‘New South Wales ministers are calling for the sacking of an Australian primary school teacher after anti-police and Black Lives Matter posters, which were created by the students, were found displayed around the classroom.‘ Follow the link and meet the disgusting stuff this teacher is putting into the minds of the students. What kind of society does this teacher want to live in?
‘The Daily Telegraph reported that Year 5 and 6 students at Lindfield Learning Village in Sydney made placards which said “Stop killer cops” and “White lives matter too much.” It also included other slogans such as “We can’t breathe” and “Pigs out of the country.”
New South Wales (NSW) Police Minister David Elliott called for the teacher to be sacked and said the posters were evidence of the political “indoctrinating and brainwashing” of left-wing ideologies in schools.
“We’re supposed to be telling our kids that if you wear a uniform, you’re a hero,” Elliot told 2GB radio. “They have completely let their student body down by indoctrinating and brainwashing them at a time when they should be learning how to read and write.”
Elliot was concerned that the controversial issues from America around police were being imported into Australian society.
The Australian PM is following Biden like a puppy DOG down the road of the CLIMATE SCAM SO Therefore, why is the Police Minister questioning why this is being taught in the schools?
The other day I was waiting outside the grocery store for my wife when I saw a Telsa do a U-turn at the roundabout. Now, that caught my eye as there are not many Telsas in our city of fifty thousand. However, in spite of the woke politicians it is doubtful many Telsas will not make it into many homes but horses and a carriage might. Anyway, in the US state of Nuts and Fruit ‘With half of the EV’s in the entire country being located in California, the recent 2021 California study may be a downer for the EV excitement as it shows that EV’s are driven half as much as internal combustion engine vehicles. The study illustrates that EV’s are generally second vehicles and not the primary workhorse vehicle for those few elites that can afford them.
Another challenge for the EV growth is the EV charging dependence on intermittent electricity from wind and solar. Adding EV charging loads onto the grid that is becoming more unstable is like putting salt in the wound. Power outages are now commonplace in California and Texas with more to follow throughout the nation as we adjust to a life dependent upon the time of day and the weather.
The highly educated, and well compensated EV owners that take advantage of State and Federal subsidies are sparingly using their “green” vehicles. With them setting the pace, how will the middle-income and those on fixed incomes be able to buy into the EV evolution?
The California EV market is looking for the less fortunate to belly up and join the EV train. That may prove to be a financial challenge with 45 percent of the California population – that’s a whopping 18 of the 40 million residents of the state – being Hispanic and African American – having average incomes of less than half of present EV owners. Additionally, California has the highest homeless population which is the fifth largest percentage of homeless (behind D.C., New York, and Hawaii, and Oregon), and has the second highest poverty rate.
The unintended consequences Governor Newsom’s recent Executive order to ban the sale of gas-powered vehicles by 2035 may be an incentive for those least likely being able to afford a new car, or a second car, to continuously re-register their existing internal combustion vehicles.
Governor Newsom may have forgotten that whatever type of vehicles uses the roads, there are huge funding requirements for both California’s transportation infrastructure, and for the numerous environmental compliance programs that have come from the gas pumps. The state and federal subsidies help lower the price of EV’s, but EV owners do not pay any gas taxes for California’s almost 400,000 miles of roadways that are heavily dependent on road taxes from fuels that contribute more than $7 billion annually, the same tax base that will be diminishing in the decades ahead.
EV buyers hope to save from the cost of fuels as the all-in posted price of fuel at the pump includes non-transparent costs added to the actual fuel costs, such as: federal tax, excise tax, state tax, local sales tax, cap and trade program compliance costs, low-carbon fuel standard program compliance costs, and renewable fuels standard program compliance costs.
California’s Newsom may also have forgotten that his own Democrats overwhelmingly defeated Senator John Moorlach’s sponsored SB 1074 in 2018 “Disclosure of government-imposed costs” at the pump. The Supermajority Democrats in the legislature remain content with non-transparency of the numerous costs that are “dumped” onto the posted price of fuel, as they are content with keeping the public blissfully ignorant of the many taxes and regulatory costs that drive up prices, to the point that Californians continue to pay almost $1.00 more per gallon of fuel than the rest of the country. An Exxon gas station recently expressed their “transparency opinion” at the pump.
EV buyers beware that the “tax equalizer”, the “VMT” is coming. The Vehicle Mileage Tax (VMT) that has been discussed for years sounds like a logical idea – requiring the users of the highways to pay the fees to maintain those highways. The VMT tax will be needed to replace the $7 billion annually from fuel sales that will be diminishing in the decades ahead.
The challenge for a VMT will be how to implement that great idea which may require annual odometer readings! Lookout for Governor Newsom’s next Executive Order for a VMT requiring annual odometer readings so that each person pays their fair share to maintain the roads they are using to replace the diminishing fuel taxes!
In the United States there were17 million vehicles of all types sold in 2019. EV sales were a dismal 2 percent of the total, i.e., about 350 thousand. California new car sales were more than 10 percent of the nation as California vehicle sales have exceeded 2 million for three straight years.
In a recent Los Angeles Times article, citing Edmunds data, The number of battery-electric models available more than doubled from 2018 to 2019, but EV sales budged in the wrong direction. In response to the major efforts by manufacturers, the horrific EV sales data shows that only 325,000 electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles were sold in the U.S. in 2019, down from 349,000 in 2018. As mentioned previously, half of all EV’s in America are in one state – California. The rest of the country seems to be less enthralled with EV’s. Are EV carmakers driving off a cliff?”
‘ROCK HARD SKELETONS RESIST CLIMATE CHANGE, according to articles in Rutgers University News 8 April 2021, SciTech Daily 18 April 2021 and, Journal of the Royal Society Interface, 24 February 2021, doi: 10.1098/rsif.2020.0859. Coral reefs are formed as coral animals lay down a hard rock-like material that consists of the mineral aragonite, a type of calcium carbonate, along with various organic molecules including proteins, lipids and sugars. The process of making this combination of minerals and organic molecules is called biomineralization. Scientists at Rutgers University carried out detailed studies of proteins in the mineralised skeleton of a coral named Stylophora pistillata and found they were not just a random mix in a mineral matrix. They found over 20 different proteins forming a highly organised intricate network, consisting of a framework built by collagens, fibronectin and laminin that supports calcium binding proteins that form the aragonite crystals.
They concluded: “These spatial arrangements clearly show that protein–protein interactions in coral skeletons are highly coordinated and are key to understanding the formation and persistence of coral skeletons through time”. Manjula Mummadisetti, who led the study, explained “It’s important to understand the mechanisms of coral biomineralization and how these invaluable animals persist during the era of anthropogenic climate change”. Another scientist in the study, Paul Falkowski commented: “Our findings suggest that corals will withstand climate change caused by human activities, based on the precision, robustness and resilience of their impressive process for forming rock-hard skeletons.” Links: Rutgers, SciTech Daily
ED. COM. The process of forming coral skeletons is certainly impressive. The minerals give them hardness, fibrous proteins such as collagen which give them resilience, but these must be organised in a way that make best use of the properties of both. We have long known that mineralised organic structures, such as shells and our own bones, get their strength from the way the components are organised as much as from the substances they are made from. The result is a structure that is hard and rigidly holds its shape, but resists being cracked and broken by strong forces acting on it. It is no surprise that coral skeletons have the same highly organised robust structure as they live in an environment of where they are constantly exposed to strong forces from moving water. Anyone caught in a rip or knocked over by a wave in the surf knows what a powerful force moving water can be. This is why coral skeletons and fossil corals resist erosion and weathering long after death.
It seems that to get anything reported in the popular media these days it has to be linked with climate change. The original scientific report has a passing reference to climate change in the introduction, but nothing in the results or conclusion, which concentrate on describing the brilliant organisation of the coral skeleton proteins. However, the news released all revolve around climate change, with the inevitable claim that it is caused by human activity. In their obsession with climate change these researchers and media reporters are missing the real point – an intricately organised structure needs an organiser. The Creator who made the first coral animals programmed into their DNA the information for making the proteins and the control functions for laying them down in the right spatial arrangement to give the mineralised skeletons the strength and resilience needed to live in the environment He placed them in. Coral reefs, living and fossil, are more rock-solid evidence of creative design.’https://creationresearch.net/
Recently one of our Federal Senators from New South Wales (Concetta Flerra Vanti-Wells) sent out a pdf booklet detailing various subjects ranging from China, Free Speech and Climate Change to name a few. She is unique in that she seems to be a realist and not one that follows the herd just to be accepted. The following is from Page 63. ‘Over the past decade there has been much said and written about man’s contribution to the warming of our planet, much of it characterised by emotive and alarmist language by those pushing their respective agendas. When asked whether you believe in climate change the answer is ‘yes’, because there has always been climate change on planet earth. In August 2019, the media build-up of an impending hot, dry summer appears to have set the scene for the unhinged, including those with criminal intent, to act. It defies logic that the number of bushfires in different parts of Australia took hold so quickly and apparently all at once, thereby destroying property, livelihoods and wildlife and, in worst-case scenarios, causing the deaths of 33 people. The history of our sunburnt country suggests that bushfires can start from lightning strikes, downwind spot fires from cinders in high winds, fallen powerlines, carelessness by citizens and, unfortunately, arson attack. An article by Dr Paul Read, an ecological criminologist and sustainability scientist at Monash University published in the Sydney Morning Herald on 18 November 2019 that was titled ‘Arson, mischief and recklessness: 87 per cent of fires are man-made’. His article provides an excellent synopsis of the facts with respect to bushfires in Australia. It states that there are, on average, 62,000 fires in Australia every year and satellite studies have shown that lightning strikes are responsible for only 13% of all fires. He also cites 2015 satellite analysis of 113,000 fires from 1997-2009 which indicates that 40% of fires are deliberately lit and another 47% accidental. Following is the full op-ed piece by Dr Paul Read of 18 November 2019: Carbon dioxide (CO2) has been much maligned by those who fail to acknowledge its importance to the health of our planet. Plants and trees absorb CO2 and release oxygen. Also, phytoplankton in our oceans absorb CO2 and produce up to half of earth’s oxygen supply. We need the process and CO2 for our very existence on earth. To make informed scientific judgement with respect to climate, it is vital to have academic freedom; and, peer review remains integral to academic freedom. The politicisation of climate science has not only stifled debate but credible scientists have been ridiculed and marginalised for daring to pursue scientific methods and the conduct of peer review. The treatment of Dr Peter Ridd from James Cook University is only one case of how universities are trying to stymie or stop academic debate on climate change. They prefer outcomes that accord with the herd mentality against CO2. For the record, CO2 is not a pollutant.’ Page 63 from a PDF sent via email.
‘Woke green European politicians love to lecture us in Australia about how Europe is ‘transitioning to renewables’. And woke green Australian politicians and our leftist media parrot the Europeans. But it’s all a conjob. Only 15% of Europe’s (EU 27) total energy supply comes from ‘renewables’. However as Bjorn Lomborg points out, while the public has been brainwashed into thinking ‘renewables’ means wind and solar power – the vast majority of Europe’s ‘renewable energy’ comes from Biomass (that’s wood). Wind and Solar provided just 2% and 1% of Europe’s energy in 2019.And yet, we’ve had people in Australia fooled into believing the delusion that in a few short years we can run our entire economy on Chinese solar panels and wind turbines. The world is laughing at us.’https://www.facebook.com/CraigKellyMP
‘Winchester University in Britain has decided to build a $40 000 statue of Greta Thunberg, a person who wagged school to go sailing around the world preaching the politics of the woke left. Time and time again students who just want to study hard and do well in their course to get a job have to put up with the constant pushing of leftist ideology by the university elites. How Dare They!!’https://www.facebook.com/MarkLathamsOutsiders/?ref=page_internal
Yeah, this is just what we want to save the world! ‘Boosters assert that the hopeless intermittency of wind and solar will soon be remedied by the addition of giant lithium batteries. Well, that’s the marketing pitch tossed up by renewable energy rent seekers, anyway.
Which, given the article below, may be no bad thing.
How do you Extinguish a Lithium Battery Fire? Watts Up With That? Eric Worall 4 March 2021
A few weeks ago I asked a fire fighter friend how they extinguish electric vehicle battery fires.
He said “Oh you mean like a Tesla or something? The answer is you can’t. You cordon off the area, and spray a fine mist of water on the fire to try to keep the temperature down until it finishes burning. Takes a few days until it is safe”.
The problem is, besides being highly flammable, lithium is literally the lightest metal. At atomic number 3, it is the first element in the periodic table which is a solid. The two previous elements, hydrogen and helium, are both gasses.
Lithium is so light, it floats on water (lithium density 0.543, half the density of water). Lithium is entirely happy to blaze away while sitting on the surface of a puddle of water.
So if you try to smother a lithium fire with sand, the sand sinks to the bottom, and the lithium floats on top.
Lithium melts at 180C / 356F, and burns at 2000C / 3632F – almost more than hot enough to melt steel, more than hot enough to destroy most composites and metals like aluminium.
The fumes from a burning lithium fire are highly toxic, capable of causing death or long term dementia like brain injuries – so you need to keep members of the public at a safe distance. Fire fighters need to wear respirators if they approach the flame.
There are chemical extinguishers, but my fire station friend didn’t seem to think much of them, at least not for large lithium fires.
I guess you might be able to smother a large lithium fire by dropping a Chernobyl style sarcophagus made of steel on top of it, or possibly made of some other material which could handle the heat. Then you could fill the sarcophagus with an inert gas like Argon, or just wait for the oxygen to run out. But equipping fire departments with a sarcophagus device large enough to smother an EV fire, and the equipment required to deploy it, would be an expensive exercise.
What does your fire department do when they have to extinguish a large lithium fire? I’d love to know, so I can tell Australian fire departments. Cordon off the area and spray a mist of water at the fire for a few days would be a serious inconvenience or worse, if the burning vehicle was say blocking an important road junction, on the high street, or in someone’s residential or workplace garage or workshop.’https://stopthesethings.com/2021/03/26/bonfire-bonanza-giant-lithium-batteries-literally-ready-to-explode-on-energy-scene/
‘Under the Barack Obama administration, China and the United States made significant progress on climate cooperation when the two countries laid the foundations of international support for the landmark 2015 Paris Agreement.
However, during his four-year presidency Donald Trump delivered a hammer blow to the global battle against climate change when he announced the withdrawal of the US from the accord in June 2017.
On Jan 20, Trump’s successor, Joe Biden, in one of his first acts as US president, signed an executive order reinstating his nation to the treaty.
When Biden served as Obama’s vice-president, he witnessed the work done on the agreement, and now as US president he has made it abundantly clear that climate change will be an urgent priority for his administration. His strong position is a welcome sign that the world’s two biggest carbon emitters can again work closely on tackling the climate crisis, experts said.’http://www.chinadaily.com.cn/a/202101/28/WS6011ee8ba31024ad0baa5885.html
This climate talk is a scam to make the CCP richer and the West poorer. Western leaders such as Sleepy Joe are in it for the money! Ask Hunter!
Have you heard much about there being too many people on this earth for awhile? No, I haven’t either but there are probably many reasons why we haven’t but me thinks the China Virus was foisted upon us for several reasons and one of those reasons was to get rid of people. The other reason the China Virus was allowed out of China onto the rest of the world is to hasten the eventual collapse of democracy. There you have it, at least two reasons for the China Virus, destroy democracies and depopulate the earth!
Here in Australia there is an organization known as the Sustainable Population Australia (SPA). Interestingly two of its patrons are former political hack and Premier of New South Wales Bob Carr and climate change scammer and liar Tim Flannery! Flannery is the one known for telling the rest of us dummies a few years ago there would never be enough rain fall to fill the rivers and damns here in Australia.
Ironically, right now as I write this the rain is literally pouring outside and they are evacuating people in Sydney and in Queensland from the flood waters. Not a peep is heard from the media on Tim Flannery’s BIG lies on climate change and no more rain!!!! Yes, Flannery continues to have a job and speaks all around Australia and even teaches University students about the scam known as CLIMATE CHANGE.
Well, anyway, these two men are patrons of the SPA which on its web site says that ‘Sustainable Population Australia is a community of people who are deeply concerned about environmental deterioration in the world, including climate change and biodiversity loss, and worried about the future for humanity.
Our members are not willing to accept the disingenuous claims that it is only our consumption behaviours, not our numbers, that matter for sustainability. They are dismayed by other environmental organisations’ neglect or misrepresentation of population issues.’ https://population.org.au/
Now, you have probably read or heard about the late “Crocodile Hunter” Steve Irwin. Well, his daughter Bindi has somewhat sought to fill her father’s shoes and one of her passions is to promote the depopulation of the earth! You may not know this but ‘In 2013, 14-year-old wildlife campaigner Bindi Irwin was invited by Hillary Clinton to write an article for Hillary’s e-Journal on why she had chosen to devote her life’s work to wildlife conservation. She wrote about needing to end population growth.
But when Hillary’s team sent back the proofs, they’d edited out those parts. So Bindi withdrew her article, and published the full text on social media.
These people are EVIL and they are not only anti-people but anti-God! Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
