are free expression of speech:
“I don’t understand why YouTube and therefore Google thinks it’s appropriate to silence physicians and their opinion of what can help then cure people with COVID-19.”
Steube didn’t cite the specific videos he was referring to but numerous videos from doctors have been removed by YouTube amid the coronavirus pandemic this year including a press conference from America’s Frontline Doctors, an anti-lockdown video from doctors, and the Dr. Judy Mikovits Plandemic documentary.
While there is often debate over the most effective treatment options in the field of medicine, Google and other tech giants are aggressively enforcing their policy of censoring anything that goes against the advice of local health authorities such as the CDC.
Pichai’s statements are the latest of several that have reaffirmed YouTube’s position of relying on health authorities such as the CDC and the World Health Organization (WHO) instead of the merits or qualifications of the person producing the video.
Some of these health authorities that are being used by the tech giants as arbiters of truth have infamously changed their recommendations and contradicted their own previous advice on the coronavirus. For example, the CDC went from recommending people don’t wear masks to calling for people to wear masks.
Not only are the recommendations of these health authorities being used to decide which videos go down but YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki has also stated that news coverage determines whether videos from doctors get reinstated.

Like coronavirus, rainbow gender fluid theory has jumped from our “Safe Schools” to the once respected Australian Academy of Science which inhabits Canberra’s iconic Shine Dome.
The academy has decreed that a woman is “anyone who identifies as a woman”.
I kid you not.
If you thought a woman had a vagina, breasts and XX chromosomes, think again.
Someone with a penis, normally referred to as a man, whose “personal gender identity does not correspond with sex assigned at birth” can be a woman our scientists now tell us.
Apparently, we’ve been wrongly “assigning” babies their gender just because they were born with certain biological physical features.
Confused?
It gets worse. This new definition of woman appears as part of the noble push to get more women into science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
It is contained in the glossary on page 58 of the academy’s Women in STEM Decadal Plan.
It goes without saying that in today’s PC rainbow fascist world you are a bigot if you disagree.
For the record, the glossary was silent on the definition of man.
It’s almost like the Women in STEM Decadal Plan is tailor-made for mediocre male scientists who might be looking for a career leg up by changing their gender identity.
Heck, they wouldn’t even have to have surgery or take oestrogen.
Like women and girls striving to compete with biological men under transgender guidelines released by Sports Minister Rickard Colbeck last year, women scientists seeking to get ahead in STEM now may also have to make way for biological males.
As Bernard Lane, who broke the story pointed out, the academy’s president John Shine is using the current Covid-19 crisis to campaign for accurate science against “made-up stuff”.

Evolutionary biologist Madeleine Beekman, a professor at the University of Sydney, said the academy had departed from biological fact.
“I find it very surprising that it comes from the academy of science, which should be based on science and not on some social, political agenda — so, I’m shocked, actually,” she told The Australian.
As Lane also pointed out, the Women in STEM Decadal Plan is paid for by the taxpayer. That’s you and me, folks.

The Planning Department is headed by Jim Betts, one of the speakers on Tuesday, who is obsessed by this stuff. His real job should be to fast-track and approve development and employment-creating projects in NSW, but seemingly, he spends more time on Diversity than Economic Growth. The NSW Government says it’s going deep into deficit, but in June, as part of Betts’ empire building, he advertised for a Manager, Diversity and Inclusion Strategy in the Planning Department on $164,000 pa. The Government’s policy is ‘No pay rise for NSW police officers or paramedics’ but they have money for this position, designated to work with the Harmony and Diversity Councils. There is no peer-reviewed academic study anywhere in the world showing that ‘Diversity’ improves staff productivity and output. It’s mostly a McKinseys invention to make money from their consultancies. You will see in the picture for Tuesday’s event, people holding up the slogan ‘Reflecting our Communities’. This is the argument NSW Ministers put for this rubbish agenda: our public service must look like the community it serves. At Budget Estimates, I asked Treasury officials (who have also drunk the Diversity Koolaid) how many homeless, unemployed people or public housing tenants they have recruited to be ‘Reflecting Our Communities’ and they said none; they contact the poor in NSW by talking to NCOSS (the social welfare peak body). How pathetic. I asked Betts’ Minister Rob Stokes the same question on the Notice Paper, and he said they don’t collect that kind of employment data. So it’s a Selective Diversity and Inclusion policy: only benefiting the sexuality groups that matter to Betts, not the poor and disadvantaged in NSW. Gay or transgender? You’re in the loop. Unemployed or a public housing tenant? Forget about it. The Left complain about ‘colonisation’ but under the likes of Betts, the NSW Public Service has been colonised on the basis of sexuality. The LGBTIQWTF community is 2-3 percent of the NSW population, yet receives red carpet treatment in the ‘Inclusion’ agenda. Poor people are 10 percent of NSW and they don’t get a look in. Premier Berejiklian has not only personally endorsed this agenda, but taken it further. After last year’s election, she issued ‘Premier’s Priorities’ for female and Indigenous employment quotas in the public service (even though women already make up two-thirds of that workforce).NSW has special employment programs for women, Aborigines and refugees but not early school leavers, the homeless or public housing tenants. The Left-wing Public Service Commission runs special taxpayer-funded ‘diversity’ training sessions for staff, including the zany notion of ‘unconscious bias’ – that we have voices in our heads telling us to discriminate against people. By this system, a white male public housing tenant in NSW, who wants nothing more than to be treated equally and have a fair chance of getting a public service job, is not only discriminated against in NSW Government employment processes. But if he did fluke a job with them, he then has to go to training sessions telling him he’s the one who is racist, sexist and homophobic. We need to understand the sickness of what’s going on here. Ruling elites like Berejiklian and Don Harwin (the NSW Minister for the Public Service) have constructed a system that not only discriminates against people not like them (male and straight) but then justifies it by blaming the victims of the identity discrimination they created. The madness and bias goes further. Jim Betts is also a member of the NSW Construction Industry Culture Standard Committee, which is drawing up new guidelines for construction companies wanting to win contracts from the NSW Government (new schools, hospitals, roads etc). He’s insisting on companies displaying ‘gender equity’ in their employment policies, even though not many women see a career on (dangerous) construction sites; plus an end to workplace ’sexism’ such as ‘girlie pictures’ in the men’s change rooms. Otherwise the companies won’t be eligible to tender for NSW Government projects. It’s another personal self-indulgence. The NSW Budget is going into heavy deficit and all that matters is value for money – the cost effectiveness of tenders, not Betts’ identity political obsessions, costing companies and taxpayers money for no gain in the efficiency of the construction projects. The best job creator in NSW, one single decision that would help massively? Sack Jim Betts. This is what the NSW Coalition Government has come to: obsessed with LGBTIQ units and ‘girlie pictures’ on the walls of building sites, rather than professional, efficient public service outcomes for the people of NSW.
