Coal or freeze!
Germans apparently aren’t keen on freezing in the dark, so they’ve started trashing wind turbines to expand the coal supplies that prevent that kind of misery.
There are more than 30,000 wind turbines spread across Deutschland, with thousands more off the German coast.
Notwithstanding brave talk about killing off their coal-fired power plants, made redundant by all of those thousands of whirling wonders, now it’s a case of full steam ahead. The future of German coalmines and the coal-fired power plants they fuel has never looked brighter.
