Everyone should remember upfront before the Republican primaries really begin that Politico is a Democrat outlet. Look no further than Michael Kruse’s nasty piece on “The Casey DeSantis Problem.” Just read this and think of Hillary Clinton and Michelle Obama, and know how much liberals would freak out:
She is and always has been by far his most important adviser, they say, because she is hesitant to cede that space to nearly anybody else. The DeSantis inner circle is too small and remains so, they say, not only because he constitutionally doesn’t trust people but because she doesn’t either.
Especially forthright are the people who are granted anonymity on account of their fear of retribution given their power — not just his but hers. “She’s the power behind the throne,” a Republican lobbyist told me. “The tip of the spear,” said a Republican consultant.

America and the rest of the world are headed for food shortages if policymakers enact laws based on climate change.
The effort to “decarbonize” or to achieve “net zero” carbon emissions has led to deliberate policies to reduce consumption of fossil fuel energy, that is, oil, natural gas and coal. It also is leading to policies to reduce livestock, namely cows since they emit methane, and nitrogen gas, which is essential to produce fertilizer for farming and food production.
The climate industrial complex comprised of non-governmental organizations, the United Nations, the Biden administration, government-funded scientists, activists, and virtue-signaling billionaires are relentless about wielding power and control over the global population, especially in the United States. The ostensible purpose for their tyrannical impulse is to address a supposed “climate emergency” affecting the planet they claim is inexorably turning warmer to the point of an “existential threat”…

All the applause inside the liberal media bubble is going to “profiles in courage” like CNN host Christiane Amanpour. At the commencement for Columbia Journalism School, Amanpour slammed her bosses for providing a “town hall” platform for Donald Trump. Ex-CNN media reporter Dylan Byers said CNN is currently “a seismic mess” of “depleted morale” because “these are journalists: it’s their job to speak truth to power, even when it’s their boss.”
But that’s just baloney. Journalists like Amanpour don’t think it’s their job to “speak truth to power.” It’s their job to “speak truth” against the evil Republicans. She openly said her job was “activism” and “when we do it well, we can be a force for change and improvement in the world.” She said the job was “advancing human rights and democracy and defending both.”
Therefore, it’s their job to use their power to editorialize…

Italy seems to have more sense than our Australian politicians!

The Italian parliament, demonstrating confidence in Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, this week formally backed her plan to reintroduce nuclear power plants into Italy’s energy mix, reversing the nation’s 1987 moratorium on nuclear power. Meanwhile, energy-starved Germany is feeling the pinch from shuttering all of its 17 nuclear power plants.
The U.S. has closed 11 nuclear reactors since 2013, with another eight of the 94 remaining reactors scheduled for decommissioning by 2025. Although Presidents Trump and Biden have favored bolstering the U.S. nuclear energy portfolio, America’s bureaucrat-heavy regulatory jungle remains designed to drag out facility permitting and construction for decades.
The sad truth is that the energy crisis is imminent – we don’t have decades to play gotcha political games. Another truth – wind and solar cannot fully power the U.S. grid.
Meloni’s plan would enable Italy to generate up to 35 MW of power from nuclear…
