The head of the U.S. Strategic Command, Adm. Charles Richard, recently alerted the world that when it comes to deterrence against China, “the ship is slowly sinking.”

That warning came on the heels of Chinese President Xi Jinping’s call for “a strong system of strategic deterrence,” a likely reference to Beijing’s nuclear arsenal, at the recent 20^th Chinese Communist Party Congress.

It is no secret that America’s electric power grid is becoming unreliable. The secret is whose fault it is. Not knowing who to blame makes it hard to fix.

If I could get a show of hands I bet that almost no one has heard of the North American Electric Reliability Corporation. They are called NERC which rhymes with jerk. They are a private corporation endowed with federal authority to keep America’s lights on. NERC makes and enforces the regulations governing grid reliability in America. The looming threat of numerous blackouts is their fault. They have obviously failed to maintain reliability, which is their specific mission.

The grid is sick and getting sicker.

From the Everything Is Racist department, Paul Sacca at The Blaze pointed out that health reporter Jacqueline Howard ginned up a CNN.com article titled: “Daylight Saving Time sheds light on lack of sleep’s disproportionate impact in communities of color.”

Surprise, surprise — Howard used to be a writer for The Huffington Post. It’s a lateral liberal move to CNN.

Too often simple reasoningwill not get a job done. You can wear yourself out explaining some very logical arguments. Too many folks already know everything they want to know.

Wind and solar electricity are renewable energy. How nice to pluck energy out of the air and the sky. It’s a scam. Big money corporations and uneducated dreamers, many called environmentalists, are cooperating to keep the scam going.

The big lie is that wind and solar are competitive with other sources of electricity. The reality is that wind and solar are subsidized by seventy percent. The scam is clever. Taxpayers and consumers of electricity are swindled with the cover story that they are saving the Earth.

Apparently, it has not dawned on the supporters of the scam that solar does not work at night and wind only works when the wind is…

Germans apparently aren’t keen on freezing in the dark, so they’ve started trashing wind turbines to expand the coal supplies that prevent that kind of misery.

There are more than 30,000 wind turbines spread across Deutschland, with thousands more off the German coast.

Notwithstanding brave talk about killing off their coal-fired power plants, made redundant by all of those thousands of whirling wonders, now it’s a case of full steam ahead. The future of German coalmines and the coal-fired power plants they fuel has never looked brighter.
