What are some of the ghastly things the GOP wants to do with a new committee?

The committee would also have full freedom to investigate any civil liberties-related issue and scrutinize how the federal government collected and used information about Americans, fueling right-wing paranoia about government overreach.

During his remarks Tuesday at the World Economic Forum meeting in Davos, Switzerland, John Kerry, President Joe Biden’s climate envoy, rather absurdly declared that “it’s so almost extraterrestrial to think about saving the planet.”

Indeed, Kerry’s assertion sounds so alien, particularly considering the reality of how China, the world’s top polluter, has avoided paying for climate damage.

According to a recent World Bank study, China emits 27% of global carbon dioxide and one-third of the world’s greenhouse gases. That exceeds those of the U.S. and other developed countries combined.

Two recent blog articles are worth flagging because they bear directly on FERC’s proposal to write rules that constrain the grid-threatening spread of renewables.

Written by an experienced power engineer, these articles explain the deep technical problems with increasing renewables while maintaining grid reliability. It is these problems that must be overcome, if they even can be, which is not clear at this point.

The “COVID Cartel” has censored and canceled American skeptics of the vaccine for nearly three years, but last night several of them told their horror stories on Jason Whitlock’s Fearless special. Silenced no more, many of these victims of Big Government, Big Pharma, Big Tech and Big Media revealed shocking and heartbreaking realities that should never happen in this country.

U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson (Rep-Wis.) called the cover-up of harms caused by the vaccine “corrupt” and “maniacal.” He said the pandemic provided “a golden opportunity to create a climate of fear in order to gain power and control of the citizens.” Along with a persistent state of denial about the collateral damage of the health of many Americans.

In an op-ed last year, Sen. Johnson said the timing of scapegoating the unvaccinated for the ongoing pandemic was no coincidence.

The most poignant portion of the 3-hour-plus 

Some of America’s biggest planned offshore wind projects have recently been axed, with more to follow. Deemed ‘uneconomic’, potential investors and financiers are running a mile from what portend to be enormous white elephants.

Where the true cost of onshore wind power is phenomenal, the cost of the offshore stuff is astronomical.

Going offshore brings with it exorbitant maintenance costs (think operating any metal-based machinery in a salt-laden marine environment), as well as the repair and maintenance of hundreds of kilometres of undersea cable, the cost of which often runs into the hundreds of millions of dollars for each operating project, over time.

Let’s face it, apart from the subsidies it attracts, there is no economic basis for wind power, anytime, anywhere, ever.
